New Gene Screening Test to identify risk of miscarriage and implantation failure

Very recently a new genetic marker has been found that predisposes couples to risk of early or late miscarriage. If patients are found to carry this genetic variation, there is a very high risk that any early established pregnancy may miscarry. There is also a potential risk for the early implanting embryo to fail. The test is available for all patients going through IVF. Both male and females partners are tested. It is an important test for patients who have had recurrent miscarriage or failed implantation. Research has also shown that 22% of patients going through IVF carry this genetic variation. This test is available exclusively at CARE Fertility in the UK.
