Hi Ladies, I am finally ready to request my FET. I will hopefully get to transfer mid June, so that counts as the summer, right?! I put it off by a month after the move as it would have been too quick and I just wasn't ready, mentally. But with AF arriving today it is time to bite the bullet and get it over and done with!
Louise, how did it go in Belgium?
Lingey, how's things with you? Sold your house yet? |

Hiya Sarah
Have you moved now? Settled in?
Belgium was really promising thanks We're looking at egg collection about 7th September so a bit later than I'd hoped but what can you do... The consultants are away lol
I'm glad that you are feeling better about the FET - I'm really hoping it works out for you this time. How many frosties do you have? |

I have 2 blastocysts frozen, and we want both of them transferred. Unfortunately, I just got a phone call from a nurse to say that they can't take me this cycle as they are full up. Really annoying, as it has taken me quite a while to be ready to go again, and now I have to wait, again!
Sounds like things are going well with Belgium though, I read your thread on General. I suppose I need to stop moaning about travelling to Manchester if you're going that far!! So glad it is looking really positive for you.
We are settled in quite nicely now. Still got a fair bit of decorating to do (I guess I have the time to get it all finished now), but the place is looking good. Getting some wallpapering done this weekend on the "feature walls" in 3 rooms, and then just need to wait for new carpet in the dining room, and then we can finally unpack everything for in there. We're also looking at getting a new kitchen in the next month or so too, so been getting quotes in for all of that. Sourcing a lot of the stuff ourselves, but getting the cabinets and doors from Magnet. Got one quote from them for Β£6700, to which I said I was hoping for something nearer Β£5k. Low and behold, it came back at Β£4995!!
I suppose another month isn't too much to wait, and I do have a lot to do before I'm pregnant (PMA!) But it does make me want a drink tonight, just when I'd begun to be good again!! |

Sorry I'm a bit rubbish keeping up to date at the moment - time is dragging. All I have on my mind is getting these results back from the mouse test to see what the prognosis is and besides that I'm thoroughly idle and bored
So when will ET be now Sarah?
I'm glad the move went well i hope your redecorating goes at a better pace than mine lol
How is the new work place?
Lingey - I'm watching your cycle buddies thread Just go with your gut re the number transferred. If you can handle the bad as well as the good associated with twins, then I'd go for two. You are still well on your way to a BFP but it could have gone better, so make the most of it. Good luck for tomorrow assuming it will be ET day - eeeeeeeeeek |

Louise waiting for results of mouse test sounds exciting things are happening for you then!!! September will be here before you know it! And I'm not surprised you feel like time is dragging bless you!! Stay positive π I keep an eye on this thread to keep up to date with where your at bless you, you will get your mojo back soon! How is your home gym that you were getting?
Our house move is all on, it has been a nice distraction but getting stressful now lol especially as I'm on the roller coaster π’ at the mo lol
Defo eeeek looks like its gonna b ET tomozz I would of liked to have more eggs and embryos but for my age it's not too bad, and im grateful i got this far this time! I think we have decided if we have decent ones tomozz we will go for a double transfer and risk the twins, it's only 25% so it's one in four and wouldn't be a disaster if we did get twins we wil be overjoyed with any number of babies!!!! Fingers crossed it happens!!!

Oh the home gym is just gathering dust... I just haven't managed to metally allocate time for it. I am doing a lot of physical work though around the house (lame excuse).
When is you OTD? xx |

The bed is fab thanks ! Love it The weather turned nice today so trying to get he he'd done but typically I can't find something I really need and hubby is off having fun in the sun on his bike. He knows where it is too! xx |

Congrats Lingey. Sounds like it all went very well. I'd always go for 2 now, and refuse to get talked out of it like I have been twice now! Everything crossed for you on 20th
I got another room decorated this weekend, and 2 pairs of curtains up, so the house is getting there slowly but surely. Will be much better after next weekend once we have carpet in the dining room and can put all of that room's stuff in and unpacked, rather than having it all over the house!
Louise, when do you get the mouse results? |

