Hi there Bethan,

I am feeling brave and thought i would come and join you. Have took some time from the BB as i have found the whole waiting for scans bit really stressful, especially with all the sad news on the thread. Have had my booking appt this morning and my NT scan last friday. Got another NT scan this friday as the consultant likes to do them too. I wasnt going to argue as i will se baby again which is so reasurring.

Glad everything is ok with you. Have you been to the new kiddicare yet. It looks massive and will definatly be paying a visit.

Hope to see some more bunnies over here soon.

Thanks for checking up on us Jazz - good to hear from you and you'll be here before you know it!

City chic, Reds, and Sarah - I feel like a kid on the first day of school! Thanks for making us welcome over here - it feels so good to join the 'grown up' IVF ladies IYKWIM!

Claire - great to see you over here today too - how was the scan? Did they give you an EDD - I'll add you to the front page too. I did pop into Kiddicare rcently (not for anything for me) and my eyes popped out my head it was so big....and I only looked at the ground floor!!! There's a coffee shop so may take Mum for a girlie trip soon - not that I'm going to need much - more likely I need to sort through the loft first!!

Hi Ladies,

Gosh I cant believe im over here. Cant quite believe I have made it to this point. The midwife asked me before I was scanned this morning how many weeks I was...I had to really think before I opened my mouth...I still think in my head Im about 9 or 10 weeks...I know 12 weeks isnt that much further ahead but it's that elusive stage that every NHS doctor seems to harp on about!

My EDD is 24 November and I have my next dating scan on 29 May...I will be 14w 2d then and will have measurements etc done.

Very very happy to be here and cant wait to start to feel wriggler, wrigglering!

Thanks for setting up our new home Bethan.

Love

Claire G X

Welcome over here Claire! And yes you are in the right place! You're lucky getting another scan - mine wont be til 20 weeks but I'll be seeing my consultant on the 23rd so hoping he has a doppler ready! He's the same bloke that did all my monitoring while I was stimming so be good to see him when I have a bump!

Thanks for looking in on us Jo - Paul and Mika look great in their hats!

So after my dd seems to have told the ENTIRE school that she is to be a big sister! I have had 5 people now ask me if it's a mistake as Carys will be 6 when the baby comes and presumably that was not intentional!!!

How do I tell them to mind their own business?
I'm inclined to point out there was no accident with all the drugs, scanning a la legs a kimbo early in the morning, accidentally dropping some eggs in the lab in Nottingham, DH accidentally 'producing' into the same petri dish......and as for these stupid pessaries that have accidentally fallen inside of me every night for the last 2 and a half months!!!!!

No I just laugh and say I don't like to rush things!

Us IVF girls just don't have the same thought patter as those 'normal' people out there!!!

Hope you okay out there today Claire and Claire!

Oh good grief! Would I really have been so insensitive and tactless if I hadn't been through IVF? I hope not!

Well done Bethan for rising above it, not so sure I could have done!

Thanks for your comment about my rascals too!

Hi Ladies,

Bethan:- People have no idea! I went to have my hair done today and my pregnant hairdresser (30wks) is already talking about her next one...just like that...I think it's quite nice to have the age difference you will have, and im sure your daughter will get so much more from the new baby than if she had been 2 or 3 years old, she will now be able to fully understand the big sister role. Sod em all, that's what I say!

Im slept for 10 hours yesterday...when does this surge of energy kick in!?

Hi to Mollycat too!

Love Claire G x

Evening Ladies,

Just to follow on from Bunjack and the playground comments.... I took Hector & Tobey to a Play & Stay morning yesterday when an asian woman shouted from across the room, "are they identical" to which I ignored her as I was completing forms and speaking to a member of staff who, quite rudely, answered for me..... and then she said "were they IVF or natural"..... well the look was enough..... not too sure she'll be wanting to know the ins and outs from us again !!!!!! I just turned to the member of staff I was sat with, who had go my back up already by breaking off from our conversation to answer the other ignorant runt across the room, and said "what sort of ridiculous question is that to ask someone you have never met before".... she just looked all embarassed........ Oh there are some silly people.

And I was 13 and my brother 16 when our twin brothers were born......so what difference does it make !!!!!!

Enjoy your pregnancies ladies the time really does fly by way too quickly.

Hi there,

Just managing to post before we go on holiday for a week, can wait but hate all the packing. Had NT scan today and all the measurement put me at low risk. Got some really nice pics too. Hopefully I can relax a bit now but not sure if i can. Next appt at 16 weeks with community midwife.

Bethan - My DS is only 3 but he has told loads of people i am having a baby, he is so excited and keeps asking when the baby will be here. My edd is 26th nov.

Claire - How are you finding the doppler? I am thinking of getting one. Think it may stop me worrying between scans and appts. Will be glad when i can feel the kicks!

Hi to all the other mummies who have made us so welcolme. Look forward to chatting to you all

Jazz - hi there, how are you getting on? Good luck for you scan next week. I get so nervous before scans and today my heart was racing.

