Hi all

Can I join you? I'm due for FET on 29 Sept so getting a bit nervous now. This is the second round so nice to be with people new and old to IVF.... I'm dreading the 2WW, I'll need to find someway of keeping myself busy or I'll go mad.

Girls,

Tracie - hang in there, it's a tough decision, but DH and I made that tough choice last time, as it was going to be difficult being a foreign country and everything - so we know where you're coming from! As for the delay, at least your body will be nice and relaxed for the cycle Smile Hope you have a great time - we'll miss you but will look forward to catching up with your news on your return!
Aalish - welcome to the forum! the more the merrier! Sure sounds like a lot of meds, but we'll be here for each other through thick and thin Smile I knew when I first started it was all a little challenging, but we'll get there in the end..
Lucy hope things are going ok Smile how did the eye test go or is it still on hold?
Clare - dog wise - name not so sure, she's a stray so we're still in the process stage Smile she seems to be settling down though I think I'm more nervous than she is Smile She just tends to sleep under my desk for most of the day Smile
Chicka - hows things? enjoy your weekend? Smile whats new with you!

What I forgot to tell you gals is that DH is now on his own cocktail of vits - recommended from the Docs... so many pills every day - but he's agreed to it - BLESS! Smile

Quick update, have not heard anything yet Sad Phoned twice - promised a call back (after 2nd call)
Will let you know!

What I forgot to tell you gals is that DH is now on his own cocktail of vits - recommended from the Docs... so many pills every day - but he's agreed to it - BLESS! Smile

Hope to hear soon!

hi,

welcome Claire - all the very best for your FET. i'm currently down regging for ICSI cycle, got my first scan and bloods this wednesday to see if i can start stimming. Third time lucky for us hopefully! We did an ICSI cycle June 07, and an FET May 08, both BFN but feeling much more positive this time.

Purple - your pooch sounds cute, she has obviously taken to you if she is sleeping right next to you. If you need any advice let me know.

Clare xx

Hi Claire

Good luck, we're all in this together. It takes so long between cycles, my last one was January, I felt I needed the break for a few months. I could see that I could get completely consumed by it all and its not healthy.

Purple - we're thinking of getting a pooch, what type is she and how old?

Hey ALl,

I'm not typing much I'm too bloomin frustrated.
Hosp phoned - got the all clear from everyone I needed to, to start injections on friday, HURRAH! i thought.... phoned DH to tell him the good news, and he tells me he's not free the week for collection etc, he's free the week before and the week after but not the one week/day I need him.

So! despite getting the approval, i cant start this week..... and I dont have the meds to continue as I am so just dont know what to do - so bloomin frustrated, angry, upset etc,

I have to have 8 weeks of meds now (i'd got it down to just over 6) cause he cant be free one lousy week/day.

so i'll wait until tmrw and see if I can get ahold of the hosp again to see if they have the space to change me...if not - I guess its over before it begins,

Hi

Hang in there, its best to move it rather than rushing anything. It is frustrating, especially when you want something so bad but it will be worth the wait.

Oh Purple - how frustrating. Can't your dh change plans?? Could they leave you down regging for an extra week to fit in with him? Don't panicuntil you have spoken to the clinic.

Claire - i am a big softie when it comes to dogs, I have a 3 year old boxer called Dooley. he has just fathered some puppies (all girls) and they are so cute. I am currently trying to persuade my hubbie to let me have one!! Which Care are you at?

Claire - i'm at Sheffield Care as we live in Rotherham.
Well i've just got up, ready for work. I'm just waiting for the dog to get up so i can take him for a walk - he's so lazy!!
I couldn't imagine not having a dog, always had them when i lived at hme, then when me and hubby got together we bought our first boxer called Lu lu. She was a rescue dog, and we had her for 8 years, sadly we lost her last year, hence just left with the one.
What sort do you fancy having?

Anyway think i can hear the dog coming down the stairs, catch you this evening. Purple let us know how you get on

Chick and lucy -hope ypu guys are ok?

Hey ladies,

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days... work has got really busy and I had to be in Ipswich for 8am... that means getting up and 4:30... I don't do early mornings so when i got home I feel asleep on the sofa and woke up in the middle of the night (my DH was asleep on the other sofa) Smile What are we like!! Roll on Saturday xx

Wow, lots have been happening:

Tracie - You won't see this as you are off on your travels but I really feel for you having to delay treatment. DH and I were in two minds whether to do the same as but Care Northampton are closing down in Novemeber for a refurb so it was now or next year... couldn't stand to wait that long so it seemed like out hands were tied... at least you can start next cycle and you will be lovely and refreshed. Maybe its fate x Good luck whatever though xx We'll still all be here for you x

Aalish - Hiya ...again, how are you? Smile Lets hope that we have more luck this time eh? Can't rememeber if I have asked you this, but which Care are you at? What type of TX are you on? IVF, ICSI?? Seems like you have a real cocktail of drugs honey, good luck sweetheart x

Lucy - How did you get on with the eye test? How are you feeling girl?

