Hi Claire,

I am so so thrilled to hear your wonderful news. I'm not sure if you remember me but we had our little girl 18 months ago with all immune drugs, donor egg and donor sperm. Three and a half weeks ago our natural miracle arrived, a little boy 7lbs 14oz, I had the immune drugs as soon as I discovered I was pregnant and all went fine. Once you have had a baby I think something must switch on in our bodies!
Wishing you a smooth and happy pregnancy.
To all the other ladies trying for number two please please stay positive, hopefully our two miracle natural pregnancies will show that it can happen even when you think it never will.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you have all enjoyed Daddy Day with the men in your life and your little one/s!

Vip:- How terrible about the intralipids, complete negligence! Im quite sure it wont happen again! Have you got your protocol through, are you starting this Friday!!

Clare28:- Thanks so much for sharing your story! We must have had our immunie babies around the same time then? Nov 08? To know that another immune lady got a nat miracle and all went fine really does help to ease my mind! Congratulations to you! and really, thanks for the encouragement xx

Im doing fine, getting really quite swollen at night...bit like the OHSS I had with Joseph...yet ive had no stimming drugs??! I think I must react like this. I have quite a lot of moments of queasiness, more than I did with J. Im due my follow up scan at the EPU 1 week tomorrow, but im due to speak with them tomorrow and im going to ask if it can be done Friday. I dont fancy another weekend of waiting to know if there is def a healthy baby in there!

Hope you are all well xx

Love

Claire G x

Hi Briony,

Thank you! I'm excited but a bit nervous of getting another negative, but hey ho - no chance of me getting pregnant without IVF so it's a chance that we're more than grateful for. Hopefully I'll be able to have 3 put back now too so it will give us a better chance.

Hope you are better after your op...hope you are resting and taking things easy.

Yes, Lexi has an apt with G early Aug and is looking at treatment Sept ish. BTW, did you know that 'Layla' is also pg, due around same time as Maimie Very Happy Very Happy . If this doesn't work I'm sure I will be cycling again around that time too, fresh or frozen!

Not long now until Claire posts her wonderful news, will have a look this evening. Come on beanie/s! x

Hi Vip,

Like you its the treatment-way or no-way, so as you say at least its an opportunity (gawd, dragging that silver lining out aren't we???). I had no idea about Layla, or if I did I had completely forgotten, how wonderful! I don't think she posts much now does she, if you're in touch pass on my congratulations!

We'll be looking September-ish I think, providing everything settles down ok after this op and I get the all-clear to try again then. Can't even imagine it at the moment, just thinking of how bored poor Hattie will be driving up and down the M1.....

I feel strangely hopeful knowing that our little immunie group are doing so well - 3 down, 3 to go. I do think now we have 'proved' we can do it that its now just a question of normal IVF type numbers game, no? Gosh, fingers crossed for us all!

Hi there

Sorry for gatecrashing your thread but I just wanted to say to Vip, I've been thinking of you today on your start day and I'm keeping everything crossed that this is the one. Hope it all runs smoothly - but like I said, if you hit a few hurdles then it could even be a good sign!!! Your determination is an inspiration and most definitely deserves to be paid off with a lovely big fat positive this time. Happy jabbing and pill popping and please, please keep me posted. Will be here if you need to vent Smile Smile

Briony, I do hope you're recovering after your op. You've certainly had your fair share of ops and procedures so I really hope this is the last and you'll be back to normal and ready to go again soon. I would so love to see you get another fabulous BFP and a sibling for your lovely girl. Come on immunie mummies, I know you can do it again Smile Smile

Claire G, what marvellous news on your lovely little heartbeat today. I must admit I was welling up with tears reading your news. I am so thrilled for you. All that getting jiggy certainly paid off!!! Well done lady Smile Smile

Thinking of you all.

Lots of love from Maimie xxxx

Quick question ladies....clexane jabs, im struggling this time with them. I'm bruising more than ever and find when I pick up Joseph his legs catch my bruises...any tips? Steve does them for me in my tummy and I numb the area with bag of peas first. How can we reduce the brusing and make the jabs a bit easier?

Thanks

Oh that's a hard one Claire - numbing helps, I found if I picked up a bit of flab (you may not have any!), injected into it still holding the area then pulled the needle out and let go that helped a little. I take it you're not rubbing the area after, that doesn't help. Can you do them a bit more round the sides so J doesn't catch you? A friend got bad bruising from her zip on her jeans rubbing. You could ask the nurses if you have to use your tummy, they may be able to suggest somewhere else.

Loonies part II, love it! Very Happy Maybe we could be the Loonie-toos.....?

Love Briony

Hi Claire

Sorry to hear you're struggling with the clexane jabs. It does seem that one cycle they can be okay, next you can really struggle with them. I found this with gestone this time around - with DS, no problems at all, this time, major ouch, awful bruising. Boo!

I always hold onto the pinch of flab whilst jabbing clexane and carry on holding it (but loosen grip a little whilst injecting) until all the liquid is in. Don't rub afterwards because you get a worse bruise.

