Hi,
Hannah - I'm really sorry to hear about your sister. It must be really hard for you all at the moment. I'm thinking of you. Good luck with the race for life, I'm sorry but I've already sponsored some people from work who did it this weekend - it all goes to the same cause though. As for Alice's sleeping do you get up straight away when she wakes or do you leave her for a minute or two? It's just I found if I left M for a couple of mins she settled herself and I knew if she was hungry then she'd let me know. She's now sleeping 7hrs most nights and then goes back down for 1-2hrs after an early morning feed.
Tazzy - I hope AF turns up for you soon! I am certainly not missing mine, especially since I found my labour pain wasn't that much different from my period pains! They say sometimes pregnancy can sort that out, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I just wish I could have an epidural once a month! The thought of 2 kids under 1 is a bit stressful, but it would be wonderful all the same! I'm glad Daniyal seems to be sleeping a bit better for you!
We had a lovely hol, just not long enough as always! I was absolutely amazed this morning to find I've lost 2lb over the past two weeks, despite all the icecream and cake I ate last week! Anyway, I'd better go and cook tea.
Hope everyone else is well!
Love Katy x |

Hi guys, hope ur all ok..
Bit of a 'me' post..
Was just thinking...have been married for 41/2 years, was ttc for about 6 yrs. Only began investigating why we were unable 2 conceive after we got married. After we did all the tests, we were told DH has no sperm in his sample..we had 2 do 3 samples and had the same result each time..was diagnosed with azoospermia and we were told there's no chance we will have a child...I actually heard my heart breakin..
We were transferred 2 care. After a few more tests and a hyteroscopy, DH was taken for surgical sperm retrieval as some tests showed he does have live sperm, they're just trapped somehow..we still don't know how or y till this day, even after scans and further tests.
The best news was when Dr Thornton at Nottingham said he has managed 2 get 4 amps of live sperm after a biopsy..poor DH was in pain 4 about a month!
We started DR last June..I was so ignorant of the whole process..I didn't want 2 read 2 much about it, or join any forums as I didn't want 2 hear the negatives..I only joined this forum after my BFP.
Got good follies and at EC 13 were collected...7 fertilised..
Out of the 7 we got 1 2 blast..the others didn't survive..so no frosties..this was our 1 chance..
George did out ET and I was still very ignorant..but very positive..
After everythin we all went thru..my beautiful baby was born.
I look at him and I can't believe how strong he was 4 mummy and daddy..
I feel sorry 4 the other 6 we lost..and feel so sad wen I thinlk about it as in an odd way, they were my babies 2...
I know a lot of ppl have been thru so much worse than me and their posts sumtmes reduce me 2 tears..
We r so lucky.. I appreciate my baby so much. I don't mind sleepless nyts..I'm jus so glad we were givin this chance..this miracle and I love him more than anythin in the world..
Sorry 4 a silly post! Jus been on my mind 4 a wile!
Hope every1's doin well |

Awww Hannah! I love your new photo! Alice looks adorable! How are things with you and your family? I hope your sister is more comfortable now. I also hope you are looking after yourself - you've got so much going on and you'll be no good to anyone if you're worn out and exhausted. Please take care xx
Tazzy - I totally understand how you feel. It's not a silly post! We are all so lucky on this thread and I'm so glad we've had each other for support the whole time.
I hope everyone else is well. We've had an exhausting but lovely day. Amazingly we were up, dressed, out of the house and on the bus into town today before 9! We did have to start getting ready at 6, but it just goes to show there is hope for us yet!
Love Katy x

Thanks Katy, I didn't mean for it to be so big, I did it on my phone, I'll have to get on the computer and fix it so is smaller wheni get a min. Things here are hectic, Jenny is doing amazingly better, she seams better then she has since before xmas. But between visiting her looking after lily and Alice still not sleeping things seam really busy. Sean my brother in law is being difficult about me looking after lily even after we discussed the joint parenting when Jenny can't. I think it is probably going to end in court but I guess we will see.
I was saying on Facebook how glad I am to have you guys, it's so nice to have someone to talk too. It'sa shame the others don't come on here as much now. I'll remind them,
Angie had her hernia op Monday she is in pain but getting better, isabel has got her first 2 teeth and poor Noah has foot and mouth and is also teething. So it's all go.
The picnic hasn't been mentioned in awhile other then that people are looking forward to it is there any thing you want me to ask the others?
Anyway nighty night x |

Teething already?!? I keep forgetting some of our babies are a month or so older than M! Glad to hear your sister is doing so well. It's a shame her husband is being difficult, especially as you are only doing what your sister wants you to do. He may just want to feel like he's doing something useful and looking after Lily is one thing that can make him feel that way when he can't really do anything to help your sister other than be there for her, which is what she needs right now. Has she written a will? Surely if she's stated what she wants to happen then a court would stick to that. Plus it would all be about what is in Lily's best interests. I hope things improve, it's a stressful enough time for you all without any additional worries.
Just let us know what time/what to bring etc if it's decided on Facebook.

