Bethan,

You've got to eat, hun!!! Bubs will be using up every last ounce of energy you've got stored away, so cycling around with no brekkie ain't a good idea!!!! Listen to me and the MW Laughing

Shar - pleased things are going OK with your mum.

Reds - Thanks for the Nag - I know you're right and I've had plenty remind me!!!
Lesson learnt - mind you was a good demonstration to the children that breakfast is important!

Afternoon Ladies

Bethan - Lovely to hear that your bump is beginning to show. Mine is already measuring 18 weeks & seems to be growing by the day, that does give me some reassurance that everything is progressing ok with the twins. Naughty girl not eating breakfast.

Claire_G - Great to hear that your assistant consultant was so nice & that you are having extra scans. I had the NT scan & blood tests for downs. My odds came back at 1:4500 & 1:4400 so I am very pleased with that.

Reds - Thanks for your message I have had a quick look on the tamba board.

Jan - Thanks for your messages as well. Hope you & Jake are keeping well.

Rallygirl - Thanks for your message, good to hear that your friends had their cervix stitched & managed to get to 37+ weeks. That gives me lots of hope.

Sara - Sorry to hear that you lost your little twin but great news that the one is doing so well. Your EDD is my DH birthday. It won't be long till you join us over here.

Streeto - Thanks for your message. Has your bleeding stopped? I have been for several scans & they also can not find where the bleeding is comng from, doesn't stop me worrying though.

Beth - Glad that you have joined us over here & your 14w scan went well.

Shar - Glad to hear that you midwife appointment went well, it is so re assuring to hear the heartbeat.
Sorry to hear that you have a rash on your face, I am still suffering with lots of spots on my face its like I am a teenager all over again. Good to hear that your mums treatment is going well.

Claire (Mollycat) & Tors - Hope you are both doing ok

Well we got to hear the twins heartbeats last monday which was great. I am still spotting brownish blood, not lots but enough to notice. It is definitely beginning to wear me down. I have a scan tomorrow to see if they can find where it is coming from & measure my cervix. Then I am having my cervix stitched on tuesday & will be staying in overnight just to make sure all three of us are ok. So a busy week next week. I had my platelets retested on thursday & they are better, good enough for me to have my cervix stitched anyway, but I have to have the tested every 4 weeks, till 26 weeks then every 2 weeks.

Love Tania xxx

Hi Ladies,

It is so quiet on awaiting scans that I thought I would pop my head around the door here. Just for a quick hello before I join you next week.

It is nice to see everyone is still doing well.

Jazz - pretty quiet on here too - think we're all a little subdued with no scans, tests etc for a while! Looking forward to you joining us soon though.

Tania - glad to hear the h/b were both fine. Hope the stithcing went well - will this ease the bleeding? I'm glad they'll be keeping a close eye on you though. Hope the bump is doing well!

Not much other news here - been busy but also making sure I get rests when I can and eating better so the b/p should be okay. I have at least 6 tests every day saying "have you lunch yet?" from various people so that's sweet!
Woke up this morning and dd commented the bump had disappeared!!!! Then I stood up and she went "wow there it is!"

Hope all you others are fine too - Shar, Claire, Claire G, Tors and Beth.

Morning Ladies,

Well I am officially 12 weeks today. (scan dates). I can not quite believe it. Even though dates put me at 12 weeks on Sunday I have been nervously waiting for today so that I am definatly at least 12 weeks. I have put in on Face book now and told everyone at work. Not much chance of hiding it really as seem to be showing quite a bit. I think this is still the steriods though. It was strange on Monday because I went to put on my normal work jeans and they had shrunk. Then tried on all my other and they had shrunk too. Am wearing mat jeans and top today because they are comfortable. Do not quite fit though as they are still a bit big.

DH felt my tummy this morning and said "wow that feels really hard not soft and squidgy like usual" I initially thought aaaahhhh sweet then though do I really have a squidgy tummy?

I will be having my last Gestone injection on Saturday and my last clexaine injection on Monday. Prednisolone goes to every other day from today and asprin reduces to one 75mgs. I feel that it is really going to happen now.

Glad to see all is well over here and everyone is too busy being pregnant to post much. All good signs.

Have al lovely day all. Weekend is nearly here.

Hi Ladies,

Just thought I would pop on and see how we all are, seems quiet on here at the mo.

Not too much to report from me, but i'm not sure if im starting to get little movements!!!! Very Happy I have had them for about 7 days ish now, and seem to slowly getting a little stronger and a bit more regular. It's tiny little flutters, so very slight. They are in the area where the baby is, so im hoping that it's not just wind! Shocked Not felt anything like it before, but also not sure what a tiny baby kicking feels like either.

