Harry is a lovely name. I like that.
No we are not going to find out unless it happens by accident. We have seen loads of I love my Bear or a mamas and papas brand of very nutural nursery decorations, bedding, towels etc etc so we might buy that. Then we might just buy one boy's outfit and one girl's for whatever sex the baby is for coming out of hospital in.
We have two names -
Nathanial Thomas
Calliope Paige (Callie for short) (inspired by Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy )
Is red a unisex couple? Looking at prams in red but dont really fancy the black ones. |

| Red is unisex I think you would get away with that. Some prams now really do come with strong bold colours |

Hi Ladies
Sorry I have not been around for so long. Fingers and Chestnut so pleased all seems to be going so well for you. I definitely think red is unisex my mate had a red pram for her little boy. That show sounds good wish I could come LOL.
AFM – well busy in the middle of home study at the mo. Things seem to be going ok. Mum and dad and a couple of my friends are on a training course today and then later on mum and dad are being interviewed by the social worker. I just hope my mum keeps her mouth shut. She is very protective off me and keeps saying if they don’t give me a child she is going to the press!!!!!!! OMG! I know she is just being nice about it because she knows I will make a good mum but I do hope that it all works out I don’t particularly want to be spread across the front pages of the national dailies!! LOL.
3 more weeks to go before I break up and I cant flipping wait. I am shattered I can tell you. Not got a hols planned will just have a few days at mum and dads I think. I seem to have too much going on just a day here and a visit there so cant fit anything in even if I could afford it.
Sorry this is short and sweet doing too many peoples jobs at the mo at work as they are all off on long term sick or compassionate leave.
Big hugs to all.
Take care. xx |

Ladies Ladies Ladies
How are you all?
Sar and Taz - Are you any further along with the adoption process? Sar how is the studying going? I hope your mum was very polite at the interview.
Taz - Sorry there has been no nice weather for you to enjoy of late. Are you finding things to keep you occupied?
Chestnut - Have you bought anything else yet? I am still adding to my list of things that i want but not bought anything yet.
I haven't been to work today. Got a trapped nerve and my numb legs and bum are doing my head in. I can live with it as I know the end result will be a bubba and it all should end after delivery but boy it is annoying. Couldn't face sitting on my bum all day. I feel like I am going to get renamed sicknote though as with the mc last year, losing twin 2 and these legs problems i have had soo much time off in the last year it is mad. Good job they disregard any pregnancy related sickness as i would be up ...creek!
I started feeling little fluttering movements about a week and a half ago and I also got a doppler. It an Angel Sounds one and I am a little addicted to be honest. I love hearing that boom boom boom.
Hope you are all doing well in your journeys. Funny how different all our circs are now when before when we started this thread we were all on hpefully the same path. We are all on the way tho hey!

The flutters will just get more and more. I get it day and night but I'm not complaining, cause then I know everything is alright.
Fingers are you going to find out the sex? |

Hi ladies, I'm still here just busy doing nothing...lol
I can't believe how your two pregnancies are getting along, fingers now 17 weeks!!!!!where did that time go??? And Chestnut is galloping ahead.
Fingers, It's lovely to hear you sounding much more relaxed about things and having the Doppler must be reassuring.
Keep us updated ladies, I'm sure the others are stalking you like me, just sometimes difficult to post and I must admit that I tend to avoid the full BB site (just go straight to a thread) as I still find it quite difficult.

Chestnut - how is the water infection? Hope you are not suffering too much.
Taz I am sorry you still find coming on here difficult and with me and Chestnut it must not be making it any easier for you. I completely understand and am thinking of you anyway and hoping that you can find some comfort once you finally adopt a little one!

