Hi Ladies,
Did some of you have a meet up??
Geo (Emma) :- Hope you got the problems with the nursery sorted out??
Tors:- Lovely that your DH is hime safe and Freya recognised him, must have been lovely to watch. Sorry to hear about your DH friend X Im away end of Sept too, but long haul for us...no idea how we will get on on a 9 - 10 hour flight!!!! I have bought some new, small sized toys to put in hand luggage for Joseph that I wont show him till the flight and I plan to take some old favourites too. Im not too worried, lots of my Mummy friends went away this summer on flights and all of them said it was far easier than expected...hope so!!
Sara:- Im so sorry to hear about your beloved dog, how are things? I know the pain of having to make that awful decision, it is never easy and unfortunately it is the hardest part of being a doggy mummy. Big hugs ((())). I didnt know you had lost your first son, im sorry for you loss. X
Jazz:- Great photos af Arthur, so cute and love the walking videos on FB, he is so clever!! Hope you had a nice time with your Mummy friend X
Hi to Beth, Bethan and Lorraine...lovely to see your updates on FB
Joseph learnt how to clap his hands today!! For those on FB, I have uploaded a little video! I went out with my 'Mummy Mates' last night, tapas and chat! And brill DH sorted Joseph out this morning and I had my first lie in for ages and ages...till 10.15. Felt like I had been on holiday when I woke up, very refreshed! Still on my breastfeeding course and had my first assesment yesterday. Joseph still breast feeding but much less and at times not much at all apart from the first morning feed...6 teeth now so we have to get the position just right ! I hope he doesnt stop till after our hols as I think it could be very useful to be able to breastfeed him on the long flight.
Off to bed I think....doesnt it feel autumn like, a real reminder that our babies are fast approaching 1...........just cant get my head round that at all!!
Love

Hi all -
Not a long message but feeling really guilty for neglecting everyone here for so long and my little boy is 10 months today and such an angel!
Was wondering about the birthday concept for a meet - I know some of us have school age children so would a meet over half term (w/b 26th Oct) work for anyone? I could do any day except the Monday (Cary's birthday) - suggest we try to find an indoor based place - possible a soft play place in or about Nottinghamish? Jazz - well be in our new house by then so loads of room for you if you wanted to stay?
Or any other ideas please suggest - shame not to meet in honour of their birthdays!
Hope all are well,
Bethan x |

Hi Ladies very quick. We are back from Spain but have so much to do. Arthur was great on the plane and slept most of the way. No complaints at all. I will catch up later when all washing and unpacking is done.
Shar, my last name is kenney. I think I am on there as Jasmine Kenney or Jazz kenney. |

Hello Everyone
I hope you are all well. There have been a few of you on holiday recently - I hope you've all had a lovely time.
Jazz - I hope you enjoyed your hol in Spain. I was v. impressed with your photos of Arthur walking - he looks so cute!
Bethan - I'm pleased to hear you're moving house soon. I'd love to meet up with everyone again during the half term week.
Tors - I hope you are having a lovely time with Freya and DH now that he's home.
Shar - I'm glad Finn is doing well at nursery. We got our first painting from Rachael last week - 2 hand prints!
Sara - I was sorry to hear about your dog. It's so diffucult to decide what to do in those circumstances.
Claire G - your night out and lie sound lovely - I could do with both! Is your holiday soon?
Lozza and Beth - I hope you are OK too.
Rachael has been at nursery for 3 weeks now and they say she's settled in well - still won't drink the milk I've expressed for her so I've stopped sending her with it. I'm still not 100% happy with the nursery but it was the best one I visited and they seem to take good care of her. We're off to the US in just over a week to visit my brother and his wife. We're also in the process of trying to buy a barn to convert on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales - our new home! DP is working abroad for 3 weeks so I've been busy sorting stuff out for the holiday, trying to complete a v. complicated mortgage application and working 3 days a week, as well as the usual housework etc. I don't think I can carry on much longer at this pace before I burn out!
I really must go onto facebook!

