hi,

bad news at scan today. It was awful. Just remember the nurse saying that it didnt look how it should at 8 weeks. It had stopped growing around 6 weeks. There didnt even look like there was anything there to me. Got to go back next friday to see how it looks but they didnt hold much hope, neither do i.

Marie, I am so sorry hun, but dont give up hope yet you are not bleeding, its not over yet!

Why dont you post a thread and see if this has happened to anyone else I bet there are loads of stories.

I feels so crap and empty. Cant believe this has happened, we were so confident this time. Ive looked on the awaiting scans thread and it has happened quite a lot. Not many positive stories tho. Really dont want to go through it all again next week. Have been having a bit of brown discharge the last few days so dont know if its coming away or not? Will just have to wait now.

Oh hun there is nothing I can say to make you feel better, it is so hard, but if you can draw a positive from this remember that you have proved one thing, you can get pregnant doing this, it does work!!! maybe something wasnt quite right this time but one of those embies will be the right one, dont give up, take care hun x

hello,

Just got out of hospital after spending 2 nights there. My gp refered me to the EPU on tuesday night and they ended up keeping me in. Had a scan on wednesday morning which confirmed an empty pregnancy sac. Started bleeding more heavy that afternoon and lots of clots too and worse pain. They eventually let me out last night and said to let naure take it course. Still dont feel too well but hopefully soon it will all be over.

hi,

Im feeling so uch better now thanks. I went to my local hospital last thusrday for a scan just to make sure everything had gone and it has so feel pleased that it hasnt dragged on for long.
Have a review on the 12th November so wil see where we go from there. Im going to see about getting the level 1 tests done first though to see if there is a problem to why the pregnancy isnt lasting. Then do it again early next year.
How are you? How is work going?

what you've had to go through. Level 1 tests is a good idea. Hope your dp is ok too. Im trying again nxt jan hopefully, you never know we might be cycling together. Mind you after Lewis' behaviour recently im not sure if i could cope with another like him, lol.

Emma- hows work going? Hope baby B's ok and your other lo.

Thanks, yes think its going to be better if we have the tests done first instead of throwing money away if its going to happen again. Ive been told my gp may be able to do a few of them so could save us some money! Dp is getting there too i think, it upset him more than i thought it would.
Glad you are going again. We could be doing it at same time!! Lewis is coming into the terrible 2's then is he? It gets worse!! Josh has a bit of an attitude lately, he starts secondary school next september, cant belive it.

Sorry ive not been on in ages, yes we went to dominican republic for 2 weeks and only got back on friday. It was lovely and nice to relax and do nothing! We only booked it the week before.
Emma, my review was supposed to be on the 12th but i changed it to the end of November. Think its the 29th? Cant wait to start it all again, i must be mad!! Are you getting used to being back at work now?
Hi Kitty, have you been yet for a review about going again? Is it jan your starting?
Got a massive pile of ironing to do now, going to watch x factor while doing it!

Hi Marie,

Glad you had a nice holiday. Bet you've got a lovely tan. Hope your review appointment goes well on Monday. Do you go to Nottingham? Thats where i am. I went for mine the other week and was told the unexplained infertility is probably due to my poor ovarian reserve so i went to Care yesterday for a AMH blood test to check my ovarian reserve as it is a more acurate test than fsh and i had the AFC scan aswell. The scan didn't show i had many follies, as i expected. I'm having my drugs increased for stimming next time to include menopur as before aswell as Gonal F to hopefully help me stimulate better. Hoping to start DR end of Dec on my next cycle. Will be strange to be doing it again, feeling abit nervous. I'm starting acupuncture on 6th Dec. Lewis is poorly at the moment with a chest infection, poor little boy.

Both of you at it now!! Looks like we could have 2 new babies next year, I feel a bit left out ha ha!!! Got my hands full here though, Brendan got a permanent cold and is teething really bad so sleep deprivation is upon me which with working full time again isnt good!! Roll on the xmas hols!!!

