Wendy - fab news, clever you! I wouldn't wonder that the reduction in stress hasn't also helped. How's Theo's ear infection now?
VIP - love the pictures of Oliver, especially the one in the armchair - he's going to break a few hearts with that smile!!!
Charlie - wow, where's that time gone? Rest up now!
Amanda - I hope you're enjoying being bored, I'd love to be bored. Ha!!!!! You're doing a fab job, well done.
Nicster - bless you! I know I'll be the same about my babies growing up. They've just moved from cot beds into full size single beds and it brought a year to my eye
Must go ladies, bed beckons. Hope all the other ladies are doing well. I looked at page 1 the other day (started when Will and Bella were born) and thought a lot about Cazza, Shanders, Cat lady, Perejil....does anyone hear from them? |

Morning ladies! Sounds like lots going on.
VIP, so glad your holiday went well, and what a handsome boy you have. This thread really does produce good looking children, doesn't it??!!??!! Julie and I were both very careful to infuse those drugs with magic baby making powers, so looking forward to seeing them work.
Talking of magic baby making powers, those numbers are great, Wendy! Everything seems like it's lined up to make Theo's little brother or sister.
Nicster, I can't even imagine how that feels. Bittersweet though, as we bring our children up to be independent, but then it's sad to let them go.
Charlie, I now have a new ultimate goal, which is for your baby to be "on time" and still arrive before mine! We'd be about 34-35 weeks by then, which would be just amazing.
Ali, are there changes afoot at work, then? Hopefully you can get a bit of time to yourself.
Rachel, sounds like you're really relaxed about Thomas' toilet training, which should hopefully make it much easier for you both.
Maryrose, holiday sounds fab. Just need to pray for us to actually have a summer now!
AFM, had a bit of a rough night. Tried to get to sleep, but had a dreadful, migraine type headache and upper gastric pain. Both are really worrying symptoms of the pre eclampsia progressing, so I had a bit of a panic. They tested my blood pressure and it was 180/110!!! A few extra meds and I felt better instantly and managed to get some sleep. Phew! Things just change so quickly though. Everything back on track and BP now 110/70 this morning. Wish it would make it's bloody mind up, lol!!
Love to all,
Amanda xxx |

Amanda, sorry your BP spiked again, but great that they can alter the drugs and get it sorted. You're nearly 29 weeks now that's fab for you and baby. How did the scan go, was baby still happy? Do they think your BP issues could have been caused by the appendix?
Ali, hope work calms down for you soon, sounds like you're bonkers busy.
Jeni, Theo's ear infection is much better, he's back to his cheeky self. I love that photo of your 2. I can't believe how quickly our babies are growin up. Theo is 2 and 9 months today. Yikes, I'm going to have to start thinking about his birthday soon as we're on hols the last 2 weeks in August, back on 3 Sept, so it will be his birthday before I know it then.
Edenrose, sounds like you're having a fab time. I'm jealous of you being in LA and SF. I've always wanted to go to San Francisco.
Rach, good news that thomas is starting to get the PT. It's definitely a start. With hindsight, I think I had it pretty easy with Theo, although saying that he wee'd twice at childminders yesterday - he seems to have the odd day (particularly when tired) where he just kind of forgets.
Love to everyone else. |

