Anne, here comes another WOOOOHOOOO for you! Fab results. You are so rocking and rolling, at the moment! Great to hear that your stomach is, too!
Nicole, I'm just having a squidgy moment looking at your new signature photo! My goodness, what beautiful babies!!! Oooooh.... Can I borrow one please? I have to say, I was blown away by the schedule you posted for Roz. I read it with a mixture of horror and admiration (indulging my now deep-seated fear of hatching twins). How on earth did you develop that routine? You are so organized! I'm just completely impressed.
Thanks, Nicky, Nicole, Anne, Nicola, Briony and everyone else for your best wishes... I'm absolutely blotto with fatigue at the moment but I'm trying to remind myself that, past this deadline (now Sat morning), I can focus on my cycle! It's the big carrot I'm using to urge myself to work harder and keep going. Oh, that and cake. And chocolate. I've completely broken down on the chocolate front, too... No willpower. I can't write without treats. I hope plain Swiss dark chocolate does have too much caffeine!
Love and hugs to all,
Edenrose xxx |

Anne - I am so pleased for you. That is a wonderful result. I bet you'll struggle to concentrate on work or anything else at the moment.
Briony - how lovely that you got to see the flickering heartbeat. I remember that day with Tamara's first scan so well. It is such a relief and a very emotional time for all the right reasons.
It's going to be wonderful on here hearing the progress of so many pregnancies. They'll definitely be a baby boom next Spring!
Welcome Jules.
Sorry not got time to catch up properly. Hopefully I will have more time when we get back from France next week, although it will then be less than 2 weeks to our next holiday!! |

Dear Anne,
Fantastic rise, so very happy for you! Do you now book a scan locally, or have to go back?? Excuse my ignorance. Oh that is great news, I was really jumpy waiting for your update!
Thanks everyone else for your kind wishes, it all feels a bit surreal at the moment - so happy to have a healthy little bean flickering away
Aubergine, did you have your tt appt yet??
Edenrose, a bit of chocolate goes a long way to make a cycle more bearable - I'm proof that a bit of the dark stuff in no way interferes with a cycle in a negative way! Bet you'll be glad come the weekend and deadline over. What sort of writing do you do?
Nicole, your pics are epic!
Can't go back, will lose my post so apologies to anyone I've omitted!
Love Briony |

Ooooops, I just realized that I accidentally wrote "does have too much caffeine," when I meant does NOT, of course! A Freudian slip, methinks... In addition to my furtive Swiss chocolate consumption, I've been walking past Costa inhaling deeply, just trying to get a hit! I struggle to give up coffee. But I shall be good. My will is strong. It just needs to be a little bit stronger!
Briony, I'm a financial journalist. No rest possible at the moment! It's chaos out there...
Jules, welcome to the thread and good luck!
Roz, I hope the amazing routine works wonders for your two littlies!
Goodnight, lovely ladies.

Hello Lovely Ladies, from a very wet, soggy and muggy Yorkshire!
Edenerose, I hope that you will have time to destress before your cycle once you have this pesky deadline out of the way? I think that a little of what you fancy does you good so if you need chocolate, you need chocolate. At Reprofit they tell you to have a small glass of wine to chill out the night of et!
Jules, how are you holding out? Are you going to test early wait until the otd? Have you tried the decaff coffees, there are some really good ones, Taylors of Harrogate do a really good one. I have that all the time and it is has so little caffine so 20 cups would be the equivalent as 1 cup of normal coffee? (sorry if you are already using it!!)
Nicky, I am not surprised that you are soooooooooooo frustrated with work, what a complete waste of space they sound. Thank goodness that you have gorgeous Zach to come home to after dealing with such muppets!
Nicole, the pictures of Alex and Julian are just scrumpious, they have changed so much and look like such cheeky monkeys. Have a fan weekend and I hope that the rain stops for you too?
Aubergine or should we say our very own Gloria Hunniford (far more glamerous and far, far younger of course!!) glad that you are having a lovely holiday and how lucky you are to be jetting off again so soon! I hope that you can make some headway with Tamara's toungue tie inbetween your trips, although I am sure that you are all having just an amazing time in the sunshine?
Nicola, I hope that you have a marvellous last weekend to your short (ah hem!!) holiday too and that dh does not become too accustomed to wearing your flip flops (although he did rather cut the mustard in them I have to say!!!)
Briony, are you still smiling like a cheshire cat too? We go to see George at Zita West in London for our first 2 scans and then he passes us back so luckily we don't have to go back to Brno (would probably be cheaper though!!!) Do you have an 8 week scan too?
Roz or should I say miss routine!!! Good luck with that, Nicoles routine is certainly not for the faint hearted and is just amazing! What a fantastic twin Mum role model she is! I hope that you are happily enjoying all your boys? Sounds fantastic!
VIP, I hope that you are still up there on cloud 9 too and that this 2 weeks is not quite as stressful as the last one, there is always something to count down to isn't there?
Thank you Reds, we are thrilled!
Maple as always waves "hello"
George has just phoned (he is such a lovely bloke!) he wants me to have a scan on the 4th of September which will be 7 weeks so I think (says very quietly, sorry Babybird Julie!) that we shall book into thisismy in Leeds for a 6 week one as I cannot wait that long, particularly as that is when everything went wrong last time. I may ask my Dr on Monday if they can do one at the EPU in Harrogate as the Sister that we saw back in April (shudders) said that they would happily scan me every week from 6 weeks due to my history so we shall see, by hook or by crook we shall be seeing what's going on at 6 weeks!
Lots of love to all you very special ladies, it is the weekend - yipee
(sorry Edenrose as I guess that yours starts tomorrow when you press send!!)
Anne