I used my doppler for the first time since I was 12 weeks today, been a bit frightened to as I didnt want to struggle to find the heartbeat. Even though the midwife found it no problems when I was just over 14 weeks. Anyway used it and found it straight away, it's so reassuring. DH hadnt heard it before and he was made up to listen to it. Also let my Mum and Dad hear it, they were blown away, I guess they didnt have things like a doppler 33 years ago. I noticed how the baby has moved up my tummy area from when I checked it at 12 weeks.

We are off to London for 2 nights on Wednesday, DH got me front row tickets for Dirty Dancing and im soooo looking forward to seeing it. Not looking forward to putting pupdog in the kennels but he always deals with it fine, it's me that cries my eyes out when I leave him!

Well hope you are all well, are any of you getting little flutters?

I have a definate bump now and think im changing from just looking a bit fat!!!

Love

Claire G x

Hi all -

Jazz - great to see you over here, well done hun! I'm sure your tummy is not normally over squidgy but dont they make you laugh trying to say the right thing!!
When is your EDD and I'll add a bunny to the front for you.
Hope you've found something comfortable to wear today!

Claire G - how exciting you feeling the baby - the best way I described it when it was my dd was like having real butterflies in your tummy so I think that's what you're experiencing. And how cute with your parents listening to the h/b. I decided against a doppler as I thought I'd be addicted to it so well done you for not having it out every night.
Have a lovely time on wednesday - how sweet of dh!

Hope everyone else is okay and that no news is 'cos you're all off enjoying growing good bumps!

Got a letter the other day to say yes I am anemic so had to get some iron tablets. Also had 2 letters saying as I am rhd negative I have to have precautionary anti-D injections at 28 and 34 weeks. I was fine about this til a friend commented I should have had them after dd was born and after my m/c or I may miscarry this one! Sooooooo 24 hours of panic ensued til I got to speak to someone at the mat unit who reassured me that as dd was also rhd neg I didn't need one then and the m/c was so early there was nothng to worry about.
I'll be so glad when I get to feel the baby and know things are going on fine - it seems to have been one thing after another since the beginning of the year and I don't feel like I can relax yet! I'm sure everything is fine but it seems every other day there's something on to worry about and make me fed up!!!

Oh well - on a positive note I am trying really hard to eat well, I am just so bored with cooking etc at the mo its hard to motivate myself but I am actually eating quite well so nothing there to worry about!

Hope you have all had a great weekend,

Bethan x

Hi Bethan and Claire,

Claire how lovely that you can feel your baby. I can't wait for that. I have borrowed a doppler from a friend and I am using it daily. Can sometimes hear the HB but mostly just swooshing. Luckinly it does register it each time so it is reassuring. Hope you had a good time in London.

Bethan, Sorry you had all that worry. It will not be long till you feel the baby now though. How are you getting with the iron. Horrible tablets.

Well today I went shopping for maturity clothes with my sister. It was nice to get out and do something. I have just woken up from a nap and still feel tired a lot. At least I now have some comfy clothes to wear. Some are a bit big but I am sure bump will start to fill them soon. I am so looking forward to stopping the steroids in about 10 days. I am sure that is what has made me so fat. It really is not just baby. I am addicted to rasperries at the moment which is good because at least they are healthy. Trying to eat well. Everyone at work now knows and I feel a bit easier about it.

My due date is Christmas day. What a lovely pressie.

Talk soon.

Jazz - am in middle of cooking roast dinner but will add you to front page with your EDD after. Glad you got some clothes today - I've been vegging out in big tracky bottoms and a maternity t-shirt - feels so much better than putting hair bobbles on my usual trousers and then breathing in while out!!!

Glad you're getting on with your dopper well - considering changing my mind (yet again!!!)

Hi Bethan,

Thanks for that. It is funny how being n the front kind of confirms it. It has been so great being part of the bunnie mummies, I am so excited for us all.

Dopplers are great but can get obsessed. I am but I love it. Baby brain is fine. I also have one. I can blame everything on it which is so so much fun. Hope you enjoyed you dinner.

Well the baby brain continues. Got to work this morning, feeling a bit disorientated because my car has gone in for MOT and using DH car. It is much bigger than mine and all my stuff is in my car. Got into work and wrote myself a list to get done. Looked in file cabinet for health notes to update and they were gone. Searched high and low for these notes. Nearly in tears went to my boss and said I have lsot a health file. (big problem could lose my job) He helped me search and so did all of admin. Getting really worried now thinking I must have left them in a coffee shop or something. Collegue found an empty health file in reception which was one of mine. No name or any info in it. Still panicking about lost notes. Then found them in my draw which I had looked in 20 times but not in a file. I never opened the file. Just got back from town buying appolagy cakes for team who kindly searched the office for missing notes that did not exist.

