Hi girls
Hope everyone is ok and welcome to JEP. This is the hardest time but I have now decided to wit till my OTD to test as don't want any false readings. Not long for me now 3 more sleeps. I sound like a kid at Christmas and hopefully I have been a good girl and will get what I want.
I am trying to send positive vibes to all including me and hope this two week wait is not too stressful for anyone. I have been off work for the whole time and just resting and relaxing but that does also give you more time to keep thinking so not sure what is best.
Hope all are feeling well I also have been trying not to symptom spot can drive you mad if you do.
Take care all xx |

Not long for you now chick! Hope your belly is really big & beautiful with your little bambino being good inside & growing nicely! Really really big lorry loads of luck for you. Let me know how you get on!
I really hope the fact you had a BFP on your first cycle spurs on some positive vibes for others too!

Wanna - think waiting your 3 days is the best plan - not long now! Just try & make the most of your remaining days until you get your BFP - imagine then when you go back to work and you wish you were relaxing at home reading trashy magazines! It will fly by I'm sure then you'll have some great news to give the rest of us a boost!

Hi ladies,
Love the status list Wendy, I'd never have been able to remember from the various posts.
Cookiedough/WendyThank you for the BFP/N translation, I'd grasped the positive / negative bit but would never have guessed the rest!
EC today was ok, 7 eggs collected so wait + see now. Best guess will be officially joining you ladies on the 2WW on tuesday

| Fingers crossed you get lots of fabulous embies MissT, this bit is hard too, it's all waiting with this process isn't it. Glad you will be officially joining us in the 2ww on Tuesday. Do you have a preference of how many to transfer? X |

Was thinking definately 2 perhaps 3 (as age allows) suppose it depends on how strong the embies are??? I wasn't sure what to make of 7 eggs, is that sufficient to get through the next couple of days??? The Care team were quite positive, they assured me they look for quality not quantity

| My turn to return to positivity. I had 6 eggs. All of them fertilised and 3 were good enough to transfer (though I was only allowed to transfer 2) So yes you have plenty to Get through the next few day . How come you could transfer 3? X |

I turned 40 in summer, as much as I'd like to deny it!!!! so i think based on my age 3 embie transfer is an option?
Thanks for the reassurance, i wasn't sure how 7 stacked up. As you say just waiting game now

Hey MissT just to reassure you further, i only had 4 eggs collected - all fertilised and i had 3 on transfer day (day 5) so the one department at CARE i have real faith inn is the embryology department!
3 sounds like a plan - might as well take what you can get! |

Goodness me ladies, I've missed loads today! Lol. I don't get to post as much at the weekend as getting the laptop out is not to be done lightly with a 2 year old in the house!
Welcome to JEP, lovely to have you with us. Your first cycle sounds a bit similar to my first cycle, although I didn't get as far as you. I had a BFP, but had tested early because I started spotting. Within a week it had turned to full bleed. I had a HCG blood test done at Care which was quite high, but not as high as it should have been and they did a scan at 6 weeks but there was nothing there unfortunately, so I'd miscarried. It's horrible isn't it, because you get so excited to have a BFP only to have the rug taken from under your feet. When I got pregnant with Theo on my 2nd cycle I went for a private scan at 9 weeks just for my own peace of mind and then went back at 10 weeks as I had a bleed (clots and the lot), but all was ok. I didn't really stop worrying until after I'd had my 12 week nuchal scan. So, it can work and as trite as it sounds, it's a positive thing that you've had a positive result before, even though it ended badly. Hugs.
Wannabamummy, good for you for making a decision. Hope you've had a lovely day with your DH for his birthday.
Miss T, ah yes the status list, I am a bit of a list person! I find it easier than trying to remember where everyone is, as everyone's brains go a bit fuzzy in this time! Great news on your EC. I only got 7 eggs on my cycle with Theo, so it's a good thing (plus I was only 34 then). I got 9 eggs this time, but only 5 fertilised (using young buck donor sperm so no need for ICSI as such), one had a double yolk though (wierd I know!) so they couldn't use that. I only got 1 good embie by day 3 and the other 3 weren't good enough to freeze, so it's definitely quality over quantity. Hope you get enough embryos to help you decide on the 2/3 dilema. I was adamant this time I wanted a single embryo transfer, as I'm on my own and didn't really want to risk twins, all sorts of reasons, not least because I'd probably go bonkers if I had a toddler and 2 babies to look after on my own. Just as well really as i only had 1 worth transferring! lol
Aygirl, as for the embryology dept, I do have faith in them, but some of the embryologists definitely need some lessons in interpersonal skills. The one the day of my ET was very dismissive about my 3 embryos that hadn't made it.
Hello to everyone else, I need to remember who everyone is!
I've put the list on my first post, so will update that when we have our first news on Tuesday!!!

