Hi all
Sounds like we are all well , sneaking on at work hehe
Well my god how hot has it been last night i was so irritable nearly had to sit naked in the house
Had my 24 week midwife appt all is well and little chaps heartbeat was pounding away , he's really getting a wriggle on these day , i have another scan at 29 weeks and 37 weeks due to our treatment and all the drugs so its just to make sure all is ok, so get to see him again really soon, can't wait
Nothing much my end - just suffering from heartburn and swollen feet in the heat, nice, my toes are like a row of pork sausages
My mum has just 3 chemo treatments left and then her scan to see whats what i am getting a little anxious about it all now but praying there is a tad of good news in there for us and my mum, so still all go.
Well off to get some lunch i am starving!
Hi to all and will catch up on eprsonals soon i promise xx
Love
Shar |

Helloooooooooooo
Thought i would drop a line and show my face as i have not been on here for a while, things are manic!!! I just dont stop until it's time to go to bed at the mo! Think i have briefly read through all the posts so am up to speed
All is very good here, have been feeling movements for about the last 1 1/2 wks which is lovely and so reassuring. Seeing the midwife this friday and can't wait to hear the heartbeat for the first time And finally my kitchen is finished, i thought for a while we would be one of the families you see on DIY SOS but thankfully not I also did something very ditsy the other day, it was so hot that i confess i was ironing in my underwear i know but i bet we've all done it at some point, anyway i forgot that i now have a pot belly and i have accidently tattood an imprint of the iron on my bump......attractive
Jazz, so glad all is ok with you it sounds like you have had a worrying time but i am so pleased that you and baby are ok.
Shar, brilliant that all was fab at the midwife today, hoping to hear some fab news about your mum too.
Bethan, hope your ok and BBQ's are soooooo overated
Hope everyone else is keeping well, sorry i haven't had time to do all the personals, but it sounds like everyone is doing well and that's great.
Hope it's not too hot for you all, keep cool

Hi Bunnies - sorry for being in a grump Sunday - dh came home Mon, my parents were round so things soon picked up!
Claire G - can't believe we've hit the 23 week mark now! Just beginning to wonder whether I'll get everything done in time it seems to be going so quick at the mo. Hope you are fine too. Did get rid of the bbq smell ta
Shar - always good to hear from you and find out how Mum is going - how often does she have the chemo - ie when is her scan? Hope it's some good news for you hun. Pleased your little boy is behaving himself - I've got extra scans too but at 32 and 36 weeks (I think) funny how they all do it different! Hope the weather has broken a bit where you are so you're not so hot - it's been horrible hasn't it?
Lorraine - glad to hear you are keeping busy but just remember to look after yourself and get some rest too! LOL at your tattoo on your belly though, take care hun! Must be lovely having that kitchen finished!
Had our friends over for tea last night so that was great - tried out a few new recipes on them so hope they are still well today!
Sorting / cleaning the conservatory is on the plan for this morning - Carys is at a holiday club so I may be able to throw out some creations while she isn't watching!
DH off to Scotland today, so another home alone night! Still we're off to his sisters in Wales on Friday and although he'll be off on his travels next week dd and I'll be able to chill a bit while there - hoping they'll want to keep her amused while I try to put my feet up a little from time to time.
All seems well with Bubs - kicking well if ever I do get to sit down. Still got lots of pain in my pelvis but doesn't seem much I can do about that - might try to get some better supportive knickers - any advice girls?
So weather looks less favourable here today, although probably still nice - just feels so good when not toooo hot! Hope you are all well and enjoying your bumps!

