hey everyone

midwife went well today, all bloods normal and no infections in urine had bp done and that was ok, told her about the bleeding and she says if it hasnt settled in 2 days i have to call the earl pregnancy unit for a scan. but its eased off this afternoon. plus she was much friendlier today, though i get the impression she doesnt like ivf patients a bit. DH now has to wait another week to find out if losing job ggrrr

just wondering how people are coping with morning sickness and work? ive come home early once as was throwing up from 7-12 so at 12 i decided id had enough

debbie good to hear from you, that sounds so cute your babies waving to each other. bet your excited for next scan. glad things are going well for you now.
H xx

Hannah,

Have you sourced any travel wrist bands from boots? They have stopped me actually being sick, I am still nauseous 24/7 but that is slightly easier to cope with.

Hope you find a solution that works.

Hi ladies, hope your all well.
Debbie- so nice to hear from you, so glad everything ok, you had me worried. Good luck with your 12 week scan be sure to come on and let us know how it went.
Hannah- hope things are looking up a bit, its pants that you have to wait another week to hear about DHs job, hopefully it'll be good news. Also glad all your tests went well, did you get your 12 week scan through?
Ridler- hey hun I'm so glad your scan went so well, what a relief maybe you can start to relax a little now.
Katy- glad your holiday was good, well apart from it being a slight wash out. Good luck for Tuesday let us know how you go on, keep positive.
PP- hi hun glad your midwife appt went well its always a worry. Hope everything else is good?
To anyone I've missed hope your all well.
ATM- well my 12 week scan has come through the post and is on the 5th Sep just over 2 weeks can't bloody wait. I'm a bit worried at the moment because all my symptoms such as sickness seem to have disappeared. I'm sure its just me being paranoid. I really need to keep my positively up.

Hi everyone,

ridler, congrats on your scan, bet it was lovely seeing the little bean. only 4 weeks and you can have another scan so i hope it goes quick for you.

tare, i have some travel wrist bands but i keep taking them off as they make me get a lump in my hand and it hurts if i knock it on anything, but i keep trying them, been nibbling digestives to keep my sugar levels up, but i dont like tea or ginger biscuits. im 9 weeks and 4 days now so should be wearing off soon. thank god cos i went for a walk this am and had to throw up in a bin and got some very funny looks.

lottie, good to know it wears off as people keep telling me they suffered all the way through but i think they're just trying to scare me. i dont really mind being sick too much really, getting used to it now.

angie, try not to worry about your symptoms, i keep getting a day or 2 off from being sick and im learning to just enjoy it. bet your so excited for your scan! i've not had my date through yet but ill be 12 weeks on the 5th

have a great weekend everyone x x

Hi everyone!

Everything went well at the scan and my EDD is 3.4.12. It's so amazing! I can't wait. Thanks to everyone for your support over the past few weeks. It's been a long and stressful summer. Roll on next spring! Wink

Hope everyone is well and not suffering too much with all these wonderful pregnancy symptoms!

And me!! One little bundle safely tucked in for the ride, due date 4/4/2012.

As for me, even with the bands on I am now vomiting Sad hibernating until November seems like a good idea currently, but that's all the complaining I'll do for now. Please don't misunderstand me - I am extremely grateful to be here.

Hugs to all xxx

I was always told the sickness was a good sign things are going as they should do! I've got midwife app Friday hope she's nice! Can't wait for the 12 week scan and hopefully by then I'll be feeling a bit better too!
Take care all

Thanks Ridler, I know - everyone keeps telling me 'the sicker you feel the safer the pregnancy is' but that is little help when you are stuck with your head down the toilet!!

I am sure your midwife will be lovely. I have my appointment next Wednesday so not long to wait for that now either. I am beginning to get just a little bit excited having seen our little bundle today but will feel so much safer in 6 weeks time when we move officially into the 2nd trimester.

Hugs to all.

Congrats to Katy and Tare for your scans, i bet you are on the count down to your 12 week scan next!!
I have my 12 week scan on Friday, a bit apprehensive, still not many symptoms...that desperate i even did a HPT today and panicking slightly as i am sure the line was fainter, although, as said on the other thread, i havent had any worrying pains or bleeding, so i think i am getting paranoid!!
I also start reducing my pessaries tommorow and finish them finally on Sunday...definatly looking forward to that!!
Anyway, hope the sickness isnt getting anyone down too much

im surprised your only just reducing your pessaries weena, i started reducing mine on monday when i hit 10 weeks but i guess everyone is different. im deffinately glad to be getting off them too.

congrats katy and tare, glad you've managed to move on to next step.

angie i have been morning sickness free for 3 days and despite what i said in my last post i am worried as also had that little bleed. not received my date for 12 week scan yet either but it should be in around 2 weeks so im really looking forward to some reassurance.

