I am currently 15w4d and I have been on the April scan post. I have seen some of your posts on March scans as it has helped me when I have had minor wobbles to know it is normal to feel like I do.
I have my 20 week scan 12th July and EDD is 25th November so please can I join your list?

Hi H, josie and Anna,

Welcome, We've all been a bit quiet recently and I have had lots happening, but DH away now on a course for 2 weeks so will try and catch up!!

I've got my 20 week scan on Tuesday morning so will stick some pics up then too! Not sure what little lady will make of it but I don't have anyone that can have her and I think she might be facinated so fingers crossed it doesn't traumatise her LOL she is still at the talking to and kissing bump stage so also hoping she doesn't get too bored before he arrives Smile

Josie you must have had your 20w scan by now, how was it? did you find out what flavours you are getting??
Helena when's your 20w scan can't remember if you said on the other thread??
JEP - how you doing hun?

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and the weather perks up a bit, J-A and i are off on a girly shopping trip (game for her baby stuff for little man) and lunch out at ASDA LOL I don't think just 3 is too early to be a lady who lunches???? Smile

JEP - I used a big pillow in bed & had to sleep on my left side, from about 7 months onwards of my last pregnancy, it was a godsend for relieving the hip pelvic pain I was suffering with

Hobbit, yeah I had my scan a few weeks ago ... Having one of each which is just perfect!! How cute your DD must be with your bump .... My nephew's nearly 3 and he puts his ear to mine and says he's listening to them!

Josie - Yes we've found out that we're getting a boy!!! so one of each here too, J-A is still excited about getting a little brother. I will be interested to see what they say at the scan though, but at least we already know LOL (had an Amnio 4 weeks ago!!)

Hello everyone
Good to see some action on here! Hope everyone feeling well. People keep saying how well I look - which I'm actually taking as 'thank god cause you looked crappy before'!! Long may it last!

Shell thanks for the pillow advice - will see how I get on before then, just getting a bit wriggly at night, not uncomfortable as such but not as comfy as normal. May add it to the list of investments required! I'm not buying anything til after our 20w scan but am happily researching....! Spent time with my best buds yesterday - they live down in the posh south and we've been buddies since the age of 9. One has 3 kids, the other just the one. So was picking their brains about loads of stuff & came back with 4 dresses, a skirt and a few tops - you gotta love maternity hand-me-downs as they are hardly worn! Made me remember the little thought I had a few weeks ago - make the most of the peace & quiet at home cause they sure as hell are noisy little beauties aren't they!! Not that I want a silent one, but just going to enjoy the next few months of peace before my dh's OCD is pushed to the limits come the winter!! Hahaha!

Getting excited about the scan now - not sure if to find out what colour it is though.....

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you guys

Just crashing to wish you ladies good luck (although a bit sad as my EDD should have been 5th Nov too...). I'll be keeping an eye on some of you (Anna in particular who I was cycle buddies with).

Hobbit, just one thing - I don't know where you live, but might be worth checking before you go for your scan that they let you in with little ones. Some friends of mine couldn't find anyone to have their daughter, so the husband had to wait outside with her as the hospital wouldn't allow children in for scans.

Sorry, don't want to put a dampener on it, but just thought I'd let you know so you can ask before you go.

my EDD is 10 November if you listen to the hospital and 13 November if you listen to Care Very Happy

I have my 20 week scan in a couple of weeks and looking forward to finding out what flavour we are having Very Happy

work is crazy busy at the moment so I might not be online that often but will check in when I can

Thanks for the warm welcome Hobbit and thanks for checking on me Wendy. Having a major wobble today as had some pink spotting this morning (15w6d) and a bit more later when I wipe. I also feel premenstral/achey. I saw mw and we listened to the heartbeat and it was strong and baby was active. she did make me feel better. Been taking it easy today but after being relatively calm after 12 week scan I feel like I have to wait and see if it will turn to brown blood or red blood. I hate waiting.

Hi lovely ladies,

Anna - It may not help but i had a bright red bleed at 16w with J-A with no known cause but did then take it easy for a bit!!

Wendy - thanks for the warning as I hadn't even thought about it, I checked with my friend and she'd taken her little girl and it was fine... felt better having checked though Smile

J-A was very excited today and is telling anyone who will listen that she saw her little brother waving and wriggling!! he was good and even though we knew he was a boy..... It was pretty obvious LOL Smile

All was okay with the scan and he is fine HOWEVER I have Placenta Previa and it completely covers my cervix so now they have me panicking with horror stories about spending my last 5 weeks in hospital!!!!!!!! any spotting/bleeding means a swift trip to the hospital but until then I'll try to google just a little to make sure I take the correct precautions!!! They have said it can move up but considering it hasn't moved in the last 9 weeks they're not especially hopeful... bugger!!!! oh well at least it might make the birth plan a bit easier, was wondering about VBAC vs CS??? LOL

I hope all you other ladies are having a good time and looking forward to your scans!! Smile

That's great news Hobbit, sorry I didn't want to be alarmist, but wanted to check it was OK!

Good news that baby is good, but not great about the placenta previa. Hope it doesn't cause you too many problems.

Anna - how is the bleeding today? Sometimes these things just happen and it's not necessarily a bad thing particularly after 12 weeks. I had bleeds and 9+1 and 10+2 when I was pregnant with Theo and was convinced it was all over, but it turned out ok.

Anna, hope to try and put your mind at rest too - I had brown/ pink/ red spotting at 16 weeks and panicked but a scan confirmed baby is fine. They do not know the official cause (had a couple of ideas but nothing firm)- luckily it's gone now but lasted a good 10 days or so. I would say take it easy as much as you can.

Anna - how is spotting/bleeding? Has it settled? Fingers crossed for you.
Hobbit - great that bambino hobbit is wriggling around with his bits proudly on show! Big bugger to placenta praevia. What plans have they made to rpt your scans? Do they do them every few weeks now to make sure they know what's going on? Do you need any more cr*ppy luck? Nooooooooo!
Hope all other mummies and babies doing well
1w to wait til our 20w scan. I'm getting frustrated with the waiting! You'd think after going through ivf we'd all be better at waiting hey?! I'm a bit superstitious and don't want to buy anything til afterwards. May have a cheeky look in gap at baby clothes today as the 50%off sales are on! Eeeeekkkkk!
Looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming months

All is fine here with baby. The spotting finished and think it freaked out as I hadn't had any at all till then and didn't with DS then suddenly to have some at 15w6d made me feel scared. Hopefully that is the end of it.
