Hi everyone,

How is everyone getting along? I didn't have a good week, on Saturday I had lost 2lbs but by weight in today I have stayed the same. Oh well at least I didn't put on. Went and get new scales as our olds ones could swing with a 3lb difference.

Also I was ill last week so no walking, I think this was a big factor for me not losing anything last week. So just come back from a good hours walk.

Speak to you all soon.

Michelle x

OK, time to join!

I lost 42lb after having my boys. I initially lost 21lb but then got stuck and it kept creeping back on so I'd only lost 14lb but 18 months ago I decided enough was enough and lost the total of 42lb. I stayed that weigh, give or take a few lb all of last year. However...Christmashas taken it's toll! And I'm in the middle of lost of awards dinners and 3 course meals and al 3 of us in our house have our birthdays approaching, with my 2 nephews either side of us so lots of birthday cake and party food coming up too! AARGH!

So, I've slipped back to back to 8st 13 and would like to be under 8st 7. I'm aiming to be good all week and only blow it at the weekends at the dinners/parties. Hopefully that'll mean I don't put any on until the 13th Feb, when everything is done and dusted and I can start again properly.

SO 8st 13, weighing in on a Friday.

Good luck everyone!

Jo xx

Hi girls,

A quick message from me, I am still 9st8lb and not too happy about it, I have been really good with my diet and even started training for my 10k and the scales arent moving lol. Ive read that sometimes having a naughty day can get your weight loss going again but I feel bad having a naughty day when I've been working so hard.

Jo- Well done on getting where you are, Im sure it wont take you long to get to your target weight even with all the birthdays in between, birthdays are can justify not sticking to a diet especially with all that cake!

Karen- Welcome, you will do fab and be feeling fantastic by the time you are maid of honour-just dont out shine the bride!

Vicky xx

Hi all

karen, welcome to the group

vicky, are you doing much exercise? when i lost 3 stone for IVF i was going on wii fit every morning only to do yoga, it didnt seam like much exercise but when i stopped doing it i found it hard to lose more weight, maybe just try add 5 mins a day?

afm - i put on 1lb this week. didnt really want to put any on but its only 1lb in 2 weeks and i'm 33 weeks tomorrow. so now put on 2 stone 1lb so far in my pregnancy. lets see if i can keep it to 2 stone 5lb or under by the end of the pregnancy. wish me luck girls xx

HI all,

Just a quickie from me, I maintained last week< think I may have maintained this week as well, the weigh in tomorrow will tell! I'm not surprised though as I have been naughty a couple of times and haven't had chance to excercise when I would like to Sad

Hannah - You are doing really well, I put on 4stone with my first pregnancy and 3.5 with the twins (but I was heavier to start!) You are in the final stretch now Smile

Jo - Wow you have done so well to loose all that weight, I bow down to you - what is your secret? Are you partying for anything specific?

Vicky - Try not to feel disheartened, sometimes it takes a couple of weeks for the hard work to kick in - keep at it and you will be fine (I do believe that a little of what you fancy does you good though and if you totally deprive yourself you are more likely to give in!)

Karen - Welcome!

Michelle - Hope you are feeling better and the girls are helping keep you on your feet Smile

Hi all,

Just a quickie, a measly 0.5lb weight loss, but tbh, I thought I may have even gained this week, so happy with that and back on track today Smile Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi girls,

Hannah as Helen said thats brilliant,I put on about 2 and a half stone each time, but I'd also put on weight during the ivf, you're doing really well to be healthy.

Jo- I would love to know your secret too especially as you have so little to lose.

Helen, considering you have not done as much exercise as you would like to and been naughty a 0.5lb is still a great loss, a loss is a loss!

I have surprised my self and carried on because I really dont feel like I'm dieting and am actually enjoying it and feel great but my weight coming to a complete standstill is what is hard, especially as last week I started running and managed to do that 4 times during the week. I have lost weight before and never had an issue with it not coming off and that was without exercising lol, I shall persevere and look forward to the scales showing a loss soon lol.

Good luck for the rest of the week everyone,

Vicky xx

Hi everyone

I weighed in yesterday and now 12stone 4.5lbs so total loss of 6.5lbs (nearly half a stone). It's coming off slowly but I don't mind that, this weight it coming off and not going back on so nice and slow. Plus I am still letting myself have a drink and maybe a take away every week so don't feel I'm depriving myself.