i tried water baby today its like folic acid tablet in drink form with other vitamins but i didnt like it, i think it tastes of grapefruit so it anyone likes grapefruit maybe its worth a try. anyway bed calls. night all x

Hi Hannah,
I've also started reducing my peseries, I'm 10 weeks now so I'm doing 1 a day instead of 2 then after a week its 1 every other day in week 11 and then stop on week 12. I must admit I can't wait to finish the bloody awful things.
As for morning sickness mine has gone again. It seems to go for around 4 days then comes back for a couple then goes again, it is really worrying but apparently around this time the placenta takes over and the hcg levels Plato so the sickness becomes less. It still doesn't stop the panick and I can't wait for my 12 week scan as I'm really frightened that its stopped growing or something. All this waiting is a killer my scan is in 12 days and counting.
I would wait while the end of the week hun and if you haven't got your date give them a ring.

marie and hannah, what pessaries/amounts are you taking. I am on 200 utrogestan x 2 day, so stay on 2 a day today and tomorrow, then one a day friday, saturday and sunday?
I woke up in a really down mood today and havent shaken it all day, I, like everyone else I expect feel so nervous about my scan Friday, the whole process is just one massive worry..when does it stop and when can we start enjoying this pregnancy!!! Once the scan is over Friday, then is the whole worry of the antenanetl tests (downs etc)..I never thought I would feel this way!!
Oh well, DH was away last night, so just waiting for him to get home for a bit of TLC and fajitas!!!

Hi ladies
Just a quick question, I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and been on 1 200mg progesterone pessery morning and night. My protocol just said stop at 12 weeks do I reduce slowly or just stop on one day? I asked the nurse at 8 week scan and she said just stop but with all you girls doing different I just wondered??
Thanks ridler xx

Hi ladies,

Weena-I am also on utogestan 200mg x2 although now I'm on 1 per day, hope your feeling a little better today. These hormones are awful, hope your scan goes well tomorrow I'm sure it will.
Hannah- glad your feeling a bit calmer, all this worry is awful. Hope you get your scan through the post soon, hopefully that'll reassure you further. Glad your sickness is improving.
Ridler- hi hun I think from past posts I've read all care clinics seem to have different protocols. I don't know why they've said stop at 12 weeks, most ladies seem to reduce their dose. I wouldn't worry too much hun. Hope your feeling well?

Hi everyone!

Hannah - I really hope everything works out for you guys. You've had it really rough just lately and deserve a break! Good luck!

Ridler - I've been told exactly the same thing as you. I'm to stop my pessaries and metformin at 12 weeks (or 10 weeks post EC).

Weena - I read somewhere that hcg levels start to level off/drop from as early as 8wks so don't read anything into those faint lines. You'll drive yourself mad like I did! I hope everything goes well with your scan tomorrow.

AFM - the midwife rang today and set up an appointment. The first she can do is the 14th sept so I'll be 11 weeks by then. It just seems like a long time to wait, especially as she says we won't arrange the 12week scan until then. I'm planning to have a scan done before then anyway as I'm desperate to see bump again!

Hope you're all ok,

Big hugs,

Hi guys,

Hannah good luck for tomorrowhope all goes well for hubby.

Weena, I havnt had any symptons either and im 12 weeks on saturday. Ive had a couple of episodes of nausea but apart from that and sore boobs nothing. I worry also wish i was having a 12 week scan. Good luck for tomorrow.

Ridler im at manchester and take my last 2 pessaries tomorrow then stop like you. Think all clinics do it differently.

I think the general concencous is, stick with what Care tell us (regarding the pessaries), I think they are all different, but at the end of the day, they are the experts and u know what the internet is like, u read different things on different websites...we will all end up in knots!!!
Hannah - hope you have good news today, finger crossed for you, let us know how it went xx
Obi - I'm glad I'm not the only one with not many symptoms
AFM - I went to the nurse today at my local doctors, as last week I phoned the midwife and queried why I didnt have a urine test at my booking scan. So I went in, urine pot safely in my bag and explained to the nurse why I was there (as I was sent by the midwife)...her reply was "oh so you are pregnant then!!"...my reply was polite "yes, I am, thats why my midwife sent me to see you!!!". She then asked what she was supposed to do with it as they didnt normally get involved in pregnancy stuff!! I really wondered why I bothered!! Luckily she knew how to test for protein, infection etc and that came back all ok. She asked if she was supposed to send it off, again I explained that I wasnt the expert!! She said if she needed to do this then I had to provide a sample first thing in the morning. So I left there not feeling any more confident than I went in! Luckily my little sis is back from holiday tomorrow and a newly qualified midwife, so at least she has a good idea if i need to run things past her!
Anyway, scan tomorrow, finger crossed all is ok with little one...will keep u posted
