VIP - glad that you are heading in the right direction again, though sad that it wasn't easier to resolve.

Wish I had lovely nails again - mine haven't been painted in 2 years now! Perhaps I should donate my Chanel polish collection to you.

Have a lovely weekend as you rev up for your FET. Don't forget that frosties rule!

p.s. Caroline, I've no idea how many years it is since I painted my nails - so long that I don't think I even own nail varnish!

Hello LL's,
Hope you are all well on this glorious Friday afternoon.

Wendy - hope the 2WW is not too difficult. Have you tested yet??

VIP - hope you are recovering well and enjoying your pampering weekend.

Reds - glad the black cross is off the door. Ours is too.

Maryrose - hope you are doing ok and life is a little less chaotic and stressful

Emma - hope the antib's are doing their work. Remember that they kill all the good bacteria as well as the bad so try taking something like Actimel or Yakult to stock up on some good bacteria. I sound like your mum, sorry! It's just that i've found that works well for me if I take them. Please dont worry about your gorgeous boy. About 2 or 3 weeks after I brought Jenna home Rory's behaviour was truly awful. He managed to reduce his hormone filled mum to tears on a couple of occasions. They just need time to adjust. It's a big change from being an only one with everybodies full attention to having to share it all. Big hugs. It does get better and it wont take long x

Amanda - great news on your scan.

Caroline - I cant remember when I last painted my nails either. Seems a waste as they are always in some form of water washing something or other!

Jo - hope you enjoy having your visitors and that the boys are kinder to you this weekend.

Possum - hope Jack is feeling better and yourself. They like to share these kids, dont they?!

Nicster - hope you're ok and you have your results back.

Love to everyone I havent mentioned.

Well, we are currently bug free (touch wood). I took friday and monday off work so that they could get back to full health. Jenna suffered worst with the hand, foot and mouth. I think Rory was just milking it for the sympathy! She's ok now though and back at nursery causing mayhem.
From being me on my own last weekend we have everybody visiting this weekend. It's all or nothing isnt it?
I have an action packed afternoon ahead. I then need to go and collect the cat as he has been for his bits off this morning. I'm sure I will be ever so popular with him when I pick him up. When I saw him getting amorous with one of Rory's teddy's last week I knew it was time for him to go and lose them!

Well, better go and do some work.
Love to all.
Jacquie x

Hi LL's

Vip - hope you are ok. Sending you lots of love.

Wendy - PMA! PMA!

Emms - my Blackberry pin is 260507E6. Anyone else on BBM please feel free to add me. ID is Racheypops!

Everything is ok here. On my own for the weekend as DH has made his monthly trip southwards. Been to see a new nursery today and just not sure. I think that a not sure means no!

Oooh, Jacquie, your cat is going to hate you! He won't know what's hit him...except that teddy bears won't look so appealing. Too funny. Poor kitty! At least you won't have to worry about him fighting so much now, too.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Lots of love,
Edenrose xxx

Morning ladies,

Gosh it's quiet on here at the minute. Anybody got anything nice planned for the weekend ? I've got to do food shopping and tackle a flat pack unit from Ikea, so definately nothing exciting for me.

Had my thyroid results from care yesterday, it's gone down to 1.9 so that's good news. Hopefully my fet will def be mid to end of march x

Lots of love to everyone.

Thanks flossy! I think you're right if you're not sure about nursery go with your instinct.

Nicster nothing much planned here. Going to go to shops soon and buy bulk pee sticks!

Caved in and tested today (9 days post 3 day transfer) and it's negative although I thought I could see a faint second line on one of those 10 iu pee sticks. Might just be willing it to be there though...

Love to all

Morning Nicster ... I'm still here lurking about.

Great news about your TSH level ... so you are now good to go ... good luck with your cycle!

Wendy - hope you are bearing up well to the 2ww ... when is your OTD?

Jacquie - your post about your frisky made me giggle ... I'd like to say that I feel sorry for him having his bits removed, but I'm not! (Sorry!)

Love,

Wendy - just missed your post.

For goodness' sake ... if you have caved in, then test with a good brand of pee-stick, and none of the cheap rubbish! Go and get a couple of First Response Early Result.

