Thank you Briony.
Aww, look at Hattie - she's adorable!
As you can imagine, I'm terrified on something going wrong, but I'm 13wk+4 today & saying a prayer every day that I make it to the finishing post this time.
Skippy knows btw
Oh, and its twins! |

Hi Josie
Have been checking on this board from time to time to see if there was any news, and saw you had just posted and read your ticker!
I am so happy for you, its great news. Hope everything goes well over the next few months. I was 41 when I had Sophie and she was my 4th pregnancy, so hopefully its a good omen for you too.
Sophie is great, she just turned 3. I cannot believe where the time has gone.
Keep us updated!

Thanks Diane.
Its very encouraging to hear I'm the same age you were.
I've been feeling my age for sure - been feeling so tired & am pretty sick since I stopped
my steroids. Still, a small price to pay. I think my symptoms have been exaggerated by
it being twins...
I pop in here every month or so & always look out for you and Skippy & Briony, amongst others.
Sophie looks such a big girl! Eek.
Thanks for spotting me & your good wishes petal.

Hi Diane.
Thanks for asking, that's really sweet of you.
I'm ok, thanks. 29 weeks today. I will be getting my c/section date at my next hospital appt on 9 February (the c/s will be done in my 36th week). We are having a boy and a girl, so am feeling very lucky, though still very scared about assuming I will ever have my babies in my arms. We had to bite the bullet this month and buy stuff as my midwife was worrying I wouldn't have so much as a babygro when they arrive (have been too superstitious to buy anything ). At the last scan (27 weeks) they were 2 1/2 lbs each! I'm pretty uncomfortanble, being only 5ft & having a 46" waist now & having put on 3st already! It's not a pretty sight.
I hope you and DH are well? And Sophie?
Lots of love,
Jo

Hi Jo
Glad to see that you are doing so well, hope the next few weeks go smoothly and not too uncomfortably as you prepare for your little ones to arrive. I know just how you are feeling, its hard to believe it will ever happen.
We are all fine but have had a sad 12 months as both my mum and dad have passed away. I am so thankfull that they got to meet Sophie and I spent a lot of time with them as I didn't return to work.
Sophie starts school in September, not really sure where that time has gone.
Let me know how you are doing.
Take Care

Oh, Diane, I'm so sorry to hear that. Losing them both so close together must have been just terrible.
What happened (don't answer if that's too private)? I'm sure Sophie made such a difference to their last years. Big hugs pet.
I will try to remember to check in every couple of weeks to keep you posted.
Shazza - thank you. . I was meant to be on an "in-betweeny" protocol but I had a cyst from the start
so got switched to LP. I DRd with suprefact, then stimmed with Merional & Fostimon. I also had 5 days of Clomid as E2 was
on a go-slow. I was also on dexamethazone, clexane & baby aspirin. I had ivig the day after a day 3
ET (& another one or 2 after bfp). Good luck with your tmt! |

Hi Jo
No its not too private. My dad passed away after complications from a hip operation. It happened quite suddenly and was a big shock to us all. Then my mum died on New Years Day this year, she had been poorly and in and out of hospital for years but developed pneumonia just after Christmas and just couldn't fight it off.
Not sure how I would of gotten through it without Sophie, although she is getting a bit obsessed with people dying. - but she didn't seem to be too bothered about me or DH dying as she would live with Nana !!!
Hope your still doing ok, hope appt on 9th goes well. I guess your c section is the middle of March. Will be thinking of you then.
Take it easy - get lots of sleep if you can!!!
Love
Diane |

Diane
That is so rough on you and your family. It is hard having the anniversary on a "special day" - my Dad died suddenly on Boxing Day 1997 and it has coloured our Christmases since. However, the good thing is that is easier for us to be together as a family and it is now a much happier day, remembering him.
I can well imagine how much Sophie has helped you.
Well, my c/s is booked for 22/3/10. I just need them to hang on so I don't have any mad dashes up to Newcastle where we've decided to have them. At my scan last week, they were estimated at 3lb14 & 3lb12 so that's quite a comfort.
(I feel a bit naughty posting here and ruining the thread I set up for stats & reference! )
Jo

Hi Ladies
I thought I might revive this Poll to see if any other immune ladies might want to add their stories/stats to the Poll.
I've just had my ET and in typical 2ww fashion am trawling the forum looking for positive stories to boost my PMA!