Hi Bethan,
Just a quickie as I am back at work. Mothercare ane blloming marvelous do bump bands. My friend is 35 weeks pregnant and says that are a god send. Come in bleck and white. I am sure there are other brands I just googled maternity clothes. Also mothercare do extra support nickers which are great. I wear the low support ones at the moment and they are really comfortable and go over my bump which is quite large now.
Good luck with your search. |

Jazz - Thanks for that - I've also found a physio site that do similar priced things that may be worth a look for me, especially as they have a shop in Peterborough. Will go and have a look tomorrow morning and then if no good I'll pop into Mothercare.
I have got a big belt thing but it's just far too warm in this weather!
Have a good day at work.

Just popped on to let you all know that the scan went very well today and all is well. It was really weird seeing the baby move around, yet not feeling anything. It was amazing to see all of the detail including his /her little hands and feet.
love to you all,

Hi Ladies,
J and T:- Great news on your scan, it's just amazing isnt it! You will feel baby soon!
Quick question for you all....I keep getting a really bad acid at the back of my throat, sometimes before I eat and sometimes after anyone got any ideas on how to shift it? It's horrible! My nose bleeds have started up again too?! Thought I was rid of them! Think I may put a post on the main board re the acid thing too.
Hope you are all well.
Love

J&T - great you've had a good scan - don't worry the movements will start in a few weeks.
Claire - no idea about the sickness one but my nose still bleeds whenever it feels like ti. My m/w just said I had to put up with it (!)
Hope everyone else is okay - I'm off to wales for a week today so may not be on here. Good shopping trip to mothercare yesterday - got my support belt (great!) and some more clothes in the sale
take care

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your message Shar, is it just the normal Gaviscon..over the counter stuff?
I have added a photo of my bump to the bump pics thread, but thought I would share it with my cycle buddies!!!! Here goes.....
Anyone else dare to share the bump photos???!!!
This is my first ever bump photo, been too afraid to dare to take any before now. This was taken last night after a bath and plenty of bio oil rubbing in!
You can even see my appendicitis scare!!
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Morning ladies,
Claire, so dissapointed work computer wont let me see your bump. I have not got the nerve. I am still feeling a bit fat rather than bumpy though today it has moved more to the front. Congratulations on 24 weeks tomorrow. So exciting. 3rd trimester coming up.
Bethan, have a lovely holiday.
Beth, Nice to hear from you and glad all is well.
Lorraine, Wow movements already. Congratulations. I felt flutters about the same time as you but now find t difficult to know. Is it proper kicks or flutters? Glad all is well. 20 week scan soon.
Shar, Hope your mum is bearing up ok with the stress of the chemo and that you are able to rest a bit. I have my fingers crossed that she will have a happy outcome. Glad midwife appointment went well and I know what you mean about the heat.
J & T, Glad scan went well. I am so excited about mine.
I have still not felt any movement since the first flutters weeks ago. I keep thinking I have and then it's my imagination. I sit and concentrate so hard sometimes I am not sure what is real. I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and we are going to find out the sex. DH is so excited about it but now I am begining to wonder if I really want to know. It would make things so much easier and DH is desperate to know. I don't mind either way but it would be nice to have a girl as there are no female grandchildren yet. I am however convinced it is a girl and think we will both be in a state of shock if it is a boy. DH says he will find out and just not tell me, some how I do not think that will work. (I have methods of torture that I am not frightened to use) The wondering would get the better of me and if he knows I want to.
All seems well with bubs and HB is really clear every night. I cant wait to have definate movements for reasurance then I think I would use doppler less. No more bleeding and with scan tomorrow I am sure anxiety will settle down.
Hooray Half way there.
Love to all and sorry if I have missed you.
Tania, Hope all is well with you. |

