We're not sure if/when we'll be cycling, but looking forward to stalking/catching up with everyone!! Sort of missed the whole gang!!!!
If everyone else is reading, are all the other ladies that have escaped round the world joining in too??? We could be the most cosmopolitan thread going!!!!

Hello to everyone!!!!
Page & Joanne - Bet you're both excited to be starting soon?? I definitely get that way after the decision has been made!! got it all crossed for you both!!
Alley - Hi chick, I've obviously not scoured enough, what is happening with you at the mo?? do you have plans??
Bron - Can't believe that Violet is due to put in an appearance any day!! looking forward to hearing she's here!! are you okay or does it get to be quite hard work at the end????
Mr Hobbit and I are just chilling out for a while until we have our review on 5 Aug (got to wait for test results to see if my chromosomes were at fault!!), which will give me some time to get fit again and into some semblance of order!!!! He said something today though which brought it home yet again about how hard it must be for him too............he said (when we were walking round the shop) that right now he's sick of having his hopes ripped away all the time!!! I guess I am too but to give up and not have anything to focus on scares me more!!! I've just moved down to Northwood to live with my husband again (thank god we've been commuting weekly for 12 months which also doesn't help matters!!) so I'm secretly inquiring about funding down here at least for maybe the PGD side of things if not the cycle!!! I read today that Manchester only take into account whether the Woman has had previous children or not and not the DH!!!!!! if that's the case here we may be in with a chance!! anyone know much about NHS funding???
Anyway, I've waffled enough, hope everyone's great, speak soon
LOL

Morning! Just swinging past to say morning to the sosc's!
Steph - No sign of Violet making her appearance any time soon, but what do I know!your post about Mr Hobbit just made me cry like a baby so at least I know the hormones still working. It must be so hard for you honey and whilst I can't give you any tips on funding (I was to old at 36 to be considered in our area) I'll keep all crossed that the new area can do for you.
Page & Joanne - good luck with your treatments/cycle. It's exciting to be starting again. I'll try and check in on you as you go through it all. The SOSC group really kept me sane last summer.
Alley - hope you're well.
Well we're off to cinema to see early showing of sex and the city. I went with dh last weekend to see Indiana Jones so he is - reluctantly - returning the favour! I have to say it seems a shame to be indoors when it's such nice weather but weather we can enjoy once baby puts in an appearance, cinema we can't!
Steph you asked if it gets hard at end. Without moaning it does yes! Its similiar to 2ww because you're symptom checking and over analysing every twinge. I'm full of the 'fear' in terms of baby being born well, disabled, with enough oxygen etc, not to mention all the stories recently about death in child birth (happy aren't I!) but I think that is all natural and I feel terrible even typing this on a CB thread! Anyway I'm a natural worrier so worrying is what I do!!
Anyway, I'll be checking in to see how you all go and Page and Joanne I can't wish you enough luck.
Bron

Yay, the SOSC is back in business!!! Re-cycling!!!!
Bron - can't believe you're about at your due date. Hope Violet arrives safely & with no complications!
Steph - I've not been posting much over the last few months as nothing has been happening in terms of IVF.
I did briefly join the Bunny Mummies but didn't go ahead as I changed my job & wanted to settle in before starting tx. That plan backfired as the job was so stressful I only managed a month before handing my notice in!
Am temping at the mo before starting yet another job but am now focussing on getting into some sort of shape (hmmm, pringle shaped at the moment as I love the Prawn Cocktail ones!).
Joanne - welcome! The SOSC was the first group I ever really joined & the support is amazing!
Am going to switch my laptop off now as the keys keep sticking. I have to bash the keys so hard, my fingers hurt. Think I'll spend the afternoon dismantling & cleaning it. Guess it would help if DH didn't drip his coffee on it (at least I hope it was coffee )
back later

Hiya Chelly,
I'm also on immune protocol & admit to a head in the sand attitude about the IVIG. I'd try anything if I thought it gave me a chance of seeing those two lines come up......
Looking forward to chatting again this summer!
Take care hun

