Hi everyone,

Ridler - That's good news, you're further on than I was after 8 hours on the drip! I really hope things start moving for you soon. You're so right about being home!

Tazzy - How are you feeing? It's not much longer to wait now. I got really swollen feet in the last few days, I think it was partly the heat last week, but I lived in flip flops while in hospital. If you haven't got some in your hospital bag I really appreciated having them to wear in the shower too, oh the joys of a shared bathroom!

Tare - How are you? How's you're little man? I can't wait to hear all about him when you have the time. Hope you're ok.

Hannah - How is Alice? Are you getting on ok?

I hope everyone else is getting on well.

We're getting on well here, M is gorgeous and is charming everyone who comes to visit her. I don't think we'll need to buy her any clothes until she's 18 at this rate, everyone has been so generous! I'm still feeling sore and very tired, but I suppose that's to be expected! We're going to see the midwife tomorrow. The one who visited yesterday was explaining to dh what we would expect to see in terms of nappies and he was overjoyed when he changed her last night to find a 'mustard yellow' nappy like she said to look for - the strange things new parents get excited over, eh?!? Bless him!

Right, well it's bedtime for us now.

Hope you're all ok!

Big hugs,
Katy x

evening ladies,

wel today DH went back to work and i was babysitting my 13 year old niece but i think it went well we get up and dressed and to our appointment for child tax credit ( or whatever its called) on time for 9am, not done much spent most the day on the sofa but did go for a walk with my cousin who got her scan date (18th) however for some reason i'm shattered. little monkey doesnt want to go to sleep so DH has taken her for a drive.

tare has a name for her little one now so ill give her a nudge to come on and let you know

katy i'm glad your home its so much nicer and easier plus you can sleep much better in your own bed without other people there, how is little maia doing? how are you finding breastfeeding?

anyway bed time for me, nighty night girlies xx

OMG - I can't believe I've missed all this excitement!

Tazzy - Hope everything goes well for you. Tuesday is obviously the day for waters to go! If you are induced and end up on the drip I totally recommend an epidural and my friend who is a midwife said that once she was on the drip she knew she'd need it - just keep an open mind about pain relief. Gas and air is fab, so make use of it! I found the tens irritating as the pads kept getting stuck to the bed sheets every time I moved, but it helped at first. Eee, I'm so excited for you!!!

Ridler - Congratulations! I can't wait to hear all about your little girl.

Tare - What a great name! When is your first weigh in? Has your midwife visited? How are you feeling? Hope all is ok with you.

Angie -How are you? Hope you're feeling ok.

Hannah - How are you getting on? I bet dh is missing you both now he's back at work. Mine's now planning to give up work and send me out earning instead! Lol!

Obi - How is Noah getting on now? Is the colic any better? Hope you're ok.

Bunny - Hope Marta is well and that you are too. Not much longer now!

We just got back from the midwife. M has only lost 1oz, so they were really pleased and said that obviously the feeding is going well so I can relax a bit now as I know I'm doing it right! I'm finding I'm really tired (no surprise there!) so trying to keep up my iron intake and nap as much as possible. It's quite hard to find time with so many visitors!

Hope everyone else is well. I can't wait to hear about our latest arrivals!

Big hugs,

I know what you mean angie I didn't have time to nap either, the last one I took was the day we came out of the hospital, it's so nice enjoying my first day without visitors today, we're doing well. Dh is ok I keep sending him pics and he 's off for 2 weeks after this week. Bless your DH he sounds like a very doting dad Smile
I didn't like the tens machine, tried it for about 4 hours but all I could feel was it buzzing on my back, think I may have been doing it wrong,
Tazzy hope things are well on their way for you now, can't wait to hear your news Smile

Hi guys,

1st solo outing today. Great success. We were on time, fed in public and no crying from either of us Smile

Katy, 1st weigh in today, 7oz down which is still well within normal range - yippee! Well done on your 1 oz though, that's very impressive.

No visits now until Tuesday - I said I would ring if I needed one sooner otherwise to avoid unnecessary visits over the bank holiday weekend!! On a selfish note it saves me having to wait in too!!

