Oh Tinytot that's awful. I've had 3 ep's and they are awful. It's so terrible it happened again. My friend has both of her tubes removed following EP's and she had ivf last year. The blastocyst/baby stuck in her stumpy bit and she too had an ectopic. How awful. After reading threads on here it seems more common than I thought it would be.
I'm so sorry you have had a tough time Hun. Big hugs to you at this terrible time xxx
Sarah- thanks for advice. It was good. I'm feeling better today. I think your right re the wedding thing. It will give us something to look forward to. I've never wanted a big fat white wedding like my sister had and honestly, hand on heart I wouldn't have one if I could afford it. I would have just bought some expensive Christian louboutin shoes lol x
Ive filled out the forms and I'll send them back tomorrow and then get on the blower to chase them!
Hope you get your AF. Your thread made me laugh about the alcoholic. I know exactly what you meN. It certainly keeps me going! Xx |

Oh Tinytot, that is just so awful, though I'm glad it was caught before it got much worse. I cannot imagine the pain you must be in, to have such hope snatched away yet again. Big Hugs
Such a stark reminder that getting that BFP is just the first step on the next journey filled with ways to snatch our dream from us.
As Lizzy said, take care, and make sure you also take the time to decide what is best for you moving on. I'm not sure I would have the courage to keep trying for as long as you have.
Lisa; I had a cheap wedding which was just wonderful and I wouldn't change it for the world. My brother did the big white wedding thing, and I realised after that I didn't want one, even if I could have afforded it (think my Dad was ever so pleased!) I got all of my wedding outfit from ebay, and it cost less than £100! You can get some great dresses from China. Sure, up close the quality isn't as good, but it's a dress you're only going to wear once. Mine cost me £40! Second hand shoes, jewellery I made myself, plus the obligatory old and borrowed; it can be done! It actually cost more to hire my DH's suit than my entire outfit!! I say go for it and have something happy to look forward to |

Hi girls,
Sorry I havent been around much this week...been feeling sorry for myself I'm afraid. We should have been all excited and testing this week Its our wedding anniversary tomoz and my birthday on Tues...I had believed that we would have our answer by then but again it just wasnt meant to be
Tinytot,
Massive hugs hunni. I am so sorry you have been through so much, life truly is cruel sometimes.
Lisa,
I definitely agree with not putting off your wedding. Go for it hunni. One thing I have always said about going through ivf, is that I will not lose the next 10 years of my life whilst drowned in the world that is ivf. As hard as it is, we have to try to live whilst going through it also. It is amazing what you can do on a budget, all you need is the internet and a good imagination
Lizzy,
Hope you are doing ok hunni, been thinking of you lots xx
Sarah,
How are you hun? I totally agree with not putting anything off.....I'd say go for it, life is too short not too
Have a good weekend everyone xxxx |

Hi Tigger,
Have had a low past few days but Sarah soon cheered me up. Its my bday on mon. Was in such a low mood cos other half got made redundant so we are a bit skint, no frosties and can't afford another go. Decided to pull myself together (nor easy) booked a night out tonight at a local comedy club, bought some wine and we are going to dovedale for a picnic on my birthday and taking doggies ( cheap but cheerful). I've also enquired about egg donation so that's given me hope!
Try to enjoy your bday Hun. Just think of those little hopes on ice waiting for you. It's tough hun but your brave and will get through this.

Hi Tigger,
It was my birthday last week too. Drank lots of wine!
Had an interesting past week as far as Ivf goes. Decided to give egg donation a try. Filled out genetics form and I've passed that part. Initially it was doubtful If I could do it because they like previous cyclers to have got at least 8 eggs. I only got 6 but the consultant hadn't ruled me out.
Now just gave to go for counselling and blood tests/scans. I have an appoint on tues, so hopefully I'll be eligible and ready to crack on again soon! Hopefully we will be cycling again together! Early days gor me but trying to stay positive and focused on this to get thru my BFN grief!
Glad you are well.
Hope the others are ok too x |

Happy belated birthday tigger & lisa! Glad to hear you enjoyed your days.
I'm having the longest cycle, ever. My bbt didn't go up, so I assumed I wasnt ovulating this cycle. I usually have a 32 day cycle. On cd31 my temp went up! Which means I'm likely to have a 48 day cycle!!!
It's all very frustrating when you want to get on.
I've actually decided to go with the nhs next time, rather than egg share. Comes down to money, in the end. Seemed silly wasting free treatment, although I am very nervous about the pain and not being properly sedated again. And while I don't expect it to work, I should get some frosties which I can take with me when move, as it were. We can afford a fet down in Cambridge.
So it's been a week of careful thinking things through. Now, if I could just have a period.... |

Just to let you all know, after a mammoth 44 day cycle I finally got AF at the weekend. I made the decision that I would have treatment with the NHS this time around. Although I would have liked to donate again, this is better for me. Luckily, there was space for me, so I had blood tests and scan today to check everything is normal, which is was on the scan at least (need to wait on the bloods a day or two).
So I will be getting back on the rollercoaster around the 19th. I really hope I have made the right decision. I do feel a lot better now it is made and things are moving forwards again, although I am a lot more relaxed this time! I guess it's just that I know what to expect, I'm used to it all, and quite frankly I don't expect it will work anyway. All I want is to get some in the freezer this time that I can take with me (as it were) when I move.
Really enjoyed my first treatment free bank holiday! But I am certainly happy to now have an excuse not to drink anymore!! I'm getting far too old for it all |

