Hi girls,
I am sure there is an existing thread or one that has been started many times but I just wodered if there was anyone out there trying to lose weight who needed a bit of support and motivation.
I am currently 10st and would like to get down to about 8st 5 as thats what I weighed before I had the boys, Ive always struggled with my weight and 8st 5 was the lowest Ive ever weighed,12st 7 being the heaviest. I am turning 30 in march and would love to feel confident in my self before then and fit in to my pre baby clothes. I am currently using a programme called My Fitness Pal which tells you how many calories you should consume and you basically put in what your eating through out the day,you can do this online or on your phone,I'm on day 2 and it seems to be fairly easy to follow..so far! I am also trying to exercise by doing some fitness dvds and sit ups,so far I only managed to do it on Thursday but thats due to af arriving on Fri!
Hope theres someone out there that would like to join me.
Vicky xx |

Hi Vicky!
Yes, me too.
Well done on following the diet so far.
I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in November - I've since lost half a stone but need to lose at least 3 more I'm now 12 and a half (and only 5ft 3 which gives me a bmi of 31).
I am following the holford low gl diet - I'm not counting everything I eat but following the meal plans and eating low gi foods. I'm struggling to fit in any exercise - that is going to be my challenge. I work fulltime and have a longish commute to work too so struggle to find time for me.
I was looking at today's Sunday Times and there is an exercise plan in teh Style magazine that takes you from zero fitness to reasonably fit by the time of the Olympic - i was thinking of following that because it's only about half an hour five times a weel.
I could really do with some support and would really love to buddy up. I've tried buddyign up with people in the past and to be honest I've fallen by the wayside but now I have a serious health imperative.
Here's to a happy healthy skinny 2012 for both of us!!! Anyone else to join us?

I'm so glad I'm not alone!..welcome to all of you, I am sure if we keep each other motivated we can reach our goals. I have taken some pics out of a holiday a few years ago as my motivation and then took some of me the other day to see what I am and what I can be.Well done to all of you for having managed to lose weight already,we will lose the rest!
If like Michelle and myself exercise is something that you find difficult to find time to do exercise dvds are great even though they are all celebs who probably had everything cooked for them and personal trainers lol. I used the Hannah Waterman dvd last year for a bit and its hard work but you can do a 20 min sessions of cardio, toning etc or all the sessions depending how much time you have. I have also got the Nadia Swahala one which I shall try out and let you know about, I think its a similar principle of short workouts, I went by reviews on the internet, and both are meant to be very effective, Nadia Swahala seems more likeable but I know with Hannah Watermans hers really make you work!
I will put a list of all our starting weights and when we all have your weekly weigh ins I will update how fantastically well we are doing!

But you 're heavily pregnant ! I was 17 stone at my heaviest pregnant weight - had Hettie and only lost 7 pounds which was quit remarkable as she was 8 lb 1 oz.
Feeling very motivated - I do the Cambridge diet so it comes off very fast - I lost 3 stone in 9 weeks last year x |

Hannah you are more than welcome to join us whenever you are ready, the more the merrier lol.
Michelle what a fantastic weight loss, you must be so proud of your self, that's half way to half a stone!
My weigh in day is on Friday,Ive been on Af so hope that won't effect how much I've lost,it feels good to be doing something positive to lose weight, don't expect miracles just any loss will be great.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
Vicky xx |

Hi,
Please can I join too, on a major mission this year as I am the heaviest I have ever been! I was 11st 6 last monday but was 11st 2 this week. I want to at least get to 9st 7, ideally 9st by the end of the year (and one of those stones I would like to be before March when we get the twins christened).
I'm not following a specific diet at the moment, just healthy eating, I have got the Zumba DVD and have made pacts with some of my friends to only go for walks/pram pushing when we meet up rather than doing lunch. DD and the twins are also helping out by not allowing me time to eat!!
Here's to a skinny 2012!
Helen

HIi
Vicky - I had a naughty day last saturday when we had friends round for dinner so ended up putting 1lb back on and couldn't zumba last week as my back decided to pack in (thanks to the twins!) but was 11lb 0.5 this morning so still going in the right direction! Not as fast as I would like but slowly plodding away
Hannah - Not long now
Squeeza and michelle - How are you doing?
Helen

Anne, you are more than welcome to join us,not too long till your little one arrives!
Hannah 2 stone is not a bad weight gain, only exercise if you have been exercising already, personally I would leave the exercise until after baby but thats because I could hardly see my feet at this point lol.
Helen without a bad day 1.5lb is brilliant but with a bad day thats amazing! You are so close to your stone before the christening!
With the updates we have had so far there has been a total loss of 8.5lb or if we take Helens loss the week before we started in to account there has been a 12.5lb loss! Now I dont know about anyone else but I think thats a brilliant weight loss in a week, well done girls!

Hi,
Sorry quick post, my laptop is broken (just found out it's due to playdoh being in the fan!!!), once its back this weekend I'll do personnels.
Weigh in today, 12stone 6lbs, happy with just the 1lb as I had a chinese take away and Frankie and Benny's meal in one week. Aiming for 2lbs this week, want to be less than 12 stone by Valentines day.
Well done everyone, seems we are all doing well.

Hi girls,
A quick post for me, the boys are both full of cold and cough at the minute.
Michelle, with a chinese and a meal out 1lb is a great loss, and means your still on the right track and doing really well.
I have lost 2lb this week but I have a naughty habit of weighing in everyday and my scales say I have put on since yesterday so am a bit confused lol.