Happy days.

Hi Bunnies,

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while. I've been checking in but not had much to add. We had our first appoitment with our consultant last week and whilst we were there we had the chance to listen to Juniors HB again which was magical as DH has not heard it before. It was a massive relief and another week under our belts.(16 weeks tomorrow!! - can't believe it!). I'm at the midwifes tomorrow for my blood tests and hopefully another doppler if she let me. Need the reassurance!! Finally my sickness has subsided after 8 weeks of throwing up every meal (sorry tmi). I'm still tired but glad to be keeping food down. really looking forward to feeling some baby movements now. Hopefully not long now.

Jazz, bless you with your baby brain moments. What a stressful day you've had. Hope you're relaxing now!!! (and the apology cakes did the trick!!!)

Hi to all the other bunnies.

Will post again tomorrow after midwife apointment all being well.

Beth x

Hi bunnies,

Hi Beth, Nice to hear from you. I am glad you have started to feel better and keep some food down. I would be lost without my doppler. I do need daily reassurance. How exciting though for you. Consultant and heartbeat. D Your DH must be so excited. Good luck for today.

Bethan and Claire hope you are well this morning and also all other bunnies.

Well I think the apolagy cakes did the trick. I am hoping that baby brain will give me a rest today. I am meeting my sister for lunch in the park so hope the rain holds off.

Have a lovely day all.

Hi,

well just back from the midwife's and Junior is hanging on in there. Heard a lovely strong hb and she was pleased with my growth. Had another blood test so nervously awaiting those results. Can't believe we'll be 16 wks tomorrow. Still doesn't seem real. Midwife said it could be up to another 3 weeks before we feel this little one so I'm really looking forward to that.

Jazz, I hope you had a good time at lunch with your sister.

Hi to everyone else.

Hi Ladies

Well I am back from holiday and feeling so rested and raring to go! We had a lovely two weeks in Italy. First few days were spent at a wedding in Tuscany and then we had a week and a bit relaxing in the sun on an island south of Naples called Ischia. Really lovely and great weather!

All is going well with the baby too! Am now 16 weeks and 4 days and am already HUGE! Have a very definite pregnancy bump and can only fit into maternity clothes now! Has been a very good excuse to go on a spending spree! Went to the hospital for a scan today as they want to keep a check on what is happening with the other one that didn't make it. It is definitely shrinking and this little brusier is pushing for all the space!! Saw a great heart beat and the arms, legs, facial bones etc .,. all very amazing! Anyway back again on 9th July for 20 week scan and again at 28 weeks and 32 weeks! They are keeping a close eye which is great and we are building up a nice portfolio of piccies! Also had a Nuchal Test for downs which came back as very low risk which was a real relief!

Anyway it sounds like all is going really well for everyone else too. Will catch up again once I have got through the mountain of washing!

Take Care
Tors xxxx

Morning Ladies,

I am feeling really rough today. Uncomfortable and some pain. My head is really fuzzy and I feel really tearfull. I don't feel overly concerned about bubs but am a little worried. I probably should have stayed at home today but have so much to do. I suffer a lot from trapped wind but this is not that. I also feel sick. Do you think this is late onset morning sickness or something else?

Evening Ladies

Bethan - Hope your iron tablets help with your anaemia. Glad to hear that someone at the mat unit was able to re assure you about anti D injections. Hopefully it won't be long till you get to feel the baby, I don't think any of us will relax until we are holding our babies.

Claire_G - Wow great news that you are starting to feel little movements, I am hoping to feel some soon. Glad you are finding your doppler re assuring, my DH wont let me have one! Hope you enjoyed Dirty Dancing.

Beth - Glad your appointment with your consultant & midwife went well. Great to hear that your sickness as subsided.

Tors - Sounds like you had a great holiday in Italy. Glad your scan went well & that your baby bump is growing.

Jazz - Great for you to join us over here. Sounds like you had fun shopping, I have some clothes from my last pregnancy but they are mostly winter ones, so I am planning to go & buy some summer maternity clothes this weekend. I hope you are feeling better, have you tried talking to your midwife.

Claire (Mollycat) & Shar - Hope you are both doing ok

Well the cervix operation went well, according to my consultant he was very pleased that he did it as having seen my cervix he is convinced that it needed stitching. I wasn't prepared however for the amount I would bleed after the operation or how painful it would be. That took me a little time to heal & if I try to do to much it feels like pulling pain. So I am working part time & trying to rest. I have a scan & checkup with my consultant monday & I am seeing my midwife on tuesday. I definitely have a baby bump now & can't wait till I can feel them move.

