Hi everyone,
I've just entered the 2WW and had 2 embryos transferred.
I had a 3 day transfer and one embie 6 cell and one embie 8 cell, both had fragmentation and more than embryologist would have liked but they advised they fragmentation is normal!
I'm now panicking thinking they won't be good enough and not sure how I will get through the next 2 weeks!!!
Has anyone had success stories u can share to lift my spirits.
Thanks
Nuggett x |

Congratulations on being
What grades were they Nugget? Most embies have some fragmentation & that is generally what determines what grade they are.

Ok, bit weird but every clinic is different I suppose!
Mine were grade 2 & had some fragmentation & I got a BFP last week, I also know of ladies having grade 3's & getting BFP's.
Good Luck

| That is weird. I only had one embryo and they still graded it. Mine was Grade 3 so lots of fragmentation, but there is always a chance so fingers crossed xx |

I had 2 grade 3s (day 2, one was 2 cell and one was 3 cell) and they both had fragmentation, but one of them is now nearly 2 and a half! I think grading and fragmentation are more issues when you are considering freezing embryos, rather than on a fresh cycle. On both my previous cycles my embies never looked particularly good, but I had BFP both times (1st time didn't work out).
I've known ladies have grade 1 embryos, lots of cells, no fragmentation and still not had BFP, so it's just the luck of the draw I'm afraid!
Good luck in the 2ww. Hope to be joining you sometime next week.

I have to say this is the longest 2 weeks of my life!! i've had a lot of cramping and convinced its game over.
Hope your embryo transfer goes ok

Cramping isn't necessarily a bad thing, it could be implantation or any number of things. Plus your ovaries are likely to still be sore from EC, so that could be part of it.
As for embryo transfer, I've got to get some embryos first! Hopefully EC will be early next week and ET towards the end of the week.
I found that the first week of the 2ww wasn't too bad, but the 2nd week was always the killer and I was never patient enough to get to OTD! lol

Nugget, I think I tested about 11 days past ET (on a day 2 transfer), so about 5 days before OTD. Just be careful though as I do know some women don't test positive until OTD, so if you do test and it's negative try not to worry! Exciting though.

I know what you mean, it's a tough one. I've always been too impatient though!! I'm hoping to get a few eggs, I'm just hoping I get at least one embryo to transfer, that's the main thing!
You won't have any finger nails left by next week!

A specialist once said - there are healthy children in the world today which were born of poor quality embryos.
Never lose hope!
Best of luck x |

All i want.... yes it worked! got a BFP and had my 6 week scan and saw a wonderful little heartbeat.
To be honest i wasn't very hopeful as there was quite a bit of fragmentation...but that doesn't seem to have mattered!!
Got my 8 wk scan next week and hopefully discharged from care.
Best of luck, when is your OTD?? I'll keep an eye out for your result!

I know its really hard but try now to worry! |

they didn't grade my embryos, apparantly cos we only had 2 and we weren't freezing them!
I had a 6 cell and 8 cell with loads of fragmentations so i guess it would have been a grade 3 (was trying to compare pictures on the internet to my picture)
Had them both transferred on day 3! |

| Sounds simlar to mine , mine was 9 cell , not loads of fragmenting but I'd say a good 1/4 . |