Clare07 - Welcome! FET - How many do you have? Fingers crossed for you honey... What date do you start?

Clarebear - How are you darlin'? I know what you mean about the old dogs... I love them too but with my job I just didn't think it would be fair to get one until I am home more. Instead I donate to the Dogs trust every month, at least I feel I am helping in some way x When is you DR scan? Must be soon. Let us know how you are getting on x

Purple - Oh babe, I am so sorry that you now have an 8wk tx. I have an idea of what you are feeling about DH, and availability. Sometimes it can't be helped but my DH did something similar on our last TX. His boss was over from Germany and they were having a very important board meeting. I went ballistic, prob shouldn't have but I couldn't believe he was telling me that... the only reason we are going through this is cause he had a vasectomy 16 years ago and so the reversal was not so successful. I think my words were something like... I have to put my body through all this hell and injections etc over weeks and the one thing he needs to do it "fill a pot" - whhich lets face it, can't be that bad! ... That of course was the clean version, so he managed to get the morning free to go and do his bit.

I was so angry at the time and I felt really bad as soon as I had said it, but then again sometimes I think they forget what we have to go through.

Hang in there love, you are only 2 days ahead of me now love as I start inj on sunday.

Well ladies, better set off for another day of travelling... Reading and B'ham today.. oh joy x

Have a good day

Chick xx

Hi girls - well I am feeling more positive this week thank goodness - still got DHs grandads funeral on Thursday but after that off next week and hopefully FET Weds/Thurs/Friday. Have also stopped the healthy food regime and exercise and been drinking and put on nearly half a stone since starting TX - can I blame the drugs??!!

Claire - I will hopefully only be a few days behind you - this is my first FET cycle after our first BFN full ICSI cycle that started in June

Purple - really sorry to hear that the timings have not worked for you ((HUGS)) - will you just be 1 week later now - let us know when you speak to the hospital - would also love to get a dog - we have 2 cats but as both work have kind of resigned myself to the fact that will have to wait till retirement!!

Clare - if DH gets the club in Worksop would you be moving there? I live in Retford. Boxers are very cute - MIL/FIL have 2 - one crazy little girl and one more sombre gentleman - they have had 2 (albeit a total of 6 whilst I have know DH)

Tracie - hope you have a fab holiday - sorry that you are now delaying by a month and I admire you for agreeing to dealy - I think it really shows that you are in this together which is really important - and afterall in the scheme of things 1 month is not very long at all

Chick - am sure you will have a fab time in Taba - can't believe you had to get up at 4.30 - I really would be no good at work at all

Aalish - welcome to the thread - and hope that you get your BFP this time

Made £120 at the car boot on Sunday - and still got some stuff left so think going back next week - actually really enjoyed it - 2 sisters & neice went too and M&D turned up later - Mum pretending to be a customer to drum up trade!! Laughing

Eye test is next week when off - will let you know how blind I am!!

Take care all
Lucy

Hey Lucy,

Congrats on the £120... I wish I was organised enough to do that... usually stick to ebay, but I would rather do a car boot.

Clare - Gladyou had a nice time last night, How did you get on with your dr scan?

Hope you are all ok

Take care

Bad news from me i'm afraid, blood test showed oestrogen still too high to start stimming - got to go back on friday for a scan and another blood test. I'm abit miffed but will have to see what friday brings. It might be a cyst that is causing the problem, if so they will have to make me have another bleed.

Was really hoping to be stimming tonight - but never mind.

Hows everyone else?

Clare cc

Clare - Oh poor you, like a human pincushion... I am like like, I have the crappest veins ever... they can never find them so I end up covered in bruises. Why do they take your blood? They didn't do that with me last time...

I'm not too bad, only 2 more days of work and then...RELAX... can't wait, but then again I get one day of pure relaxation and then the injections begin, that means so do the hot flushes... not what you want in 100 degree heat is it  - Oh well it will be worth it and more if it works x Let the rollercoaster begin! Whoo hoo!

Purple - Great news about everything going ahead. Get searching for that prescription Smile
Hope you get the electric sorted? what was the problem?

Love Chick x

Hey Purple - glad you are sorted,

i don't know about the blood, it might be because i had trouble down regging last time, don't fancy Friday's blood test - my veins will go into hiding i'm sure.

Just watching Dog Borstal on BBC3 - think my dog needs to go there to learn some manners!!!

Lucy - are yo ok?

How many years have you been married? We had our 5th at the end of August - though been together over 15 years altogether. Really hope you get the go ahead on Friday and let me know if you are to become my neighbour XX

Chick - can you fit me in your suitcase?! Good luck with the hot flushes next week!
