Hi girls,
Struggling to keep up myself after not looking on here for a few days!
Jabs have been fine, totally surprised myself but they really have been nothing to worry about, in a weird way a lookforward to each one as I know I'm that little step closer.
First scan tomorrow so hopefully there will be some little follies growing! I hope so!

I apologise for not responding individually, there is alot to catch up on.
Hope every one is ok tho.
Xx

Good luck with your scan. Did you have to down regulate first before you started stimming? I am starting down regging today as it is 21 days after my last AF.

Regards.

No, I'm on short protocol so started stimming on CD2.
I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
Keeping everything crossed. Xx

Hey ladies.....so many posts yesterday....its great!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my Gran, feeling a lot more positive this morning as I know she is looking after me and giving me the strength to make this cycle successful.

Sar....wow great news about your AF, IYKWIM!! That means you are approx a week behind me so we will be truly cycling together....yeah!! As I'm donor my timings can change a bit as all three ladies have to be at the same point at the same time so there is a chance things could get delayed a few days . I loved the story about your friend, I too believe in things like that. When we were sorting Gran's things out yesterday we found Grandad's death certificate and he died on the 29th July so 43 years ago today!! whilst I know there is a day difference - to me I think its kind of special as there are 356 days in a year and to only be one day off is pretty remarkable.

Hope you are feeling excited about things now? for me it still doesn't feel real but I've got my down reg scan next week (sorry cant be specific on days.....feel like Im on a secret mission!!) so Im hoping all is well there. On the basis that I've been diagnosed with early menopause Im not anticipating any problems....hopefully!

Shop girl......good luck with your scan today, hope that you see lots of juicy little follies. I did short protocol on my first attempt with my own eggs and it was so much quicker (and less stressful) than the long protocol. Before you know it you will be at EC and then in your 2WW. Wishing you lots of baby dust for some nice ripe follies! I know what you mean about trying to keep up with where everyone is at, I keep a little note of everybody and where they are upto which helps me. Once we get to know each other properly you will find it gets easier.

Fingers - hope the injection went ok? Its never nice injecting yourself, I cant ask my DH as he is terrified of needles and has to go out of the room whilst I do it, so your very lucky you have a good DH on hand. Like Shopgirl said, try to look forward to them as being one step closer to your dream. As you say a week in Tunisia will help the time go by and before you know it you will be stimming!

Zanna, hope you are ok?

Happy injecting everyone....

Love Taz
xx

Hi

Well first injection down. Its just like riding a bike LOL. Rang the clinic and have my follie scan on Friday next week so should have EC the week after prob weds or thurs I would have thought. Just been out and bought some brazil nuts I forgot I was supposed to have them and some full fat milk. Got my pineapple yesterday so all set now.

Taz - how strange re dates of gran and grandad dying. My mates mum and dad did that same day 10 years appart. most odd. I dont understand all this down regging malarky. Do I do that no one has mentioned it. All I know is that I inject for 11 ish days and the go for EC. I have just finished work now for 5 weeks so I can concentrate on little old me.

I dont know why but I never thought that more than 1 lady would get your eggs. That must be very difficult re timings etc having to get everyone at the same point at the same time.

Fingers - I definately know what you mean re food. Honest I can put on 3 pounds just looking at a cake. I love all foods and last time when I got pregnant it was a nightmare the only things I could keep down were plain bland white food like chicken and plain yogurt. I went off chocolate, all red meat infact I was really sick after trying to attempt red meat even after miscarriage it was nearly a month before I could stomach red meat or coffee (decaf) or anything with a bit of spice. It was most odd.

Well must go and do a bit of housework.YUK.

Take care everyone.

Hi ladies

Sar - I too done my first injection yesterday. Didn't feel it going in but start to sting a little half way through and then a little bit afterwards. I think you said you are not egg sharing so I think the process is a lot quicker. I start down regging last night (3 hours until next injection). Excited now. By the time I start stimming hopefully you will have had embryos transferred and be on your 2ww.

Taz - wow, I didn't know you could donate to more than one person at a time. I have been told that if I get less than 8 eggs that I have to donate them all to the one person. How will your cycle work if you don't get enough? OR have I got completely mixed up and it is you that is receiving the eggs due to your earlier menopause. This whole process is SOOO confusing with the amount of different things that are possible!!! x

Shopgirl - how did it go? Well I hope and well on your way to EC?