Vicky - How are you finding fitness pal, I think its really good.

Squeeza - Not heard from you in a while, how you getting on?

Hannah - Not long now until the baby arrives. I wouldn't worry too much about your weight you will lose loads from giving birth!

Helen - How you getting on, need to come see you and the twins as now seems them for a while. Will text you.

Jo - Welcome onboard, sounds like you have alot on at the moment but doing really well.

Karen - Welcome, the more the merrier!

Best get back to work.

Speak soon

Hi,

Vicky - Stick with it, you will see results eventually, and don't forget if you have taken up running and lots of exercise that muscle weighs more than fat so you may feel the difference in your clothes before you see it on the scales Smile

Michelle - Well done you, slowly but surely is good, I am also still having a drink on a fri and sat as I literally only have one anyway and have spent god knows how many years not drinking while ttc so not going to deprive myself now! I am hoping that by taking the have a day off approach I will stick at it and I certainly don't feel like I am dieting at the minute. You are more than welcome to pop round - just drop me a text and we can sort something out! Smile

Hi Everyone -

Karen, how did your weigh in go? Zumba sounds great!

Hannah - You are doing really well, I was huge with both my pregancies, don't think my height (or lack of it!) helped!

Vicky - Well done thats excellent, all the hard work is paying off! My sympathy with all the bugs, Sophie is full of a cold and the way she is always smothering the babies with kisses they are sure to come down with it too!

As for me I lost 1lb, I was hoping for more but I am now under the 11st mark and have 7lb left to loose for my first target of a stone before the christening on 11th March!

Good luck to everyone for this week!

Helen

So weigh in today and I am 12 stone 3lbs. So thats 2lbs off 8lbs in total now.

Aargh! Terrible two weeks with too many birthdays and birthday cakes! 8st 13. Have a new dress that I need to fit into on Saturday night too, so got to lose a good few lb this week!

For those who have asked, I changed to Slimming World. I don't do it through a club or internet. The internet was too expensive and there's no clubs on the IoM so I gleaned info from Suzy that used to run the dieting thread. Both Suz and I were completely stuck at a weight. She started SW and it fell off her and she got even lower than she was aiming for! After a few months, I decided to try it and the same happened for me! Last year, I was also walking 50 miles a week for a long distance race walk. I've not walked regularly for 6 months now though and have only put 4lb on on average.

Hi,

Jo, you are doing really well, I am sure you will get into your dress on saturday, I did slimming world a few years ago and found it fantastic. I am contemplating doing it again.

Michelle - you are doing really well!

I have a rosemary connelly 2 week kickstart diet that i think I am going to start on Monday just to give me a little boost before the christening and then I can maybe go shopping for a new outfit!! Smile

Think I will then join the slimming world camp too! Smile

Hi girls,

Everyone is doing fantastically well, especially for sticking to it beyond the first month which is always a challenge! I have lost another 1lb this week and have started exercising more which I am actually starting to really enjoy it gives me half an hour of time to myself as well as keeping fit, I can feel a slight difference in my clothes too,my aim is half a stone before the end of March. How is everyone else finding it? Hannah I hope the pregnancy is going well, not long now! I have updated everyones progress on the first page, keep up all the hard work we are doing really well.

Hi everyone,

Sorry just a quick one as at work and my laptop has officially died at home.

I haven't been well for last few days but I did see 11stone 13lbs this morning. I don't want to say I am that as I won't be due to being ill. So I'm going with 12stone 1lb as I think thats about right.

Hope everyone is ok, I am having a naughty day today but after not eating for three days why not!

Hi, Sorry, been redculously busy this week! Smile

Michelle - Glad you are feeling better - and well done on the weight loss (albeit helped along by germs!) We will have to keep each other on track on Friday!

Hannah - You are still doing really well, don't forget the last few weeks are when baby is gaining all its weight (and as a result you too!) try not to get too hung up on it, plenty of time once its here! (Do you know what flavour you are having?)

Vicky - you are doing great, and so motivated too Smile

afm - I had a really bad weekend and valentines (m&s dine in for 2!) so put a
on 1lb and started rosemary yesterday, doing well so dar, aiming for a 2lb loss for next wednesday!
