Little'un,
So pleased to hear your news - wow 8 fertilised - what a brilliant result. You should get 2 top class embies from that for transfer and probably some to freeze as well. Good luck with the ET - will that be in Notts as well? Hopefully as EC was such a breeze you will be much more relaxed when it comes to ET and that'll make all the difference.
Look forward to meeting you on the 27th. |

Hi Girls
LITTLUN That's wonderful news and a brilliant fertilization rate. Shame on you for doing the housework, how many times have I seen you tell people not to do housework, behave yourself and get some rest.
I am really happy for you and wish you loads of luck for your ET Thursday.
VIC Hope you are feeling better after the flu. I can't believe you are starting in a few days, bet you can't wait now. Have you had your last glass of wine yet if not make it a big un!
I'll text you soon.
CHELLE I don't mind where we go or what time, anythings fine by me.
Hi to everyone else, looking forward to seeing you all again. |

Littlun
FANTASTIC news - so pleased for you - told you you would get near on a 100% success rate - your man's swimmers must be top notch - tell him well done. Now you lady get on that settee and do not move until we tell you you can, do you hear me!!!???? You need to get some proper rest and TLC now ready to accept your precious load, so DO NOT do any more housework, or cooking, or ironing, or driving, or anything in fact - get your man to spoil you rotten, you deserve it. Take care of you!!!
Paz - Good luck for your EC - fingers crossed for a nice number of eggs for you - keep us posted won't you. Hopefully this time will be your turn too - I keep telling everyone that 2007 will be our year and it will!!!!
Carly - Hi mate. Yes, feeling much better thanks. Have 99% booked off next Tuesday from work so that I can make sure I get their in time - we will have to be in touch with each other to sort out travel arrangements etc. Yes, I have given up the drink and had a couple of large ones over the weekend, I cannot believe we start on Friday, it has come around so quickly - I will be in the dreaded 2WW before you know it (if things go OK obviously). Looking forward to seeing you and bump again on 27th - take care chick xx
Chelle - What are you like, you don't have a minute so why put extra pressure on yourself by offering to book our night out. I know youdon't mind but I would have helped if I had known you would be so busy. Thanks anyway though, I am really looking forward to it. I have almost booked the day off work, so should be OK to get their for 7 - if you need any help just let me know.
Deano - Good to hear from you - you seem to be have been a little distant recently, I hope you are feeling a little better and more positive. What a shame you cannot make the 27th - if ever you want to meet up for a coffee though, just give me a shout, you have my mobile number. Not long now to your tests and you will be cycling again before you know it. Just make the most of this little bit of time and try and enjoy yourself a little bit as when the IVF starts and then you get your BFP you will have no time then, EVER!!!!!
Marshmallow - Hope you are OK, not noticed you have been on for a while. Do you start the same day as me? Are yougoing out on 27th? Will be lovely to meet up with you again. Last time we met we were both at the clinic waiting for our test results - what a day, 15 September will stay etched in my memory for ever. Keep in touch.
Hi to the rest of you, hope you are all well and looking after yourselves.
Take care
Vic

Good Morning Ladies,
Hope that you are all well
I was just wondering if you could make room for another Buddy??
My DH & I are having TMT at CARE Sheffield. We had our 1st cycle IVF/ICSI Jan/Feb 07 but we got a BFN 18/02/07 so we're still feeling a little bit numb from it all & my emotions are still all over the place so still feeling a little bit why us??
We've just got to pick ourselves up & start over again now, so I've phoned CARE this Morning to book a review which we got a cancellation for next Wed so we'll see how it goes & where they say we can go from here. So I'm going to write down some questions between now & then because I'm useless if I don't write them down
Hopefully speak with you all very soon
Luv & Baby dust

Hi Sarah24,
Just posted you a message on T*ts thread, forgot you were a Sheff lady. Don't forget you are quite welcome to come to the meet on 27th as its the day before your review you may get some ideas of questions to ask. It will more than likely be at Centertainment somewhere and meeting at 7pm. Will understand if it is too soon after your BFN but it also helps to talk about these things believe me.
Vic - only 2 more sleeps til the jabbing starts - are you excited or nervous?
Littlun - posted you on T*ts too!
Carly / Eve / Carol - hope the bumps are ok (and you of course). Carol not long til your 20 weeks scan - is it before or after the meet?
Deano - think you have made your mind up but Notts sedation is great - me and the word pain don't go together and another reason why we are sticking to Notts for our next tx.
Chelle - good to see you again yesterday, as I said can't believe its so long since we met up - but we are both older and wiser and no longer IVF virgins.
Ah well I suppose I had better go and get some work done. Hi to anyone I've missed and see you next week.
LOL

Massive (((((HUGS))))) & a million thanks sweetie for every thing
House work beckons I've been on strike long enough & with no excuse now
Look forward to speaking with you later

Hi Sarah,
Thanks, Chelle is organising the proceedings and hopefully by the end of this week we should know the details. You know as much as us at the moment, but don't worry she will post on here about it.