Hi Ladies,
Major quick one!! As we have a real early start in the morning as we are flying to Florida!!!!
Just wanted to say hi and check in!
Shar:- Love your 'PS - baby number 2' post! Maybe we'll be cycle buddies again!! Lovely to hear from you X
Bethan:- Meet sounds like a plan!
Jazz:- Glad the plane journey went well...gosh I really hope Joseph sleeps tomorrow on the flight!
Emma:- The barn conversion sounds very exciting!! Thought I would let you know that from a lot of ladies that I have spoken with that Bfeed, their babies will/would not take breast milk from anything other than a boob! So Rachael is not alone in that one.
Right, I need my bed and so sleep.
We have internet at the house in Florida, so I will check in if I get chance.
Love

Hi Ladies,
Wow took a while to find us. It has been ages and we were on page 6.
Sorry I have not been on for a while just so so busy.
Arthur is doing really well and afetr our holiday he got a bit of a cold which cleared up quickly. DH has also been ill and is driving me mad at home. We have decorated the spare room and it is now a play/guest room. Arthur loves it.
My sisters husband is in hospital with very severe pancreatitus. He has been in for a week and is now in intensive care. It is looking very serious so I have been up and down the M25 to help look after her children. She is putting a very brave face but she is really struggaling. Her eldest has just started school and her youngest is only 2. She is also 6 months pregnant. My mum is haveing to deal with my grandmother who has been asked to move homes because the £2000 a week home she is in say that she is getting to much because she likes to go out for a walk. The new home is a lot further away. This has just added to the stress of everything.
Went into work yesterday to pay for Christmas night out and have been kicked out of my office to make way for a new manager and becasue I ma on Mat leave they never thought to consult me. I am now in a pokey little office with no window and sharing with someone else. Not great when I have very confidential files. Not making me feel that I want to go back.
Good news, My younger sister is getting married in April, My sister in Law is getting married in June. Two weddings to look forward to.
We have decided to go for FET. Thinking about natural FET as periods are regular and progesterone levels are good. I think I will ask for Progesterone support anyway just to be on the safe side. Not sure if they will give it to me though. Have an appouintment on 28th.
Best friend coming to saty this weekend and a bunch of us are going to go out for drinks tomorrow for a pre birthday night out. Really looking forward to it.
Must go because Arthur is starting to wake up.
Sorry no personals. Love to you all and you babies.

Hi girlies,
Well I am back at work, I went back last week and to be honest I'm really enjoying it. Phe is quite clingy at the mo so I think it will be good for both of us. She is just a total delight, such a happy baby. Trying her best to walk, eating everything in sight but still no teeth bless her.
Jazz, love the piccy's I will post some of ours when I get chance. We went to Egypt and the kids absolutely loved it, they were so good. I can sympathise with you about things changing at work. I too have been kicked out of my office that I shared with 2 older girls but we had such a scream. I have got a bigger office but I do miss the company.
How is everyone else? Have any of you been away on hols?
I will post personals when I am at home and have had time to read back through the posts.
Loads of Love Sara xx |

Hi Ladies
Gosh how time flies and i can't even think of what i have been doing
Jazz your holiday pics look lovely, it look as though you had a lovely time. Sorry to hear that you have had your office changed its hard enough going back to work but when things change it's even harder. Wishing you every luck and magic and anything else for the 28th and your FET i will keep everything crossed for you.
Sara, glad all is well with you all and you had a lovely holiday and that your enjoying being back at work.
Hope everyone else is really well and having lots of fun with their little ones.
Everything is well here, Archie is just sprouting teeth everytime i look he has a new one and he is furniture walking already we have Archie proofed the house but he is drawn to my cooker because he can see his reflection in it so i need a moment of genius to come up with a plan to stop him getting into the kitchen bit hard as it's all open plan.
I popped into work to discuss a few things before i go back and all was ok, things have cdhanged alot so bit nervous about going back but it's not till January so have a bit more time yet.
Doeas anyone have any ideas on how i can get my little man to eat lumps in his meals? I have tried all sorts but he just won't play ball, he has dropped his afternoon bottle but still he shakes his head as soon as he sees the spoon and clamps his mouth shut until the yogurt comes out then he is happy!!!!
Will catch up properly soon as i have a thrilling night of ironing to do as my family look like they are from the cast of Oliver!
Love Lorraine xx |