Hi SOSC!!!
Page - great stuff setting up a new SOSC thread, I will check in on you all. Hope you have a FAB birthday hunny, you know what they say ... life begins at ... so hopefully thats a sign that your new life as a mummy will start this year xx
Joanne - you will do well being a SOSC buddy, the ladies are all terrific and such a huge support. Hope things go well for you on this next cycle xx
Steph - hi hunny, hope all goes well at your review and you get some positive answers for your next cycle. It must help now you and Dh are now back in the same place as that will take some of the every day stress out of your lives which can only be a good thing xx
Bron - oh wow, hope you enjoyed sex and the city? I never watched it at the time but Paramount Comedy channel has just finished re-showing the last series. I sky plussed the whole lot and over the last couple of months have watched all 6 series (usually whilst feeding the twins as thats the only time i get to sit down!) and on Saturday night i settled down to watch the last 2 episodes of series 6, the first one is where Carrie goes to Paris with Alexander Petrovsky and finishes with Miranda telling Big to 'go get her' ... so i eagerly jumped to the next and final episode and IT WONT BLOODY PLAY!!!! So I am now on the lookout to buy the 6th series on dvd as i just HAVE to know what happened so I can go and watch the film. I am a seriously converted fan and cant wait to see the film Any sign of Violet yet???
Alley - sorry to hear about your job but more stress is NOT what you need. Hmmmm dont speak to me about getting in shape ... I am now thinking that i really MUST start something soon ... even if its just limiting the number of choccie biscuits I consume!!! Good luck with finding another job soon xx
Chelly - hows sunny Madrid babe?? Glad you are feeling a bit more positive now and i will keep everything crossed for you on this next cycle xx
Heres hoping that this turns out to be a lucky lucky thread with a full count of BFP's to come.
Look forward to chatting again ladies.
Kelli

Hi Ladies
Well the Sun has def arrived in Madrid following a really rainy month, so today Dh have been relaxing by the pool reading and watching the kids play I tell you this really is chicken soup for my soul, I feel that this place is gonna heal me, and that I will get my baby,
I am practicing visualing my little one every day and all the things we will do together, it does make me feel more optimisitc and that can only be a good thing,,,,I think the power of the mind is a very strong contributing factor....
Ps have just read a book called 'The Secret'is also out on DVD and it is very imspiring for positive thinking, i'm giving it a go..
started with emailing Nic at Notts to ask if it was possible before we embark on another fresh cycle that we may be able to use our forsties with all the drugs appart from IVIg and waited to hear..
the outcome I wanted arrived a few days later with the full support of George, so I am very very happy with this and can't wait to get started, hopefully will have them put back beg of august....hurray power of the mind this is what i wanted to happen and now it is....think its working...
PMA PMA all the way
Love to all

Hello All
Thank you all for my birthday wishes! And yes the hangover was huge!
Had lots of lovely presents and a really posh meal out with DH. We had wanted to go abroad somewhere but with the treatment so close we decided to wait. Had a lovely family party this weekend which also ended with a sore head. Got to cram it all in though before this Thursday!
I am ordering my drugs today but dreading them arriving as I have so many to take this cycle. It's bad enough when it's a straight IVF. PMA PMA!
Great news Chelly! Hopefully you can relax now and look forward to your cycle in August.
I have been up since 2AM as my mind is whirling probably because I have lots to do this week! Hope you all have a lovely week. Catch you all later!

