Wasn't sure what to call this one! There are a couple of us currently down regging so have started a cycle buddy thread and hope that others will join us.

I am on my 2nd ICSI cycle at Nottingham. Started down reg injecting buserelin on 18th Jan. So far had one massive emotional meltdown, and one day feeling really unwell and headachy. Apart from that all is good! Expecting AF any day now so I can book in for down reg scan.

My husband has low sperm count and I have severe endo.

Anyone else out there? I am feeling REALLY positive today! Laughing

Hi, so sorry I wasn't in last night. How are you going? any sign of AF yet? Im booked in for scan on Monday but I don't think AF will be here for then and Im not sure what to do if it doesn't come, do you still have your scan??!?

Im feeling really good about this cycle, Ive got a relaxation cd which is fab and just have a positive feeling. On my first cycle I never really believed it would work, but fingers crossed this will be a good year.

I have sever endo but dh is very healthy.

Hi Golfgirl, im on my 1st IVF cycle. I have started my DR injections and just got my AF today Smile

so should get my scan date soon. im the same being emotional but thats it.

Hi ladies!

Yes AF appeared yesterday so I am booked in for scan next thurs. All feeling a bit real now! Emotional fog seems to have lifted a bit since yesterday. Husbands birthday today and we have been snow tubing down a dry ski slope! Was brilliant. Laughed and laughed which I needed to do. Out for dinner tonight, then home to drink loads more milk. yay!

Rosey I'm not sure about your scan. On my last cycle and this one I had to phone them to book in once AF had arrived. Maybe give them a bell?

Glad we are all feeling positive! I am not looking forward to injecting progesterone though. They have given me that instead of pessaries this time and I have read that they are painful.

Hi, how are we today?

Still no sign of AF for me, its bl**dy typical, Im normally as regular as clockwork and the one time I want it to come it doesn't. Ive got to call mon morning and cancel if no luck over the weekend. Part of me thinks is there any chance I might be pg but its so unlikely I dont think Ill bother testing.

GG sounds like you've had a fab day, whats the milk for??

Sorry to hear no AF yet. The one time you want it to turn up...!

Full fat organic milk I think is supposed to help womb lining and possible egg quality? Will look it up. There must be a reason why I am drinking 2 pints a day! Smile

Hi Ladies
Can I join this thread to. Im new to all this, it's my first IVF/ICSI, I started my dr injections on 18th Jan and had my AF on 25th Jan. I'm having my dr scan this Thursday and I'm hoping all is well to start the next phase.I'm feeling very positive, been eating healthy over the pass few months, decaf tea, pregnacare tablets and also having acupuncture to see if this will help.

Rosey1 I hope you get your AF soon so you can book your scan

Hi, Of course you can, I started DR on the 20th so 2 days behind you guys. I had to cancel my scan today as still no sign of AF Sad

I know in the long term it makes no difference but Id hoped to get started on the stimms today.

Glad you are feeling positive, why IVF? mines due to server endo, discovered last year. GG how are you doing?

i start my stimming injection tonight hope it goes ok.

, its my first IVF to you have just got to take on step at a time and you will be fine.

Rosey i had to wait for my AF and because i was so late i phoned care they told me to go in for a scan so they could have a look if anything was wrong. everything was ok and had my AF the day after. We will get it soon.

Golfgirl sounds like your DH had a good birthday. so you will be starting your stimming injections this week then Smile

Rosey me and my DH have been trying for over six years I had a lap and dye and my tubes were clear and I have mild endo. DH sperm seems to be ok but on his last test it was poor quality so that's why they are going to do ICSI.
We didn't go straight to IVF we kept on trying naturally in hope we my conceive plus I didn't know how I would feel if IVF didn't work as we only get one go on the NHS but if we never have a go we will always be left wondering.
It shouldn't be to long now before you do your scan and get your AF
Lisa I'm like you I'm just going to take it one step at a time and enjoy the treatment and not to get to stress. I hope your injections are going well and we all get a BFP at the end

Hi everyone! It is nice to have the support now that there's a few of us going through this at the same time. Sorry have not been around for a couple of days, to be honest I have been feeling pretty unwell with it. Getting really bad headaches, and my AF was really painful. Lots of endo type pain which I haven't had for a long time.

So been feeling a bit sorry for myself! Hoping I start stimms on fri so these side effects go away! And I am SO tired all the time which is not good as I drive a lot for work. Will probably work from home from next week though.

Yes Lemon our dates are the same!

Rosey any sign yet or can you get a scan anyway?
Lisa how are the stimms going?

I also just had to phone my drugs provider - used them as their quote was Â£200 less than Care but they haven't sent me anywhere near enough needles or syringes. Small panic!
Hope you are all doing better than me on the side effects front.

How are we all today? Have you had any snow yet? its freezing here but no snow yet.

GG - how are your headaches? I really suffered on my first round but Ive been ok this cycle, make sure you drink plenty of water.

Lisa - how are your injections going, are you doing them? Im too scared so my DH does them for me.