Hi Ladies,

Sar....wow, forgot you would be on short protocol....good luck girl it all happens so fast. I've not started on the brazil nuts, organic milk, pineapple yet but will be starting once I start my hrt to thicken my lining. I didn't do it last time and lining was thick enough but hey, it can't do any harm! You will be a few weeks ahead of fingers and I but hopefully we can continue to support each other.

Fingers, glad the injection went ok! Re the donors, yes I am a very lucky recipient of donor eggs, because my donor is what's called altruistic, which means she is donating all of her eggs (not having treatment herself) then all her eggs get shared between two lucky couples, we will each get a minimum of 4 eggs each, albeit if less than 8 eggs then the first couple get all the eggs and the second couple (which we are) have to wait for another donor , the good thing is that you are prioritized so don't go to the bottom of the waiting list (which can be upto 12 month) and are usually matched within a couple of weeks so please do not worry about getting enough eggs for your donor, you have to be your number one priority and I am sure you will have nothing to worry about anyway. Not sure which clinic you are at but you shouldn't have been told that you 'have' to donate all your eggs if you get less than 8, this is your choice entirely and you have every right to use whatever eggs you get, please don't think that you have to donate....I would hate to think that I would receive eggs from a lady that had been given no choice.....that's just not right. You should be given the option, although there will be costs involved if you decide to use all of your eggs (think it goes upto normal IVF fees), if you do decide to donate then I think your next cycle is free.....but you should check with your clinic, Sorry if you already know all this and I've just misinterpreted your post I was just horrified when I read your post saying you 'have to'.

AFM, having trouble sleeping, not sure if I'm worrying about tx or just the events of the last few days on my mind. Lots to organize re the funeral on tues and had job interview yesterday too so think I'm just running at 100 miles an hour at the moment!

Hello to everyone else hope you are all ok?

Love Taz xx

Hi ladies

Taz - thanks for going into so much detail. I didn't appreciate that if someone donated ultruistically that they could share with two people. i would have thought that it would be best to share with only in order to give that person the best possible chance and the most amount of eggs possible. Yes I did know that I do not have to share all of my eggs if i get a low amount but for me it is literally not an option not to share and have to pay the extra few thousand to keep them for myself. I have thought about it and i am going to definitely donate all of them if i do get less than 8 and then have all of teh eggs for myself on the next cycle. I wouldn't want to let anyone down and at least I would have another chance. hopefully that way my donee (if that is a word) and me will both get our chance of success.

i am at Northampton clininc BTW

Shopgirl - wow 9 follies and more possibly. good luck for monday. hopefully catching some rays in the garden would have helped them to bloom like little flowers and will be lovely and developed by monday! xxx

Night ladies - off to bed as have to be at luton airport in 8 hours for my flight. YIPPEE

Hi All

How is everyone? I am fine and dandy apart from just having to pick up all my washing off the floor as my washing line broke!! Got to wash it all again now what a pain in the you know what!

Shopgirl how you doing 9 follies hey that fabulous I had 2 on my first scan last time which made things all tense as they nearly cancelled my cycle. I am hoping I behave a little better on friday. How did the scan go today? I am assuming that you will have EC Weds or Thurs this week?

Fingers - LOL (that so makes me laugh) What a selfless thing to do donate all your eggs. That is so kind of you. I dont know how these things work as I am over the hill at 41 to do anything like that I suppose I am just blooming lucky to be able to use my own eggs still.

Taz - Hope your sleeping better. I am munching away nicely on the old pineapple and nuts as well as the blooming chocolate and crisps!! I really must try this week to behave! Have you heard anything about that job you went for?

Hi Zhanna hope your doing ok chuck dont work too hard.

Well I must go and have my injections. Alarm went off about 10 mins ago but I just wanted to get these posts written.

Take care everyone

Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've not been on for a few days but its been a difficult few days with Nan's funeral yesterday.

Shopgirl, hope the scan went well yesterday? 9 follies is brilliant and I am sure you had a few more by yesterday so you should be well on your way, do you have a day yet for EC?