Hi Girls
I would love to rejoin my old buddies once again if that's okay- been meaning to post on this thread for over a week but work is phenomenally (sp??) busy with the exams etc. Worked all weekend too- but thats another story...
Great to see so many of the gang posting and also the lovely messsages from the SOSC success stories like Kelli, Bron and Anne. Here's hoping that we all become success stories and all get our BFPs this year
Just to update you on where Im upto in terms of treatment- after our 2nd BFN at Liverpool in early Feb, we decided to go for immune testing and opted for George in Notts. We actually have a 2nd free NHS attempt at the womens hospital but we were very dissatisfied with the quality of care there (success rate is 24% too ) and so that free cycle is on hold until we get the resuts of the chicagos. We decided it was pointless pumping me with drugs for another round of IVF if there is an underlying immune issue preventing me from getting the elusive BFP.
We have now had the chicago tests done and have a review with george in 2wks. I am also going to proscan in notts on Friday to have the pelvic blood flow assessment done so george will be able to consider thise results too when planning my next treatment. I am hoping to start staright after my review as AF is due the next day so Im hoping we can start down-regging a few weeks later. Being a teacher, its really important that I try to coincide th treatment with the school hols- especially with travelling to notts for treatment (its a 5-hr round trip but I figured that George was worth it!!).
What cycle day does CARE start you down regging? i know it varies- it was always cd23 in Liverpool. Also, how long do they leave you before the baseline scan? Im hoping that DR wont take more than 2 weeks (AF has always arrived promptly on my last 2 IVFs) so I can get stimming early Aug.
Looks like there are a few of us immunies on here- I too am pooing myself at the thought of some of the immune therapies- particularly Ivig. Hopefully I wont need it but ive got a sneaky suspicion... I have rubbish circulation too so Im expecting a low score on Fridays blood flow assessment (at least that will be easily treated with asprin and viagra though). Havent quite wored out how we'll pay for all this treatment but hey-ho Im sure we'll manage! Like you girls, I'll do whatever it takes- Im determined that it will be 3rd time lucky for us (especially since 4 of my close friends are expecting at the mo...).
Really looking forwards to chatting to everyone and offering support if I can over the coming weeks and months.
Lots of love Tina xxx |

Hi again girls,
So cool to have so many of you back here on this thread, can't tell you how much this means to me to be in contact with you lot being so far away from the UK and stuff... there's no comparable BB in NZ at all, and in any case I much prefer to 'get on me bike' again with you lovely ladies as company! xx
Joanne - hi, I haven't spoken to you before - really sorry about your 1st cycle, that must have been devastating your eggs not fertilizing after all the drugs and going through EC and the rollercoaster of emotions. Keeping fingers crossed that ICSI works better for you - we had ICSI on our second cycle and had a really good fertilization rate with it (DP's had a very low sperm count so no other option on the day), so we'll be doing ICSI again with this third cycle. You'll be starting down-regs 2 days prior to me (I start on the 19th June) so we'll almost be cycle-twins!
Bron - hi, great to hear from you again - have you had your baby yet? Your ticker reads you're due basically now.. what's your news?
Alley - brilliant to have you back here, I really appreciated your great sense of humour during my last cycle, you had me in stitches a few times... Keeping fingers crossed that the immune drugs do the trick for you - you deserve to see those 2 blue lines!
Chelly - great that you have a tentative start date now hun, August is not so far away! How are you going to juggle the Madrid / UK thing, will be going back for the lenght of the entire treatment?
Page - I think you'll be starting down-regs tomorrow, is that right? You must be getting excited! i'm a bit disappointed that my AF made me wait for so long so that I'm now a whole week behind you... would have loved to be cycle twins with you!
Annie john - huge congratulations to your little one, first time lucky, that's a fantastic result!
Tina - I'm on my 3rd round as well - 3rd time lucky for both of us, ey? Try not to worry about the IVIG too much, I had it with my last cycle as I had 'borderline' immune issues according to my clinic, the worst thing about it was that it was boring to sit there for 4 hours while it was dripping away, but apart from feeling a bit tired afterwards I had no problems at all.
Kelli - thanks for your post on the GF, it's really fantastic to hear from you again, you were an inspiration during the last cycle!
Gotta dash and do a bit of work now - have a great day everyone - it's two in the afternoon here and 1 in the morning in the UK so I don't expect any of you are awake right now!!!
lol
