hi am rachel, having icsi at care sheffield, started down regulation on 1/9/08, took bit longer to respond but finally started menopur this week, so moving on at last! anyone else similar dates to me? Very Happy

Hi Rachel
i'm having ICSI too at Sheffield, I'm having the same problem with down regulation, been on it for 2 weeks bt been to Care this morning for a scan and bloods and i'm about to ovulate. So had my hcg shot to bring a bleed on so I'm going to be delayed for about 2 weeks. I'm glad i'm not the only one who is taking longer to respond.

Chick, Lucy,Purple - how are you all? I'm full of cold and got to work in the club tonight - feel abit mardy so hope no-one gives me any grief as they might just get a pint over their head!!
Can't believe this down reg situation - the funniest thing is i've always been told that i don't ovulate!!

Anyway catch up with you in abit!

ClareBear- it is all so confusing and annoying too! will you just carry on your suprecur a bit longer? i ended up a double dose for another week but that did the trick, i never ovulate so find it hard to believe that my system needs much 'shuting off' when it does not seem to work anyway!! hope it all goes ok for you. Smile

Thanks Rachel - i've had one of trigger shots tonight, apparently that should make me have a bleed - got to carry on with suprecur and ring them when period arrives - hopefully i should be switched off then. Similar happened to me last year on my first cycle was on suprecur for 5 weeks!!

Is this your first attempt? When are you next back for a scan?

How are you? looks like I've missed a lot so here goes....

Hey ClareB - sorry to hear about the additional shot/bleed that you have to have, oh well - looks like we'll all be delayed together! - how you feeling otherwise? *hugs* Any plans for the w/e?
Clare07 - how are you? the dog is settling in nicely thanks Smile

she sits under my desk while I work and I've been able to get her a chewy ball which she loves so its fantastic Smile

The walks are also doing me some good (I hope!)
Chucy - I know another week isnt much, just going to chill out and take it how it goes really Smile

Any plans for your week off?
Aalish - hows things?
Rachel - welcome to the thread, the more the merrier, you are a few weeks ahead of us - I start my down/reg injections one week today, and then 2 ish weeks later the stimming ones.... how you finding things?
Chicka - isnt accupunture great? I have it twice a week now, plus he's added some heat therapy - which has been great for my cold feet Smile

they dont seem to be so cold no more Smile

do you just get needles in your stomach/legs/feet? would love to hear about it (if you dont mind) Smile

OK! As for me - 7 days until down regs - found the pescription *yay* just have to get to the pharmacy - there are only 2 within a 60 min drive of where I live which store the drugs we need... but I keep telling myself its a good way to de-stress... go on a nice drive lol Smile

BCP effects seem to have quietened down - not as much headaches as last time which I"m taking as a good sign Smile

yes this is my first cycle, never had any previous fertility treatments so all very new to me. been on the suprecur 4 weeks now, the menopur(stimulating) due my 7th dose tonight then having scan and bloods tomorrow. took 3 weeks of suprecur to work,including a week on a double dose, was worrying at the time as they thought i could have a cyst producing oestrogen and cancelling effects of the suprecur - and i had an undiagnosed 11cm cyst in april that was found on scan when i was in agony which had to be removed along with a tube which has delayed us starting, but no cysts on my scan and my oestrogen levels dropped last week which was good news Very Happy

. i am having hypnotherapy which i am finding great and has made me so much more positive, i would really recommend it. wish you all well with your cycles rachel Very Happy

Hi rachell the hypnotherapy sounds interesting, I'm having acupunture this time round which i am finding very good.
Good luck with your scan tomorrow, let us know how you get on! at least i haven't got to go for the next week or so. I've been full of cold this weekend tempted to ring in sick tomorrow!!
Rachel do you live far from Care - how are you finding the trips in in the morning?

Hi Rachel - I will be a little bit ahead of you - we had a BFN with our first ICSI cycle at Sheffield during June/July and started taking tablets a couple of weeks ago in preparation for a frozen transfer cycle (we have 2 frosties) - I have a scan tomorrow and am hoping for the transfer to be done on Wednesday. How are you finding things so far?

Chick - hope you have a fab holiday (I'm not jealous honest Wink

)

Tracie - not sure when you are back - hope you have had a great time

Clare - I really want a puppy - I think maybe lack of having a baby does it to you - but it would be really unfair on a dog with our working hours - but do love boxer puppies

Purple - hope you have managed to pick up your prescription over the weekend - 60 miles is a really long way!!

