daniyals had such a bad nyt. I dnt know if its cuz of injections or not. Jus been awake, screaming, most of the night. Hes not feeding properly nd keeps passing wind! Was so lookin 4wrd 2 meetin u all, am gutted Sad

We have not sat down yet today. Been running around playing with little ones and travelling all day.

it was so good to meet you, wayne and maiya yesterday. we really had a lovely time. maiya is beautiful hun,
Liam was pleased to meet wayne , we both thought he was good fun, and would luv to meet up in the future.

lets hope its not too long.
we had a big fat curry when we got home, so not getting rid of the fat just yet.

Hi Haley!

Hubby said the same about you guys - I think he had a better time than he'd expected and he was glad Liam was there to talk about something other than babies! Bless them! It must've been quite hard for the guys as they've missed out on all the chatting over the past year.

Noah is absolutely gorgeous - I can't believe how grown up he looks with all the hair he has. I'm hoping M will grow some proper locks soon so she looks a bit more feminine! My friend used to put Velcro baby hair slides in her daughter's hair, I suppose I'm going to have to wait a while! Anyway, hair or no hair, I feel so incredibly lucky to have her. We're all so lucky to have such gorgeous babies! It'll be lovely to meet up again and see how they've all grown (and hopefully how I've shrunk a bit! Wink

Hopefully this last stone and a half will just fall off!) Hope you enjoyed your curry! We keep munching on them too - there's me going on about the baby weight I've got to lose, but life's too short!

Hey Katie hows things, its quiet on here, i havnt been on fb for a few days but back on tonight and its pretty quiet on there as well. A few people are on holiday though.
Not much news still plodding on, trying to get out as much as possible.
Noahs well and certainly chirpy, hows maia.

Got Noahs passport picture done today, he looks well cute, and sat quite happi;y for the pictures. he seemed to enjoy it ha ha.

Hiya all

Daniyal was very bad last Saturday, jus cryin most of the day but it did calm down by sunday Smile

How is every1 else doin?

hannah, I read ur other post, glad Alice is sleepin betta Smile

Daniyal settles down bout midnightish (made up that word but u no wat I mean!) And can then wake up any time between 5 and 8, depending on how much he drank at his last feed. Although, I think he's gettin a cold as he's been sneezin a lot and had a runny nose yesterday, I hav been givin him paracetamol. Also..he's a thumb sucker! OMG, its so cute as he sucks it as he's goin 2 sleep and even wen he's hungry, so he's not cryin as much as he used 2 and he hasn't had the dummy 4 about 2 weeks!
He copies me wen I stick my tongue out and is now a very smiley baby Smile

glad the colics almost disappeared!

The nly problem is...he hates noise! Cuz its mainly just me and him @ home, whenever I go 2 the in laws with him (3 children live there also, aged 6, 3 and 5 months) its so noisy, he doesn't settle and mainly cries! I need 2 take him there often and not just weekends so he can get used 2 the noise. I've also started puttin the volume of the tele up so he gets used 2 the noise and keep it high when he's sleepin so he sleeps thru noise. Before he jus slept in my arms and as soon as I'd put him down, he'd wake up, but am managing 2 put him down without him wakin up now...which means I can go 2 the loo!!

I bet as soon as he begins 2 settle..it will b time 4 teething!!

Hey tazzy, daniyal sounds like he's doing ok with his sleeping, definitely got it quicker then Alice, glad his colic is better, Alice is fine with noise as the dog barks alot and my neighbour is always over with her toddler. Sounds like he is starting to interact well, bet it's lovely.

Love what you said about colicfinishing then teething starting

Tazzy do you go to any local baby clubs. Noah is on the sensitive side when it comes to noise. i Guess Danyial is a pisces they are sensitive little things. Or is he aries. Oh well some babys are just sensitive. I have found though that the more daytime clubs i take him too he gets used to us babbling women and babbling babies lol.