Hi Ladies,
We had a great time in Florida. I put a thread up with some photos. Joseph got much more out of it than we expected and we are now hooked!!
Jazz:- Sounds like you have a lot on at the moment. Pants on the work stuff chick, but how exciting about your FET!!!! Im soo excited for you! Where do you have treatment, I know you live such a distance from the Care clinics. What are you planning to do with Arthur when you have your consultation/transfer? Lovely photos by the way X
Sara:- Glad you are enjoying work X
Lozza:- Joseph is the same re sprouting teeth! He too, just this week has made the decision he isnt doing lumps..however toast and sandwiches etc are fine?! I guess thats him feeding himself though, it's all probably a stand on them trying to be independant.
Joseph has just started to crawl, and now only breastfeeds first thing in the morning and before bed. He took 100mls of cows milk from his cup today, he has sipped it in the past but today he positively enjoyed it. He had his afternoon nap straight after it and I sat on the stairs having a little private cry. Ive been the 'milk provider' for 10 months, im fast becoming redundant. It's nice in some ways and a necessity to move on and try for a brother or sister for Joseph, but all the same it's a hard reminder that my baby boy is growing up. Im filling up again!!
Hope everyone is well,
Love

Hello Everyone
The months are just flying by and I can't believe our little ones are nearly one!
Claire - Rachael has been quite difficult with food for the last few weeks - one day she'll eat toast, the next day not etc etc with all of the things I offer her. Some days a spoon is OK and other days it's mummy I'm feeding myself by hand and making a big mess! I was thinking of trying Rachael with sips of cow's milk to get her used to the taste. She'll still take breast milk any time it's offered, but I'm gradually cutting out mid-morning and mid-afternoon feeds to encourage her to eat more. I don't think she wants to give it the breast milk though! Your photos on the other post are lovely - glad you had a wonderful time!
Jazz - your photos are lovely too. It sounds like things are pretty stressful at the moment. I hope you manage to find the time to put your feet up occasionally. The FET is very exciting.
Sara - I know what you mean about going back to work. I really enjoyed work today, but still feel guilty about leaving Rachael at nursery for 10hrs.
Lozza - Rachael is doing exactly the same thing with our cooker. I haven't come up with a way to keep her away from it either. She tries to put her face right up to the glass.
Bethan - have you moved house yet?
We got back from our hols in the US on Monday. I can't say it was as relaxing as holidays without a baby but that was mainly because Rachael was unpredictable about what she would eat and some days she only seemed to eat properly at breakfast. She was always very cheerful though and was no trouble on the flight. Claire - we also did lots of shopping in Gap! DP left us at the airport on Monday to work abroad for 3 more weeks. We're missing him loads. Meanwhile I'm working, looking after Rachael and dealing with the paperwork for the barn conversion to try to complete our purchase. I mentioned the idea of trying another cycle of IVF to DP and he didn't say no! The thing is that I'm 37 and worried about leaving it too long before trying again. However, I'm also worried that the stress of the barn conversion project makes it a bad time to try again. Not sure whether to go for it or not.

Thought I'd better catch up on here now that the 1 year birthdays have started.
Firstly I must apologise for my lack of posts on here.
So update from us......
Alexander turns 11 months next week and he's weighing in at a whopping 25lbs 12ozs already. A very SOLID little boy. My arm of steal is getting stronger everyday!!!
He's bags of fun and makes me smile/laugh everyday withhis antics. He's taken his first steps and gaining confidence everyday. He has said mama today for the first time to me and he's into everything. He's loving nursery and comes home most weeks with more paintings or cards. My fridge is full of his artwork.
I will try much harder to come on here more regularily from now on.
Love to you and your bubbas.

Hi Bethan
Just a quick message to say happy birthday to Gethin for tomorrow. I've got your skype address on my list of contacts - maybe we could have a chat and hold Gethin and Rachael up to the camera some time!

Hi Ladies, Hope all is well.
Happy Birthday to Gethin for tomorrow. Time is really flying.
We have ET on Saturday if they survive the defrost. Please don't comment about it on Facebook as no one knows about it and friends with people at work on there. Thanks Ladies.
Love to you all. |
