Hey ladies,
Just after a little advice really. My OTD was last Sat, 24th and was BFN. I had no signs of af and was told to re-test on Tues, again BFN. Care told me to stop the meds (oestradol tablets & utrogestan pessaries)...didnt say anymore than that. My problem is, I just feel so different. I have never been pg before so cant say for definite but I really do feel pg. I dont like symptom spotting and know much of it could be caused by the meds or indeed my own imagination but I'm just so confused about whats going on. I just wish af would show up and put me out of my misery The only normal af symptom I have is extremely painful boobs. I stopped meds on Tues but still getting increased discharge, have lower back pain, extremely tired and have felt strange pains around my lower stomach area that dont feel like af or endo. I have had a sharp pain, on and off for a few days now and am worried about ectopic as that would explain the symptoms but bfn I would rather af turn up than go through the heartache of ectopic.
I know I am probably just clutching at straws but I cant shake this feeling and just want to know one way or another whats going on.
Any thoughts? Please feel free to be brutally honest!
Thanks ladies xx |

Tigger,
I would think about doing another test my lovely...possibly a late implanter? The only other thing is that the emotional roller coaster is enough to make anyone late, although unusual having stopped the dreaded pessaries. I know AF came for me at day 8, didn't even make it to OTD.
Even with a ectopic you should still get a BFP, then HCG may continue to go up, but not at normal rates. Could you call care? If pain is too much to bare could you visit A&E...they could perform a HCG, and possibly a scan if needed.
Take care

Hey Tigs, just wanted to tell you I know exactly how you feel. As you know, my OTD was just behind you on Wednesday and although we got a BFN and are due to re-test tomorrow, I also 'feel' different. I have had a few dizzy spells and also feel like AF is coming, then not coming, just like when I got my BFP before.
The toughest thing is that the drugs in our system seem to cause symptoms which replicate both AF and BFP and with us slightly mentally fragile (!) ladies, it's a complete mind trick!
Doing another HPT won't do any harm and as Dizzee says, if you had an ectopic then you'd get a BFP anyway. Hang in there and I'm sure AF will show up for us both eventually. Keep me posted how you get on x |

Thanks for the replies.
Melski, massive hugs hunni. I'm sorry I havent replied on our FET thread. It really is cruel. I think af is on her way now as I have suddenly got my normal pains and endo is being a real c*w today too so no doubt af will rock up sometime soon! I'm kinda glad as it means I can get out of limbo and try to figure out what to do next.
Sending every positive vibe your way hunni. Hope you are ok xxxxx |

I'm really sorry for how things turned out for you Tigger, but i think that you need to accept that it hasn't worked out this time
The whole IVF thing has really clarified the pregnancy markers and hCG would always be over a certain level by a certain number of days past fertilisation and you know exactly when that happened. Even with an ectopic it should come up on a HPT as they are very sensitive compared to the levels of hCG that occurs during even the very earlieist days of pregnancy.
I really hope that both of you are coping ok (hug) |

Thanks everyone. AF is now here, full flow and plenty of pain just to make sure I get the message! I have finally accepted that its over and nothing weird or wonderful is going on and I feel ok with it. Went and ordered my new car yesterday to make myself feel better
Big hugs Melski, have posted on our FET thread also. xx |

| Hey Tigs, just to let you know that my AF has arrived too, so not too long a wait in the end. Probably TMI, but very mucusy, which I presume is a result of the progesterone maybe... x |