Sample has come back and shows that I don't have an infection. I don't know what it was might of been just dehydrated maybe. Went back to work today and felt rubbish again so I came home and slept for 3 hours. Maybe that's the thing now I just getting really tired.
How are you fingers, how's the legs?
Anything planned for the weekend? Dp is off to Scotland to see family and see madonna in Edinburgh. It's my weekend off but really not my thing so have passed. I plan on going to see the new batman film tomorrow, can not wait.
I have noticed parts of my stomach go rock hard now at times, really weird. He wakes me up kicking in the mornings now lol wouldn't change it for the world. I forgave forgotten what it is like not to be pregnant ;O) |

Hi Ladies
I just wanted to pop on and make sure you are all ok. Braxton Hicks hey Chestnut crumbs! Hope your pain has gone now.
Fingers are you a little happier now with your doppler it must be amazing to hear the heartbeat.
Taz - Hope all is going well with you! Sorry I have been so busy what with all these meetings and now having to do online courses too that I am just worn out and have no time to chat to anyone.
Meetings are going ok. My mum behaved herself LOL. Got a meeting in a couple of weeks to talk about matching. I have had to fill in all the forms and say what I would would want etc and then we discuss it. Also it was sugggested that I attended some course which is a nightmare as getting time off is impossible and they only run these things mid week so i have managed to get myself sorted out with some online courses and hopefully in the hols i will be able to complete a couple. I am hoping that will look good when I go to panel.
Well enjoy this gorgeous weather whilst it lasts. heres to the 100 metres Mens (I do love that one I wonder why LOL LOL)
Take care all.

Damn phone just deleted my post. Grr
Sar omg i love the athletics. Especially the 100 metres altho i watch the running only, honest! Lol
U enjoying the holidays? Lovely weather?
Chestnut do they hurt or just odd?
I had to get my bloods tested coz of slap cheek inmy nephews school. Apparently can be quite dangerous for pregnant women and the baby. Luckily midwife called and said ive got some immunity to it so shoud be ok.
Midwife is.seeing me more than usual coz ofmy anxiety so seeing her tomorrow. Only saw her 3 weeks ago!
Still addicted to doppler but I'm trying not to use too often. Feeling the legs kicking me im sure. Feels like pressure most of the time then little pokes.
Take care xxx |

| Awwww fingers sorry to hear you are still really anxious, I'm sure once baby starts kicking you in the ribs all the time you will relax a little but in the meantime it's good that the midwife is keeping close eye on you. 18 weeks already, you will start to hit the milestones which will hopefully help you with your anxiety, almost half way there now. I guess Ivf ladies all worry (I know I would) having gone through so much it must be hard to believe it is actually real. Sending you a great big hug xxxxx |

Hope everyone is well

Hi tax and everyone else. I'm good thanks apart from the conception. So having to continue to take fiber gel twice a day then lactolose other wise I'm in a mess or lack of a mess if you know what I mean. Not forgetting I am on gaviscon every night for heart burn. All I can sayis thank god prescriptions are free when your pregnant as fiber gel and gaviscon would be costing me a fortune.
I get cramp some nights, which wakes me and jump out of bed. I find that if I have a banana this stops it from happening. I live in my crocs because I can not bend over to put my shoes on. My crocs are bright green and this cock of an insp who I have never seen before asked to have a word with me the other day, moaning about the way I was dressed and my green crocs .........for god sake I'm pregnant work in an office dealing with people on the phones who can not see me. He said I was dressed how he would dress to do the gardening. Cheeky fat git. He said I'm not suggesting you go out and buy yourself a new wardrobe but!!!!!! I said good cause I'm not buying a single thing. I said I'm dressed smart but casual and the reason I'm wearing my crocs is because my feet are swallow which was a little lie lol. I also informed him that before I went into plain clothes I asked the question what was acceptable for me to wear and I was told by MY insp that anything was fine asking as I don't where jeans and trainers. Then I smiled and walked out lol the saw him the over day and I was still weary g my crocs lol.
I only have 6 weeks left until I start my maternity leave & annual leave. I can not wait. However I'm on stand by at court for two weeks in Liverpool just before I go on leave and just know I'm going to have to give evidence, which I am dreading so much after the last time with that drink driver.
Started to sort the nursery out. Just need to paint the draws and changing unit.
I'm getting back ache now and then, when I've been on my feet too much but not too much. Legs starting to ache also when in bed.
Im finally 29 weeks come tomorrow and only have 11 weeks left :0) feel like I've been pregnant forever I must admit.
Now your fully updated lol
Fingers how are you getting on??

