Hello Katy,
Yay another little princess, many congratulations what a lovely weight and gorgeous name. Sounds as though you had a very eventful labour so pleased it all turned out well in the end, well done. I hope you get plenty of rest. Take care big hugs.
Bunny- thanks for your reply hun its really helped to get such great support. I have tried swaddling her today and so far so good she actually settled herself to sleep in her chair. I will also try baby massage to see if that helps further. I think us parents are necessarily harsh on ourselfs. Thanks again.
Tazzy- let's hope your pains are helping things in the right direction, not long now.....not many babies left. I think so far its 3 boys and 5 girls how exciting

| Congratulations Katy. You really have been through it. You will soon forget. Watch the numbness mine took ages to get back to full sensation. Get as much support as you can its hard bf after c section. Best for me and B on our sides. Good luck. Enjoy those spring/summer walks. Don't expect too much at first. I struggled with our silver cross. X |

Katy congratulations, sorry it was so eventful, but glad she is safe amd sound, hope your not feeling too bad after your section. That's a lovely name for your little girl

Ridler, bless you, tell baby she is being evicted lol
Well Alice got weighed again today and is now 8lb 4oz so put on 11lb since Saturday, think she is going to be a chunk lol, been referred to the ophthalmologist as I noticed an orange smudge on her eye and she doesn't open that eye as well but me and her dad both have a lazy eye so that's prob all it is with a bit of jaundice
Anyway Alice is screaming at her dad so better go x |

Katie well done and congratulation. what a lovely name as well. I bet she is a little beauty. Sorry you had to experience an emergency c section. Dont do too much over the next few weeks at least, it can be hard, remembe you have had major surgery. Its easy to forget believe me. Im still recovring but things do get so much better.

Hi ladies,
Katie - huge congats on the safe, if not uneventful, arrival of ur baby girl. Wat a beautiful name as well.
Like the girls say rest up n take things as slow n easy as u can. Congrats n try rest up before they let u home.
Tazzy, ridler -hope ur feelin ok n not too uncomfy not long now for u both
Well georgia had her day 10 check up today n shes now up to 8lb 10oz think shes gonna be a chunk as well h! Ive replied on fb re her eye, try not to worry, easier said than done.
they also discharged us from the mw care as well so thats it, its drs or health vistor for weigh ins n any issues.
Off to try get lil one settled for n early nite,

Morning ladies, quick update from me, for those of you not on FB.
Katy, huge congratulations. As the others have said, take it easy and be good to yourself. True to form I had to keep up with you so I had a baby yesterday too!! Not to plan, just like you but no where near as traumatic I shouldn't think!!
I started contracting at home at half 3 yesterday morning, called DW at half 5 (when her alarm clock goes off) to ask her to make sure he had a bag packed and remembered the iPod and speakers so that if she had to come to the hospital straight from work we would have everything we needed.
At half 11, I had no idea how I was going to cope much longer so examined myself (possibly tmi sorry - perk of the job) and thought I was 3cm dilated. Phew - at least I am in labour I thought My plan then was to have a wee, call DW and set off for the hospital - I really needed to get in the pool as couldn't get comfy at all. Headed off to the toilet, had my wee followed by an overwhelming urge to push - bother! Called DW, headed back to the bedroom and delivered 25 mins later with no DW or Midwife in attendance.
Baby boy (no name) weighed 7lb 8oz and feeds like a dream. We are so delighted he is here and safe.
No personals this morning but will be back soon.

2 paracetamol earlier in the day. I was scared witless but it didn't make anyone arrive any quicker
DW was shocked to find us both lying there when she arrived but she is delighted we are both fit and well!

I don't believe it! That's amazing news Tare! I can't believe we delivered on the same day, that's so funny! Congratulations! What wonderful news. You are so brave - I would have gone to pieces in that situation. Was your mum with you or were you completely on your own? I am so glad everything went ok and that your little one is feeding well. It's a shame your dw missed his arrival in to the world, but it just goes to show these babies make their own timetables! Our babies have been brilliant at fitting in with the Easter holidays so your dw will have plenty of time to bond with him too. I can't wait to hear your choice of names!
M had a good night, we were feeding every hour and she was really good. She finally has found her voice but only when it's just me and her - she's as quiet as anything when other people are around! Right, I'm going to go - I started writing this at about 7.30 and have been here, there and everywhere all morning!

Awww...so nice 2 hear about all ur babies, am gettin well jealous now!
Just been 2 midwifes, baby is 3/5ths so going in the right direction, thank god! She's given my next appointment 4 wen I'm 41 weeks  said if I've not him by then will need 2 book induction or a membrane sweep.
Hope all babies and bumps r behavin!!

No such luck Hannah, I had app with consultant this morning, had internal exam and he could feel baby's head right down but he couldn't do a proper sweep as cervix was at the back, didn't really follow that??? I've another mw app Monday so he said they'd try and do a sweep then. Next app is Thursday, if not had baby they will book me in for an induction. Great news for Easter weekend!!!
Don't worry about dh, they find it really hard at first, I suppose it's a bit of a shock that they now come second in your affections, my dh struggled a lot with Austin esp when he cried so much, in fact it was him who ended up on mild anti depressants. He just felt so useless I think
Katy glad things are going well for you hun, and tare what amazing birth story you have. So brave I'm glad things went without complication. Hope your getting lots of support from your dw and family.

Tazzy - Glad things went well at the midwife. Hopefully won't be too much longer for you either!
Hannah - I'm still in hospital, can't wait to go home! How are things with Alice?
Tare - How are you doing? Any news on a name for your little man?
We're doing well, looking forward to going home now. Hopefully it'll be tomorrow! I've been up and about today and feel much better for it. Hubby is making the most of his time home alone - he's being dragged out by his mates to wet baby's head. Honestly, they are having to drag him out and I almost had to push him out of the hospital door to get him to go. Has fatherhood changed him?!? I doubt it'll last! 😉
Hope everyone's well and that remaining bumps get a wriggle on! Hope babies are still gorgeous and lovely as ever!

Morning ladies,
Tazzy, you should April fool everyone that your in labour lol, hope your not too bored and uncomfortable, hope you have a nice day to take your mind off the waiting. Hope this baby isn't going to be too late we need them to come out so we can plan our picnic lol
I am feeling very happy today. Starting my healthy eating and exorcise today, I weigh 13stone 6lb, and would like to be down to 12stone by my birthday, so 20lb to lose in 16 weeks, shouldn't be too hard. The sun is shining and I just had some lovely news, my cousin who is in 2ww due to test tomorrow got her BFP today am letting DH have a lie in as it's his last day off, he's only back for one week though. Anyway hope everyone has a great day xx |

Aww Tazzy, this last little bit of waiting is so frustrating, I hope you're not waiting too long now!
Hannah - how are you getting on? That's great news about your cousin! I hope everything goes well for her.

We got home yesterday - yay - and it's been full on. Dh has been brill and has taken on even more than before to help out. I feel so much better for being home and for having had some sleep!

Great news Katy your home at last with your little lady, it's easier at home especially if you've got lots of support. Things went better for me with my midwife. She managed a sweep and I'm now 1-2 cm so fingers crossed things will get going before Thursday
