Well acupuncture was fab! I have decided to go for the electro - acupuncture which has seen to have higher success rates for women going through IVF.. its a bit strange have needles put in you then connected to wires (as if you were trying to jump start a car Laughing ! ) sending electric pulses through your body Laughing So got to have 8 of these sessions before ET so its going to be a busy few weeks for me! But the lovely lady is working miracles as she is working to increase blood flow to my uterus, increase my energy, reduce my stress levels, keep me positive as well as keep any side effects of the buserelin that I am injecting at bay... so far so good! and hopefully money well spent! Very Happy Plus she has got me on Zita West vits etc..

I hope you are well Kitkat and everyone else x

Hi Footsteps

I've had accupuncture (normal and electro too) for back pain (following a nasty car accident and major back surgery) and really rate it for pain relief, so hopefully it will be just as effective for this. A friend of my hubby's also used it as pain relief during labour, but I think I'd be afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep still and would snap one off or dig it in too deep LOL !!

Feeling fab, just run out of steam quite quickly these days, but at least have finished work now, so this week some serious baby retail therapy starts Very Happy

However, baby is extended breech, so there's a good chance I'll have to have an elective ceasarian around 37/38 weeks, but we'll see. I'm not phased at all by it though, whatever is best for baby, and me.

Keep up the PMA Footsteps I'm sure that's half the battle...

Hi Kitkat,

I wouldn't like to be in labour with needles poking out me etc either lol! I hope you are well and this glorious weather isn't taking too much of a toll on you and you have been able to do some baby retail therapy. I cannot believe how quickly the last 8mths has gone by (for me anyway lol!) Hopefully the baby will turn in time but like you I wouldn't be phased by anything either...the main thing is what is best for mum & baby Smile

AFM - still downregging & got scan next week so hopefully will be given some indication of when ET will be.. then it will feel a bit more like I am cycling. Acupuncture is going a treat.. am having a couple of sessions a week now till ET.

Take care

Hi Kitkat,

How are you hun? any sign of that little munchkin of yours yet? if not, then not long now Smile I hope all is well with you and the baby has turned for you too xxx

Well afm I am still downregging urghh approx 6 wks now Sad luckily acupuncture keeping buserelin side effects at bay!! they found a cyst on 1st down reg scan so been having probs getting rid of that as it was keeping lining thick too... so another scan this wk and will hopefully confirm good riddance of it and we can move on to prepping me for ET...

Take Care

Hi Footsteps

Was thinking about you the other day but didn't get round to posting, things are pretty hectic as our house sale has completed and now we're trying to complete on our purchase. Along with Little One imminently arriving..... it's all go !!
Nope, still hasn't turned, so I'm booked in for an elective section on Monday..... eeeek !! At the scan last Monday she was estimated at 6lb 10oz, so a good size

6 weeks of downregging, ouch ! Smile Hope the cyst has gone and you can move forward...

Wow Kitkat not long till you become a mummy and meet your long awaited precious little one Smile you don't do things by halves lol with the house sale & purchase all at the same time as the little one arriving! Now thats what you call multi tasking ! Laughing

I know that you will be up to your eyes in everything, so I wanted to wish you all the very best for Monday and I look forward to hearing your news very soon x

afm cyst gone at long last I ended up being put on some tablets to cause a bleed & boy what a bleed that was!! but it appears to have done the job and at long last we have been given the green light to crack on with the estradiol tablets so not long before ET! so its all systems go again for us Smile x

Good Luck & Speak very soon

Footsteps x

Well our DD arrived on Monday, and she is perfect Very Happy The team in theatre were amazing (especially as there were complications and I had a lot of blood loss due to previous endometriosis), it was a bit surreal being awake during it all though.
But we're home now, and I'm feeling a lot better and brighter than I thought I would be just 3 days after.
DD was 6lb 10oz, and a little poppet. We feel very very blessed.

How are you Footsteps ?