Well bye for now and see you after my hols.

Hi all Bunnies -

Been off here for a few days, hectic time. But still enjoying being pg and rubbing my imaginary bump!

Claire G - wow at your hairdresser! One of the mums in the playground is due similar time to us and she had her last baby in January - mind you she was one of the ones who didn't ask if it was an accident! Thinking about it dh is 9 years younger then his sister so it could run in the family!!

Lisa - lovely to hear from you and what a gorgeaous photo of James. So glad to be following you down the succesful route all be it not at the same time!

City Chic - can't believe peole would ask things so openly! I suppose I should be grateful they just think we've got an accident rather than knowing what we've been through!!!

Jan and Janette - thanks for your nice comments too.

Claire - Hope you're hving a lovely holiday - want to hear all about it when you get back!

Jazz - good to hear from you - that scan is getting ever closer.

So busy times here - looks like I'm about to become Chair of Governors at Carys' school so that'll keep me busy. Not sure how that will pan out when bubs appears but we'll worry about that later on. We've been interviwing today and I love doing that!
It was my birthday on Saturday - suddenly struck me I'm just sneaking this baby in before I turn 40 (!!) We also had a quick look in the loft - think we have most baby stuff we need. DH got down my bag of maternity clothes so that was good to think I have some basic stuff although it may be a little old hat now - it still looks comfortable!
Sunday my Mam and I did the Race for Life and we raised over £500 between us so we were well impressed - have to stress we both walked!!!

Nothing much to report on bump but off to hospital to see the consultant on Friday so looking forward to hearing the h/b again. And the best news.....I've finished my pessaries!!!!!! Just wondering when the 'leaks' stop?

Hope all other Bunnies and everyone else ok. DH is in Scotland again so early night with chocolate sounds good!

Just a quickie - Been out to a meeting tonight and when my Mam put Carys to bed, she asked if I could give her a goodnight kiss when I got home and she put a spare kiss on her bookshlf for me to give to my bump too as she wanted to say goodnight to her brother / sister!
Bless!

Hope you are all well - hump day tomorrow have a good one.

Well here I am joining you at last ..... and after the initial shock of yesterday feeling much much more positive about everything!

Bethan can you pop me on the front .. EDD is 28th November .. they put me at 3 days further on than Care! So now officially 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant!

I am now feeling very positive about the one little beanie that is growing so well inside me and my sister is convinced we were only having two so that this one had company until it was strong enough to manage on its own!! A nice way to think of it! Yesterday was sad but as DH and I said we only ever went into this hoping to have A baby so this is our dream come true! I am also feeling more relaxed that my body will naturally deal with the other one and it will not affect my strong bean! Anyway what will be will be and now I am getting on with being excited at being PREGNANT .. have started to tell all our friends who are just shouting from the rooftops with excitement!

Anyay quick one as off away again for the weekend but will catch up again next week.

Tors - great to see you and your beanie over here. I like the ticker with a note re only 6 months to go! Sounds great.
I've added you to the front - I've been able to use Jaynes pictures as she started us off with these so thought be good to use the original style bunnies we all had!
Have a great weekend - where are you hitting this time?

Did cycling with the Year 6's at school today - great fun! My nephew has been round doing some jjobs for me like cutting the grass and starting to paint the garden furniture so that's been a great help. haven't been in the garden much this year yet so might have that pencilled in for the weekend!

Hope everyone is okay.

Hi Bunnies

Sorry for not being around much but these last few weeks have been difficult & I am afraid that reading sad entries on the BB was making me feel worse.

Claire (Mollycat) – Glad to hear that your NT scan went well. Hope you have had a lovely holiday.

Bethan – Hope your appointment with your consultant went well today. Sorry to hear how insensitive some people are, I can’t believe they asked you whether it was intentional. Lucky you not having to do pessaries anymore, I can’t wait till I can stop using them.

Claire_G – Good luck with your scan next week. I like you can’t wait to feel the babies moving.

Tors – I am so sorry to hear about your twin, I am glad that the other little beanie is doing well. You sound very positive & I love the way your sister thought of it. Hope you have a great weekend away.

Well my bleeding finally stopped last Friday, so we have had none for week now. Not that seems to have stopped me knicker checking though. My blood tests came back with low platelets, so I now have to see another consultant about that on 5th June & may need a platelet transfusion if they haven’t improved. Mr Davies won’t stitch my cervix until they have improved. Apart from that the twins are doing very well & completely unperturbed by what there mum has been going through. On the plus side we have been having weekly scans due to the bleeding, We had our nuchal scan on Monday & we seem to be low risk but have to wait for the blood tests to confirm this. I am now trying my best to enjoying being pregnant & hoping the rest of this pregnancy will run more smoothly.

My EDD is 5th December but I think they are likely to be earlier than that.

Love Tania xxx