Hi all,
Good luck Sarah. I've fallen off the wagon big time since my BFN! I've enquired about donating. Passed the genetic and scan part. Awaiting my AMH result. Called care this morn and was told they are in but with consultant to "sign off". I hope I get a call tomorrow to say they are ok. I can then move on to the next hurdle!
I'm going to stop drinking if my AMH results come back good. That'll give me a two months detox. I'm hoping if I get the all clear I can start end of October. If not, I'll just have to save for a private go next year.
Hope all ladies are well and are looking after yourselves. Xxxx |

Lisa, I had my last official drink on Sunday! Followed by my last official hangover on Monday, lol. I wouldn't have gotten through August without drinking, as I felt completely hopeless. I've given up so many times, for 1 month, 2 months, longer, and as it has made so little difference I got thoroughly demoralised this time. I had meant to give up for August too, but never managed it. Now I know what is happening, I have focus, which will give me the will power to stop (again). I am sure it will be the same for you, and good on you for being so positive.
I've got everything crossed that you will get the all clear, I'm sure it will be okay. It would be great if you could get you treatment before Christmas.
Hope everything is okay with everyone else |

Hi ladies,
I just wanted to get in contact and say hi and sorry I just disappeared from nowhere.
After finally getting a bfp, I miscarried at 5 weeks, we were totally devastated and the best thing to get over it all was just completely shut myself away from everything. I still can't believe I have lost two babies this year, totally devastated. I know I should be grateful I can fall pregnant but I think it would have been easier if it was a bfn :0(.
Anyway best of luck to everybody and I sincerely hope you have all the luck in the world with your future cycles. Sending lots of babydust your way
Claire xx |

Claire, it is totally understandable to shut yourself off. I can't even imagine what you must be going through, and have gone through. I think I might be more terrified of actually getting a BFP than a BFN, knowing it could only get worse. Stay strong, and all the best for the future, if you decide to try again.
Lisa, excellent news, so happy for you! How quickly did you manage to get your counselling appointment? I know there can be a bit of a delay with them sometimes. Have great fun on Friday, and have one for me too, lol! I'll watch out for you in the donor section so I can see how (well) it all goes |

Thanks Sarah and Lisa for your kind words and I wish you all the best in the future with your treatments. Unfortunately for us we self funded this treatment and we said we only have one go and I was so poorly with the drugs I don't know if I could put my marriage, my hubby or myself through it again.
Its so hard to know what to do for the best as we are all desperate to have babies
Take care
Claire xx |

Hi Claire (Clarence) hun,
I've been wanting to talk to you for ages but as you may of noticed I'm not on Facebook at the moment as my account was hacked into so I'm not quite brave enough to reactivate my account just yet.
As you know I think you have shown remarkable strength despite the devastation you've been through this year. I know how hard your treatment knocked you sideways so I'm really hoping you get your natural miracle.
I bet you often wonder what road to take. Anyway hun hope you and the family are well.
Lots of love Angie. Xxx |

Hi Angie,

Finding it a bit difficult at the moment, especially as my first little angel was due this month. Have turned to drink a bit, which I am so annoyed with myself as I was so good for three months.
I hope wonder day things will be easier and we do get to have little miracle but I'm not holding out much hope!
Don't lose contact, I can wait to hear about your little one next year. Are you going to findbout what you are having? My email address is clairedixon@hotmail.co.UK

Hi claire,
Thank you so much for your well wishes, I am fine thank you and everything is good upto now. I will probably find out what I'm having, I'm too impatient not too.
Don't beat yourself up too much about drinking hun, we all have our own ways of dealing with grief.......its a very powerful emotion and if that's what helps you roll with it then let it for now, you'll cut down again in your own time. I can imagine you can't wait to see the back of 2011 what a year its been.
Remember Claire you are made of strong stuff and with the support of your family hopefully your pain will eventually subside and become more bearable. I know you don't hold out much hope but you never know and in the meantime lovely lady keep that chin up. Thank you for your email and I will certainly keep in contact.
Sorry to all you other lovely ladies for gate crashing your thread and I wish you all the best of luck with any future treatments.
Hugs Angie xxxx |

Hi all
Sorry I've not been around for a while and not kept up with what has been going on with you all but I will catch up.
I just wanted to say I am still struggling to lose weight, I have lost a stone so far but have only been 'playing' at losing weight. I want to lose at least another stone before I have my egg transfer which (still waiting for my protocol to come) should be around the 14th October.
I went to the doctors for motivation and they have sent off a form to the local gym for free/nhs membership and I have also been given Metformin which is supposed to help regulate insulin/blood sugar in women with PCOS, a rather grim side effect is at the bowel end (hence the weight loss).
If I don't lose enough I will wait until my November cycle which means another long month at work.
Well hopefully I get a a lucky break this time because I can feel my depression worsening (another by product of PCOS) and I can't seem to keep my opinions at work to myself.
One good thing regardless of what happens will be that I see an end to this company that I work for. One way or another I will be looking for something new before the year is out.
Has anyone else rang for their next protocol? Will I be seeing some of you over in the October cycle thread? I hope this is a happy birthday for me this year, I don't have too many left (ivf wise).
Take care everyone and speak soon
Love Jo xx |

Hi Jo
I'm due to start my DR around the 19th, so my EC/ET will be sometime in October, but perhaps I'll be finished before you. Well done on losing a stone already! I have completely failed to lose more than a couple of pounds (but to be fair I haven't tried very hard yet). I am sure you'll find that if you add going to the gym into the mix you will lose more weight. Remember to go by size more than weight though, as muscle weighs more than fat and you will start to build muscle. Best of luck |
