Hi Marie, just wondered how are things going with you? Is everything looking ok for you starting again?? Are you going on short or long protocol?

How are you feeling Kitty? Cant be long now?

I am back for another scan tomorrow and if everything is ok EC should be on Saturday, keep everything crossed for me.

Hi Emma,

Good luck for scan tomorrow, EC will be soon then, thats great. You'll soon have that BFP.

I'm ok, been off work last 2 days as had bad period type pains, my midwife wanted to send me to hospital as she thought i was in early labour but i thought it was due to the iron tablets i'm on as i'm anemic. Doc has changed my iron tablets so hoping the pains will ease off now.
Got a lovely sore throat coming on aswell. I finish work next Fri so not long to go. Bet i'll be bored though until baby Lewis arrives!

hi Emma,

Im on the short protocol, not sure what the difference is tho! I did ask yesterday but still didnt get it!!
Just waiting for my af to arrive and day now then injections start day 21. Its dragging now.
That has gone so quickly for you, cant believe your having ec on sat, how have you found things so far?

Hi Kitty,

Hope your starting to feel better. i think its boys, they take it all out of you dont they!!
Take advantage of rest time time when you finish work because once hes here you wont be getting bored!

Hi Marie, not found things too bad up to now, but I must admit I am glad I am ready to stop injecting now and go for EC, I have been so emotional and stressed over the past couple of days, just the drugs I assume!!!

hi Emma,
Its nice to stop injecting isnt it. I was exactly the same and very hormonal, took me weeks to get back to normal after ec.
I will let you know how i get on and hope your ec goes ok. That part was easy too so dont worry about that. It was just after i was really sore and swollen for a week and couldnt even drive but i had mild case of ohss because of so many eggs. Good luck.

Hi Marie,

Hi Marie, I had EC on Saturday morning with sedation and it was fine I don't remember a thing!!!
They got 7 eggs which panicked me as I thought it might not be enough but the clinic rang me this morning and 6 of them were mature enough and 5 of them have fertilised so they have booked me back in for ET tomorrow morning at 10am. I am so pleased we have got to this stage, but terrified now of being so close and then failing, think the next 2 weeks will be very hard!!!

How are you, have you got started yet?

Ah thats really good. I really hope it works for you, everything good up to now so fingers crossed it works.
I think that the 2 weeks waiting are the worst arnt they.
Still waiting for af, hoping its today then can order my drugs and get started soon, its going really slow now.

Hi Marie, just got back from CARE with 2 grade A 4 cell embryos transferred and 2 grade A, 1 4 cell and 1 3 cell in the freezer, so exciting!!!

Hope you get AF today and get started, I can't believe how quickly it has gone, just hoping I dont go too mad over the next 2 weeks, how much time are you planning to have off work, I am not sure what to do?

hi Emma, Thats great news. You need to be relaxing now then!!
After i had ec i had a week off because i was so sore. I did egg share so produced more eggs and got 31 in the end so couldnt even move!
I think when i do it next time i would have 2 weeks off so ive got a week to rest after et aswell (thats if i get that far).
I dont understand tho, what does it mean by how many cells in the embryo??

After they fertilise they start dividing, I think for a 2 day transfer they like them to be at 4 cell stage but not entirely sure I just leave it to them they are the experts!!!
They showed us the 2 embryos on the screen before transferring which was strange I can picture them in my head now and am willing them to keep dividing and then attach!!!

Last week of work how lovely.....make sure you get lots of rest before your little boy arrives, because you won't get any once he does ha ha

hi kitty, No still no sign!! I can feel it though so should be soon, i was due yesterday and wish it would hurry up so i can just get started!
Only 3 and a half days left at work for you, how nice is that! You can start relaxing then and get ready because it will fly by now. Hope you feel better soon

Hi Kitty, hope you enjoy your last day at work tomorrow, next week you can be the daytime tv queen ha ha!!! Hope you are feeling well. Any advice on how to get through the 2WW in 1 piece? The pessaries are making me really ill and I am trying to have PMA but I can't stop thinking it is only 1 in 3 it won't be you first time, but you did it first time didn't you?? A lot of the girls are testing early, did you??

Hi emma and marie,

Emma - Yes it did work for me 1st time, i had 2 embies, 1 grade 2 and a grade 3. The 2ww sent me nuts. I had really bad AF type pain about 6 days after ET, i was certain i would get BFN, i tested all the way through 2ww for hcg to leave my sytem with 10miu test from access diagnotics and got a faint BFP 7 days after ET so AF pain must have been implantation. I carried on testing and got a BFP on a clearblue test 9 days after ET and a really dark positive line 11 days after ET using a first response test. The early testing did mess with my head though and i would advise if you can wait to wait to test on OTD.

In 2ww i ate 3-5 brazil nuts a day, full fat organic milk, drank plenty of still bottled water and drank 100% pressed pineapple juice in 1st week of the wait. I don't know if any of this actually helped but i got BFP so who knows!

Really hope it works out for you, sendiong you lots of sticky vibes.

Marie - Still no sign of you AF? Won't be long now. It never arrives when you want it to, only when you dont.

It was my last day today, left work this morning. They let me go early cus not meant to leave until 4pm. I got a few prezzies for Lewis and a gift voucher for NEXT so i'll be hitting the shops soon. It's a strange feeling not having to go back to work for a whole year, and when i do it'll be part time! Looking forward to seeing my husband on Monday, he's working away at the moment.

hi Kitty, No still no sign today either!
Its such a nice feeling knowing you dont have to work anymore and even when you do go back its only part time. i only went back full time when Josh was 6, and worked part time before that, took me ages to get used to it again!!
Ah bet your missing him, but i bet it makes you get on better tho doesnt it when they work away!!

Hi Marie,

I'm used to DH working away as he was in Royal Navy for seven years so although in his job on civvy street he still works away, it's no where near as bad as the Navy. It does make you get on better when you are apart, think we'd drive each other crazy if he came home every night as we're so used to spending some time apart.

Hope AF arrives soon.

Morning Kitty,
They do drive you mad dont they, my partner works shifts so does nights aswell. I love it when hes on nights, its so nice to have the night to myself sometimes!! Hope hes got a bit of time off when lewis is born tho.
Looks like were going to have some nice weather anyway, you can enjoy it while your off.
And yes i hope af hurries up, im getting impatient now.

hi emma, the injecting part seemed to go really quickly for you but the waiting seems to be dragging!
From what ive read about other ladies symptoms, most have had af pains and had bfp's.
Can you remember the 1st time you were pregnant? I can remember, i wouldnt do a test because i just thought i was going to come on. I had really bad period pains and my friends at work made me do one, i remember it really well and was convinced i wasnt. i was so shocked when it was positive. I think the sysmptoms for pregnancy and af are exactly the same! so be positive.
I think if i were you i would wait til nearer the end of the week, but i bet iits hard to resist.
I still havent started af either, i even did a test at the weekend and it was negative so still waiting.
Dont know why i tested but i suppose there is still always a tiny possability.