Sar, hope the injections are still going well, go everything crossed for you on Friday as your first scan. Hope there is lots of juicy little follies ripening!

Fingers, you will be sunning yourself in Tunisia now so Im sure you are sooooo relaxed, it will do you a world of good and hopefully will ensure you get lots of lovely eggs for you and your recipient.

AFM, got my down reg scan this week, Im a little woored as Ive not had my AF yet and dont want to hold everyone up, but guess Ive had a lot of stress this last few weeks so hoping now that the funeral is over mother nature will do her thing and bring my AF on. Ive had some pains but not sure if thats AF or the down regging....guess I will just have to be patient!

Hope everyone is ok, sending lots of positive vibes and baby dust to everyone

Taz xx

Taz - so sorry about your Nan. Hope you & your family are doing ok.
When is your scan? Don't worry, you have had a lot going on & i'm sure AF will be here soon. Crazy isn't it...every month we dread AF arriving & then when you want to start a new cycle we cant wait for it to arrive!!!
Sar - have you started now? hope you are finding everything ok. Let us know how your scan goes!
Fingers - are you on your injections now too?

AFM, I had my EC today. Scan on Monday showed 11 follies, HCG injection monday night & we got 9 eggs today! We are having ICSI now as DH sample wasn't as good as previous months & they didn't want to risk nothing happening so decided to ICSI was the best option. I'm feeling ok, just a little uncomfy. Just waiting for the call tomorrow to see how many embryos we have. So pleased we got 9 eggs as it at least puts us in a good starting position!!

Keep you all posted!
xx

Thing are ok thanks. Of my 9 eggs only 4 were mature enough to use so they injected those 4 & 2 have fertilised.
At least 2 is better than nothing & it only takes 1!!! Trying to be positive I just hope they made it through last night & we have something to transfer. As you say it's quality not quantity.
Should hear sometime this morning how they are doing & what time I'll be having my ET on Saturday. As we only have 2 there is a possiblity they may transfer both now rather than just 1.

This is by far the hardest part of this process. The waiting is killing me!
Hope you guys are all ok & scans are going well.
Xxxx

Thankyou! ET is today! 2 little embies still ticking along. Still not sure if we are having 1 or 2 transferred, will chat with them today when we know how they are looking today. Reckon its prob going to be 2 cos will only freeze 1 if they both are looking amazing.

Ill let you know how i get on.

Morning

Shop girl - thats fabulous news. I only had 3 eggs when I last went out of 7 that were fertilized so I had 2 put back in and it worked so lets keep our fingers crossed for you. I am thinking of you downing your loads of water as I type. They told me the trick is not to be too full so I waited till I got to the clinic then spent 15 mins downing as much water as I could. LOL.

AFM - I had my scan yesterday and there were 6 follies showing of a good size which is so much better than last attempt when i only had 2 and they range from 13-7 in size and i also have a few small ones too which could have a growth spurt over the weekend. I have to go back Monday afternoon for another scan. Hopefully then i will be cooked enough for EC on weds.

Taz - hope your ok. I had a lift off my brother this time so no mum and dad in the waiting room. Luckily my brother had a meeting in warrington not far from the clinic so I asked if he would drop me off and pick me up when he had finished. I said I would be about 1 hour anyway well when I arrived I had only just sat down and they called me in and it took about 10 mins then they just said come back Monday. So spent the next hour and a half sat in the clinic waiting room drinking hot choc and reading mags. Very nice it was too. LOL.

Fingers hope your doing ok.

Will let you know how I go Monday.

Take care. Keep them feet up shopgirl your precious cargo now!!! LOL Very Happy

Hi ladies

Sorry I've been quiet, busy weekend.

Just a quick one to wish Sar all the best for scan this afternoon, hope you have lots of juicy follies ready for EC on weds. 6 on Friday is a good number so I'm feeling positive that you will have plenty of little ripe ones x

Shopgirl, hope you've got those feet up and are drinking plenty organic full fat milk and eating brazil nuts!!

Fingers, hope you had a good holiday and are looking forward to your down reg scan this week.