Hi Sarah
Sorry about your BFN, most of us know how hard it is to deal with but like you say you have to pick yourself up and get on with it and you will get there eventually.
Nice to hear you are joining us on the night out, I'm sure you will pick up lots of info and help with what questions to ask.
Look forward to meeting you. |

Hi everyone,
My ET is tomorrow at 11am and the embrio news:
2 - 2 cell grade 2
1 - 3 cell grade 2
2 - 4 cell grade 1
1 - 4 cell grade 1
1 - 4 cell grade 2
1 - 5 cell grade 1
Really chuffed dh and I have a chat about when you are the dreaded 40 you can put in 3 but I really don't want to I think hey if its gonna work it will with 2. I really don't want any added complications after all I am only 5' 2" can you imagine if all 3 went full term I would be rather large and waddle even more than I do now.
Anyway can't wait for the meet next week will be fab to meet up with everyone.
Vic, Can't believe you are starting the old jabs in two more days how excited are you!!
Sarah, Nice to see you are coming to the meet next week. Really proud of you making that review appointment and saying you must move on. If you ever feel that black cloud coming down you bob on here as we are all here to listen.
Carly, Gosh now you are in double figures and not triple of days left how quickly your term has gone I can remember us talking about setting alarms to remember you taking your HRT tabs for your FET. I haven't touched the hoover today miss honest!
Sara, Posted you on the (.)(.)'s hun.
Carol, thanks for the txt hun just think this time tomorrow I will be carrying a little load.
Deano, The sedation was so good it really was but I am glad that all my monitoring has been at Sheffield and my test will be done at Sheffield too. Been told that as I will be on Clexane they will do a blood test I have to ring them tomorrow after the ET to book a date. Will you have your whole cycle at N'ham or just the EC & ET?
Eve, I had forgotten that you and Carly are due on the same day how are you feeling hun have you bought much?
Chelle, I think there are quite a few ladies wanting to have the EC & ET done at N'ham. I am really glad we decided to although tomorrow will be an early start off to Dr Zhao for 8:30 then N'ham but its will be worth it really want to have my acu done before going for the ET.
Calling Marshmallow where are you we miss you. |

Hi Girls
I have made a decision, at last I hear you mutter.
The Place - Frankie & Bennys
The Time - Meet 7pm and Eat 7.30pm
The Guests - Chelle, Sara, Carly, Vick, Eve, Littlun, Sarah, Carol - Who else have I forgotton!?!
So hope that is ok with everyone and I am really sorry for the person/people I have forgotton to put on the list, it is nothing personal I am just a very ditzy blonde (well not that blonde these days) Let me know if I have forgotton you and you will be put on the list pronto.
Deano I am so upset you cannot come, I know you have other arrangements and the next time we meet up you will have preference over the date.
Hope you are all well. I will wait a few days until I book our table incase there are people that need adding to the list and then will confirm everything with you all.
Vic thank you so much for offering to help. I am ok on my days off but as I work 10 and 12 hr shifts usually a working day consists of work, sleep and a bite to eat and there isn't much time for anything else. I am off after tonight until Sunday so will sort it out in my days off. Thank you anyway hun and I will shout if anything else needs doing.
Littlun a BIG congrats on 8 embies, thats great news. Now do as Carly says and rest up for tomorrow or we will all tell you off next week when we see you !!!!
Love to you all
Chelle

Hi girls,
I hope you are all well. Thanks for all your good wishes. This is a quick message and not very personal.
Littlun- Hun I thought your ET is today with the message I left on (.)(.) for you. It's my sedation (I can blame it on that today) .
Well I am very delighted to say that we have 5 eggs (Hooray)! This is a great improvement from last time when we got one egg and all the follies empty . I cannot describe how happy me and DH are that things went well this time. The consultant also drained my chocolate cyst so this may also be in our favour but whatever the outcome I am just ecstatic today and wanted to share it with you.
I am going to have some more rest now and will keep you posted tomorrow when we get the call. I have to start the horrid cyclogest tonight so lots of wind again (hehe) .
Love you all xxx |

