Hi Skate, I'm trying to act as normal but without lifting anything too heavy or doing anything too stenuous. I'm so so tired though so chance would be a fine thing!
Ellie, I didn't realise you're doing this on your own. What a fantastic thing you're doing and so brave - girl power xxx
don't worry about your scan being a bit later than others, from what I can gather different centres offer different date ranges. I'm at Manchester and they do 6 week ones routinely. I'm looking forward to mine but dreading it at the same time! Just want to know that all is ok - as we all do! Only 4 more sleeps until ours, feels like 4 years ha ha x |

Morning ladies
EH - Gathered most other centres do 6 weeks - it's just Notts seem inconsistent in that some people are getting 7 week scans.. 4 more sleeps... how exciting.. can't wait to hear your news.
Yes i am going it alone.. not an decision easily reached but have a great support network and am in a good financial position so being nearly 40 and recently diagnosed with mild endo I thought better sooner than later..
JB - scan is on the 26th Feb .. ages yet!!
Lizzy.. feeling sick - that's not good.. I did look up when the dreaded morning sickness might occur and read its anytime really but common after 6/8 weeks.. touch wood I havent had that yet altho they say it's a good sign if you do get it.. stronger hormone levels and less chance of mc
BB/Jo.. how are you doing hun?
Kate - I havent really stopped doing anything since ET.. continuing as usual.. lifting stuff but avoiding really heavy stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well

Morning ladies,
How's everyone feeling? Not been on over the weekend as it was my birthday Saturday and we'd held of celebrating our Wedding anniversary till we knew the outcome so this weekend has been a bit hectic.
Ellie I'm sure that you can understand Cares policy for scanning people like myself earlier I fervently wish i wasn't having to be counted in this category but grateful that Care are so empathetic to the situation i have been through. I'm sorry you're not getting your scan earlier hope that the next few wks fly by for you though!! Its so hard with all the waiting that we're put through hoping its gentle on you though xx
EH wow it's not long now till your scan bet you're so excited, can't wait to hear how you get on and see the pics xx
Lizzy how are you feeling still suffering with sickness? Hope its not too bad but all good too iykwim.xx
Bissybat how's things with you?xx
Skate how're you feeling is it sinking in a bit more now? xx
Kim how're you feeling? xx
AFM i'm ok going to the loo alot and wow my boobs are sore but i'm so happy its all worth it. My dh hasn't stopped grinning yet must say it was very emotional when we went to visit our girls though this weekend i bawled my eyes out thanking them for keeping me and flump safe now hoping to have the most uneventful 8mths ahead!! Now i'm contemplating whether to tell the girl i work with as she knows my previous experience and I kind of want her to know but not also iykwim arghh don't quite know what to do.
Well first day back at work today so best get some done really, hope everyone is well.
Love Wen xx |

Hi Wen
Totally understand the need to scan people with probs earlier but there are also quite a few people without pre existing probs that are being scanned early.. that's what I meant..I was trying to highlight the inconsistency.. sorry if my remarks came across as insensitive, I didn't mean it that way.

Hi Girls
Welcome Kate!!
Went to my parents for the weekend which was nice and relaxing, ate far toooooo much now my trousers are too tight! So always unbuttoning top button in case I'm squashing poor embie! Did another test to check I hadn't done any damage with my huge stamp at the cat! Which was fortunately positive still.
Still feeling very tired and on off queasy, boobs getting more and more tender which is not nice but good.
Ellie I know how you feel re scan, I don't feel I can celebrate yet until the scan says all in right place etc, so the additional week seems like forever, trust my consultant to go aholidaying! Talking about sleep = also need to wee in night but am so lazy I lie there semi conscious trying to psyche myself into getting up, then the alarm goes at 6:10 to put in the darned pessary . So all in all sleep feels like a commodity, hoping that when it goes to once a day I can avoid the early alarm!
Back at work and toying with when to tell them as scales weigh about 20kg and they are very cumbersome. So not toooooo keen to be lugging them around too much! Also will make them realise why I'm being such a space cadet!
Hope you're all having a good monday. EH - can't wait to hear your scan results!