Hope Tazzy has good news for us soon and Bunny surprises is to finish the job Smile

Hello girls.
Tazzy- how exciting, good luck and as Katy has said be open minded about pain relief. Can't wait to hear your news. Thinking of you and sending hugs.

Katy- that's fab news about your princess only losing 1ounce you've obviously got top class yummy milk and your doing a fab job. I hope your managing to get some rest and remember you can say no to visitors, after all you've just had a major op and need your down time. I would also like to thank you for your support on my earlier post about feeling low. It brought a tear to my eye that you took the time to reply and provide reassurance especially when you have a new baby to look after, much love hun.

Hannah- sounds as though you and Alice are settling yourselfs into a little routine now that DH OS back at work. It'll be better when the weather improves because you can be out walking more which will no doubt help with the diet. Well done on your weight loss hun but remember to be kind to yourself remember you've only just had a baby so don't put pressure on yourself. Thank you for your support on my earlier post your a star don't know where is be without you all.

Bunny- hope things will soon start progressing with Marta there's only tazzy and your babies left before our little family is complete.....so exciting.

Obi1- hope Noah starts to settle soon hun, hope your managing to get some rest.

Tare- hope you and little Teo (fab name) are doing well and hope your enjoyed your little outing. Thank you also for your fantastic support on my earlier post I wish you all lived closer so we could all meet for mothers meetings.

Hope all you other mummies are doing well and babies are thriving well. Much love to you all.

Hi ladies,
Well, I came on the other day and wrote a long post but goodness knows where it went? Sad
Anyway, just dropped by to catch up, but only a quickie as I want to go reply to Angie's other post (not that I don't love you all equally!)

Congratulations Katy! Beautiful name too (I did say this a few days ago now but like I say, lost in cyberspace!)
And Tazzy, I hope things are going smoothly for you hun!

I'll be back real soon I promise
Amanda xx

Hi everyone,

Tare - Unsurprisingly our next visit is on tuesday too! Looks like we're keeping on track together. That's good news about Teo, he'll make it back up in no time I'm sure. I'm impressed (and a bit jealous) at your solo outing - I am looking forward to getting out and about when I'm up to it!

Angie - I hope you're feeling a bit brighter. Please don't ever feel like you're on you're own.

Hannah - I second what Angie says about weight loss, don't pressure yourself. I was a bit disappointed when I still had my big bump but it's come in really useful to rest M on while feeding! Lol!

Amanda - Lovely to hear from you. I hope you're getting on ok.

I'm still trying to get the hang of doing things with one hand - easier said than done!

Big hugs,

Katy I was a bit upset by how much saggy skin I have, I didn't think it would go but is looking better already, though doesn't help that DH keeps calling my belly jabba the hut cos it's so wobbly the bully. Is your hand still numb? Bless you I bet that's aukward.

Tazzy hope your enjoying some nice cuddles and not still in labour

Love to all H xx

Hannah - My numb arm came back a few hours after the op. I was one handed tonight as I was feeding!

Tazzy - Hope everything's going well and that you're having lots of cuddles by now! Good luck and I hope you get some sleep tonight!

Night all, bed is calling.

Hiya ladies, got a moment 2 come on!

Well, I didn't get induced, they let labour progress naturally and only usin gas and air, I had my beautiful boy at 00.13 on 4.4.12! It was excruciatingly painful but DH was so good. Smile no name 4 baby yet either!!

Have been sick 2wice since the birth so not managin 2 enjoy it properly Sad

He will b bottle fed as tried breast and he's takin 2 long 2 latch on and midwife said he cld take up 2 3 weeks..I know its controversial and it is the best milk 4 him but we r both strugglin with it. He's jus had 15 mils SMA and fallen asleep. I can't sleep, jus wanna look @ him!

He's so tiny, am so scared of breakin him! He was 6lb 5oz wich is about right as I'm tiny myself!

Gtta try and sleep but feel so sick 2 Sad

Xxx