Claire/Aalish - hope you are both ok

Lucy - you would love the little girl boxers we have. They are only 5 weeks old and already have their own little personalities. The smallest of the 3 (Molly) loves to be rocked in your arms, i will try and upload a picture on to here. There are some on facebook if you use it??

Clare - posted on other thread re our delay - looks like it is happening to everyone at the moment - hope you are now feeling ok about your delay XX

For everyone else my lining is not as thick as it needs to be yet so not going back till next Monday and got to up tablets from 3 to 4 a day - going to rearrange my hols to next week now (thats the bummer bit!)

Do use facebook a little - just to spy on potential new recruits and a troublesome staff member who was off with stress but going out all the time - some people are very naive! Will def have a look at the puppies - and if I show DH maybe he will change his mind Wink

Lucy - i'm sorry you have been delayed too - its so frustrating, but we need to take it inour stride. My profile name on face bookis Clare Harris - my picture has me with a silly grin and you can just see the top of a red dress - it was taken at my sisters wedding so think i was drunk!!

Rachel - how did your scan go?

Had my scan today, 10 follicles between both sides, one at 21, rest between 6-16, keeping me on same dose of drugs and back Wednesday, all being well egg collection could be on Friday, looking forward to last few injections as legs getting a bit sore now!
ClareBear- hope you are feeling a bit better with your cold? and think its very brave having yet more needles with accupuncture! I live in Harrogate so takes me about an hour and a half door to door, mostly on M1 so not too bad, Leeds would be nearer but heard good things about Care and at least you can park once there which is difficult at Leeds. And nice to stop at Meadowhall on way hope, would be rude to pass and not go in, not that my husband agrees!
Chucy- good luck with your transfer, got my fingers crossed for you.
Might be a silly question but what does DH and BFN stand for?

Wow - not long now rachel - you do have a long journey but like you say you can at meadowhall and spend spend spend!!

DH - dear hubby
BFN is Big Fat Negative (as opposed to BFP - big fat positive which is what we all want.)

As for me, took my last BCP last night - as I've run out, so no other choice, HAVE to go to the chemist today for some more - and will pick up my buserlin whilst i'm there too... start injections friday (i think!), shoot that reminds me - might need some needles too.... oh crumbs Smile

Clare- thanks for explaination!!!
had scan today, got follicles at 26, 19 and 16 but said they like to have 3 at 17 or more to do EC so re scan Friday, staying on same dose and got lots at 11-16 which should catch up, so looks like Monday now for EC. Hubby has been on the wagon for last month and looking longingly at the beers on chill that he had hoped for on Friday but will just have to wait few more days now! just started to stop missing my wine, all for a good cause i hope Very Happy

Hi All,

OK - so got to the pharmacy and got my BCP AND my buserilin.... been advised to do it in my stomach at the same time every day... so a little different from last time - but hey ho Smile

So! count down has started, will begin this friday and told that EC/ET will occur w/c 26th Oct (if all goes to plan!)

Rachel - sounds like you have a lot of follies Smile

hope your EC goes well (if I miss talking to you!)
Clare - hows things?
Chucy - how r u? were you able to re-arrange the hols?

Purple - when do you start injecting then?
as for me just plodding on with the buserelin - really starting to feel i now - very moody and tired. I tokk hubby to see he puppies tonight was hoping he might change his mind and let me have one. Fat Chance!! I've just fell in love with them, gave them lots of cuddles.
Really p***ed off with him - its his night off and he's fast asleep!

Hi everyone - sorry but when I am at work I seem to disappear off the BB planet - have finished again for my weeks holiday today - yippee!! Have scan again on Monday so once agin hoping for FET on Weds - but I guess we will see if the 4 HRT tablets have worked Smile

Tummy has been feeling a little kinda heavy so hopefully lining will be thick enough.

Clare - hope you are doing ok with your injections.

Purple was it your first today? Hope it has gone ok

Tracie - are you back from hols yet?

Rachel - how did you get on with your scan today - are you having EC on Monday?

Hey ladies, I'm back!

Got in a couple of hours ago and have already done the washing!
Had a fab time although it was just too hot... over 100 degrees every day...needless to say I was in the shade or the sea snorkling the majority of the time.

Started my buserelin on the first day of hols and they have been ok so far, no hot flushes, mind you I was baking hot anyway so maybe I couldn't tell the difference Laughing

How lucky am I? My AF arrived just as I got home - result, thought I might get it whilst away as it came early last time.

So how have you all been?

What are your facebook ID's, would love to see these pups?

I've been delayed on down regging due to my system not shutting down , i had to have my trigger shot to bring on another AF but i'm still waiting.....