Hi Ladies
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Bethan Hope you enjoy your time in Wales. Glad all seems well with little one. Sorry to hear that you are suffering with pains in your pelvis. I am a bit uncomfortable when I stand up with the weight of my bump, think it is to do with the fact that I am not building up enough muscle to take the weight as I dont move around much. I have bought some support knickers from mothercare & I am hoping this will help.
Jazz Glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped. Hope the swollen ankles, hands & tummy ease. Good luck with your scan tomorrow, both DH & I were excited about finding out the sexes at our scan.
Claire_G Sounds like you had a lovely day RHS show. Sorry you are suffering with bad acid, I am afraid I dont have any ideas how to shift it. Could you perhaps ask your midwife? I am also suffering with nose bleeds on & off. Great picture of your bump, I might try & get my DH to take a picture of mine & try & post it.
Shar Glad to hear you 24 week midwife appointment went well & your little one is active. Sorry to hear that you are suffering from heartburn & swollen feet. I hope the rest of your mums treatment goes well & you get good news at her scan.
Beth Great to hear from you & that everything is going well.
J & T Sounds like you have been very busy decorating. Glad to hear that your scan went well.
Tors Sorry to hear about your scare, but glad to hear that is was nothing to worry about. I am so jealous that you got to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, I have always wanted to go.
Lorraine It is so reassuring to feel baby movements. Sounds like you are keeping yourself very busy, try not to overdo it though. Ouch at the iron tattoo on your belly.
Harri & Streeto & Claire (mollycat) & SaraC & Peacock Hope you are all doing ok.
Well we have been to see my consultant today & had a quick scan. Both of the twins are doing well & growing how they should be. The little boys placenta has finally moved out of the way of my cervix so that is a big relief. My cervix is still closed & normal length. So all in all a very good appointment & my consultant is happy for me to continue on bed rest at home. I am so glad we had this scan as this week is tough for us after what happened with Hannah & Sophie. I have another scan in 2 weeks which is a full 24 week scan this will be a great milestone to get to.
Love Tania xxx |

Hi Girls, sorry haven't posted for awhile but i have been keeping an eye on all your progress.
Jazz- good luck for your scan tomorrow- hope all goes well- we decided not to find out the sexes of our twins, and it doesn't work if only one of you find out because you begin to refer to the bump as he or she so the others ends up knowing anyway.you never know you might have a surprise when you give birth as they do get it wrong!!! Regarding movement- i know a woman who is 22 weeks pregnant with no bump and hasn't felt any movements yet- the reason being her placenta is in front of the baby. This might be the case with you and will find out tomoz.
Claire- love the bump - will put mine on this week- it did measure at 47inches last week and its shape is constantly changing depending on where the twins are pushing.
Bethan- i am suffering with pelvis pain- get a referral to the physio- (my first appt is this thursday) they should give you a support belt.
Lorraine- your getting movements very early- is this your first baby?
Tania- been thinking about you as i knew this time of your pregnancy will be difficult- but fab news that your scan went well and we are nearly at the 24 weeks stage- which i am counting down to too.
hi to everyone else- got to go now xxx |

Hey all
Hope everyone is keeping well, sounds like all ok from what i have been reading
Jazz - Glad your feeling much better and it's lovely to be able to hear the heartbeat. Thinking of you tomorrow, i think even though we are sure everything is all good it's totally natural to feel apprehensive before i know i do! If you do find out are going to tell everyone or keep it a secret? Whatever you decide i am sure all will be fab. When i was pregnant with Mia i didn't feel anything until 22 - 23wks with your first i think the majority of ladies feel movements later on and when it happens you will know about it as it's really distinctive
Streeto - hope everything ok with you, this is my second pregnancy and i never thought it would be sooooooo different from my first but it totally is, not one bit of it has been the same. I have felt these from about 14wks and there proper little kicks, like some is flicking you inside your tummy, bizarre but amazing I should imagine with twins you are getting lots of movement!
Claire - brave but totally fab piccies! When i was preganant with Mia i had awful heartburn to the point where i used to be sick, i totally sympathise with you, Gaviscon was about the only thing that helped and to the end it moved onto the hardcore stuff Gaviscon.....Advance with a straw
J & T - glad scan was good, hope your keeping very well
Bathan - have a very chilled & fab holiday
Shar - hope your mum is doing ok, hope your alright, glad all well at midwife
Tania - Great that all went well with your scan and that the consultant is pleased with how your doing.
Beth - hope all good and your doing fab
Tors - glad everything was all good and that its nothing to worry about. Not many ladies can say they have lunched and had garden drinks at Buckingham Palace
Hope everyone else is well, sorry if i have missed anyone - not intentional!!
Well everything great here, my iron tattoo is healing nicely I saw my midwife last friday and heard the heartbeat for the first time Now i am very happy and reassured! Can't wait for my holiday next week, things have been just too hectic recently and i can't wait to have some me time, selfish i know! but essential!
We went to Warwick castle yesterday had a fab day but for some bizarre reason i decided that i would be able to climb the 530 steps of the tower as well as walk the whole of the grounds a few times!!!!!!!! Big mistake, it made me realise that although i was very fit before being pregnant i am now pregnant and i have to realise that i am not bionic and cannot do everything!! Think it was the sort of reality check i needed to make me realise i don't have to do everything and it is ok to just sit and put my feet up - something i am not very good at unfortunately!
Love Lorraine x |