Love Tania xxx

Jazz -
Hope the baby brain has settled down - lol at you and your files the other day! How are you feeling now? I see on the other thread you've been to the m/w - hope she was able to put your mind at rest at least.

Tania - good to hear from you. The iron tablets are working (well by evidence of what's coming out of me! I presume the blood is too!) Still eating well though adn trying hard to keep it up. Glad to hear the op went okay - hope the recovery speeds up a bit - make sure you rest hun!

Tors - lucky you having a great holiday! And to come back and see the baby too. Enjoy shopping! I've just given in and started wearing the mat stuff I had last time and also going to look at some 2nd hand stuff this weekend. Don't stress about the washing - sure dh can do some!

Hoping - you over here yet hun?

Hi to all other bumpy bunnies too - hope all is going well for you.

This weeks worry from me - my pelvic area seems quite sore, particularly first thing in the morning. Any ideas? I'm not overly worried - m/w appt next Tues so I'll ask her but just wondered if it was just me (probably!)
Think baby is starting to move - when I was pg with Carys it felt like real butterflies in my tummy - at the moment it feels like bubbles popping (maybe Bubs has severe wind!!!) But I'm not getting too excited yet - I want a proper kick!!!

Still very tired, so think I'll give in for tonight. Go easy girls

Hello All

Just a quick one as today is busy busy!!

Bethan I am too suffering with painful pelvic area! Its sort of stitch like, ache and sometimes into my groin as well and feels a bit like a pulled muscle! Anyway I mentioned this to the consultant and midwife on Tuesday and they both said these are natural pains and that your uterus and pelvic area is stretching and expanding so much that its not unusual to have these sort of pains!

Anyway hope that this is reassuring you.
Take Care all the bunnies.

Morning Bunnies.

Well after feeling so horrible yesterday i went homefrom work and called the midwife. I saw her at about half five last night ad she said everything was fine. The sickness and headaches could be coming off the prednisolone and the pain is womb rising out of pelvis. She found the HB straight away which was great. I hav a doppler but even though it registers a HB can not always hear it and sometimes numbers are random. It was nice to know that I was getting it right though. Had a tor around the birthing centre which is brand spanking new and really lovely. The rooms are all private and huge with rockers and birthing pools if you want them. All have on suite shower rooms and are screaming distance from Nurses station. I really hope I will be able to go there.

Tors, Glad you had a nice holiday and are feeling rested. It sounds as if the rest is over now you are back though.

Bethan, I hope the pain is easing. Every twitch seems to be a worry doesn't it. I am sure tha by the time I deliver the midwifes will be sick to death if me. Good luck on tuesday and I am sure it is just stretching and nothing to worry about.

Tania, I am feeling better thanks. A I said earlier my midwife was great. Thanks for the advise. It is always reassuring to know others have been through the same. Glad op went well. Sound painfull though. I hope you are able to rest and relax a bit. It must be a great relief to know that it was the right thing for you and your babies.

Claire, Congrats on 16 week mark. Only 3 weeks to wait untill you feel your baby how exciting. I am glad all is well with you. I had a lovely lunch thanke.

Hello to all other bunnies hope all is well.

Well DH is upstairs stripping horrible wood chip off nursery walls as we speak. I hd better make him a coffee.

Tors - thanks soooo much for that !!! I'll still mention it to the m/w but also had a friend tell me today that as it's the 2nd baby all my bits are a little lower anyhow! If I didn't have something to worry about I'd worry! Thanks for taking the time to tell me.

Jazz - thanks for your comments too. I can see us still moaning and worrying once all our babies are here - they're not eating sleeping, pooing, weeing, properly!!! Oh well. Glad you're feeling a little better today. Don't so anything more in the nursery at the mo other than coffee making duty!

Hope everyone else is okay today

Hi girls

I hope that you don't mind and I know its early in the morning but I need a rant! I have had just about enough of my SIL and after last night would frankly prefer to never have to see her again. Sadly my DH adores his big sis and even though she walks all over him and is the most selfish woman I have come across he still supports her all the time. Anyway last night was the final straw, there was a big argument between all of us and neither my DH or I have slept a wink!

I won't bore you with all the details but I am so wound up and am now, of course worried, that all this stress will be damaging to the little bean .. I suppose I am just looking for some reassurance that stress like this won't effect it!! I know I am a panicing a bit too much but just don't want anything to go wrong now!

Anyway rant over ... going to lie on the sofa and watch GMTV!!!
Happy Days to you all.
A very tired
Tors xx
P.S Lack of sleep is good preperation for November I suppose!!!!