Hi everyone,

Tazzy - Glad to hear Daniyal's doing so well with his sleep. M has turned into a thumb sucker too, although she's chewing on hers a lot, she puts it all along her gums and sometimes ends up putting it so far in her mouth it makes her gag! I've tried her with cool teething rings, which she likes for a bit, but her thumb is obviously much better! As for the noise thing have you tried any groups like Obi suggested? M's ok with noise, we go to two baby groups each week, it's always really noisy and she usually falls asleep midway through. I think she must've got used to the sound of noisy children when she was in the womb!

Hannah - How are things with you? How is Alice getting on with sleeping? Hope you're all ok.

Obi - You made me laugh with the babbling women, we all made far more noise than the babies last week! Wink

We had a nice week away, avoided the rain on two days and even had one day of sun, which would have been the one day I hadn't packed a sun hat, wouldn't it? M is back to her old sleeping pattern and managing to go for about 7hrs again, as long as she gets a good, long feed before bed. She's so funny, she's started to pretend she's crying if I'm not giving her my full attention (God forbid I should make myself some lunch or go to the loo!) then when I look at her she gives me the biggest smile and just giggles at me! Little monkey! I keep warning her about the boy who cried wolf...

Right, she's dropped off. Let's hope I haven't jinxed things by talking about how well she's been sleeping!

Hi all..very long post so don't feel obliged 2 read it..its just about a bit of my ICSI journey again!!

It will be a year on 19th July since my egg collection..!! Its unbelievable! More so as I had 2 operations and was under anaesthetic twice within a couple of months, when I'd never ever had an operation before! The first was a shock..I was meant 2 start my treatment at Notts in March 2011 but when I had the initial scan 2 check the lining of my womb..a polyp was discovered. I was advised 2 get this operated on as we didn't want anything 2 jeopardise our chance at our first ICSI. Cuz of the NHS, I had 2 wait till May for this operation, hence I started my stimms in June.
The day of the egg collection..I was so nervous..terrified..u guys know exactly what I mean! After waking up after the collection I was wheeled down to the room where my DH was waiting and I saw a massive smile on his face and he informed me the Dr had told him that 13 eggs were collected Smile

the Dr then came and confirmed that and I can't remember much else of what he said as I was in a daze and was feelin all sorts of emotions...
The next day I was told 11 had fertilised and as the days passed, they had 3 they would take 2 blast but due 2 the law only 1 was put back in on 24th July..however, the others didn't make it so had none to freeze Sad

this was our only chance..!!
The 2ww was a nightmare!! Every twinge, mood change, nauseous feelin..'Was I pregnant?' I thought.. But I didn't wanna allow myself to think that as soo didn't want to get my hopes up..
DH didn't talk about it..men!!

OTD was 6th August 2011...I had left the care test in the bathroom the night before..secretly so DH doesn't realise!! I knew I'd wake up at a ridiculous hour 2 go 2 the loo and I'd end up doing it!! Lo and behold..5am on 6th August..I peed in the pot..put a couple of drops on the test..and turned it around so I couldn't c the result!! I closed my eyes and thought of all the times that my period was even a day late and I thought 'I'm pregnant!!' I used to send DH to get me pregnancy tests and I did them with such excitement..only 4 them to be negative..EVERY SINGLE TIME!! The disappointment..the hurt..the tears.
And now in front of me was a possibility..I could be..am I?? I found the courage 2 turn it around..and 2 LINES!! OMG! Oh, but hold on...did 2 lines mean pregnant or not pregnant?? Although I read the instructions about a million times before and had done so many tests before, I just couldn't remember!! '2 lines mean you're pregnant' it said on the box!! I couldn't breathe!! I WAS PREGNANT!! I slowly skulked back 2 my bedroom, trying not to wake DH up as I'd tell him in the mornin..but as I walked into the room, he was sittin up in bed..'Uve taken ages' he said.. 'Are u ok? Is everything ok? Have u done the test?'...I looked at him..tears streaming down my face..'We're having a baby!' I said!! Oh we hugged..4 ages and ages and ages!!! I saw DH eyes moisten and that was the second time in the 8 yrs I had known DH I saw a tear in his eyes..

