Hello Bunnies -i just wanted to pop on and say well done to you all for getting here!! It won't be long before there are lots of bunny babies!!

DH and I have made a decision to go to Australia for a few weeks - leaving on the 12th August, so won't be trying again until we get back in October. You'll all be nearly cooked by then and I will be expecting to see bump pictures!!

I'll keep in touch.

All my love

Jayne

Tania - understand why you've not been on here -t hink we all were knocked for 6 for a while. Glad to hear the bleeding stopped and things seem to be calming down for you - I'll add you properly to the front page. I think it's an IVF curse the knicker checking thing! Now make sure you enjoy the next few months!

Jayne - great to hear from you hun - hope you don't mind me using your original bunny pics to keep you in our thoughts! Think you've reacted in exactly the right way and you'll have a ball in Oz!!! Where abouts are you going - I spent a year there after uni and my brother is in Sydney but my favourite city is Melbourne.

Had a great hospital visit today with a good heartbeat going on. Did all the blood tests and then had a chat wth the consultant (who is also the Care bloke who monitored me through the d/reg and stimming side of the process at Petyerborough!) Was nice to see him for a positive reason at last!
Talked about extra scans nearer the end due to being IVF and when I had dd I had low fluid so they'll keep an eye on me then.
Next appointment isn't til 24th June and thats with my local modwife then scan at 20 weeks - that's only 6 weeks away so I can't believe how positive I'm feeling today!
Even went to pick up my Bounty pack today!

Hope the rest of the Bunnies are well too - have a lovely BH weekend.

Bethan x

Hi Ladies,

Tors and Tania Welcome ladies!!

Tors:- I read your update re your twin. Exactly the same thing happened to me, but the tein I lost stopped developing at 7 weeks. We found out at a 9 week scan, but we were so made up to have the wriggler on board. The way I see it is that mother nature has in a way protected us...if for example the lost twin had stopped developing at 16 weeks im sure it would put our little wriggler at a risk, IYKWIM? I know it's still a loss but I think we are still so very fortunate to have the one we do. I do have little moments of thinking what could have been, but I quickly try to move these thoughts to positive ones about the wriggler inside me!

Jayne:- So lovely to hear from you. Oz sounds like a great plan, hope you all have a brill time.

Bethan:- How great for you to have such a positive hospital visit yesterday. I think that having gone through such much crappy hospital visits to get to where you are makes you really appreciate the good visits! Isnt 20 weeks fast approaching!!

Tania:- Pleased your bleeding has stopped. I still knicker check!! I thank God everytime there is nothing...think im starting with OCD!!

Well my next scan is Thursday, feel a little more relaxed about it compared to the previous scans, but still a bit anxious. I just want a positive "yes it's all as it should be". Hopefully it will be.

Has anyones symptoms gone? Im still getting naesua and still completely shattered, still hungry, hungry, hungry...hoping it will go soon! I want this 2nd trimester energy boost I keep reading about! That said I was awake at 5am and decided at 6am to go to Tesco??!! Wanted to do something radical, what a quiet life I have that Tesco at 6am is radical!

Hope you have a lovely weekend, the weather here has been great today.

Love

Claire G x

Hi Bunnies -

Very quiet over here!

Hope you've all had a good weekend, all be it soggy!

Tania - how you doing? Any update on bleeding - hopefully still all quiet there.

Claire G - hope you're hunger is subsiding! LOL at you shopping at that time of the morning!!! Good luck for the scan on Thursday.

Nothing much to report here other than it's drying out a little. Feeling okay at the moment but at times feel like I'm absolutly huge and carrying a large weight - even though I'm not! Enjoying catching up with al my friends and telling them our news at last!
Went to Kiddicare yesterday and picked up a glider chair (I know it's a little early but wanted to get rid of the rocking chair we've got so thought I'd pick one up while they had one on offer. Carys had a great tme looking at all the thngs she wanted to buy for the baby - may have to go shopping without her methinks!

Hope you all having a great Tues

Hi Ladies,

Just thought I would pop on with an update. I had my scan today and all is great, baby is measuring 1 day ahead. It was kicking away and we could see all it's rib cage, jaw bone, spine and even it's little stomach! Got 2 lovely pictures and 1 of them has a great profile of it's face, you can see it's little nose and lips.

Still cant seem to relate that what we saw on the scan screen and the pictures we have is inside me, it's so amazing!

Think I am starting to believe we may actually get to keep this baby.

We have an appointment with the obstertrician and midwife next week, it's suddenly all go.

Our 20 week scan is 10 July.

Hope everyone is well.

