Hi ladies

Hope you're all doing really well this fine Tuesday!

Redward - hope all's well. A bit worried at not having heard from you but hoping this is just because you are too busy enjoying your scan results and sharing the moment with friends and family! Smile

Ruby - you poor thing. I have nightmares about children doing stuff like that. I know kids will be kids and all that but I think I would freak out. I hate that kind of thoughtless careless behaviour. During my first IVF I was virtually flung across the room by one of my bigger stepsons and I was devastated but, actually, I did get a bfp that cycle. It was only much later it went away and so not connected at all. But it didn't half worry me at the time. Like Helena says, our fetuses/embies are much more resilient than we think. They're wrapped up snug deep inside you, in their own little jacuzzi, so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. I hope you're okay.

Vic - sorry to hear the nausea's building. It sounds a lot like what I've experienced. Mine's been quite on and off, so you might feel okay later. I found that grazing and regular snacks help and getting lots of sleep too. It's a good sign that things are going well, though. Smile

Thanks Helena - I'm not doing too badly now, although still nervous. Hope your nausea isn't getting to you too badly. See above for what works for me.

AFM, the brown blood has 100% gone, which is a bit reassuring. It's been well over 24 hours now and I only saw it about three times when I wiped after going to the loo, so there was only a tiny, tiny amount. I'm starting to feel a bit better about things now but am still terrified about my scan tomorrow and have no idea if the baby is all right. Still feeling a bit sick and very, very tired, but also aware that the hcg hangs around in your system for a while. Hoping and praying that all's well tomorrow but I know I'll be such a wreck in the morning :/ Still, I'm officially 9 weeks pregnant today, so that's another milestone. If baby does look fine tomorrow then I can hopefully relax a bit and begin to enjoy the pregnancy. If not, at least I know. Sad

Good luck for tomorrow Golf Girl. Hope you're holding up ok!

Niki xxx

Oh Niki I'm crossing everything for you - my gut tells me all will be well!

Yes I'm grazing all day long (virtually) - slept lots over the weekend but work fulltime so try and head for early nights. I have grapes, cherry tomatoes, ritz crackers, philadelphia cheese and lemonade on my desk at work. Oh and a bar of chocolate in my bag. Spot the pregnant lady!!!

Hi ladies, sorry have not been on for a few days. Niki - sorry to hear you're having an uncertain time of it.

Thank you all for your thoughts - well, I caved and had a scan at a private clinic on Friday night. It showed 2 gestational sacs with no clear embryos or yolk sacs. At one point she thought she could see a third sac in my ovary, but then changed her mind. No heartbeats. They were not bothered about it, said it was too early (I was 7+3) and just said come back in a week. One measured 9mm and the other 6mm. At one point the sonographer asked me if I felt sick?! As I thought only 50% of women suffer from sickness during pregnancy, I wasn't sure what bearing that had on things Rolling Eyes

We have been beside ourselves ever since. We were too shocked to ask any meaningful questions. I rang Care and they told me I have to wait until my scan tomorrow.

I am holding on to a little bit of hope that our embryos (Stan and Olly) are just a bit lazy (like their Daddy!). The clinic I was at did not seem to have experience of IVF patients and I wish we had just waited until the Care scan now - it hadn't occurred to me that we might come away from there not knowing either way.

Sorry to put a bit of a downer on this lovely thread. Will update again after tomorrow's scan.
Niki will be thinking of you tomorrow, and Redward, really hoping that all was ok for you yesterday.

Thanks Helena and Hobbit. Yes, scan was internal. But I have read that it can depend on the equipment and the sonographer amongst other things.

Clinging on to the hope. Got awful tummy cramps tonight - not period pain though, like I'm about to have really bad diarrhoea.
Happy days!

Hi Golfgirl

So sorry to hear you've had a stressful time and still don't know what's going on. I hope you get some answers at Care tomorrow. What time's your scan? I'm in early, again, at 9:40. Let's hope we both hear something encouraging. I've heard the same about scanning and sonographers so hopefully it's just a blip. Sorry you're feeling crampy too - that never helps. But I've had aches and pains all the way through - it's not necessarily a bad sign. In fact, I started to worry when the pains eased off a bit and I'm still not sure about this...

Merague - we haven't heard from you for ages. Have you managed to get in for your second scan? I hope everything is okay.

Hi Steph and Helena - thanks for your support. Hope you're both doing well.

Redward, hope you are okay.

GG - will be keeping everything crossed for Stan and Olly tomorrow. Not to mention Bob of course Smile

Hi GG

I have been following your progress and I hope everything goes well for tomorrow scan and Friday scan was just a blip and you have got twins how exciting.