Hello all
Sarah – welcome to the thread hun. I am so sorry to hear about your BFN, time is a great healer and you have made the right decision making your review appointment, you need to make sure you look forward and not back. I am not able to go to the meet next week but I am sure I will meet you ant the next one xxx lots of (((hugs)))
Littlun – woweeee!!!!! That’s brill news hun, it has to be your cycle!! Is this a 2dt or 3dt? I heard they do more 3dt at Notts – is that right? We are defo going to have EC & ET at Notts but have the rest of the tx at Sheffield, I know them so well there now and I know they are so supportive. Good luck for tomorrow, I am sure it will all go ok. Do you have sedation for ET too? I have never really found that too bad.
Paz – well done with those 5 eggs! That’s fantastic, well done!! Keep resting and try not to poop to much with the blessed cyclogest – hee hee just remember….. LOL!!!
Chelle, don’t worry I will make sure I can come to the next meet, just hope it won’t be too far away, maybe around May time? Thanks for thinking about me.
Sara – when are you planning on having your next go?
Vic – I am very up and down at the moment. I am dreading the blood tests next week as I have really crappy veins and then there is the anticipation of the results. I blew up last night with DH, I am so bad a bottling things up. I am just so peed off with this taking over our lives, we agreed that if this next one doesn’t work then we may call it a day depending if we still feel the same, and then look into adoption. But next week I may feel totally different. How are you feeling? Hope you have lots of PMA!! I am for you (and everyone else of course!) xx You are on LP this time aren’t you? I may take you up on that offer for a coffee, I will be in touch but I seem to be so busy at the moment, I thought being part time would be less hectic but there is always something else to do!
Marshmallow – where are you????
Hello all you pg ladies and anyone else I have missed. |

Hi Girls
Sarah - welcome to the Sheffield thread. We are all here for the same reason, our longing for a family, I consider that we are special as we have to go that extra mile to get our dream, and that involves disappointment along the way. I know things are still really raw for you at the moment, and believe me, I (we all) know exactly how you feel - I still cannot go into Mothercare and our BFN was last September, but things do get easier I can promise you that, and the ladies on this board are amongst the most special people in my life - they help you to get therough the good and the bad days, so please, when you are feeling low please come on here we will try and help you. It will be great to meet you next week and I am sure that all of the girls will have words of wisdom and support for you. My DH and I are due to start our second cycle on Friday and to be honest I don't know if I am as optimistic as our last tx or not - we know what to expect and that is not always a good thing - are you planning on a second attempt? Good luck with whatever you decide to do and will see you next week.
Deano - Sorry you are still feeling down some days, I know what you mean though about the IVF taking over your life, there is not a single day gone by since we found out we needed IVF which was 3 years ago, that I have not dreamed about a family, and the lengths we have to go to get what we want is just awful. In answer to your question about am I excited, the answer has to be no - to be honest mate, I am actually dreading it this time around, I feel so emotional at the moment and I think that is just the apprehension of it all - we know what to expect and we know the hurt we all feel at different stages along the way - I don;t know, perhaps I am just feeling sorry for myself - sorry to whinge on. Not long to go until your tests now, and I know you are not looking forward to them, but at least that may give you some answers so that your next treatment can be more tailored and that will ensure you get your BFP for keeps - keep your chin up and let me know when you want to meet up for that coffee. You lucky thing only working part-time - .......... if only!!! Take care.
Littlun - Bloody fantastic news, what class A embies you have - that has proper made me smile and brought a tear to my eye. You so deserve this, you really do and I am praying for your dream I promise you. I hope you are taking it easy now and not doing too much - good luck for your transfer tomorrow, I will be thinking of you.
Chelle - Thanks for organising 27th, Frankie and Benny's sounds just great to me. I am really looking forward to it, it will be lovely to see all my buddis again and to catch up. Have you decided when you are cycling again. I think I remember you saying March, but my memory is like a sieve so apologies if I have got this wrong.
Paz - Great news sweetie on the 5 eggs, that is so much better than last time. You have not got far to go now and then you can enjoy being PG - good luck honey - let us know how they all fertilise tomorrow - keeping everything crossed for you honey.
Carly - Great to hear from you again - I am so pleased you PG ladies feel comfortable to come on here - I really am going to need your support mate, I am feeling a little bit sorry for myself and quite negative at the moment. Will have a good catch up on 27th - we can always meet a bit earlier if you want and call for a coffee somewhere prior to the meet? Let me know. I am off Tuesday and am having my hair cut (yes I know ................. again!!!!) but then am free in the day time? See you soon mate x
To all you other ladies - hope you are all looking after yourselves.
Take care
Vic

