I wrote a long post yesterday but I lost it. Milly and Wendy you had me giggling about the eggy race.
Having a major wobble today as had some pink spotting this morning (15w6d) and a bit more later when I wipe. I also feel premenstral/achey. I saw mw and we listened to the heartbeat and it was strong and baby was active. She did make me feel better. Been taking it easy well as easy as you can with and 2 and a half year old, today but after being relatively calm after 12 week scan I feel like I have to wait and see if it will turn to brown blood or red blood. I hate waiting. Anyway my 20 week scan is Thursday 12th July if I get that far and we do want to know the gender. Feeling really negative about it all now.
Wendy thanks for checking up on me when I know it hasn't been easy for you. I have been stalking you and your progress. Have you got a date for EC?
Milly I hope AF turned up.
Jules hope you are well and looking forward to your holiday in August.
Katie I admire you resistence to finding out the gender. I am desperate to know.
Sorry for the me post.

VIP yay, how exciting. Do you have to do injections for down reg? Will you have to take any other injections or is it tablets for an FET? Do you know approx when ET will be?
Exciting stuff. Or not, it gets less exciting as cycles mount up doesn't it!
Anna, hope you're ok today.

Thanks Nicster.
Follicle scan went well. I've got 8 on my right ovary and 6 on my left and my lining is 12mm. All follicles were between 11 and 15mm, so it's likely that EC will be Monday, but have to go back for scan and bloods on Friday morning. Looks like the horrible gonal f jabs are doing their job.
I'm quite excited now. Although the hard bit starts then, how many eggs do you get, will they fertilise, will I get any to transfer, will I go mad in the 2ww?!!
Think I'm going to try and stay off the pee sticks this time and wait until OTD. Yeh right...

Wendy, that's excellent You are going to do really well. Will you consider going to blast this time? I know you've had some thoughts on it. Are you plnning to have 1 or 2 put back?
Thanks and to Nicster for the good luck msgs, you certainly right....the more times we try the harder it gets!!
I have to d/r on buserelin for 2 wks, then a scan and if all ok start on all concuction of drugs! No idea hopw long I'll be on them for - would imagine 2 to 3 wks at least as my snowbabies are blasts. I am so relieved that my consultant is due back just in time to oversee everything
Nicster - good luck with your chicago tests, if they come back with problems I have a good feeling that intralipid infusion may just be the final piece that is needed for that lovely bfp

VIP not sure about going to blast to be honest. I think I'd rather just get the embryos back where they should be. My embryos have never done that well outside, so I think it's not really an option. I'm intending to just have 1 put back. Doubt I'll get any frosties as I've never had any frozen ones before, but you never know.
Thanks for your comment, I think it's a gorgeous photo of Theo and yes, I am very proud. Thanks
Good luck with starting DR. I was DRing for 3 weeks this time as I was on holiday and it really feels like this cycle has been going on forever!

Thanks Nicster, I was pretty pleased. I was a bit aghast at the nurse's face at first, when she was looking at my right ovary as I said to her that there were only 1 or 2 last cycle and she smiled and said well it's doing better this time! lol. I was pretty happy like you say. Just hope it's not a case of quantity and not quality...
I can understand what you mean about the levels 2 showing something. It all depends on interpretation I guess, because when I was tested for the Graves Disease, the thyroid consultant said it was a strong positive for the immune disorder (which Graves Disease is), but when I had levels re-tested at Care, they said the level that came back was classed as a negative for them with regards it needing immune treatment, so you never know.
How is everyone else doing?

Thought I better update. Luckily everything is good. The spotting stopped and baby is fine.
Wendy I love the photo of Theo. Sounds like you have loads of fab follies growing. As for blasts i never had any on cycle 1,2 or 3 or any to freeze but cycle 4 we finally got blasts and isn't this cycle 4 for you??? I have fingers and toes crossed.
VIP- Good luck for DR and tahnks for message.

Thanks Anna, so pleased that your bleeding has stopped, it doesn't matter what stage you're at, any bleeding is scary in pregnancy. I remember being in a total flap when I bled at 10 weeks and rang a private scanning place and got a scan within half an hour and there was my beanie perfectly fine. After having a miscarriage it makes things much harder as well.
Yes, it does seem like I have a good crop and yes this is cycle 4 as well. The problem with Sheffield is though as they don't do ET on a Saturday or Sunday, if EC is monday, I wouldn't be able to go to blast anyway. I'll just have to play it by ear and see how it goes. They do do day 4 transfers, but last time 3 of the 4 embies had already slowed down by day 3 anyway, so it was a day 3 transfer for me. I guess I'm a bit superstitious cause Theo was a day 2 transfer!
Anyway, I'm waffling. Have you got a date for your 20 week scan Anna?

Wendy glad its all going well and the Gonal F has made a difference hope your scan tomorrow goes to plan
Vip, glad you had a nice holiday, love the new pics (and Wendy's), all ready to start on saturday
Anna - Glad to hear everything is ok
Milly - Sorry your body is messing you about, hope you can start stimming soon.
Nicster I know what you mean about wanting a result on the immune tests, hopefully it'll be something that can be corrected for and make that crucial difference - I remember feeling almost gutted when the level 1s came back ok for me because it was of no use to me whatsoever.
AFM - sorry I havent been about, don't really have a lot to tell. i have requested a copy of all my notes from Care but havent got any further than that. Still feeling rather fed up and sorry for myself, which I know is not helpful, its still not having a plan or anything that i'm working towards that does it I think.
Take care all

Hi ladies, thank you all. Got 14 eggs. It's the largest number I've ever got (and I was right about the number of eggs based on the number of follicles on my first scan).
It was Simon Thornton who did it as Dr Shaker is on holiday. My mum came with me, so was nice to have someone with me for EC for a change.
Just got to wait and see if any fertilise. ET is likely to be Thursday or Friday.
Hope everyone else is ok

Wendy that is fantastic news. I had 14 eggs so I am hoping that it is a good omen as I was my 4th cycle. Good luck for fertilisation. Come little embies. Simon Thornton is my consultant at
Notts.
Sending loads of baby dust

Jules, hope you get a plan soon. It's rubbish being in limbo and I wish I could say something that would make you feel better, but I know that I'm in a totally different position to you, so I don't want to sound like I'm giving you platitudes. I hope you and your DH find some common ground and you get a plan.
Milly, hope that you're doing ok. Have you had another bleed yet or is your lining thin enough? You have my sympathy having to DR for so long, I did that extra week this time and I really started feeling the effects of the suprecur. Big hugs, hope things get moving soon.
VIP how are you doing? Have you started your jabs now?
Anna how are you? hope you've not had any more bleeds.
Katie, you're rocketing on now. I can't believe you're nearly 25 weeks already, it's flown.
Nicster when's your review? Hope you get something conclusive as outcome of your Chicago tests.
Hi to anyone else I've missed.
Well, got the call from Care this morning. Out of the 14, 2 weren't mature and out of the remaining 12, 9 fertilised, but one was abnormal, so I have 8 embryos! It's twice as many as I got last time, so I'm hoping that some of them do well. They are talking about doing a day 4 transfer on Friday if they do ok (they don't do transfer on a Saturday, so no going to blast for me). You never know, I might get a frostie or two for the first time!
Anyway, one day at a time. They'll ring me tomorrow to let me know how they're doing.
Quite exciting really. Test date will be 6 July, so fingers crossed and all that.
Love to all
