Great name for a great baby!! I hope he gets to see all these messages on his 18th Birthday.

Bobby Lee Hutchinson...you have very very strong parents and you made us all smile the day you were born. Very Happy

Mr and Mrs Hutchy....enjoy your gorgeous baby and know your little Archie has been with you all the way. I love that he was laying on your chest...just as it should be.

Hutchy,

Great to hear from you, but sorry to hear that Bobby has an infection. Hopefully he'll recover really quickly and you'll both be home before you know it.

We are home!!!!!!!!!

Well, where do I begin.......
Tuesday morning I was bouncing around on my ball and then felt the need to go to the loo, when I went it was all bloody and think it was my plug, I phoned labour ward and advised them that I wasn't feeling Bobby's movements as intense as I had so they told me to go in for monitoring.. went and had a quick shower and when I got out my waters broke...

Got to labour ward and they hooked me up to baby heart monitor, I was also examined and was 2cm so no change from having my sweep... My contractions started quite quick and came every 45 seconds and soon became really intense. After 2 hours I was in complete agony so they moved me to a labour room. The Dr came in to say he was concerned as Bobby's heart rate kept dropping and at 2cm they wouldn't expect this, usually at 9-10cm. He said he wanted to monitor for a further 20 minutes before making a decision. I asked if I could make that decision and to do a section now and get him out safely, he said if that is what I wanted then they would do it. He examined me first and was still only 2cm but he said that my waters were 'foul' smelling, so not sure what this indicated so within 20 minutes he had bobby out.
Not sure if my waters were infected but they kept mentioning CLR levels?? and that they were raised with both me and Bobby so we have both been on antibiotics and I am still taking them...

It feels so surreal being home now and I am absolutely petrified constantly keep checking him to see if he is breathing!!

will try and be back on again either later or as soon as I can with some pics as I need to go to bed to catch up on some sleep...

Thank you for all your kind comments....

Hutchy and Bobby xx

So pleased that you're home and you can do what you want, without being prodded and poked and disturbed by other people. Sorry that the birth didn't quite go to plan, but safe arrival is the main thing. Look after yourself and enjoy your beautiful baby. Can't wait to see piccies and hear all about him as he grows up.

Hutchy, so pleased that you're home. I absolutely agree with your decision to tell the consultant to just get on with a c section, I wouldn't have wanted to mess about either. Sorry that it wasn't the birth you may have wanted, but who cares, Bobby is safely here and you're all home.

Enjoy being at home. I didn't feel like Theo was mine until we got home, so enjoy him and catch up on some r and r in your own house.

Wendy xx

Hutchy glad to hear you are home safely. I bet it wss CRP Levels which are non specific inflammatory indicators..they can be raised in infection or a flare of gout or arthritis or even if you have fallen over! Surprised that was all they went on but maybe there were other markers too like raised white cells etc. Anyway what matters is he is well. How heavy was he?Love to you all x

lovely photo- as i said before i am so happy for you and your family- enjoy and try not to worry too much about the breathing thing - is he sleeping in a cot next to your bed? that always reduced my anxiety. looks like he's got blonde hair.... i remember jed popping out and the first thing i said is thats my ginger one- i always knew one of my boys would be ginger Smile