Had a great day yesterday for DH's birthday really took my mind of things for a little while. Miss T 7 embies is plenty I had 6 with 5 fertilised so it is quality rather than quantity and I am sure you will be starting your 2 ww on Tuesday.
Hope eveyone else is ok and thinking positive thoughts. I have two more sleeps left and am excited and nervous all rolled into one but glad I have decided to wait until OTD.
Wendy I hope when you update status on Tuesday I will b the first of many BFP's for this thread. Positive vibes being sent to everyone.

Hi lala, sorry to hear yOur having a crap day today. Good idea about calling one of the nurses. I have read loads of posts where this happens and ladies go on to have bfp. Would probably advise against testing though as its still a few days off your otd.
Wannabamummy glad you had a good day yesterday and that you have decided to hang on until otd
Wendy thanks for sorting out and looking after the list
I'm feeling low today too. I have horrid heart burn ( well I think that's what it is) had it since last night and no better this morning. Does anyone know what I can take to help relieve it? Also do you think it's just side effects of the progesterone pressies? Xx |

Lala - I know you must be shitting yourself but please try not to worry. I don't know if you've been following Haynes on one of the other threads? She had a few days of bleeding and still had brill news and saw a heart beat on the scan. If you do test early & it's negative you will still need to test on otd anyway so hard as it is I would hold off testing if possible chick.
Thinking of you lots, I know how horrible you must feel

lala - i have small amount of discomfort - wouldnt call it pain and a heavy feeling which comes and goes. Where you able to get through to a nurse? I wasnt sure if there would be anyone to answer at the weekend!
Its just so bloody hard isnt it! You put all your hopes into it and the slightest thing knocks you off track!! |

Wannabamummy, gosh only 2 sleeps left, I bet you've set your alarm for about 5am on 21st! Don't forget to pee in a pot! lol Glad you had a nice day with DH.
Lala and Aygirl, sorry you're both having spotting. Some people are just bleeders (sorry I mean that in the actual bleeding sense, not swearing! lol). It's not over until the fat lady sings and I aint singing yet!!! Just take it easy.
Cookiedough, sorry you're having a down day too. I get occasional heartburn and terrible wind with the pessaries. Sorry if TMI. I often have to have a good burp and bottom wind (again, sorry if TMI!) and that sometimes relieves it. You can take gaviscon (when I was pregnant with my son I got Doctor to prescribe it as you get free prescriptions when you're pregnant, so it was free), if you're unsure go and ask a pharmacist. I'm not sure it every used to do much for me though...
Kerrie, JEP and MissT hope you're all ok too (hope I've not missed anyone).
I'm ok, had a nice weekend, went to see my aunty today (she's in a hospice with terminal cancer, so a bit grim, but she loves to see Theo), then went for lunch with my parents afterwards. Certainly not a relaxing weekend! I tell you, I will be amazed if this embryo sticks with all the picking up and kicking it's been subjected to. My son doesn't care if he's bashing me and has a tendency to throw himself off furniture etc in a blindly trusting way knowing that I'll catch him. I've had a few mild pains in my stomach, which could just be the ovaries settling down after EC, or it maybe me just thinking about things too much!
Right best get off. Started writing this post about 2 hours ago! lol
