I don't know if anyone has had this happen to them. Recently had a down reg scan and small cyst found on ovary.. prescribed hcg to induce ovulation and told to expect a bleed and to call clinic when it starts to book in for another scan. I am really worried that the cyst won't clear and this cycle will be cancelled.. any advice would be great xx

Hi Footsteps,
A similar thing happened to me. It wasn't my down-regging scan but a scan in preparation for a FET. Anyway they found quite a large cyst. I was asked to come back after my next AF. However we ended up selling our house and moving very quickly so it was about 3 months before I got back. By this time the cyst was so small that they weren't worried about it. The result of that cycle is my DD below.
I did a lot of reading when it happened to me and in a large number of cases the cysts disappear with your cycle.
Best of luck Footsteps and fingers crossed that it disappears as quickly as it came.

Hi Jacquie,
I really hope the trigger shot along with the small bleed I will get from it will clear it, as my lining is not as thin as they wanted it to be and they said it was probably due to the cyst possibly emiting oestrogen so they need it to disappear. They didn't seem too concerned about it at the clinic.. (or didn't show any signs of concern?!) but once you get home your mind starts working overtime and you think of all the worst case scenarios that could happen?! Your little ones look adorable x |

Hi
I have a v big cyst (golf ball size!) and knew about it before my last DE cycle. I went through the cycle and am starting again with it still - plus another smaller one this time for good measure on the other ovary. It even grew a bit last time around and they considered getting rid of it but decided against. Care have changed my meds slightly but otherwise it's fine. I suspect a lot depends on the individual dr? So may not be as big a problem as you fear

Hi Birdie,
Did you have problems with your lining because of the cysts? my clinic are trying to clear cyst etc as it now appears to be keeping my oestrogen levels high hence lining not as thin as they would like it to be What meds did they give you? The trigger shot didn't work so still no further forward. so I had bloods done to see what was going on etc and now having to take norethisterone so yet more delays during this cycle luckily no side effects from buserelin as I think we are going to be pals for a while longer than anticipated

Hi Footsteps
I reckon the cyst may be the cause of spotting between periods which ive had for years (& I've been advised is one of the reasons I haven't got pregnant) but my lining was fine each time they checked and no spotting post transfer. They are doubling my progynova tabs this cycle to be on the safe side (8mg/4 tabs instead of 4mg/2 this time). They considered getting rid of it last time but at my post treatment review the dr didn't think it was a problem.
Best of luck

Well the cyst has finally gone! norethisterone did the job and my lining is ultra thin so can move on to next stage of cycle at last! yay!!
Thanks for your advice & support ladies