Thanks VIP, , I am actually feeling quite sick which I have never had before - never before have I been so happy to feel so rough! Given what happened after our 6 week scan last time, I think that it will be after the 8 week one when we may be able to relax ( hmmmmmm!) I hope that you are feeling ok? How's that bruising?
Jules good luck tomorrow, here's hoping that you have two wonderful lines! Will be thinking of you, thank you for your thoughts - we are indeed over the moon!
Lots of love to all, hope that everyone has had a lovely sunny day

Hello sister's,
Long time no hear from me eh?? so sorry i have been absent for so long, but i do have my spies updating me on any news....
Crazy...what can i say?? i was over the moon to hear of your BFP! fab Beta results too, its doubling nicely. When is your first scan? i am keeping everything crossed for you this time hun.
Nicola, how are you and the gorgeous Rosie doing? i cannot believe she is 8 months already.
Brandy, how are the little Bee's?? they look absolutely scrummy from the pictures i have seen.
Roz, congratulations on your twin boys, how's twin motherhood treating you?
Aubergine, little Tamara is so adorable, she looks like a little angel.
Edenrose, how are you doing hun? please accept my apologies for my ignorance as to where you are at in your journey, but i daren't go back a page for loosing this post!!
I just wanted to do a quick post to say hi to you all and to let you all know i do still think of you all often.
We have been in hospital with Matilda for over a month (we were discharged last week) so i have been busy. I have however uploaded some pics and changed my signature pic for those who are not on facebook (is anyone on here on FB who i don't have on my friends list?)
My sig pic was taken in Florida before Matilda had her surgery. She is now the proud owner (not) of a huge hip spica cast (she had surgery to replace her dislocated hips) which is proving to be a nightmare, it starts under her armpits and finishes at the bottom of each ankle!! so she doesn't bend at all...oh the joys
Hi to everyone else, love to all.
Sharon xxx |

Sharon ... SOOOO lovely to hear news of your beautiful family. Matilda looks so happy and content, despite her casts, although I am sure her new one must be so uncomfortable in this hot weather, bless her. xx
She and Layla are so very different, all your children are beautiful. xx
Jules .... I am sure you have tested a bit too early, especially since your OTD is still 8 days away. Hang in there and test on your OTD. The nurses would tell you not to stop your meds and test on OTD, I am sure ;o) |

Hello ladies,
Sharon how wonderful to see your name again, you are one amazing lady!you always seem so calm and just take everything in your stride. Matilda is going to take after her mummy methinks! As Nicole says you have 3 beautiful children. I am sure that time will fly by until November, however I am sure that it weighs a tonne too! Please keep in touch it is so lovely to hear from you.take care xxxx
Nicole, am sure that Alex and Julian will be running rings around their big fat monster friend in no time at all. They are just so gorgeous!
Jules sorry that yo had a bfn, however as everyone has said ( well all2!) it is very early days and the fat lady certainly isn't singing yet! Here's hoping that it changes to a lovely bcp before the end of the week for you and dh.
Not much to report, just made the haired bikers lasagne ( cannot stand to listen to them though - they drive me crackers!) which has taken me ages - raining outside so not much else to do and it is huge so will keep us going! Great news MIL seems to have the message re hassling me about work as it was not mentioned today - phew!
Lots of love to everyone and if the weather is good with you today then make the most of it!
Anne

Crazy - Sharon has SIX beautiful children ... can't you count?
Sharon - Matilda is just so gorgeous, even when in a michelin man mould/cast! Poor little thing. I am dying to ask, why was she wearing a nappy OUTSIDE her cast ... surely the cast would have contained all the excreta ... unless there is a hole in it?
Love,
Maple

Maple, PMSL!!
I should have explained about the nappy saga....she is doubled nappied! There is a big square hole in the cast in her nether region, so the first nappy - a smaller size is pushed up into the cast both front and back, so this is theory catches what it should do and the outer nappy is to hold that one in place IYSWIM.
As you can imagine nappy changes are fun!! I have mastered to do it alone now...but I can tell you when she was on IV antibiotics it was not good!! OMG how I have managed to keep the cast clear of such explosions I do not know!!
Crazy, lovely to hear from you. X x |
