I was wondering when I have my scan in a couple of weeks will it be an internal one? And if so wont that be dangerous?
I think I will be about 6+ 4 weeks. |

| Hi Jaybee the scan is an internal one I don't think it is dangerous or they wouldn't do it good luck with your scan Hun I bet you can't wait |

my friend had a scan in greece at 20 something weeks cos she got hurt and it caused no harm at all!!

Does anyone know if they just scan at 6 weeks then you wait until the 12 weeks with nhs or do you have another in between?
And how long do you stay in Cares care for after the scan or is that it?

I had my first scan at 6w2 at Care and I was then discharged.
Next scan was the 12w NHS scan.

My first scan is on 20th and the nurse today said I'd have another one after that before being discharged (all being well!).

Yes jaybee246 that's true, it depends on the clinic. Which clinic are you at? I was at Care Nottingham.
Roll on 17th Feb, I bet you can't wait!!!
AFM yes I am 11 weeks pregnant with a natural miracle!!!! I've already had 4 scans and I have my 12 weeks scan next week  I don't live in the UK anymore and the country where I live does more scans than in the UK, and I've had some more because of brown discharge. |

Im at Npton Cinnamon.
Wow a natural miracle! How wonderful! And you,re first lil one was ICSI then? Was that you,re only IvF treatment? Cant believe you,ve already had 4 scans! Where u live must be much more on the ball than the UK!
I cant wait until the 17th,just want to know all is ok and im really hoping I have another scan before the 12 weeks as that seems so long to wait in between!!

So let's hope Northampton does 2 scans before discharging you!
Yes I still can't believe that I'm pregnant with a natural miracle!!! Emma is a result of an ICSI. It was my first attempt at Care but I had already tried before elsewhere (Switzerland).
Yes, I know I'm lucky not to have to wait too long before two scans I live in Switzerland. |

I bet its beautiful in Switzerland! I also had ICSI cycle before that didnt work and now this cycle with FET which im so far so good!
Got a letter from Care today saying they are doing the scan on the 17th and doesnt say about another one but I guess they will see what this one says first. Gosh i cant wait!! xxx |

Yes, Switzerland is beautiful but very expensive as well! But it's a good destination for holiday and for skiing during the winter!
How many embryos did they put back? You might have twins?!?!?
I've never received any letter confirming the scan date, but maybe it has changed, for me it was 3 years ago.
I bet you are counting days left before 17th I'm counting days before my 12 weeks scan
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? All I have is morning sickness but it has started at about 8-9 weeks. Nothing before that! |

Hey again, I had one put back as the others didnt make the thaw, but looks like the lone one was a lil fighter! Defo counting down the days......
Im just a lot more tired at the min and feeling sicky every now and again. Still got the sore boobs and the tummy pains on and off that ive had all the way along but thats prob the meds.xx
Whens you,re scan? Have you told anyone yet? I think we will wait until the 12 weeks just to be sure its all ok. |

I'm sorry to hear that only one made the thaw... But this one is a winner!!!!!!
Oh yes that's true, the meds can make you have some sort of symptoms!
My scan is next Monday. We've told our parents yet and I had to tell my boss as well as I've been off sick for nearly a month now. |

We havent told anyone yet as I think I will have the scan and go from there. My other half wants to wait until the 12 weeks but wether we can keep in inside until then!
Not long to wait for you,re scan now then! Bet you cant wait!
Have you found you have been having some stitch like pains? I keep getting them in my left side and now they,ve moved to the top of my right side! Weird! |

The waiting is awful isnt it!!! I feel the same Im scared stiff! Im sure you,ll be ok you are quite far along now and if something was wrong Im sure you,d know by now!
have you done any other pregnacy tests? I think Im guna test every week until I feel safe enough to belieive it! ( which will prob be at 39 weeks!lol!) |

Oh yes, the waiting is awful! And I shouldn't complain as my last scan was less than 2 weeks ago!
I was quite good with pregnancy tests and only tested twice Pregnancy tests are soooooooo expensive here in Switzerland!!! I think that's why I haven't bought more than a pack of two (which was the equivalent of £ 18!!!) |

Ouch!!! Gosh that is expensive,the clearblue digital here are two for about £11 so thats a big jump!! Well I tested last sat so I think I will test this sat or sun then hopefully it will say Ive moved on a week!
What made you want to move there? I would love to get out of the UK but not sure where too! |

| I'm swiss and my husband as well. He couldn't find a job here in Switzerland after his PhD and that's why we moved to the UK. We stayed in the UK during 5 years and last year we came back to our country |

I'm glad to have moved back to be able to see my family as often as I want and also it's good for Emma to be closer to her grandparents.
But I admit that I miss the Uk for loads of thinks, like supermarkets open 24/7, shops open on Sundays, less working hours per week, some food, and for the winter weather which is not that cold in the UK! And I'm sure I forget a lot of things |