Hi LL's,
Amanda - sorry to hear about the blip with your BP but glad you are still cooking. That's a good goal to have in mind with Charlie. Let's hope your little one plays ball. How did your scan go yesterday? Lol at the youngster in the bed next to you. How hard will it be for her to be pro-creating at such a young age?!
Wendy - all sounds good from your scan yesterday. Sorry I didnt wish you luck. I was reading but couldn't post. Hopefully you are in for a bumper crop of eggs with your new meds. Glad you are enjoying the secondment. Is there any chance of them extending it or are you too efficient and will have completed the work?
Nicster - big hugs hun. I can totally sympathise with you. I dont even like Rory going to stay at his Grandma's overnight. I feel like I have a limb missing. Though it's fair to say my ears get time to heal from the constant battering he gives them! It's though watching them grow up but it's good to know that you have given him the confidence for him to want to go. x
Ali - hope the pressure at work is resolving itself how you want it to.
Maryrose - how are things going with Olly's school? I think your appeal is soon isnt it? At least you have a lovely break to look forward to now.
Rachel - sounds like you are making progress with Thomas. He will get there. Good luck with training your DH. I'm still trying to train mine in lots of things but failing miserably!
Vip - how much has Oliver grown since your last photo? He is such a handsome chappie. Hope things are going well in your countdown to cycling.
Jeni - you two are absolutely gorgeous. It's so scary how quickly they are all growing up isnt it? I agree with your comment on how hard it is being an older working mum. I think we appreciate things so much more as a result.
Edenrose - hope you are having a lovely working holiday.
Charlie - enjoy your rest before your world turns upside down - in a good way of course.
Love to everyone else.
Nothing to report from here. Busy at work and busy at home. We're off on holiday a week tomorrow so have loads to do this weekend as i'll have no time next week. Jenna is so funny and cute at the moment. She talks all the time. She was sat in Rory's room this morning reading a book to herself and sat on his bean bag. She just looked so cute. Rory is just getting louder and louder and is so ready for school. He has his first visit next Tuesday afternoon for half an hour. I've got some time off so I can take him. They give him a book bag to bring home so he is very excited about that. Poor school - they wont know what's hit them when he arrives!
Well, better go and do something.
Hope you're all having a lovely day.
Love to all.

Oops, forgot to update you on the scan. It went really well. Baby ahead of all measures to growth scales, and Doppler scan showing good blood flow. Estimated weight is currently 2lb 13oz, which is 11oz heavier than 2 weeks ago. Obviously just an estimate.
Wendy, it's unlikely to be related to the appendix problems. Far more likely that the pre eclampsia has been influenced by my underlying immune problems. In particular, my routine thyroid test last week showed that I'm hugely under medicated (TSH of 33.5!!!) and that's known to be a contributing factor.
Jacquie, your two sound like great fun!

I just bobbed in whilst my yummy pork steak in lime and ginger is cooking. Mmmm
Dh wasn't here last night, not here tonight [and not here Sat.], so not had much time to get on to post.
Wendy - Wowee! Great news on follicles. You ARE doing well - lovely lining too.
I always had Gonal-F and it did get me lots of nice eggies. Horribly expensive though.
The nurses told me in the clinic, that it is taken directly, from hamsters. Menopur, they said, is distilled from nun's urine. I don't think they were taking the p*ss!
Ha ha-sorry at the unintentional pun!
AuntyMand - Sorry you are having these swings and roundabouts. Baby is doing well though, so that is very encouraging. How is the [very young] lady next door to you?
VIP - Good lord alive! How grown up does Oliver look with that haircut??? He looks ready for school! It gave me a start! We will have to try to meet up in the summer hols.
Jacquie - Sorry if it wasn't you - I know somwone has asked about Olly's school appeal.
Its the week after next, but its merely a formality as we we cannot send him there without a statement due to the class being full. So, we will be knocked back but that is ok as we just have to wait on the decision for a statement. If we get one [and all professionals think we will] then he will go to our 1st choice. If he doesn't, then we have accepted a place in a small school a few miles away where the SEN at our 1st choice is a consultant.
Its weird being all up in the air, but there is nothing I can do about it and so, I am patiently waiting for the Statutory Assessment Team to make their decision. It may not be by September, in which case he will not be going to school . I don't have to legally send him, until Jan. 13.
One way or another, it will be ok, I think. He has made HUGE strides lately. He now plays and talks with other little ones and asks to go to their houses! This is a massive step forward for a little boy who ran away from all LOs, just a few short months ago.
Jeni - Oh my! I giggled at Will being distracted by the spider on the pic. So funny. Olly would be just like that!
Ali - Was just thinking about you this morn. Has Lucy finished her GCSE's now?
Must go before my tea is ruined.
Had lovely bath and bedtime story routine with Olly tonight and then he ruined it by having a poo in my bidet!!! Little swine. He thought it was hysterical. I did not.

