hello lovely ladies,
im currently on holiday in sunny dorset, enjoying this gorgeous weather.
my nausea seems to be diminising, so its getting me a bit worried, hoping all is still well, still very tired and have to have my daily snooze, my partner says its because im all relaxed and holidaying that babies are nicely relaxed too.... i do hope so.
also ive come to the conclusion i am now officially the size of a house!!!!, my tummy is enormous, wearing jeans skinny or otherwise is a distant memory, and im now on elasticated waists, next stop, maternity clothes!!!
enjoy the weather ladies xx |

Hi hunnygal
Glad you are having a good holiday. We went to the coast last weekend and I have a week planned in the lakes in September.
I had last clinic scan today and saw our two little "pips" wriggling around. All looking fine and developing well. I can empathise with the clothing issue - I hate anything around my tummmy at the mo so very restricted in clothing. I want to wait till after 12 weeks to really get some clothes but that might be a struggle. A friend and neighbour of mine has given me some stuff but its mostly autumn winter.
Everyone is different with the sickness - some lucky ladies get none. I, unfortunately, have had awful sickness the last few days - the worst all evening, so I am trying any tips to keep it at bay as its just horrible and I hate feeling sick.
I think you and I will be similar times as my EDD is 1st March and I am waiting for my 12ish week appointment to come through too
How are you doing Lisa Bell? Fine I hope
Take care

Hi all,
Lisa thanks for setting up this thread... i would very much like to join it.
I had my first scan and we saw one tiny bean with a flicking heartbeat last thursday. I am almost 7 weeks so probably the last one on this thread just yet. I have been having a lot of nausea, but today i am doing really well especially compared to yesterday. Opening the fridge makes me nauseous and I am also getting really tired.
Best of luck throughout all our pregnancies!!!

Welcome snow white, Do you see midwife soon then? When is your due date? Glad the m/s has slackened off. My nausea has eased loads lately and symptoms have sometimes almost disappeared but i think i might just be gettin used to feelin constantly weird haha. I noticed today i got really dry skin around my tummy "random?"
Hope all is well with the rest of you ladies xxx |

Hi all. Welcome snow white.
I am getting really dry skin too and also noticed my eye sight is generally worse. I am still nausious pretty much all day but eating something small every hour or so which is helping. I cant wait to stop taking all these drugs in a few weeks.
How you doing hunnygal?
Have a good few days everyone. Nice to see the sun still shining this morning.Tracey x |

thanks everyone,
my stomach really hurts from nausea and yes i also feel weird most of the time. To be honest, I really hate this feeling.... I feel guilty saying it but it is so true. It's almost as if i am always sick, can't wait for the first three months to pass.
am trying to add a ticker, but not sure how? anyone knows?

Snow white
I know what you mean. I have always been quite afraid of pregnancy and I am not really enjoying it so far. It would be nice to feel more confident and be able to enjoy it though.
I think its normal to have all kinds of feelings and I am sure when we get to 12-14 weeks we will feel better about things. Just such a hard nerve wracking time with any preg and especially with IVF and with sickness on top, I think we just have to do whatever we need to get through the next few weeks.
Have ypu tried eating little bits of cards every hour? For me, cereals and things like toasted teacakes etc eaten every hour are really helping with the sickness. If I leave it longer than that it comes right back.
All the best

Thanks Tracey,
good to know that I am not the only one feeling like this.
I am running out of things to eat, it seems that nothing is looking interesting to eat anymore and like you said the longer i leave to eat, the worse I feel. What do you mean by little bits of cards to eat?!? |

oops, sorry meant carbohydrates....
I find I am off salads and veg etc but can stomach cooked eggs, chips, bread, teacakes and baked beans funnily enough etc. I really struggle in the evening as I dont fancy any of the meals I liked anymore and am off chicken etc. Makes food shopping a nightmare

Tracey funny you should say that my eye sight is strugglin a bit but thought it was due to the exhaustion from it all..... Amazin how something as small as a "kidney bean" can do all of this and i agree about the drugs its driving me crazy about these pessaries, am fed up hearing alarm every 12 hours hehe, am on countdown now til i can cut down on them
Snowwhite i am right there with you with "hating this feeling" soooo chuffed and blessed that I am lucky enough to be a mum in waiting but like each and every 1 of us cant wait til i start feeling better! At work today i felt absolutely fine all morning and since dinner time have felt sick as a dog!! I work in a Courtroom typing and there was no way i could sit in Court so requested the files come to the back office, that way i was closer 2 the ladies Oh well see what tomorrow brings eh ladies xx |

Hi ladies just thought i'd check in and update. What a week.... My boobies are ginormous, swollen and sore, went 2 marks to get measured who have had to order in as they dont stock in my size in meantime i feel like i got 4 boobs I am absolutely exhausted and an emotional wreck, broke down at work today as I am that tired, no matter how much sleep I get it doesn't seem better The girls at work say this is all normal and will pass but i blummin wish it'd hurry up about it
On top of all that the midwife has put back my first appointment from 7th to 14th so feel as if i am "lost"... sorry to moan but on here is the only place what normally puts my mind at ease xxx |

Hi all
Glad to say that i havent had any further bleeding but the doc did pick up that i have a UTI and slightly aneamic so i am on antibiotics and iron - all these pills pessaries and injections are endless but should be able to stop towards end Aug.
Got my nhs scan date through as 23rd Aug, a little later than hoped as i'll be almost 13 weeks but ok i guess. Just wanna get past this - big milestone for us as we had mmc at 12 wks 4 years ago.
I am still eating for England to try and minimise sicky feeling but had to get some maternity clothes as everything tighy now. How are you feeling about having twins hunnygal? It still scares me and still feel in shock!
Well, take care everyone. Hope the tiredness passes lisa. Maybe you need some iron too? have you had your bloods checked? You can buy spatone water sachets from boots you add to fruit juice and they are kind to stomach.
Take care

tracey- glad to hear bleeding has now stopped, must be reassuring for you, il b e glad to get by the 12 week milestone as well, be able to relax more, im sure we will all be fine
with regards to having twins, we couldnt be happier, absolutely thrilled, just the spiralling cost of 2 of everything thats getting me abit twitchy, but, im sure we shall manage, have already seen the double buggy we want, thats narrow and will fit through doors!!!, i dont want to start buying anything yet til after 12 week scan, but im having a good look at stuff online.
whats your thoughts on you having twins? xx |