Rosey and Redward Congratulations and all the best for the future.

I have got my review on the 3rd of April to see when I can start my frozen round but if they don't work out, DH and I have decided not to have another fresh IVF and we are going to look into adoption

Good luck Niki and GG for tomorrows scans hope everything goes well for you both and GG I hope the last scan was just a blip.

Ruby can understand the worry but I am sure your embie is stronger than you think all snuggled up inside you.

Congrats Redward I think we were all getting a bit worried about you so glad everything went ok.

I have been getting bad headaches over the last couple of days and therefore not been on not sure if it is dehydration or anything else or nothing related at all. Has anyone else suffered like this.

I have my 12 week scan booked for 25th April which seems an eternity away more waiting and the consultant on 3rd of May. Has anyone else got any other appointments.

Hi Everyone,

Ruby - I'm a great believer in "they're more robust than we give them credit for"! (doesn't stop me worrying about other stuff mind you LOL) Hope you're feeling okay now Smile

Niki and GG good luck for tomorrow hope you both get lovely pics. I was having a think about scans and can say hand on heart that my CARE scans have been much more crystal clear than any others I have had (and I've managed a few at various stages!!) I reckon they have the best machines coz they have so much money LOL

Redward congrats on your result, glad you got on to tell us, as you can tell none of us is very patient Smile

Wanna - Oooh 12 week scan booked fab news!!

I got an appt through to see my consultant on friday, which i think is to be dated in order to get referred for the CVS. I have had a wobble over the last 24 hours and I have no idea why! I think I just got myself worked up LOL I seriously considered a private scan ........... Think it's probably because we're getting to the stage i got to before after having a scan at 9 weeks with everything okay and then to find out at 11+2 that it was all wrong!! HOWEVER I dug out my Doppler earlier and whilst I couldn't hear anything the digital display popped up with 120 - 148 a few times and I'm assuming that wasn't me!!!!!!! 10 weeks today so it's a bit early but you never know Smile

Anyway ladies I'm off to get my beauty sleep as i turn 40 tomorrow and I need it LOL

Hi to eveyone else I hope you're all doing great

Steph xx

Good luck to GG and niki for tmrw - I have everything crossed for u both that it goes well

Wanna - no sign of headaches but have been very thirsty and drinking many more cold drinks than before, which I thought was prob a hydration thing

Re your appmts, did u get both from your midwife? Will u be exactly 12wks at your scan? Sorry for questions but I'm just trying to work out what might happen after my midwife appmt on Mon. It's all a bit confusing at the moment!

Congrats Redward, so happy for you!

Thinking of Niki and GG today, and good luck to Kim for Fri. If I've missed anyone, trust me I'm crossing everything for all of you!

When I read these posts, I am so glad that what I am feeling is NORMAL. Every tweek you wonder what's going on, if my nausea stops I worry what's going on, I feel crampy sometimes and think it's my AF arriving (I believe it's linked to the uterus stretching). Does my head in!!!

Miss T, I find the ONLY thing that helps with the nausea is grazing. I am having to eat something every hour I think and if I don't I feel worse.

Jess, I am thinking of you for the next step and whichever way you choose to become a Mummy, believe that it's meant to be. I wish you every success,

Love
H xx

Hi Ladies

And Happy Birthday Steph! Hope you're having a fab day and getting spoiled rotten. Smile

Wanna - I've not been getting headaches but I'm sure I read somewhere that some ladies do. There seem to be so many possible aches, pains and changes that I'd put anything at all I couldn't explain down to pregnancy, I think. It might be dehydration. Great news that you have the scan date through - annoying that you have to wait so long. Like you say, this whole thing feels like one wait after the next!

Vic - I'm also drinking a lot and much more thirsty than usual. It must be normal, I guess. Your body's retaining lots of fluid and all that.

Kim Jane - it's a good sign if the sac's growing and still early for a heartbeat. Will be keeping everything crossed for you. Like Steph says, they could be late implanters.

Golf girl - will be thinking of you this afternoon. I hope you have a better scan experience today.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Frankly, I'm terrified this morning. I honestly have no idea which way it will go and would not be surprised by either outcome. I've been getting some very mild crampy feelings but I wouldn't really call them pains. Last night, I lost my pessary when I put it in. It was a really weird experience and I noticed that my insides seemed to have been completely rearranged (sorry TMI!) but can't work out if that's a good sign or not! My appointment's in half an hour so we'll find out soon enough. Eeek!

Hey Helena - I think our posts crossed. Hi to you too! I know what you mean about analysing every ache or twinge and, yes, I guess it's normal. Pain in the neck tho! Lol. Hope you're doing well today. xxx