Thanks all ladies. Scan was good, ready for EC on Monday, just got to ring at 1.30 to get the time for it. Nurse reckons there are about 10 good follicles (although one was already 23 so I think that ship has sailed, or I might get another dodgy double yolker!). Just got to wait and see. I won't be sorry to see the back of the injections this time, although I will admit that the gonal f does seem to have done something. Just a bit worried that eggs won't be ripe enough as will have only stimmed for 10 days and on previous 2 cycles it was 12 days, but I guess they know what they're doing!
Charlie, lol at your dad running you round. Honestly I get more lifts from my parents now than I ever did as a teenager!
Amanda, not sure I'm believing yet, but I am certainly feeling more relaxed about the whole process than last time as I know I'm not having to fit appointments in around a bonkers work schedule.
Maryrose, I had read that menopur was from female wee (although I didn't know it was from nuns!). It's funny how these things are discovered! Seems to be working though.
Jacquie, not sure about secondment yet, the project I'm working on keeps getting delayed (through no fault of mine obviously ), so it may go on for longer. I'm kind of hoping they offer me a job to be honest!
Amanda, great news about the scan. I'm appalled about your thyroid levels though, aren't you under a specialist for your pregnancy? My endocrinologist has said if I get pregnant to let him know and they'll refer me for care under the specialist ante natal endo doctor. Bad form for everyone there! Hope they've adjusted your meds now. On my last blood test my tsh was 2.2 just before I came off the meds (although mine is overactive thryoid not underactive - not that you'd believe it given I'm a big fatty!).
Flossy, thank you for thinking of me. I presume you've got your goodies and are now home?
Love to everyone else, sorry if I've missed someone. In my normal work today and didn't get in until 10, so better at least pretend to do something!

Phew! Just about caught up.
Amanda - tsk to your BP messing about, but great news it's under control & your scan went well. A&P arrived at 34+4, so that's a good time to aim for
Wendy - Fab news! Hope all goes well on Monday & your final jabs are OK. My last ever jab bruised me and it lasted for weeeeeeks.
Jeni & VIP - Love the new pics
Pika - Belated birthday greetings to Little Miss Sapphire! It's startling how quickly that first flies and then ther following years go even quicker
Hope everyone else is OK and managing to dodge the showers.

Great news Wendy. Hope it all goes well on Monday.
I'm home now and have added up I've been an inpatient 10 times so far this year which is quite mad. At least the staff know me well and I don't have to explain stuff over and over. F's nursery had a fair this morning so helped out at that. Planning a quiet evening with some good food and wine.
Amanda,hope the BP behaves itself!
Hello to everyone else and hope you are having good (and dry) weekends!

Good to hear you are back home, flossy - sorry you've been back in.
wendy - in case I forget, good luck for Monday!
Amanda - hope BP is behaving itself still, and hope you remain bored for some weeks to come!
Isn't it wet girls? Been tipping it down all day, which is frustrating as we've got lots to do to get our extension cleared ready for the plumber to start work on Monday. At least we'll have next weekend as well to totally clear/wash down before the plasterer comes in, but we've got to get it at least clear enough for the plumber to put the pipes in the ceiling ready for the new boiler. We've got loads to take to the tip and I really must put the pram on ebay - but it's hard to get a good photo of it when it's raining so much I can't use the garden...
Oh and can anyone tell me why the floor is the only place Thomas seems to want to sleep?
Love to all

Thanks all ladies. Final injections done! Much easier with the Ovitrelle cause it's the pens, which I've never done before. Always a bit anti climactic I think, nothing more I can do now except hope for the best!!
Will post more tomorrow - shocker having to stay up this late to do jabs. Must go to bed!

P.S. to all...
Not had a fun day, ladies. I need help with DH. He is driving me demented.
Its one thing having a little one who is significantly on the scale for autism. Its quite another trying to parent that LO when the other parent is also significantly on the scale. Its doing my head in - not to mention trying to have a relationship with said other half.
I am going to go off my head at this rate... I just don't know where to seek help and I haven't the time to research either -argghhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Love Maryrose Not a happy bunny xxx |
