Hello

Looks like it has been very quiet on here. Where are you all?

I have not been able to post this week as my cat had to be put to sleep on Tuesday. Very upsetting he was dying with kidney failure and was incredibly weak and poorly Crying or Very sad

I had my first injection yesterday so I am now off and running. I always find it difficult to choose what time to do them. I always do the injections together and have decided on 5.30 this time so that I can get them over and done with before getting the dinner ready. Obviously only have the 1 at the moment.

Thanks Bron for thinking of me I do hope you little one shows up soon you must be on your last legs!

Glad you made it over here Tina. Fingers crossed your Chicago test results will be fine xxx I have started downregging with George's advice on Day 21.

Moni glad you have a start date set up not long now for you!

Hi to all the SOSC!

Love Page x

Hi Page Smile

So sorry to hear about your cat hun- Im a real cat lover and know you must be devastated. Here's hoping that this cycle is successful for you. I find that having the needles in the evening is much better- I had my menopur in the morning on my 1st cycle and I felt awful. Totally exhausted. I jabbed in the evening on my 2nd cycle and even though I was on a much higher dose, I felt fine. Maybe it was because the side effects hit me whilst I was asleep Confused . Thanks for sorting the front page hun x

Had my bio-physical profile done today at proscan. Everything looked great except one of the blood flow measures. Only dropped one mark overall though (19/20)- but she thinks george will prescribe viagra to open up my blood vessels and improve the blood flow. Im mid-cycle and there were 2 big juicy follies there so we'll be at it like rabbits this weekend in the hope that we wont need george's help afterall! We live in hope... Wink

Hi to everyone else- I'll post properly over the weekend. Enjoy it girls Smile

Love Tina xx

Hi Girls,

Page, I just wanted to say good luck with your cycle, I was thinking of you on Thursday when you started your injections and I have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed that it is your turn this time! Sorry to hear about your cat, it must be so upsetting for you.

Hi to all the other summer cyclers past and present, it's really nice to find out what you are all up to and how you all are - well done Page for setting up this new thread.

Congratualtions to those who have had their babies, I am so pleased for you all and to Bron and Karen good luck with the rest of your pregnancies, Bron, hope yours is over by the time you read this and you have baby Violet safely in your arms. Sorry I haven't been on sooner to congratulate you all, but I've not really been on the BB for a while as I was finding it a bit difficult reading all the good news stories.

We have had two cycles since our m/c in October, one frozen in February which failed because the thaw didn't go too well and the embryos they put back had lost a lot of cells. Then we recently had a fresh cycle in May and unfortunately had a bio-chemical pregnancy. So after lots more tears we have come to the conclusion that there must be something else wrong so we are going to try Nottingham to see whether they can give us some answers and a possible solution to help us achieve our dream.

Anyway I best go, but good luck to everybody starting a cycle and I will be keeping up with your progress and looking forward to some good news.

Love Jo x

Hello girls,

How's everone doing - haven't had much time to post over the weekend as we've been away for most of it. DP is currently on hols from Uni so no weekend-studying and we have finally had time to explore our beautiful surroundings a bit more. Went to a bush sanctuary on Saturday and spent the whole day on the beach yesterday - it was amazing. It's really warm over here at the moment, almost 20C! It's supposed to be the middle of winter in New Zealand but it doesn't feel like it one bit. The pleasures of global warming... Wink

Bron - surely it must have happened by now??? My sister had her little baby last Friday, she was also 9 days overdue and going up the wall. It all went well though and I now have a little nephew in Germany. Keeping fingers crossed that your baba has meanwhile joined the rest of us on the outside...

Page - am so sorry to hear about your cat, that's really upsetting. I can imagine that it was not an easy decision to make. It sounds like he may have been suffering towards the end so maybe it'll help to think that your decision has ended his suffering. It's still terribly sad though - our cat was like a member of our family and it felt like we'd had a 'death in the family' when she went.
On a happier note, the front page looks great, love the funky effects! Smile I'm getting really excited, only 3 days to go til I start on the Buserelin. You'll have done a week of it by then - are you feeling any side-effects yet? I've got to pick up the drugs tomorrow and go for an 'injection refresher training' at the same time - and pay a 30% deposit on the treatment - ouch....

Tina - that's great news about scoring so well on your bio-physical profile - hope you've enjoyed your weekend between the sheets Wink

Karen - how lovely to hear from you again, and with such fantastic news! Smile How are you feeling - are you on maternity leave yet? New Zealand is great, although I still often feel like I'm on a really long holiday. We love our house our garden and our view - we're about 30 min outside of Wellington right next to lush green bush on top of a hill. It's so nice to have a bit of space for a change... missing my friends in the UK though, I guess that's the hardest part. Keeping fingers crossed that the last month of pregnancy goes well for you Smile

Jo - am so sorry to hear that you've been having such a tough time since I cycled with you last year. It's so cruel when your hopes are dashed again and again, and the painful grieving afterwards is horrible. Sending you a big ((((hug)))). Have you had your review appointment yet since your chemical pregnancy in May or will you have this at Notts? Keeping fingers crossed that they will be able to give you some answers. x

Claire - brilliant to hear from you, and huge congrats! Smile So many of us are pregnant now, it's amazing! How are you feeling, apart from elated of course? Wink

Chelly, Alley, Kelli, Hobbit, Joanne - hope you're all well!