Good luck!

Good Girl!

So, I would treat your cheap test as 'null and void'!

Keep positive ... if you could see a faint something on the cheap pee-stick (whether imaginary or not) ... there is still every chance of a BFP!

Morning all,

Nice to see some of you up and about.

Wendy, ignore those negative tests and keep positive. How are you finding the 2ww?

Maple, morning to you! Hope you have a nice weekend planned with your man.
I had to giggle at you telling Wendy off Smile

Nicster, great news you'll be having your fet soon. I bet you're excited. Goodluck with the flatpack...I hate them!

Jaquie, glad to hear the kiddies are better. Sounds like you'll be having a busy weekend. Enjoy! Hope pussy cat is recovering well..

Flossy, Hi! Hope all is well. That photo of Floyd on the beach on fb is just gorgeous. He's grown so much!

Maryrose, how are you? I hope your weekend isn't too busy so you can find some 'me' time.

Hope everyone else is well. Glad to hear some of you are enjoying some warmer weather...I hope it lasts til at least the end of the weekend.

Love to all,
xx Possum

OMG Wendy! Talk about keep us in suspense! LOL

I was rumaging about in some drawers the other day, looking for the memory cards for the camera and I found the internet ones I used for Olly. The empty packet I mean!

I think I tested on day 9 [will work it out] post 2 day transfer and there was the faintest of faint lines. Took about 3 mins for it to appear. Next day was about the same and then, on day 11 it was definitely visible.
You won't be imagining it, hun.

Really excited for you now. Love Maryrose xxx

Morning all,

Been up since 6.30 with a very rare burst of energy, so have cleaned the kitchen, done 2 loads of washing and tidied the rest of the house. DH still snoring in bed! Was about to start tackling the ironing pile, but now knackered again, so might go back to bed! Oh, well. Most of it is stuff I haven't ironed since last year so it won't fit anymore anyway. Might just shove the whole lot in a box under the bed and be done with it!

Great to hear from you Flossy and your gorgeous wee boy is still a heartbreaker! Hope Wales is suiting you x

Wendy - Waaaaaay too early to be making your mind up either way. Maybe do one FRER tomorrow and then wait a couple of days either way? I've still got good feelings x

Nicster, I'm a flat-pack queen! I love them! I've stopped or started to wean off my drugs today, so am going to rootle through my drug pile later. I might have some leftovers you could use for your FET depending on your regime? I've promised some of them to Vip already, but I have some she doesn't use, so will give you first refusal, as I think you're next to cycle? Maybe they'll bring you luck!

Possum - dunno about "warm" weather. Think "not cold" would be a better description, lol. Still a definate lack of sunshine. I'd rather sunny and cold, I think. Still, we're never happy with the weather, are we??!!??!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Amanda x

Wow wendy, I'd say that's a very very optimistic start, trust me as someone who has done alot of negative pregnancy tests, if there's no line there there's no line there no matter how much you squint so I'd say if you've seen a faint line then we can be quietly optimistic, ooh I'm getting all excited for you now x

Morning maple, thanks, yes I'm really pleased the thyroid levels have come down, just hope that was the missing link. I'm very nervous though because I no this is last chance saloon.

Hi possum, good to hear from you, yes I'm very excited but very very nervous, I think because I've had so many failed attempts I darent even imagine it might work. Weve had the flat pack a week now and dp hasnt been near it so I figure if I start to put it together then macho pride will get in the way and he will take over, that's the theory anyway !

Just worked it out and it was day 10, if you include the day of transfer and the day I tested. So 9 to 10, I suppose.
Those tests are to detect 10iu too. Sorry Maple, but I found First Response picked it up slower.

Love to all from Maryrose xxx

Morning Amanda, think our posts crossed. Wow sounds like youve had a busy Morning, think I could do with a bit of your energy and your enthusiasm for flat pack furniture ! I hate it x thanks ever so much for the offer of the drugs I've only been prescribed oestradol valerate - progynova - 2mg and utrogeston, not sure if you saw my post last week that all my level 1's had come back ok so apart from the thyroxine that's all I need x

Morning maryrose x how's things with you at the minute ? Any calmer ? X

Heehee ... Maryrose ... for me those cheapie internet ones are just so rubbish for both ovulation and pregnancy tests. I used to have to do about half of them each day and each one gave a different 'answer'!!! I just couldn't trust them. False economy in my case!

