Hi Immunies!
DH and I have a review appt on Thurs following our FET which resulted in BFN. After our fresh cycle, BFN with biochem, we had the L1s done which showed various blood clotting issues and an inability to absorb folic acid. My FET protocol initially included Prednisilone, which was later removed without a proper explanation as the consultant was on holiday at the time.
I intend to question it on Thurs, but so that I'm armed with more info, what have you been prescribed steroids for and does it sound like I should have them? Thanks

Hi Melski,
I would definitely ask about the use of prednisolone, as some ladies are prescribed empirically on it, even though they have not had Level 2 blood tests done. Prednisolone is used to treat/combat Level 2 issues, mainly high NK cells.
Many IF/miscarriage consultants prescribe it to ladies who have suffered miscarriages.
Prednisolone is not harmful in early pregnancy (up to 12 weeks), though there is a very slight increase risk of cleft-lip in babies.
Good Luck,
Maple

| Silverbirch, I often look for you on the immunes thread and guessed you must be otherwise pre-occupied. Very many congratulations to you and thank you for all your kind help and support throughout your pregnancy. I bet he was worth all the heartache and wish you a very happy future together as a family xxx |