My sister hasn't written a will. I think she is still trying the ignore it and it will go away tactic but when it looked like she wasn't going to pull through last week I talked to Sean about it and he agreed that Jenny had told him she wanted us to look after her together but the does the opposite of that. I have her tonight so he can spend the night with Jenny but Jenny had to persuade him,
I've asked about the picnic. But so far the plan is to meet at half 11 at that park you suggested.
Alice just slept for nearly 5 hours but now won't go back to sleep, she just keeps laughing at me the little monkey |

Hi Guys , sorry ive not been on for a while.
You wont know but little Noah was poorly last week he caught hand foot and mouth and had blisters in those areas and also on his genitals. the ones in his mouth were so painful so he couldnt feed and i spent my birthday at the hosp as they tryed to sort his mouth out. Anyway all is well now and he is back to his normal self. He is 15 weeks now and has started teething also.
I went to essex to see the family just over a week ago, and it was so nice showing him off.
Since then we keep ourselves busy, we have jo jingles on mondays, bumps and babes on thursdays and baby massage on fridays.
I am thinking of starting weaning in a few weeks as he shows an interest in food now.
What are you ladies doing for fathers day, ive had a card made and had noahs hands and feet done in clay and framed. we have a fathers day special to attend also at a baby sensory event.
Tazzy i loved your story on the journey to pregnancy, I will never forget mine. It took me 20 years to have a baby. In just 6 days time it will be a year since i had noahs embryo put inside me, .
Looking forward to meeting you at the big meet up.
love
Obi

Hey ladies,
I must apologise, I've not managed to get on again for a while. I really must try to make just 5 mins every day to drop in, but these days, even eating breakfast before 1pm seems to be a task!!
I must say tho, I've just signed in now to post, and the last message on my screen right now is Katy saying she has her scan on Tuesday! I thought you were pregnant again Katy! lol Then realised I was on page 1! Heart in mouth moment!
I've had a quick read back and it sounds like Maia and Daniyal are both doing so well, it's amazing how quick these little babies grow up tho isn't it?! Isabel is 17weeks and 1 day today. I'm not sure how much she weighs now as it was just over 4 weeks since she was last done, and back then she was 13lb 14oz! She had her 16 week needles last Thursday morning, and weigh in clinic is Thursday afternoon, so I thought I'd leave it an extra week rather than taking her along after her jabs cos they really seem to knock her sideways.... In fact, today is the first day that she really seems to be back to herself after them, but she still has 3 horrible lumps on her legs that'll take another few days to go down.
She also has her bottom 2 front teeth come through, there's only like a millimetre or two of tooth thru, but I tell you what they are SHARP!
How is your first holiday going Katy? We love the Lakes. We are off in 2 weeks to Skipsea to stay in a friends caravan for a week. Cheap and cheesy I can't wait.
Right better dash, I'm cooking Richy a fathers day roast today and the oven is bleeping away - I'll be in trouble if I ruin it!
Looking forward to seeing you at the meet in a couple of weeks

Hi everyone!
Lovely to hear from you all - it's been very quiet on here without you!
Bec - Feeding is still going well, I'm still breastfeeding and M is following the line exactly with her weight gain. I haven't tried expressing yet but think I'll need to if I ever want to go out and about for more than an hour - I went to a dance class last week and although I fed her just before I went she screamed the house down the whole time I was gone and then when I got back fed as if she'd not eaten for days! We had a lovely hol in the Lakes, it was nice to get away - I hadn't realised how much I needed a break from our house! I hope you manage to find a good buggy. If you get one that goes flat and get one of those snooze nets that should be fine for the wedding.
Obi - I'm sorry to hear Noah hasn't been well. We had hand, foot and mouth going round nursery while I was pregnant, apparently, though I never saw any evidence of it. I think one kid got it then the other parents used it as an excuse to stay at home in the cold weather! I'm glad he's better now. Glad you've been enjoying showing him off - it sounds like you're really busy!
Amanda - Haha! I'd love to be pregnant again, just give me a few months to get over M's birth please! Lol! M's got her jabs this week. I hated the first set - the nurse said she didn't know how she's not been punched before now by hormonal mothers! I hope Isabel recovers soon from her last jabs. I can't believe she's got teeth already! Are you bf? If so how is it going with teeth? Hubby thinks M's teeth are starting. She keeps chewing on her hands and dribbling. I don't know if that's a sign or not, but it doesn't seem to be a comfort thing so maybe, but it's very early if it is! Sounds like you've got a lovely hol planned. Cheap and cheesy is the way to go. We were looking at going abroad, but I was so paranoid about M dehydrating/overheating in that hot spell we had a couple of weeks ago, I don't know what I'd be like abroad!
Tazzy - Sorry to hear AF has been so painful. Doesn't bode well for me when the time comes... Thank god ive still got some of the painkillers left that they gave me after my section! At least you haven't got the worry of waiting for it now though! How is D's colic? Are you using anything like infacol?
Hannah - I hope everything is ok with you and your family. How did the race go? Hope you aren't aching too much - I'd be on my knees, I'm so unfit right now!
Right, I'm off to bed. M went down about an hour ago, hubby is asleep and I just can't sleep!
Hope you're all ok and that babies are well. Really looking forward to meeting you all soon.
Love Katy x |