Argh Lingey I get a sicky excited feeling when I think of you with two embryos! I really hope you get a BFP
Sarah we get the mouse results by the end of this week! I got an email off them yesterday and the test will be happening tomorrow... I feel sick to my stomach about it when I think about it. It's like all or nothing. Either it gives us the green light that we really can look forward to some embryos in September or the complete opposite and it tells us that we will never have children together... And it's all my fault and not hubby's after he's taken all the "blame" to date.
Pretty intense, huh?
I said to my hubby that we could get some eggs off my sister which i think would be a perfect solution and you know what he said?
"She's a bit dim though..." rofl!
I've done some DIY too The shed is a mess so I've build a frame that I can put a worktop on and it's turned out fab Now I just need the worktop... Either I get a cheap one for Β£35 but need to find a way of transporting a 3m length of worktop... Or I buy one online that can be delivered but the cheapest are Β£70! |

Hi ladies
Louise your comment about suggesting using your sisters eggs and hubby response made me chuckle lets hope the mouse test results come back soon so you will be able to look to the future! I hope your not feeling too anxious about getting the results it's nearing the end of the week so just wanted to say I was thinking of you and will keep my eye out for the results π πgood luck honey and will be keeping everything crossed!!! πππ
Sarah76 it sounds like your motoring ahead with your decorating it will be keeping you busy while you wait bless you although not long now!!! I will keep my eye for you jumping back on the π’roller coaster soon π our buyers have changed solicitors which has put things back again on our move which is not such a bad thing at the mo so still waiting for a date for the big move!
This 2ww feels like forever, some side effects from the lovely pessaries but other than that feel the same the 20 th feels like a long way away and not sure I have the patience to resist testing early! I will keep you posted!
It seems to have gone a bit quiet on here lately so I hope everyone else is keeping themselves busy while I between

Thanks for posting here, Lingey, as your buddies thread is so big I haven't the time to trawl through it to see your updates! Only (yeah, only, lol) 10 more days before OTD. Try and keep calm, but do let us know if you sucumb and test earlier (I bet you do )
I should know a couple of days after you if I can get in for my FET this time. Only just realised that, so now I'm nervous and impatient too! Keeping busy this weekend with the dining room, as we now have carpet. Upon which one of the kitties decided to deposit half a dead something this morning! My best guess was mouse, but you really couldn't tell. But at least it was nommed somewhere else, so no blood on the brand new carpet. I did unpack a box of books today only to find them covered in muddy paw prints. Cat + Box = must get inside!!
Everything crossed for you, Louise. We don't want dumb eggs, now do we?!! bless |

Not too long to go now, honey. Still holding strong? Hope your pains have gone away.
I got the approval to have both blastocysts transferred! So relieved. I wrote to the consultant, and I got a brief but to the point reply saying I had made a concise and convincing case, and the approval had been given. It almost feels like it's worked already! Twins; it was always meant to be. We joked about it from the start. |

Aww, well done Lingey. I'm chuffed for you!
I'm hoping it will be July, Louise. Depends if they knock me back again or not, but I think that the fact they couldn't take me last month means I get priority this month. It had better blooming do!! |

I'm sure they won't knock you back again
God i'm bored with all this waiting around. I'm sleeping more and more and when i'm awake i'm grumpy and just want to go back to bed :-/
No one seems to linger much between cycles, but then again i guess there isn't much to talk about anyway!
The weight loss isn't going too well - mainly because i'm eating like a pig... go figure. Three weeks ago i was 11st 11 and today i was 11st 10 *sigh*. I think my main problem is trying to fit my eating around hubby and he doesn't like dieting and i tend to give us pretty much the same amount too because there is nothing worse than having a child's portion of food in comparison to a man's portion... why don't they do women sized plates?
I think i'm going to have to cut hubby loose and make him do his own from now on xx |

I totally gave up on the dieting ages ago, and so I haven't even looked at a set of scales in the last 3 months. Knowing it was ages off, and that making me feel a little depressed (somewhat like you, perhaps, Louise?) I just could not be arsed with it. Like you say, DH isn't interested, and that makes it harder. Then moving meant eating everything from the freezer anyway, no matter what it was. Then the move.... all in all I've not been bad, but I'd not been good. On the food front. However, we are drinking far too much (this weekend we got through a litre of gin, probably most of 75cl of vodka). It's not good, but we can't seem to stop. I know if I just did it would do my weight the world of good (not to mention my health), but I suppose I'm in a rut.
I'm hoping getting a start date will snap me out of it.
So, I can appreciate how you're feeling Louise. Do you have any idea when your waiting will end? You clearly need another hurdle to overcome to keep you going!! Chin up, honey. You'll get there. You certainly deserve it. Plus, get all the sleep you can now, because soon enough you won't be getting any!! |