For the ovulation ones, they miss on the 2 days leading up to ovulation (and only showed faint lines on the day of ovulation). Likewise, the pregnancy ones, only showed much nearer the OTD.

I'm sure they skim on the dye which makes the second line appear!!!

Wendy, you naughty bunny! A faint line is a faint line, no matter how cheap the pee stick... I have a good feeling for you. OOOOOOH! Hang in there! Get some good pee sticks (I'm a FR believer, too, I'm afraid) and ration yourself to one a day from here on out. When is your official OTD?

Amanda, you've got the nesting bug, for sure! I opened one eye at 6am this morning, realized it was Saturday, and closed it quickly... Ah, snoozefest. I slept until 8am. Luxury. Then DH brought me tea in bed (usually it's the other way around because I get up early for work!). DH has promised to take me to the garden center today for rose fertilizer and then I'm going to prune my climbers and get them in shape for spring. I must be middle-aged, because the prospect makes me very, very happy!

AFM, I had a great chat with DH last night about DE, and we are feeling so clear and positive about this topic now, I can hardly believe it... DH actually thanked me for being so strong -- and staying focused, despite the heartbreak and disappointment I've experienced since learning of my genetic disorder. I feel sure, now, that we'll hear of a really, really good donor soon. We're ready.

Love and hugs to all,

Edenrose xxx

Not really got time to come on, but just quickly...

Edenrose - that is such great news. Men are soooooo odd. Takes them ages to come round to an idea, sometimes. Dh was totally opposed to DE and then ended up thanking me for persevering, when we had Olly!

Maple - The ones I had were Acon and I found them very reliable. Never used them of ov. though.

Nicster - Hmm, thanks for asking... Lots happening here. I have set the 1st bit of my plan into motion, which brings me on to.........

Rachel - I got Dh to do the Wired test for adults with ASC!!!........
More later. It was an eye opener in more ways than 1!

Sorry can't post to everyone, but back soon. Love Maryrose xxx

Wendy, I have a very good feeling. You wouldn't be able to see a hint of a line on a negative test. I remember squinting so hard trying to see something that wasn't there! Get a decent test and try again tomorrow Smile

I still have my pee sticks showing my positive line. They are in F's memory box.

Possum, thanks so much. He's growing up so much and I see changes of some sort everyday, whether is new words or trying to do something new.

Amanda, Wales is fab! The weather here has been great since we moved in October and even the cold days were nothing like the chill we experienced in Lancashire. We know all our neighbours now and they are all lovely. I am really looking forward to spring and summer!

Maryrose - been reading of your struggles. I have my opinions about what I'd do in your situation re your DH but I don't think it's helpful. You know what life is like and what you can and can't do. I hope you can find a balance that keeps you happy. You sound so harried and stressed in your posts. That can't be good for you.

Edenrose - Being ready is the key and I'm sure that you'll find that donor soon! So many times in life it's been when I've been totally ready for the change or event that it happened.

Hello to everyone else and I've been reading.

My close friend had her second baby this week. I feel very happy for her but also very sad for me. Also heard my SIL is thinking about going for number 4. I've been taking care of myself and have hidden people on FB who are having their second and broadcasting every second of their pregnancy - and I really do mean every second! I do feel different about IVF ladies though as I can identify with the struggle.

F is doing fine, he had his developmental assessment and scored well across the criteria, his self care and locomotion skills are advanced, the rest in line with his age. The important thing was nothing below where it should be. The HV said that he is an excitable lad but she couldn't see anything of concern as once he calms down from the excitement of the new visitor he plays and gets on with things and spent some time colouring in etc. She also mentioned that if it was ADD or ADHD we'd have sleep problems and we don't. He's an angel at bedtime and also in the morning, he'll play quite happily for ages. He was putting nappies on his toys yesterday!