Hi
Congratulations JoJo enjoy the cloud 9 floating really pleased for you hun!!! xx
Ellie no worries hun i know how annoying the waiting is, wishing for speedy passing weeks so can start to enjoy the journey. Just keep picturing those little embies all snuggled xx
Jo I'd tell them if you're expected to carry heavy stuff round or at least a couple of people so that there's someone who can carry anything heavy. As for the space cadet feeling that just keeps going throughout hun xx

Hiya Everyone!!!!!
Just thought i'd pop on quickly before my next job....wow, loads of posts!!!!! Well just finished my first job and am shattered already and i've got another one to go yet!!!!! Well i was asked by two people today when my baby is due......awkward!!!!! I am so swollen from the pessaries that i don't blame people for asking it is hard to conceal, but now i'm like, argh what do i say? I don't want to say i'm not pregnant because that's a lie and i'm worried i may jinx it but i don't want people knowing yet because it is WAY too soon and worried i may jinx it this way too - wish i wasn't so damm supersticious!!!!!
Everyone has their scans before me so far so so far i'm going to be the last one to find out if everything's ok!!!!!
Ellie - I'm in West Bridgford, what about you? We should meet up some time for a coffee!!!!!

Hiya
Congratulations JoJo, that's wonderful news!
Ellie I'm in Leicester but if you decide to arrange a gathering I will try and come up, would be lovely to meet everyone.
Early days, but I would really recommend everyone to sign up to NCT classes in your area once all confirmed etc, it is expensive but the main aim is to meet mums in your area giving birth at the same time. Our group was brilliant and still meet up for support and cake! We made a plan to religiously meet up every tuesday. Well worth the money!
Kate, just tell them you've got IBS or a wheat intolerance, that'll shut them up and you don't have to tell any lies re babies!
Hope you're all having a great monday, I soooooooo don't want to do any work now!
Take care
Speak soon

Hi all, I'm just on pessary duty so thought I'd log on and see how everyone is doing. Welcome to JoJo c
Bissybat it sounds like you've had a great weekend!
Wenna I hope your first day back at work went well?
I'm shattered still, I just seem to become incredibly tired from 11am and it gets worse as the day progresses. I must make sure all my meetings at work are in the mornings from now on
I'm still lightheaded at times too and (.)(.) are sore, but that comes and goes.
Ellie and Lizzy - how was your day?
Skate, don't worry about telling a White lie about being pregnant if you don't want people to know yet. It's for the right reason!
Have a lovely evening all xxx |

Hello Ladies
Welcome Pinky.. which Care are you at.. add yourself to the list hun.. you are scanning the same day as me..
EH - Ok day just shattered as seems to be the case now.. Getting excited about Thurs?
Kate.. always up for a coffee.. decaf of course.. I live in Derby but we should get a meet up in Notts sorted then Jo and anyone else can come.. maybe after our scans ? I look pregnant but i do have bad IBS so people are used to me looking like this.. I was asked last year if I was pregnant.. the bloating gets so bad!
BB - I have just registered for NCT, the course is 207 but as I gave up my high paid job in TV to temp (so I could get through IVF) I get working tax credits and therefore only have to pay 10% of the course costs.. bloody brilliant!!!
I've registered for a midwife appt too on the 1st march - the monday following my scan.. and ordered A Rough Guide to Pregnancy off Amazon which all my friends recommend.. Now looking into Doulas to support my friend as birth partner.. just hope I'm not getting too ahead of myself!!
How you doing JoJo and Kim?
Big hugs girls