Hi Everyone
Welcome Lilypad. Oh its such a tense but exciting time your at at the mo. All the ladies on here are excellent with advice so just ask away if you need to know anything. Fingers crossed to finding out how many have fertilized. How many did they collect? Are you having 1 or 2 put back?
Chestnut I cant believe your 29 week crumbs where has that time gone? I was so cross but had to laugh re that inspector. What an ar*e hole. He really needs a good smack. Glad your still wearing your crocs!
Fingers how are you doing love?
Taz - What stage you at hows everything going?
AFM - Just had a fabulous few days at my parents and I have come back all sun burnt. Think there might even be a very slow growing romance but I am not counting my chickens at all. We have been friends for years and years and years and he has a lot of issues with ex wife so just keeping it to texts and the odd phone call and cup of coffee and seeing where it takes us. Its not an ideal time for me at the mo what with everything thats going on so quite happy to just be mates and let something develop over time if its going to.
I got my medical paperwork the other day. Not eaten any sweets or anything inbetween meals since LOL OMG you should see what they ask. Not sure how I am going to get round one of the questions it asks if you have ever been depressed well when I was 20 I went through a really bad time for about 6 months and saw the doc for it so I know its on my medical records but how can I say that becasue you know what these people are like they will probably have me down as a manic depressive before I have even had chance to say anything and it might blow my chances. Girls help me out here what would you do. bearing in mind that it was over 20 years ago and a doc has to go through my medical records what would you all do?
I am really enjoying the Olympics. I love the rowing and the cycling. I enjoy watching the highlights later on at night. What about you lot?
Right well off to try and sort my house out.
Take care everyone and Lilypad let us know how you get on I have everything crossed for you. Is transfer day Monday or Tuesday?

Oh wiggles is what we call baby at mo coz it doesn't sound nice!
Physio for legs and hips on Thursday. Getting some ligament pain this week to - chestnut did u still get this at 20 weeks???
Crocs i agree with but why green??? Lol.
Chestnut we've booked Manchester baby show for the sunday.Maybe we will see u there!
Sounds like u r having fun with all ur pregnancy issues. I feel bad for complaining.about mine and don't care if i lose a leg or am in constant pain as long as wiggles is ok! Not particularly comfy tho. My belly is huge and getting stretchmarks and veiny! Yummy!
Sar go for it girl. Dont let anything hold u back from potential happiness!

Hi ladies,
Fingers 20w scan....where has that time gone? I'm going for team pink for you, just to even things out..haha. Make sure you keep up the physio for your legs/ hips, sounds like spd which I know can be very painful, but like you say no matter how hard pregnancy gets you will always remember how lucky you are to be having this experience xxx
Sar, great news about the laptop and even better news about the growing freindship (nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!) I think you are right in taking things easy, just go with the flow Hun, you know my moto.....what will be will be or what is meant for us in life won't pass you by...!!! Hope the one to one's are going ok. My friend was approved on Friday, just 8 months since making the initial phonecall...so goes to show some councils can move fast.....some others need a rocket up their ar*es!! They have told her to be prepared for being matched very quickly and she has stipulated a very young child so it goes to show it can be done! Are you still on for panel next month? Things going ok here, we should hopefully start to see things happening in the next month or so, it's been a Blinkin long wait but hopefully worth it!!
Chestnut, only 4 more weeks in work, wow that has gone fast. It sounds like you aren't really enjoying your pregnancy symptoms but like Fingers has said as long as little one is ok, only a few more weeks to go and once you get into single figures it will go fast. I would give my right arm to walk in your shoes for an hour just to experience the feeling of being pregnant....although perhaps not the crocs!!! Haha xxx
Hi Louise, welcome to the thread and hope that your little embie stays strong for you. Unfortunately there are none of us cying on this thread now as 2 ladies are pregnant and the rest of us are looking into adoption but we are all here for you and know how stressful the whole Ivf journey is.
Dawn, not heard from you in ages, hold you are ok if you are still reading. Xx