Heya,
I found 5 mins again!
Katy - I'm not BF no, altho I do often wish that I was, but when she chomps on my finger it makes me realise its probably for the best right now!
I know exactly what you mean about paranoid in the heat. I was in a right state the other week constantly checking on her and doing her temp. I'm a Virgo, so a born worrier anyway but since I've had Isabel, I can soooo see my mum coming out in me. She worries so much. I have to take a hold of myself and tell myself to chill sometimes or I won't enjoy Isabel like I should be. Does that make sense? I've not really talked to any of my friends about this, cos don't want them to think I'm nuts lol.
We've had such a busy day today, I have a list as long as my arm of jobs I need to get done around the house, birthday presents to buy, house insurance to renew and so on, and I just don't seem to get any of it done and feel really guilty for sitting down in an eve to relax cos I should be doing all that stuff..... What am I like eh
Anyway, must go, pile of ironing to do.....
Love to all xx
PS - We are excited too xx |

Hi,
Amanda - It must be a Virgo thing! I realised I'm turning into my mother too, although after years of her worrying about the stupidest things she's now the one telling me not to be worried! To be fair, I have been worrying about some ridiculous things and I'm always a million times worse when I'm tired. At one point I was worrying if worrying was a sign of pnd and then that made me worry even more! It's good to know I'm not the only one with a list of things to get through. We still have a load of thank you cards to finish, obviously hubby thinks it's my job to write to all his friends and family after doing all my side, especially as I spend so much time sitting on the sofa...it's obviously so easy to write thank you cards when I'm feeding a baby!
Tare - it's so exciting! How are you and Teo getting on?
We had another trip to the pool today and both M and I were both much more confident in the water. I think it helped that we've been practising in the bath!
Hope you're all ok!
Love Katy x |

Hey ladies,
Tazzy I hope daniyals colic has settled again for him. Fingers crossed the bad af was just a one off and it gets back to normal next month.
Katy judging by all the activities you do im sure your way fitter then me. Things are ok here. I have lily this evening and we hada picnic in the garden seeing as the weather was good. Jenny went for an operation today but they decided that it wasn't worth doing in the end. Race for life was great. Raised over £400
Alice is in a terrible mood again this evening. I'm not sure if is her teeth or tummy ache. I've fed her 3 times in the last hour and a half and given her calpol, given her dentinox teething gel and she's had a nap but she's still screaming. |

finely got on the laptop so i could fix the picture so it isnt huge sorry about that. i am enjoying 5 minutes as steve has taken alice out. he had a family party tonight and i didnt really fancy it i was reluctant to let him take alice as she usually goes to bed around half 9 these days but he really wanted to show her off to his family so i have caught up on my housework now im just going to jump in the shower and curl up in bed with my book
alice rolled over for the first time today i am very proud of her and she has done it another couple of times since so im a happy mummy today plus we have played lots and she is very happy.
went to see my sister earlier and they are letting her out soon which is really good as when she went in 2 and a half weeks ago we didnt think she would come out at all. i have to say though its been a tiring and stressful time and i think its taken its toll on me as ive been having dizzy spells and chest pains my sister still hasnt made a proper decision in regards to whats happening with my niece yet and its so frustrating, i dont think she realises that this is a big thing for me and if its going to happen i have a room to get decorated stuff to buy, childcare to start thinking about etc
anyway its nearly the weekend so only just over a week to go till our picnic which i am mega excited about. are you 2 fetching partners/family? we were discusing on facebook. it seams 50/50 oh and its been agreed that we will each bring our own food.hope you guys have a great weekend and that you and the little ones are doing well. much love `h xx |

Oh dear tazzy sounds like things have been eventful for you and the little mister, but im glad his colic
Seams to have settled down. The coughing up milk incident must have been so scary, ignore your sister I'm sure I would have been exactly the same.
Fingers crossed daniyal goes ok with his injections cos im looking forward to meeting you both next week x |