Love

Afternoon Ladies

Jayne - Lovely to hear from you & I hope you enjoy your wonderful holiday in Australia

Bethan - Glad to hear your hospital visit went well & that they are going to give you extra scans. Its great that you are feeling positive. Sounds like you & DD enjoyed your trip to Kiddicare, I have been to scared to buy anything yet.

Claire_G - Glad to hear your scan went well today & you got 2 lovely pictures. I am sure that you will get the second trimester energy boost soon. Good luck with all your appointments next week.

Claire (Mollycat) & Tors - Hope you are both doing ok

Well I knew as soon as I said I thought the bleeding had stopped it would come back & bite me on the bum. We had more bleeding on saturday & sunday but so far no more this week, I think I will just have to accept that I may bleed on & off throughout this pregnancy. Had nasty abdominal pain on Tuesday but no bleeding but was sent by my midwife for a scan anyway just to make sure everything was ok. The twins are doing well, twin 1 is measuring 6 days ahead & twin 2 measuring exactly right for my dates. So it seems no matter what I am going through they seem completely unaffected. I have now been told by my midwife that I need to try & work less as she thinks that my body is trying to tell me I am doing to much. Difficult to do though when you are trying to run a company.

I have lots of appointments next week, Monday is with my obstertrician to check me over & decide on the date to stitch my cervix, Thursday is with Haemotology to decide what they are going to do about my low platelets before I have my Cervix stitched.

Love Tania xxx

Tania,

Great news that your two are growing so well - 6 days ahead is quite a lot!!!! I don't know if you ever go on the Tamba messageboard (www.Tamba.org.uk) but if you do a search on there you'll find quite a few posts about women having their cervix stitched which you might find useful.

So pleased all is going well, but you MUST take it easy whenever you can.

Hi Bunnies - another week almost over!

Claire G - great to hear you had a good scan - lovely you can see it's profile and everything, how sweet. Know what you mean about beginning to believe now!

Tania - Sorry to hear you have been bleeding again but sounds like you've got your head round the fact it's just somethign to put up with. Glad they are keeping a close eye on the 3 of you - I'm sure you'll be fine. You sounds pretty chilled out so try to keep that way and make the most of whatever you can workwise. I have to say we only went to Kiddicare 'cos we needed a new chair and I thought it'd be sensible to get the one I fancied now. Not looking to buy anything else for a while though!!!!

Good to hear from the likes of Reds to ressure you re Twins experience.

Nothing much to report here - been a wet half term for us but did manage a couple of hours in the garden yesterday - muct do some more weather permitting! A friend has taken dd out for the morning so I'm off to do the supermarket shopping now - dh is home so he can unpack the car when I get home!!!

Hope you are all doing well,

Bethan x

Hi Tania,

I'm pretty sure I've told you about my bleeding before - 5-21 weeks, brown, pink, red, watery, spotting, gushing, clots, all sorts of bleeding!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that two of my friends had their cervixes stitched at 24 weeks with twins. One went to 37 weeks and the other to 39 weeks. One with a natural birth and teh other with a section.

Take care of yourself and rest when you can

Jo xx

Hi Girls,

I've just popped over to see how you're all doing and it looks like you're all doing great.

Hope you're keeping a place warm for me. I am now 10wks and 4 days but still a bit nervous of doing a ticker just yet. I had my 10wk scan on Wednesday and we have lost the little twin, which was expected as it was so much smaller then the other but the bigger twin was doing great and was dancing all over for us. EDD Christmas Eve. I have my next scan on 18th June with my consultant and she will continue to scan me every 2-4 weeks because of the problems and the loss of our first son Morgan who was stillborn. It's amazing how nervous I get sitting in the waiting room and the huge sigh of releif when we see bubbas heart beating away.

Boobs have grown loads even though they were massive to start with and my belly has definitely got a preggers shape to it. Suppose I will have to tell my work next week as its getting harder to breathe in.

Really hope you all have a great weekend. Sara xx

Hi Everyone, pleased your all doing well- i went through my treatment at the same time as most of you and time is ticking by quite nicely isn't it.

Just wanted to pop on to pass on a message to tania, as you can see my twins due date is 3 days before yours and wanted to reassure you that i have also had unexplained bleeding for the past 2 weeks. I woke up in a flood of blood at 2.30am- and have been spotting ever since. i have been for 2 scans (inclusding one today) and there is no sign of where the blood is coming from, and the twins are as happy as larry. Rallygirl gave me a good possible explanation if you look on twinnie mummies to be post about 2 weeks ago you will find it. Its completely exhausting isn't it- i walked my last single pregnancy -can't believe how different it is with twins- however i am so grateful for the wisdom of the twinny mummies on here. Take care

Hi Bunnies -

Tania - hope you're feeling okay and bleeding is easing again.

