I know what you mean, it such a hard process to put yourself through without any guarantee's, and if you haven't been there yourself you can never understand, that's why it's good to have the BB so u can chat with people who do! If u ever need to vent don't hesitate! Xxx

AFM - I am ok all seems to be going fine, I am 27 weeks now & it is going very fast, baby seems to be moving around a lot more now. I had horrible news at work this week my work friends sister lost her baby at 38 weeks due to preclampsia can you believe! I could not even begin to imagine what she must be going through, to be two weeks away from having your baby & then to lose it like that is just unbearable to think about! It has really upset me and is making me worry if I don't feel my baby move over afew hours! I keep shaking my tummy to try & get some movement for some piece of mind that all is ok, which I know it is really but the news has really frightened me that it still could be taken away at any moment.
I am trying to remain positive & know it's not likely to happen to me, but you can't help feeling worried can you.
Anyway you take care,
Helen x

Hi Helen, that's such sad news, your right you can't imagine loosing a baby when uv carried them for 9 months. My cousins girlfriend lost her first baby to pre eclampsia she was 24 weeks, we had to have a proper funeral, it was so sad and tragic.i know it's easier said than done but try not to worry, it is quite rare and your midwife will keep monitoring you for protein in ur urine, you just need to watch out for swollen hands or ankles. You'll be fine, your baby is a little miracle. Have you started to buy anything yet ? Any gut feeling if it's blue or pink ?

Hi Nicster

I know it's very sad and I know it's also not likely anything bad is going to happen, so I am trying to remain positive!
Yes we've ordered lots like pushchair, cot, changing table etc and bought basic 1st baby clothes that are neutral, & just bits & bobs really. We are in the middle of decorating the nursery which is exciting, & making it feel alittle more real! (as it still doesn't feel real at all!) haha. I have a feeling it's a boy, not sure why?! But time will tell!
Hope you are ok chick?!x
Take care

Hi Helen, ooh it's so exciting buying all the stuff, your right it makes it more real, mind you I remember looking at all the things and just couldn't imagine I was going to have a real baby of my own using all this stuff, a real little person that I was responsible for ! I had a gut feeling 1st time round with Cameron that I was having a boy, all along I bonded with him as a boy, if he'd of come out a girl I would of thought I'd got the wrong baby ! Did you have any cravings ? They say if you crave sweet things it's a girl and savoury its a boy, believe it or not that theory has proved right with me and everyone I know.

I'm doing ok at the minute, I've got lots to keep me busy at the minute, work, boys etc and I'm trying to formulate a plan re treatment or no treatment so we'll see x

Hi Nicster, yes I craved savoury foods for most of the pregnancy but the cravings seemed to have stopped now and I just want a varied diet again. We have now finished the nursery & I finish work in 3 weeks I can't believe how quick it has come round & only 7 more weeks till my due date.
I have this week off but either I have a cold that's started or it's really bad hay fever can't decide which at the moment, which ever it is, it can do one! It's making me feel dreadful! Apart from that baby bump seems to be doing well.
Hope u are doing ok.

Hi Helen, oh my god I can't believe youve only got 7 weeks left, how quickly has that gone ! Mm savoury cravings, my money is definately on a blue one for you. Make sure you make the most of your week off with some lovely you time.

Things are ok with me, I've booked in to have the level 2 tests done in a couple of weeks so we'll see if that shows anything up x

Nicster good luck with the level 2 tests, hope u get the results you are looking for. Let me know how you get on.
This week has been Abit of a wash out, suffered with a horrible cold all week so not felt up to doing a lot, I suppose it's made me rest though, something I don't like doing, always on the go!
I'm terrible for having lists of jobs I want to get through & if I don't get through them I get really frustrated with myself haha! Oh well x
Take care

Hi Helen, hope your cold is getting better, bet youve felt well and truly miserable with the weather and being bunged up. I've been off work with the boys for half term and it's been a nightmare trying to keep them occupied, I've spent a fortune !

Level 2 tests are Tuesday. Think it probably takes a good two weeks to get the results through so it will be touch and go if I get the results before my review with care.

Bit fed up with the service Im getting at the ARGC,( London clinic) went for the review nearly two weeks ago and they still havent replied to an email I sent the same day asking a few more questions. I've emailed them twice since chasing them up and nothing !

Hope baby bump is doing ok x

Hope you are well, take care,

Hi Nicster, we've had a little girl! We were totally shocked as I thought it would be a boy all the way through my pregnancy! She is 12days old & she came 11days early! We've called her Megan she was 6lb 9oz born on July 9th. We are both doing quite well now after Abit of a rocky start with breast feeding & her having jaundice, we seem to be coming through that now, & she is beginning to put weight on, so I am happy. I can't believe I'm finally here, & have my precious little daughter at last!

Hope you are well, & hope all your tests have gone well?! Are you doing another cycle?

Take care

Helen xx

Aah Helen congratulations on the birth of your little princess, I told you I'm always wrong guessing if it's a boy or girl, think I said you would have a boy ! Bet she's absolutely gorgeous and Megan is a lovely name. Welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood.

Well afm. I'm starting on the rollercoaster again this week, got a hysteroscopy booked for Wednesday and start down regging aswell, I'm doing the full immune cycle this time, intralipids, steroids, the works ! If this doesn't do the trick then nothing will. I'll definately be hanging my ivf boots up after this, 7 cycles is enough for anyone.

Can't wait to hear more updates on you and Megan.

Lots of love

Nicster x