You have my sympathies - they can smart but they are so, so worth it Smile

P.S. Layla got pg on her 1st attempt for a sibling, same as me - we were both extremely fortunate. Hers was a fresh cycle. She took 8 goes for her DD, as I recall, so a real long hard slog. Her DS is due in August. George's magic medicine strikes again Smile

Lots of love, all

Hi Ladies,

I havent been on for a little while. Ive been so unwell, really groggy and sick feeling all day. Ive literally felt like ive been poisened! Hoping it's all a good sign though, but that said yesterday when I didnt feel as sick I went into panic that something wasnt right! Oh can never get the balance right! Bring on the 2nd trimester!

VIP:- How's things? Where you up to?? Being on a SP I bet your racing away?

Loonie Toos! I love that name Briony...should we start a new chat up?? Who fancies it?

Got my scan at Care tomorrow, I hate the anticipation of a scan. It really never gets any easier does it? Praying all is ok.

Hope your all well

Love

Just a quickie - waiting for J to wake from a mammoth daytime nap (something tells me he won't be having an early night tonight!!).

Claire, wishing you the very best of luck for your scan tomorrow. Let us know how you get on. Odd isn't it, how we never seem quite able to relax about our babies and seeing them on a scan is always a lovely reassurance. I am 32 weeks now and still worry sick about the twinkles arriving safely. Anyway, hope it goes well for you and will be looking out for your news. Sorry you're feeling grotty but yes, it is a good sign that your hormones are doing their job and baby G is surely progressing well.

Vip, thinking of you too Smile Smile

Hi girls,

I too think it would be a good idea to set up Loonie Toos so we can chat on there, I must say I feel at home here!

Sorry to hear you haven't been too good Claire, hope you get better soon. Am thinking of you today, remember that feeling only too well. I must say it's much worse than the dreaded 2ww! I'm sure everything will be fine and bubba growing nicely Very Happy .

Hi Maime Very Happy Thank you. Hope you are getting some nice quality time now that you've finished work. Bet you are busy pottering in the gardena aren't you. Put your feet up madam!!

Hi Briony, hope you are better. I am going to phone Layla this week, I will tell her that you are asking about her.

I have EC on Thurs. Got an email from the clinic yesterday shaying that they are going to fund this cycle - whoooooppppiiieeee! At least now we have back up money. Have been thinking about ICSI..... we didn't have good fert rates last time (only 5 out of 10 mature eggs, and 3 ok on day 2) Am going to ask if we would benefit....sperm count ok though. Really don't know anything about all this but I'm cra**ing myself we have that we will very little embies again. Anyhow, must go ... lunch break over x

Hiya ladies,

So where shall we set up the Loonie Toos? On the trying again forum? Probably more approiate than on the immune forum? And is anyone anygood at doing a front page thingy?

VIP:- Thursday!!!! Yeah!! How fast has that gone!! Oh ill be thinking of you all day! So pleased they have agreed to fund this cycle for you, was that due to the intralipids saga? Why not give ICSI a go, you never know. See what Dr P says?

Maimie:- 32 weeks, goodness me that has flown by...maybe not for you! How you feeling about it all, and bringing 2 new babas into the world! Will you be going back to work after mat leave? I bet you are counting every day down at the moment!

We had our Care scan today. We were 30 mins late but that meant we didnt have to wait around and we were straight in. The scan went straight to the baby and its heartbeat, and arms and legs and it was moving! Its measuring 8w 5d, im supposed to be 8w1d, but they said not to make anything of it at this stage. I def ovulated early, my gut feeling was right. I still still still cant believe this. How did we do this? After so many years, how? George saw us afterwards and a lengthy chat with us. He gave me a big hug and a kiss, bless him and he met Joseph for the first time. Bit sureal J meeting his 'maker'! but lovely all the same. George just makes the time for you doesnt he. Im having an intralipids on Friday, not looking forward to that at all but I guess it has to be done. Im still feeling very groggy and cant wait to be off the meds..01 Aug is my last day and then start to wean on the prednisolne on the 2nd. As we were leaving I told George that he had 'mended me' and I thanked him x We also got our due date 14.02.11...valentines baby!

Hope everyone is well

Love

Claire Gx

Oh Claire, congratulations on your valentines baby. I am having a little cry of joy for you, especially as you tell of your meeting with George. Yes, I am more than a little hormonal!!! But I do love a happy ending and I'm praying that the immunie drugs (as grotty as they may be) help to keep your little miracle safe. So, so pleased for you. The intralipids are fine, you'll be okay, honestly and just think of them snuggling up to your baby and keeping him/her safe Smile

Hi Vip - as you guessed, not as much resting going on as there should be! I am trying, honestly, I'm just not very good at putting my feet up!! Aaarrrgggh! Still, we do have lots of lovely veggies to show for it!! (not much use if I go into early labour though, eh?!!). Thinking of you every day and praying that EC on Thursday brings you a good fert rate that you so, so deserve. It's sounding good for your follies and lining. Let this be the one, fingers crossed. Big hug for O from J Smile

Hi Vip,

It only takes one remember! Know it must be disappointing, but you've still got a good chance. I think Claire only had 2 embies and now has Eliza, and there have been others I can think of too.

Fingers and toes crossed for you for your transfer tomorrow.
