I too am counting down til scan day, it is so bizarre to be happy when I get any pregnancy symptoms, DH has just cooked himself some really stinky smoky bacon, I felt sick and the smell is so strong that although I was a bit mad at him for stinking the kitchen out it reassures me that these kind of symptoms must be a good sign

I've had no major nausea feelings as yet. I've grazed and that has really helped. Just remember eat little and often.

I've still got 13 days to go, cos of the bank holidays!!!! Its taking forever!!! I think this whole week is dragging waiting for Christmas and having to work.

Han - neck ache sounds like a strange sympton!!!

Have any of you had a flu jab? I have been on the priority waiting list at my documents for 2 weeks now. I rang them today and still don't have an appointment, bit really sure what the problem is

I had my flu jab a week after my BFP. My surgery had to order a vaccine in for me, which I did have to wait for.

Did you explain to the receptionist why you need one? There was something on the news yesterday about low levels of uptake by pregnant women, so they ought to be positively encouraging you to go for the jab.

I hadn't thought about asking for a flu jab, did you just ring up your GP?

I have felt really rough today, just really tired and lacking in energy, I ended up eating too much of the canneloni I made for tea and feel really bloated now, Just had a peppermint tea so hopefully that will do the trick.

Hey Ladies,

hope we are all ok?
well I am feeling sick all the time now, when out and brought some ginger nut biscuits this morning and my friend has poped out of work to go get me some of these sickness bands, they worked for her while she was pregnant so hoping they will for me.
I hope by the sickness everything is ok and is going to plan
6 more days to go till my scan yayayayaya

Han, hope the next 6 days go quickly.

Ruby, I just phoned my surgery and asked for the flu jab. Know what you mean about the bloating after a meal, I've noticed I'm eating far less at mealtimes, but grazing more often.

Hi there ladies

I've not had my flu jab either. I might call GPs and sort one out too, as you need to be on the safe side.

No sickness for me, hoping it will stay away but I also eat little and often so hopefully it's keeping sickness at bay.

Is everyone looking forward to Sunday?? I can't think about it as I'm too busy thinking about next Friday!!!

I know what you mean Amanda, I am really looking forward to Christmas as we have a 4 year old so it is so magical but also once Christmas has been it is closer to having the scan on 28th Dec

I have been trying to eat little and often today and have felt a bit better so going to carry on doing that.

How are the rest of you doing? littlemrsc have you had your first scan?

Ruby, we had an early scan 10 days ago after an episode of bleeding. Saw a lovely little bean snuggled in with heart beating strongly. We were prompty discharged from CARE and now have to wait another 4 weeks for our NHS 12 week dating scan (although we haven't had a date for it yet...) CARE confirmed that I was measuring as I should, and gave me a due date of 2nd August. We're telling the future aunties this weekend, and our closest friends on NYE.

Hi girls!! Glad to hear your all well! I'm now 8+4!!! I have had my 12 week scan date through it's on the 18th Jan!!! And my midwife appointment came through today too! Thats the 11th Jan! I also booked a private scan for 7th Jan lol! Can't wait till the 18th way to impatient! A good day I think! Hope all you lovely ladies have a wonderful Christmas!! Enjoy! X

Hi Ladies, how you all doing? Did you have a good CHristmas? All the time we having been saying, can't do this next year, can't do that, but we will be doing baby related things!!!!

I had a touch of spotting on Thursday night and had a panic It was red and watery and lasted about 2 hours. I rang the emergency number and went in for a scan on Friday morning. \she could see a pregnancy sac and a yolk sac, as I was a day off 6 weeks it was too early for a heart beat. She said my ovaries were still enlarged and possibly that a cyst burst which caused the spotting (Although I didn;t feel anything burst) It was reassuring to see the sac. I know totally understand the difference between spotting and bleeding. Another 8 days til our official scan, when fingers crossed their will be a heart beat.

I've got a flu jab booked, I called the GP and pushed it a bit, after between told there was a waiting list, she put me on hold then came back and said they had some appointments on Thursday 29th. Don;t really know why they didn;t call me, but at least it is booked.

Dianne - glad they could bring you in for a scan, all sounds positive, good luck for your scan.

AFM - been for my early scan today and there is a little bean in there with a heartbeat and all looks well and I am 6 1/2 weeks, there was also what looked like an empty sac in there which she thought was probably meant the other embryo had implanted but not progressed and nothing to worry about. Was lovely to see it on the screen, have another scan at Care on the 11th Jan and then I will be discharged but was advised to book in with the midwife at my local GP which have done which is 5th Jan. Still trying to be calm and rational that it is still early days but all is well so far so am really happy.

Han - is your scan today too?