Lots of love

Moni x

Hello

Joanne glad the jab went well. My main symptom has been tiredness especially trying to get out of bed in a morning! I hate doing them too and DH is phobic so no help there.

Kelli great that you can chat with us. I believe Anni May had a bio chem and is not posting at the moment. Would love to hear from her too as she was having a tough time with everything!

Good luck Moni for your first injection tomorrow!

I'm good just waiting for AF to show up hopefully in the next couple or so days.

Hi Page

My DH does not like needles or injections ever so he is no help. He does not come in when i have blood taken and EC was even worse as DR Shaker cut my and i was bleeding thought DH was going to pass out.
i now what you mean about getting out of bed on a morning especally as DH went to work last week and come home with a chicken (yes a chicken) and said he found it. so its been clucking since 5.33 this morning and i've had a headache and half all day .
Told DH that if it starts tomorrow we will be having chicken curry for dinner (only joking) he has to lock it up till at leased 9.30 when i go to work.

Moni good luck for tomorrow.

Oh Chelly lucky you with the warm weather ... i am sat having a quick browse on BB and am dithering as DH is refusing to let me put the fire on because ' its june!', never mind that its blinkin freezin and raining cats and dogs Rolling Eyes The twins are just over 3 months old (born 12 March) and its just flown by, you will see what i mean with your little one or ones next year (PMA PMA PMA!)

Page - hope AF turns up on time hun xx I thought things must have ended badly for Anni May but I wasnt posting much at the time and missed what happened. I really hope she is doing okay, how awful for her i think a biochem is possibly even more upsetting than a BFN. Anni May ... if your browsing, big belated (((hugs))) to you hunny xx

Moni - good luck with jabbing xx

Hi to everyone else, hope the weather is a bit warmer and drier than it is here in the crappy North West!

Hi girls

Well I had my first jab this morning and it was pretty unspectacular - I got this 'deja vu' feeling for a second, that was about everything. I also think my clinic have made a mistake in calculating my dates. They put me on the contraceptive pill (!!!) for the month before the cycle - has anyone else heard about that before? They do that over here to 'give everything a rest' for the month before, I didn't really understand the explanation properly and didn't care too much, but it feels weird to be on the pill whilst we are desperately trying to conceive... in any case, they put on my plan 'last pill to take on 25th June - downregulation blood test / scan on 02nd July'. But I checked today and I only have 3 pills left until 22nd June - so three days earlier. Must check with them tomorrow what's what. Bloody hell, it really annoys me when clinics do stuff like that - kind of makes you wonder in what other areas they are inaccurate as well...

Kelli - oh mammamia your twins are the cutest!! You must be head over heels in love with them... can imagine you need to stick to a firm routine though, having to cope with two little demanders at the same time. Wink

Chelly - fantastic news about your date, and great that you have enough time to do the UK trip in a relaxed way. I've also got a feeling that 2008 is going to be a good year, and an important year. I don't know why, it's just a feeling I've had ever since 2007 turned to shit ... We've had so many new starts in connection with our new lives in a new country, so why shouldn't we be able to create a new beginning inside ourselves as well... PMA PMA PMA!! xx

Jo - hahahaha, a chicken??? And he 'found' it?? Where the hell do you 'find' chickens? What are you going to do with it - will it really end up in the pot or is it going to be your new pet? Anyway, great that you've started the jabs as well. Shame about your DH being so queasy. If it's any consolation, I found it equally worrying that my DP almost seemed to take pleasure in sticking the Gestone injections into my bum with my last cycle... he though it was some kind of a deviation from playing doctors and nurses...

Page, how are you doing, not long to go now until you start stimming - ygosh ou're already waiting for AF again! I have found that so strange with every cycle, the two important AFs you have to wait for (the one before starting the cycle on the down regs and the one before stimming). I always find myself toying with the thought that I might not need pads for a few months now, which is a strange thought. Also, AF is usually late during those 2 months when I really wish for her to show up for a change. Anyways, hopefully the contraceptive pill will give her a kick in the butt this time and jolt her across the doorstep.. Wink Btw, that's really sad news about Anni May; I hope she's o.k.. Can understand though that she's staying off the BB whilst she's grieving her loss - I'm sometimes finding it difficult to share as well when I'm at my lowest.

Have a lovely Thursday everyone - it's already Thursday evening here in NZ and I'm looking forward to the weekend...

lots of love

Moni xx

Good morning ladies!

Joanne can't believe you have a chicken it did make me giggle. Does it lay eggs?

Chelly thanks about my cat. They really are a part of the family and you never forget them. I found it really difficult to make friends when I was in Seville mainly 'cos my Spanish was so crap and we lived right in the old quarter of the city and we were the only 'gringos'. The little old ladies used to chat to me all the time and I would just smile and nod throwing in the occasional 'si' and 'non' not having a clue what they were saying. We were known locally as the 'Americanos' which really pissed us off! They really should have realised we were English by the amount of wine we consumed. I'm sure your Spanish is better than mine and we certainly didn't have a local pool. Sounds fab!

Kelli your babies are absolutely gorgeous you must be so proud. Love Rachels hair did you give Thomas a No 1?

Moni Never heard of taking the pill before hope you get the dates sorted it is really annoying as its just something else to worry you unnecessarily. AF not arrived and yes it probably will be late, the only time you don't want it to be!

Got to dash to meet the bank manager. Boring!

Love Page x
