How exciting more babies, making me feel much more positive.
Wendy thats a good sign that you feel pregnant.
Oh and we are moving back to Doncaster in May to try to sell out house, that way we can get settled over in West Yorkshire in our own home rather than renting, Hopefully will get to see a bit more of you ladies then xx |

wendy, hope things are turning out for the better, i know you have had some bleeding.
i went to hospital yesterday as midwife thought baby had increased in size such a lot in 2 weeks so wanted it double checking. scan shows baby to be round about 9lb ish at the moment, so just hoping she comes soon.
juliette. thanks for your calming advice over last few days, and weeks and months!! lol. you have been a star!

Yes, got a BFP, but had spotting from Weds and today had full blown AF. Still got a line on test, but my digital only said 1-2 today and I should be 2-3, so not holding out much hope. Looks like it will be the same as my first cycle where I lost the baby before 6 weeks. Got a scan booked at Care for 12th when I should be 6 weeks just to confirm if lining gone etc.
Pretty crap really!

Hi Sooty, OTD was yesterday, but I did 2 clear blues! lol. I was 18 days post EC (so 18 days post conception), so it should have been 2-3 weeks. Still bleeding quite a lot, lots of period pains, so I really believe that this is the same as my first cycle unfortunately. I daren't let myself believe it would be anything other than that.
How exciting for you though! Looks like you may have conceived on Olivia's birthday! lol

I spoke to Care on Friday which was my OTD (I'd called them on Wednesday when I started bleeding and just got told off for testing early!). Basically I told them about my first cycle, so the nurse didn't sound too hopeful, just said to test every few days and let them know if it goes negative, but have a scan booked in for Monday 12th when I should be 6 weeks, which is just for me to confirm that it's gone really.
Good luck! Will you pay for a private early scan or wait until 12 weeks?

hi ladies
wendy, so sorry your feeling so negative, are you still bleeding? i will stay pray there is a little heart beating on your scan.
sooty how are you feeling? i didnt dare test till my af was a week late as i was convinced id never be pregnant. look at me now! lol we know how precious it is to even get a sniff of a bfp we never stop worrying!
well im still hanging on to my little lady, due a week tomorrow. i have ordered a new mobile to be delivered tomorrow so i need to be in to sign for it, so i hoping sods law might make it happen today/tomorrow! lol.

Sooty, lol at the wind, I was always like that. Glad you have a sympathetic GP who will refer you to EPAU.
Tracy, hope baby tcr comes soon. I'm sure she'll be fine.
Keeley hope you're ok. Are you thinking of trying for another (sorry if I've missed something can't go back a page!).
Zoe, hmmm, I never had any frosties, so wouldn't know about the letter. Number 4 sounds like a big commitment!
As for me, well it's all over, I was bleeding for over a week and did a digital test this morning and it said not pregnant, so I cancelled the scan that was scheduled for Monday. My aunty died on Tuesday as well after a long battle with cancer, so that's another blow. Plus the extension was started on Monday, so house is full of dust, despite there not being any actual work in the house yet! lol.
Anyway, not feeling great, but you have to get on with it. I'm feeling extremely negative about my final cycle. I've booked a telephone review with Dr Shaker on 13th April (Friday, but I'm not superstitious about that!), so may start May time, depending on AFs. Kind of want to just get it out of the way if you know what I mean, then move on with my boy if I'm only destined to have him.

So sorry to hear that its all over. It's heartbreaking when you get bfp only to start bleeding sion after. It happened to me in august after Nat bfp.
Hope you are ok esp with the loss of your aunt as well. Xxx

I wanted to update you all on our pregnancy news, we had a high Downs result at the NT scan 1 in 85 chance. We wasnt going to have the test but was pestered into it by the consultants Registra.
We went to see another Consultant to discuss the results and he agreed we shouldnt have needed the NT as the PGD would have been more conclusive than the NT tests, he was disgusted in the way we were treat by the Registra and offered us to go to London for a scan to try to reassure us that baby was ok.
We went for the scan this Thursday and all looked ok with the baby chromosonally, no indicators to say baby could have Downs. The girls who scanned us were laughing and joking and sure all was ok. The Consultant came in and said she would check too. She detected something wrong with babies heart and stomach, they were in the wrong place. They think baby has a diaphragmatic hernia, where the stomach and intestines are pushed up behind the heart and it means the babies lungs cant grow. The survival rate at birth is just 40/50% and could be as little as 10%, but in this case they can operate on me at 26 weeks and place a balloon in babies throat to help the lungs to grow. Either way our precious baby will need to be put on ventilation straight after birth and they will operate if stable enough. We are back in London in two weeks for them to confirm the condition. There is a fairly high chance baby could also have a syndrome that babies with CDH also carry.
We are devastated and Im not sure how Im meant to function. After all we have been through how can this be? It is just one of those freak things that can happen to anyone. Im not sure how Im meant to face people asking about the pregnancy knowing our baby might not live more than 24/48 hours after birth. All we can do is hope. Sorry to post but I need to talk to people about this or I fear I will go mad xx |

oh lou, im devastated for you honey. i had to read it twice to get my head around it.
maybe in hindsight it is better that you had the nt scan to be able to prepare for what is to come? but then it would be spotted at 20 week scan anyway? i really dont know what to say? its just unbelievable after all you have been through.
like juliette says, try and hold out till you go to London again to get more detail. as for people asking about your pregnancy - its so difficult! do you start saying things arent looking too great or try and put a brave face on, i really dont know. maybe it depends on what you would do if the outcome was worse than was thought? i wish i could help you more but im just stunned as what to say. are you off work hun?