OH MY GOD, I really can not believe it we are having a boy. I have spent the day in shock (looking for new car). I am delighted that all is well and though it was difficult to see the songrapher thinks she has seen boy bits. Bubs was not playing ball at all tday so we have to go next week. I feel really bad and hope I have not given my beautifull son a complex. I have been calling him she for 20 weeks poor thing.
They could not see the heart properly because bubs would not move at all. I had to go out for a 20 minute jog and still he remained in his stubborn position all curled up and cute. He lifted his arm once to say hi and then went back to sleep. I even drank coke and ate chocolate before scan to try to promote activity (advice from a friend) but nothing doing.
All is well though and he is safe and sound tucked up inside. My placenta is right in front of him though and this is why I have not felt anything for a few weeks. The pain I have been getting in my sides may be him kicking according to the sonographer. On the way home I am sure he is now active. I can feel movement in my side where his legs are and I think that now I know where I am supposed to feel it, it is more obvious.
Such a great day and that shock is fine. DH is over the moon even though he also was convinced he was a she.
Whooppee time to go proper shopping.
Sorry no personals today but we are off out for a meal to finnally celebrate our beautifull baby being safe and sound and really coming. It feels much more real now and I am so so so relieved and excited. My baby is really going to be here in less that 20 weeks. I am besotted with him already. I know I have had my really down moments and thanks to you all you have been amazing.
Lots of love |

Hi
Jazz - FAB news re the scan a little boy CONGRATULATIONS ! i am pleased all is well for you and your little chap. I am sure he won't have a complex !! Get shopping !
Time seems to be flying by for all of us now its weird it seems to be going to quickly now compared to the first 20 weeks. I keep panicing about what i have still got to buy m though the nursery is more or less done now. Before we know it they will all be making their appearance in the world
Claire G - Glad the gaviscon is helping, though the consitency of it is quite vile ! I am going to try to get a pic of my bump on in the next couple of days. Showed DH your pic and he said 'oh look she has blue veins on her stomach like you do !! '' men eh typical ! I just scowled at him !
Well feel off to relax and have a bath i think - i am sure i he's going to be a breakdancer !
Love to all |

Jazz:- Great news on your scan....so pleased for you and yourlittle man!!! At least now you know that the position of the placenta has stopped you feeling him moving about. Hope you had a lovely meal out.
Shar:- My DH cant see my veins!!!! Thinks im imagining it...so im pleased your DH noticed them, I will tell my DH he is talking rubbish! I agree that time is starting to fly, big time.

Thanks ladies,
Feeling less shocked today and really happy. Feel much closer to bubs now.
Busy at work and loads of changes are being made. I am now looking at my job not being here when I get back from mat leave. Quite stressed about that but I have more important and better things to think about.
Off shopping for some blue stuff in my lunch break.
Talk later. |