Gosh I need to give up work to keep up with three threads, been reading and updating for last 2 hours.
Firstly I’ve updated the list:-
Everhopeful (MANCH)- ET 15th Jan, OTD 28th Jan BFP, 6WS 11th Feb
Ellielou (NOTTS) - ET 16th Jan, OTD 31st Jan BFP , 8WS 26th Feb
Bissybat (LEICS) - OTD 31st Jan BFP, 8WS 22nd Feb
lizzy (MANCH)- ET 18th Jan, OTD 2nd Feb BFP, 6WS 16th Feb
Wenna (NOTTS) - OTD 5th Feb, 7WS 25th Feb
sKate (NOTTS) - ET 21st Jan, OTD 5th Feb BFP, 7WS 1st March
kimjane (MF- BHAM) - ET 29th Jan, OTD 8th Feb BFP 6WS 24th feb
JoJo (MANCH) - ET 23rd Jan, OTD 8th Feb BFP 6WS 23rd Feb
Loads of things to check out, not sure if I dare yet until I have 6 wk scan. Ellielou – sorry I’ll be beating you to it.
Kate – I’m with you on the ‘gut’, just going to have to let it go. My suits are getting a tad tight already and I def need to get re-measured for a bra. Hope you’re not too tired after work. I’m fortunate that I can sit down on my bum all day.
Might check out NCT as I know someone who swears by it although my neighbour and best friend have recently had babies.
Glad you girls are doing well, so glad to be here with you.

Just a quickie girls, is anyone else seriously swollen from these pessaries? Does anyone feel like their musicles are sore, as if they've been doing 100s of sit ups? I can only eat a little bit then i'm so full it hurts and i have to stop. Been like this ever since started on the pessaries so presuming it's these and I know these are all symptoms of the pessaries but just wanted to see if anyone else was having these symptoms!!!!!
Hope you're all ok and had a good evening.
Ellie lou, it's a date, we'll get our scans out the way then we'll arrange a decaf meeting!!!!! Nah you're not getting ahead of yourself, i've been reading 'The Pregnancy Bible' since the day after O.T.D. and it's SOOOOOOOOOOO fascinating (if a little scary!!)
BIG Hugs to you ALL, Speak Soon,
Kate.xXxXx. |

Kate
So felt like I had been doing sit ups.. it eases off .. now feels like the occassional groin strain.. if I move too quickly or stretch to far I get a fairly nasty pain like I have pulled something.. Unfortunately my stomach doesnt look klike I've been doing crunches.. more like I have swallowed a beach ball.
So ladies poss meet up for coffee in Notts mid march.. weekend prob best if anyone fancies it.
Liking our list ladies getting bigger which is what we want

Morning ladies,
Pinky congratulations on coming across, now to start the wait that can be more frustrating than the 2ww!?
Kate yup i know how you feel with the bloated feeling i've got a podge already and have resorted toa jumper dress and leggings today to try and cover it
JoJo how're you doing you made me laugh about just letting it go i couldn't agree more decided i'm gonna let it go n try and find some looser clothing instead of trying to squeeze into my usual work stuff.
Ellie like the sounds of all meeting up that'd be a gr8 idea to put faces to names!! Whereabouts in Derby are you, i live in Derby to?
EH your symptoms sound like mine if i get up slightly quicker than usual i feel like i've drunk 10 pints i go all wobbly. But then its normal for me too as i have low blood pressure which makes me woozy.
AFM 2nd day at work and always strikes me as ironic that it always feels like you've never been away but boy do i miss my sofa & snoozing when i got sleepy Somehow don't think i'd get away with a snooze on my desk around 2pm Hope everyone's having a good day so far.

Hiya Girls
Ellie you make me giggle, you are one formidably well organised lady! I currently am feeling very ineffective and useless, but just don't care! Very bad
NCT was defo good for having a group of girls at the same place for support and advice, not to mention the tea and cake!! Didn't find the actual info that great, mainly telling you not to have epidurals, but those that did said that they were a godsend, so who knows!
Lizzy girl you okay?
Welcome Pinky!
Definitely up for a coffee (decaf) meet - will need loads of directions as first trip to Notts was to Care!
Nodding along to all the symptoms, bulging tummy, extremely tired, waves of lightheadedness, although very hungry all the time (not sure if its belly or frosty weather!). Even found myself checking out a gap between a row of desks during monday meeting, thinking I could easily disappear in there for a out of sight snooze, but knowing my luck would start snoring!
Hope you're having a great tuesday!!