Hello ladies!!!
I'm back!!!!!! My wonderful DH had decided to go and change our internet provider and lo and behold we haven't had broadband for over a week and wow, don't I miss you lot!!
I should be ok for next week, but can't really confirm at the moment as my mum hasn't been too well and so I've been popping over to see her most evenings to check she's ok. She's more or less over the op she had but she's still not too steady on her feet and I'm too much of a wittler not to keep an eye on her, so I'll let you know closer to the day.
Wow, lots have happened since I last came on. Fantastic news for Littleun, with all those Grade 1's!! This'll be the lucky one honey, I'm sure. Congratulations to you too Paz!! We're going to be pregnant too this year!
Vic, I notice that you start jabbing on Friday. My day is Sunday because of my late AF, but I'm all excited and got my delivery last Friday, so checked everything and as usual they'd not sent the full order. This time I'm short on ampule snappers but I expect I can ask Care if they'll give me some. I did ring the Pharmaceutical Company on Saturday morning and left a message for them to call me at work on Monday but they've not been back to me so I'm a bit miffed at that...
Good luck to everyone !!

Hi girls,
I hope you are all well.
Vic and Marshmallow and everyone else from old CH- Thanks for your good wishes. It means a lot.
As for us I got my call half hour ago and all our 5 eggs have fertilised . DH and I are so happy as you can imagine. I keep giving myself a pat on the back for producing 5 eggs with just one ovary . We are considering blastocyst this time because it may increase our chances if they survive. Has anyone got any advice on this?
I am going to have a bit of rest and try to calm down a bit as my hands are shaking with excitement!! I will come on line later for another chat.
Love you all

That's fantastic news Paz!! Calm down and enjoy the moment!! We're all proud of you and hopefully you'll be able to get some frosties as well !! Ooh, its exciting isn't it!!! Will you be having ET on Monday next week? I'll keep everything crossed that it'll be fine and you'll have 5 Grade 1's by then! I can't give advice on blastocyst as I had a 2 day last time, but told them I would prefer a 3 day for this cycle (but I was told it depended on what day the EC was - i.e. a Friday EC meant a Monday ET - 3 days instead of 2).
I got on to the Pharmaceutical Company again this morning and spoke to a lovely girl who is sending me loads more snappers out in tonight's post, so I'm not worrying about them any more. 'Cos I'm doing Gestone jabs instead of pessaries this time (and Gestone comes in glass vials too) I was panicking about running out but now I should have plenty. I'm a bit worried about the needle situation for Gestone though as all I've been sent are the pink mixing and yellow injecting needles and surely as Gestone is done intra-muscularly (i.e. in my bum so my DH is having to do them - frightening!!) I'd have thought they'd need to be longer to get through my blubbery backside?? I'm going to ring Care in a bit to find out if I need some different needles for that bit. The Clexane I'm having to have for the clotting problem is already in a syringe ready for me to inject so that's ok.
Anyway, I'm car-less at the moment as I took it in this morning 'cos of a strange grating sound from the back end, and they have advised I don't drive it until the problem (a bearing) is fixed, so they kept it at the Garage!! Oops!! I've been bombing around at 70 (ish) on the M1 with that noise for the last 4 weeks!! I'm hoping I get it back tomorrow afternoon if not I'm in doo-doo as we live in the back of beyond and I need transport to get to work in Sheffield, as well as to check up on my mum who is a 20 minute drive away!
Well as I'm stranded in the house I suppose I'd better do some housework.....after all, when I'm on the 2ww I'll be sat directing my DH how to use the vacuum cleaner! Hehehe!!
Take care and wishing everyone love and luck

Littleun,
Congrats with the 3 little passengers safely on board, and I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you! I'm sure this time you'll be fine and will be cuddling your bundle(s) of joy by next Christmas!!
Keep the faith, let's all be positive we'll each get a BFP this time, and good luck to everyone!!