Anyone got snow? We have missed it so far thankfully, take care xx

Hi Emma,

Lewis is getting better thanks, just got a cough now and bunged up. Weve got snow, the roads near my house are treacherous but ok once on the main roads. More snow is forcast for tonight and tomorrow, oh joy! Our boiler packd up yesterday but got it going again, it stopd working again through the night, it drives me crazy! Always buggers up when its freezing! Bet youre shattered working ft and having a teething colded up baby. Ive had lots of bad nights recently too Sad

im gona drop lewis' daytime nap as it stops him sleeping at night! Hes still up now!

Sorry not been on for a while, busy at work and catching up after being off.
Went for reveiw on monday and as i expected we need the level 1 and 2 tests which are going to cost around Â£2000!!! But i would rather pay that and find out if there is anything wrong than keep having failed cycles and miscarrages. Then we can go again early next year! I cant wait.
Thats come around fast kitty, bet you cant wait to get going again either. Its nice your trying while lewis is young, i would have loved mine close together.
Hope hes starting to feel a bit better, its awful when there poorly and you cant do anything for them.
Hi Emma, you should join us next year!!! Ah poor brendan, hope hes a bit better now too. Bet your really feeling it with working full time. Wot be long now til christmas. I havent even started yet tho, got josh his main present and thats it. got loads to do.

Hi Marie - wow 2k, at least you'll know if there are any problems and will then know if you need any immune drugs whilst cycling. Are you going to have the tests in the New Year?

I received a phonecall earlier from George with my test results and it's bad news i'm afraid. My AFC was just 2 and my AMH was 0.07 both are really really low and i was told i would have no response or very low indeed and i won't be able to try ivf/icsi with my own eggs. My only option is to egg share or adoption. I'm devasted to say the least and was not expecting to be told this. I didn't respond well when i had Lewis and he is a miracle thats for sure. My AFC last time was 8 and i only had 4 follies then and produced 5 eggs, 2 mature enough for icsi, one of which is my gorgeous boy.
I need to get xmas out the way, go away and get my head round it and decide if i do want to use donor eggs but it's a big decison as Lewis is from my own eggs. I'm just so glad i did ivf when i did and have Lewis. I had to persuade DH back then that we needed ivf as he was happy to plod along and try naturally and if i had listened to him i would probably be childless. I'm only 33 so i'm not old and i started ttc at the age of 27 after my wedding day. Life sucks some times eh.

Oh kitty, im so sorry. I didnt expect to hear that either.
Is there no way at all then they can give you really high doages of menapour to get you just a couple of eggs? You only need 1 or 2.
Its such a big decision to make using donar eggs. If you didnt have any children i would do it straight away but you have lewis and its a harder desision isnt it. I always think to myself now that im lucky to have josh already so if i cant have any more im lucky to have him. But when you want something so bad it doesnt make it any easier. I couldnt imagine how i would feel to have no children at all.
I cant imagine how you are feeling now but i am thinking of you.

Kitty thats awful news I am so sorry, like you say you need some time to have a good think about things and make a decision that is right for you and your family. Have you considered fostering or adoption. I only mention it because my sisiter has started to foster and is unindated with babies to look after it is so sad.

Expensive tests Marie, but better to have peace of mind I suppose, good luck.

Happy new year to you both. Hope you had a lovely christmas.
I had a quiet one this year but it was really nice, but back to work today!
Ive had my level 1 tests done by my doctor a couple of weeks ago but had to have 2 of them re-done so been today. Got to wait around a week till i get the results back. Not sure if hes done them all or just a few? Im sure hes done them all though. GOing to have the level 2's done this month at care and then we can hopefully cycle again feb/march time.
Kitty, how are you? Have you thought any more what you will do next? Hope lewis had a lovely christmas, bet he knew more this year.
Emma, did you boys have a nice christmas?