Sara - can't wait for you to join us over here - keep looking after yourself.

Streeto / reds - thanks for the twinnie info for Tania - we can all make the right noises but good to hear some real life experience of what it's like carrying 2!

Hope everyone else is okay.

Nothing much to report - back to school today and was really pleased with number of people who commented on my bump now being visable! I'm teaching Y6's safer cycling this week so bit tiring so off to hit the hay now!

Have a good week everyone.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all well?

We had the obsterician appointment today....had to wait 2 hours to see someone and then only got the assistant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway she was very nice and had a good bedside manner and told us that we should enjoy this pregnancy now, great to hear from an NHS doc.

Im on shared care and they want me to have extra scans at 28 and 32 weeks. Think it's because of the twin I lost, that was still very obviously there at our last scan and because I have an underactive thyroid.

Got my 2nd midwife appointment tomorrow.

Just wondered if I could ask, are you all having the blood test for downs etc? Im 99% sure not to have it, am I mad?! May put a post out to ask some of the mums.

Right im off to garden!

Claire - Hope you had a good time in the garden, make most of weather while it lasts!

Pleased to hear you were pleased with the person you got today and all is going well. Good luck with m/w tomorrow also.

We signed up for all blood tests (thought I'd worry about results later) and got a letter this week saying we're not a high risk for downs (pleased as I'm 40 next year so did wonder) I'm not sure what I'd have done if there was a different response but I at least felt I needed to have that level if information. Personal choice though. I had a friend who was put in high risk, didn't have the amnio thing and went on to have a baby who was perfectly healthy. It's hard after we've already been through so much thinking there may be an optional risk we put ourselves under.
Good luck with your decision making though.

Hi All

Well it feel good to finally make it onto this board Very Happy

I am ok had my 2nd midwife appt on last Monday and heard the little ones heartbeat which was so cool - and SO reassuring i was totally cacking myself as we do !!! I have actually allowed myself to relax a little now until the 20w scan no doubt.....

I am fine now quiet reached the blooming stage yet - still feeling quite tired of an evening and still getting this horrid rash on my face, .... may have to go to the docs if it doesn't disappear. Bump seems to be growing steadily i am so impatient and can't wait for it to be a proper 'bump', but saying that well cheesed off on the lack of clothes dept. Nexy size up fit on my waist but just look too big on my hips etc and maternity just dwarfs me - grrr but its a small prixe to pay Very Happy

My mums treatment is going well as can be we are just awaiting an update and when a further scan will be hopefully may get that info this Thursday. Its been so hectic travelling everywhere for my mum but i would never ever complain, and the midwife has reassured me any stress will not harm the little one, only make me feel pants ! So its just a wiating game at the moment.

Beth - great news re your scan well chuffed for you hun xx

Clare G - this may be late but i opted for the scan and bloods at 12w and came back low risk and i am 38. I know you will make the right decision for you. Have you had your second midwife appointment yet ? I don't get to see a consultant until my 20/21w scan.

Bethan - hope you are well , my EDD is now the 19th Nov.

Tania - hope you are ok ?

Hi to everybody else off to put my feet up - and i have awful acid !!! yak !

Speak soon, love to all

Shar - glad to hear you are feeling fine. The clothes thing is a real pain isn't it? I'm into half and half at the mo and only have about 3 utfit that do it properly and am getting fed up of wearing those!
Things sounds steady with your MUm at the mo - pleaseed about that. And although you have to look after yourself it's understandabe you want to put her first. Hope things still keep going well. Will add you EDD in a bit!

Beth - ta will add your EDD in a bit too.

Claire, Claire G, Tors and Tania - how you all doing?

Had a bit of a weird day today - didn't have breakfast and then took some children out cycling but then felt really weird and had to sit down - was just like when I fainted whilst bleeding during m/c. Luckily the lady from the council was there so she took over and I went back and drank loads of water and got a sugar rush of flapjacks and apples! Not really felt back to normal all day but think 'cos was outside most of the day and it's been hot. Just feel bit stupid 'cos I didn't have brekkie - and don't want to tell dh when he comes home!

Oh well - I'm at home tomorrow so lots of rest I think!

Okay only me again!
After a paranoid evening went to see my GP today and apart from being told off for not eating properly and having low blood pressure all seems fine. Took her a while to find the h/b but both me and dh heard it so maybe I won't worry.....well for a few days at least!

Hope you are all okay - nearly the weekend