AFM, my down reg scan was fine so just waiting for everyone to catch up before I can start my progesterone, hopefully hear something this week so treatment likely end of aug.....seems like a lifetime away!! Anyway cant stop Ive got 2nd interview this morning.....ideally I would have liked to have waited until I had some firm dates so I could at least have told them I had holidays already booked....will just have to keep stum and say nothing.....worry about what to say if I get offered the job!!!

Lots of baby dust to everyone

Hi ladies
Well I am back from my holiday from hell! Cut my foot at Luton Airport going through security blood everywhere!
Got to the hotel and over run with lads who were more suited to club 18-30s! Nice!
Went on Sahara Experience trip spent 8 hours per day on coach and got swollen legs and then out in middle of Sahara in camp site got covered in sand whilst sleeping coz there was a sand storm.
Come home and now got a stinking cold!

lol - fun times!

Shopgirl - glad you got 2 embies that is so good! did you have your ET on Saturday? I really hope they are doing well! How are you feeling?

Taz - I hope you are trying to chill out a little after the last few weeks. I hope that your Nan's funeral went smoothly and was lovely! Glad your down reg scan was fine. I know what you mean about the end of August, seems like a life time away but it will fly by - HOPEFULLY anyway.

How did your interview go? Do you mean 2nd interview for the same job or you had one with someone and this was with someone else? Well either way I hope it is good news for you and you get offered the job.

Sar - glad to hear that Friday was better than your previously cycle. How did it go today - anymore and did the little ones have that growth spurt? Is EC still possibly on wed/Thurs? Soooooo exciting? I hope you helped yourself to plenty of those biscuits they have in the waiting rooms to go with your hot choc on friday! lol

AFM -

Started AF today and down reg scan now booked for next week.
OMG - forgot to do my injection last night at 9pm. It got to 11pm when i was about to go to bed and I had a panic attack. We quickly looked at the instructions and done it but I couldn't believe that I forgot. Especially after making sure we religiously went back to our room on holiday to do it! DOH!

Got the most awful period pains today which i don't normally get. Is that normal when cycling?

When is best to start with the pineapple and nuts? Any sort of nuts or a specific type? Could quite fancy sitting and munching on KP salted nuts all day long!!!!!!

F&T crossed for everyone!!

Hi All

Fingers - Well I know I shouldnt laugh but what a flipping nightmare you have had. I thought hols were meant to be relaxing. You poor thing. i had visions of you buried under sand. Don't suppose you had some gorgeous arab looking chap digging you out hey LOL. I hope that your feeling a little better today and that your legs have gone down. Nuts LOL that made me laugh it's brazil nuts you need to eat (5 a day) and have fresh pineapple or fresh pineapple juice whilst stimming. Now whats this re biscuits my clinic don't have biscuits where do you go? I am at Manchester. I am going to have to put in a complaint! LOL a biscuit would have gone down well with my hot choc LOL.

Oh all this talk of food I need to eat I have only had half a pork pie for lunch. (Thought I had better get one in just in case I do get pregnant as they are on the no go list!! LOL)

Well today ladies I have grown 12 follies ranging in size from 19 - 7 so the clinic are very pleased. I am going in on Thursday morning not sure of time yet as they have to ring me tomorrow to tell me what time to take my HGC jab. I am getting some discomfort now from my right side the scanning lady said to me this morning that my ovaries are very swollen which is normal apparently they are normally the size of my 19mm follie and I have got 8 large follies in there as well so no wonder I feel a bit sore.

I had a really nice conversation outside the clinic with one of the reception ladies she was so nice. I do think that all the people I have met there are so kind and lovely. She was saying that she was really sad when I told them it had all gone belly up last time. I suppose they must go through the journey with you and it must be sad to see people come back time and time again and go through such awful times.

Taz- 2nd interview hey thats wonderful. Fingers crossed that you get it. just keep stum I would till they offer you the job and you have signed on the dotted line then say oh dear I didnt realise I had to tell you about hols I had booked. I hope you get it chuck.

Shopgirl i hope your being good and getting everyone running round after you LOL.

Well must go I am starving. (Nothing new there then!! LOL)

Keep up the good work. Fingers don't worry re forgetting your jab they told me that if you forget and its not too far away from your normal time then it aint a problem. I have to set the alarm on my phone for 15 mins before I need to take mine. It takes me that long to set everything up. I am begining to feel like some mad chemist LOL Very Happy
