Julie - the most important thing is that the hospital hasn't made a mistake and given you the wrong baby(ies). From the photos of your twins ... they look alike and are twins (look at the shape of their temple/forehead and the shape of their ears)!!!
Our clever Briony has come to the rescue and hopefully has put you at ease. Try and relax, and enjoy your beautiful twins.
Love,
Maple

Golly sooo much to catch up on. I have been reading but its been a week of stress this week so not had time to reply. I just wanted to say 'Good Luck' to Vip.
Julie, congratulations on your babies, have you posted pics yet? Hope I haven't missed them.
Maryrose...my heart is with you. My stepson left home at 16 to go back to his Mums ( not a stable place) after getting in with a wrong crowd. Still not back but we are working on the relationship. I thought the grief would finish me off....its heartbreaking and def something you don't need to be doing at the moment. I hope you can find a good resolution. Don't lose yourself in all this though. You are balancing alot of things on behalf of alot of people at the moment. Pace your strength.....I do speak from bitter experience on this one!
Ever had one of those weeks where you wonder if you have entered a portal into a world that you dont understand........well its been one of those. Even my Mum said I was 'Clingy' today ( she meant in a nice way) and I ended up in tears. Its all been very unsettling. D has actually been my little oasis of calm this week and I put his bed in my room the other night so I could be near him. To any of you that remember the troubles I had with him as a baby you will appreciate that he if he is the calm....well.....that tells you the week its been!!
I am rubbish at supporting the IVF bits but I am loving reading the updates. I am rooting for you.
Can't remember which little darling was torturing her mummy with poo....but I am sending you my sympathies. I promise that before you know it she will be shouting 'Mummy I just wiped my bottom' and you breath a sigh of relief and say to yourself....YAY....we have an independent poo - er!!
Sorry such rubbish personals, If I go back a page I will lose this so need to wait till this one fills up to catch up fully.
Elizabeth

Maryrose....just rememberd I wanted to give you the saying my nana used to say to my mum when we were kids....'When they are little they make your arms ache....when they are big they make your heart ache'.
Ring true????

Thanks Briony. With a bit of digging I did find it was possible! They both couldve been A or O -/+ funny though - I just assumed they'd be the same!
They are both growing like weeds and H was over 5lbs on Thurs and L was 4lbs12 1/2 so catching up! Feeding much better both breast and bottle I'm afraid. I just don't have time to express with two of them!
Elizabeth, I think you missed their photos but I will put some more up when I have a spare minute.
Unfortunately I can relate to big DD leaving home... You never stop worrying about them no matter how old they are... I suppose the same goes for my parents...
I am a very lucky lady. My parents bought me a Pandora charm bracelet full of silver charms/ glass beads for the twins arrival.... The charms are all baby items - dummy, pram, blocks, bootees etc so cute!
I hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics. Such a shame about the cyclists.
Love Julie xx |

Afternoon lovely ladies,
Julie, you are a lucky lady indeed, a pandora bracelet, how lovely, I'm very jealous. Don't worry about the formula Hun, sounds like you are doing a fab job x
Elizabeth, really felt for you in your post, sounds like something has really upset you this week, if you feel like talking you know us lovely ladies are allways here to listen x big hugs x
Good luck for your scan in the morning jules, I'll be looking forward seeing your update about all your lovely follicles x
VIP I have got everything crossed for you for tomorrow, I so so so want to read news a your bfp xx
Hope eveyone else is having a lovely day. I did a car boot sale this morning, I didnt really like being up at the crack of dawn but it's a great way to get rid of all the boys old stuff and I made £75 , can't be bad ! Had a lovely day yesterday, John and I went birthday shopping for me and came back with a little something from tiffanys so I feel like a lucky girl too.
Better go, meant to be having a barbecue but the weathers not looking promising so I think it might be an Indoor one. Need to tear my self away from the Olympics first x

Oooooh VIP you have made my week.........However I almost didn't doubt it IYKWIM.....when I just read your news I just thought yes I thought so. I do love hearing lovely news and care ladies getting pregnant, adopting babies or celebrating their babies birthdays are amongst my favourite. HAve you stopped smiling yet?
Nicter...thanks for your lovely words, yes its been a bit of an unsettling week but I have had a lovely weekend with my Mum and then DH's Mum came today and between them they have sorted my head out and I feel a bit better.
Ladies, I have put an ad on swapping and shopping. Won't say anymore on this thread as not appropriate. Its' a nice treat type ad though....

I tested yesterday morning. Tbh, I'd been in a bad mood for a few days and come Friday evening I'd had enough and justwanted to know either way..... I was getting some a/f type cramping and my sense of smell was fairly strong and that's when I thought maybe, just maybe I could be pg Woke up last night in the middle of the night and my boobies were sore.....so it's all good!! Hopefully something is going on.
OTD not til Tuesday so hang on in there little embie/s !! |

Elizabeth [and everyone] - all sorted now with big boy and he is minding his P's and Q's too, so good result! I keep bursting into song with "I promised you a miracle..." every time I see that he has folded up his clothes or changed the bin liner!
Everyone - Got a nasty virus and feel rotten . Whatever it is, its horrible. Main symptoms are an annoying tickly cough [awake from 2am to 5.30am and very painful shooting pains in limbs. It wrecks!
Its amazing how quickly we forget about the bug season, once we are in summer. Haven't had anything properly since Christmas, so suppose can't complain.
Have had a very surreal time this afternoon, driving round looking at peoples houses and garages. DH wants to hire the cheapest of the quotes for the building of the garage and so I insisted that we see some of their work.
After much chasing of wild gooses, we got a list and this afternoon, we went out to take a look.
I hadn't warned Dh, but once we got to our destinations I knocked on all the doors and [apologetically] explained our errand.
Think I might patent it as a way to meet new people! LOL, on our last visit, Olly came away with 2 skateboards and a coin he found in their garden! Felt like we had known them years after half an hour. Very bizarre, but pleasantly so.
Going to bed now armed with the night nurse. Love Maryrose xxx |

Hey maryrose...I like the singing!! Enjoy your nightnurse....... I haven't had that for years because it is hardcore!! Even the taste makes it feel like you are going under a full anaesthetic!
No wonder at all you are poorly........glad though that things have settled with big boy.
Now its time for you to rest up mrs

WOOHOO VIP!!!! Congrats to you, I'm so happy for you! Jack was a blast frostie too so I had high hopes it would work for you. When's your 1st scan? Can't wait to hear if they've both stuck...
Maryrose, glad you've sorted things out with big DS. Hope that bug isn't getting hold of you, hope you feel better soon.
Sorry I've not posted much lately... still no news re job for DH. He's had his interview and now needs to do a flight test but the weather here has been cr*ppy so it has been postponed a few times. Should be ok for tomorrow though.
Been thinking of you all and I hope you're all doing o.k.
Flossy, sending you an extra hug, and I hope you're doing better.
Love to all,
Possum xx |