Lemon - fingers cross it will work for you on your NHS go. this postcode lottery is so unfair, Im not entitled to any free treatment so me and DH have had to fund both rounds so far. I so hope it works this time as we really cant fund anymore.

My AF has arrived so ive had my scan now and i start stimms on Friday yey!!!! I think we are all pretty much together date wise. xxxx

Hi everyone! I hope all is ok.
Been for my scan today all is well and I start my Stimms tonight, feeling a little nervous but excited too.

Rosey it's a great feeling to get started and I bet you feel a lot better now your AF has arrived and you are on to the next stage.

GG I hope you are feeling much better I had a few headaches and been very tired and slightly emotional!

Lisa how are the Stimms going? Doing my tonight for the first time seems a bit more complicated than the DR injections.

. My DB is getting my injections ready for me but i put them in myself. Got my scan soon but cant say dates as im egg sharing. stimms going fine no side effects.

GG did you get all your needles sorted. are you starting your stimms tonight?

Lemon i was nervous about starting them but you soon get used to it. When is your scan? are you getting any side effects?

Rosey your starting stimms tonight to, just make sure you drink lots and lots of water

Hello hello!

How's everyone getting on? I started stimms last night - it was ok actually and easier than I remembered mixing them with the water. My husband usually does it but I was at my mum's so did it with her. Think she liked that she was getting involved!

Headaches are so strange - I am drinking so much water, but I think they are worse if I don't eat regularly. Sometimes I get caught without food at work, so trying to be better organised at taking food with me. I am hoping that the 2nd stimm injection tonight is going to banish them forever though.

When is everyone's next scan? Mine is Monday. The nurse told me they want to see me quite soon as I am on 300iu of menopur which is quite a high dose I think.

Lisa good for you egg sharing - yes thanks loads of needles arrived yesterday in the post.

Anyway - hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the weekend!

Hi, How's DR going. Im really struggling with headaches and stomach cramps, I didnt have any symptoms last time but terrible this time. When are you in for your first scan. Im on 400 menopur and not in until next Friday. PMA - grow follies, grow .....

I only had 6 eggs last time, and of those only 2 fertilised normally so fingers x I'll get a few more this time. Ive also decided to have 2 put this time instead of 1 so hopefully Ill have more of a chance. What about you? are you going for 2 or 1?

Hi Rosey

Sorry to hear you are suffering. I didn't have side effects last time either - it's been a bit of a shock. I am feeling much better now though after 3 days of stimms.
You are on higher menopur than me then. I got 10 eggs last time, 8 fertilised, had 2 blasts put back in and none to freeze. We were recommended to go for 2 last time due to my endo. So we did. And it didn't work. There's loads of info on this forum about 2 vs 1.
Loads of snow here! Almost got stuck in it last night.
How is everyone else doing?
Got my scan tomorrow morning will update after that.

Hi everyone

Rosey I havent had to many side effects but since Stimms I have been having cramps and dull aches and I'm hoping this is normal. My scan is tomorrow and keeping my fingers cross that I'm responding to the drugs and have some little follies growing. I'm on 150 menopur and 150 gonal f. I can only have one egg put back in as the NHS does not allow 2. I hope everything goes well for your scan on Friday. I do think it's so unfair that the NHS only fund certain areas and they don't seem to treat it a medical problem when their are people out there who get treated time and time again for alcohol or drug related problems and don't have to pay anything extra towards their treatment.

Hi, Its blooming cold out there isnt it, fingers x it will go really soon, I love snow but at xmas not in Feb Very Happy

So lots of scans coming up then, GG how has yours gone today? I wonder why Ive got to go 7 days before a scan but you guys only had to wait a couple of days? and Im on the largest dose possible? its strange how different clincs have different advice isnt it.

Has anyone had an increase in CM, mine gross today

Hi there all ok for me today. Have got 2 big follies on left and 5 on right and lots of "tinies". I have got another scan on weds though, seem to be monitoring me closely. My acupuncturist thinks I could go for EC as soon as Monday! I haven't even listened to my zita west cd yet!

Rosey no increase in CM here but got pretty bad wind Smile

starting to feel quite bloated too.

I am feeling really positive today too! Lemon totally know what you mean about water. I feel like it's going to start coming out of my ears soon.
Right off to eat some protein.

Hi all

Just a quick update,been for my scan today and all is well so far, starting to grow a few follies in each ovary and just need them to keep on growing, fingers cross and everything else! My next scan in on Thursday it now seems to be moving very quickly.

Hi all hope we are doing ok.

Had another scan today. All ok think I am motoring on though, they are talking about egg collection on Monday as I have got 4 follicles nearing 20mm.

Argh!
Don't feel mentally prepared for it all to be going this fast! Another scan on Fri.

Starting to feel bloated and twinges now.

Rosey i had to wait 7 days to. If you start feeling to bloated just phone care.

GG I know what you mean about moving fast but you will be fine, you are ready. Smile

Lemon Good luck for tomoz and you get your date for egg collection. How many follicles have you got? im not really sure what the ave number is?