The first time was when we first got the results of DH's semen analysis..when we were told there was zero sperm. I was so angry..so evil. On the way bak home, we didn't speak..
When we reached home I just began to verbally attack him..' U must have done something in your life that's destroyed your sperm' I spat at him. 'Because of u I can't have a baby!!'...
DH looked at me and said..'Noone will ever call me Daddy..do u know how much that's killing me? U can still get pregnant, I can neva have a child'..I'd never felt so disgusting in my life for just thinking about me! I did not imagine what he was going through..but luckily after sperm retrieval, sperm was found and that's how we got our embryos fertilised.
However, that wasn't the only time I had evil thoughts..before we realised we can have ICSI..I used 2 think the most terrible things..
I CAN get pregnant..I am ok..DH is holding me back..hope God forgives me for thinkin this and I hope u guys do too but I though..a 30 second 'rendezvous' with someone I'd just met could get me pregnant and a lifetime with DH wouldn't! When I think back I can't believe how selfish, evil my thoughts were..obviously, I'd never do anything like that but I'm sorry..I had the thought.

I look at my little boy now and I see him with his daddy and nothing can beat that feeling.. DH is the best Daddy that I could have imagined and am so lucky 2 have them both Smile

Sorry for going on..once again but I just needed 2 share!!

Ahhh tazzy, that's just made me cry, I'm sure dh understands you didn't really mean what you said and that you were just angry about the situation. It's understandable to think that but now you have daniyal and it's all water under the bridge. IVF is such a hard thing to do, we are so lucky for it to have worked first time. I really feel for the people who have to keep going through it over and over.

Aww Tazzy, it's been a tough time but you've got the most amazing thing out of it! You've got your gorgeous little boy and you have your lovely dh too. I remember the endless negative pregnancy tests and thinking every month that maybe it would be our time. I can't believe how lucky we've been, as Hannah says, I can't imagine what it must be like for some people. Don't worry or feel guilty about your nasty thoughts, everyone has them from time to time, it's only human! Hannah's right, it was the situation you were angry at, not your dh. What you should be concentrating on now is your lovely little family - enjoy every minute of it!

Hannah - I hope things are ok with you. How is Alice getting on?

Hope everyone else is well and that all our gorgeous babies are ok!

Hi Katy, Alice is fine, her sleeping is great since she's been in her cot. Im thinking about r weaning her as she is still throwing up all the time and as a result still eats very 1.5-2 hours but not going to do anything till after Friday as she has her third jabs and sees the health visitor then so I'll discuss it with her.

Poor dh is having some drama at work but fingers crossed it will be sorted tomorrow so we shall see.

Where did you go on holiday? Glad you hada nice time, it is a shame about the weather, you can hardly believe it's July. How is maia doing? We shall have to start arranging another meet up soon Smile

Hi Hannah,

Sorry to hear Alice is having probs with feeding. I would have a chat with your HV before weaning. I was told to exclusively breastfeed for the first 6 months. My friend's baby was checked for lactose intolerance when he was throwing up lots. It might be reflux issues so your HV would be able to recommend something for you. Poor thing.

Hope everything is ok with dh's work. Fingers crossed.

This weather is driving me mad! I can't believe the year we're on mat leave is the worst summer ever! So much for those BBQs we were talking about earlier this year! Wink

Right, must get M up and dressed. We're running soooo late this morning!

Hi Katy, the health visitor told me last month they think it's reflux, they dont want to give her any medicine they just want to monitor her weight, were getting used to it to be honest, I just think she wants food, she cries when we eat or drink. Not going to do anything till after Friday when she next sees hv.
