Hi all

Thanks guys 4 advice about D and noise. I did wanna join mother and baby groups but I was waitin 4 D's colic 2 pass as I was stressing about takin him out on my own and he cries all the way thru! I went 2 the local surestart ystrday and got loads of info so will start takin him next week,

Katy, how's Maia doing? I'm takin D 2 get weighed 2mrw, weather permitted!! Packed away all his 0-3 months clothes 2day, was sooo sad!! My babys growin up!!

Hi Tazzy so glad you managed to get info on baby clubs from sure start. they do a good baby massage club its great for relaxing babys and Noah always sleeps for a least 2 hrs after. Its a great way to meet other mums too . ive made a few friends now and we now meet up to go to all the baby things. Good luck with it hun. P.s i totally understand your feelings over the years. I never thought id have a baby. Its a long story but there was a lot of resentment and regret over the years. Miracles happen and im so glad Noah was my miracle. If you never have anymore Danyial will always be the one that was meant to be. However you are a young lady and in time when you have saved enough money who knows. Took me 3 attempts over 17 years for my miracle.

Katy how you doing hun, what baby groups do you go to then, hows wayne. So agree with you about the weather ive given up on it now. Tell myself no point getting upset about it. So thats why me and Noah go to so many clubs.

Hi ladies, hope your all well.

Alice is getting so funny, she sees me and laughs all the time, the cheeky little monkey, she has started sleeping through which is great cos I'm getting loads of sleep, and then I miss her and can't wait to get to in the morning Very Happy

I started her on baby rice made with express milk on Sunday at 17 weeks and she loved it, ate it all up then cried for more.
I have to say I love my life, having Alice is better then I imagined it would be, and it's really great to have you girls you have helped so much and your all special to me. And its lovely that we can keep on helping each other,i hope were all still taking when they go off to uni and we feel abandoned lol

Hello all

Obi, thanks about another baby Smile

I had such a sickly, horrible pregnancy that I used 2 say 'that's it, I just want this 1 baby', but would love some more in the future!! Obviously, if it never happens, ill always be grateful 4 my one miracle.

Hannah, can't believe Alice is already eating!! D is 15 weeks tomorrow so I'm going to see in a few weeks if he's ready yet.
I second the fact that we should keep in contact till these lot go uni and stuff!! Dnno wat I'd hav done without u guys 2...

Katy, tare, hope u guys and babies r well Smile

Daniyal is doin good. Had a few problems with feeding but think we're gettin bak on track. I love it when he's awake as we have such lovely playtimes!! He laughs and laughs and is such a pleasure 2 b around him!! The love I c in his eyes when he looks at me, nothing in the whole world can compare to that..I love him soooo much!!

It's great how they are starting to interact isn't it tazzy,
Planning another meet up, in august. So far it's any day except 4 th and 18 th. I would prefer either a Sunday or sat 11 th. Are there any days you ladies couldn't make? Or any days you wanna suggest?

Hi everyone!

Obi - We just go to our local play groups at the moment, but we're hoping to start a swimming course and a TinyTalk course soon. What kind of groups do you go to? Did you say you do baby massage? Hubby is fine, very busy with work but he has holiday coming up soon so we're looking forward to some daddy time! How's Liam? Hope Noah is getting on ok!

Hannah - Glad to hear Alice is sleeping through now. What did your HV say about weaning? Mine is adamant that it should be 6 months exclusive breastfeeding, not that I think M is ready for weaning yet anyway. They all seem to give different advice, don't they? How is she getting on? Have you tried other foods yet or still just baby rice? I'm so pleased to hear you're so happy - it's so amazing being a mummy, isn't it?

Tazzy - So pleased to hear you're enjoying your time with Daniyal so much too. Every little thing they do is so amazing, I could literally just sit playing with Maia all day every day. In fact that's all I do, hence the fact I have mountains of washing and ironing, and the house is a tip! Wink

Tare - Hope Teo is ok! I still can't believe it's a whole year ago since EC and ET. We are so lucky to have our gorgeous little ones!

AFM - I took Mswimming this morning and for the first time she really, really enjoyed it. She was kicking her legs, giggling and playing with the ducks, it was so great! The times before she was ok with it, she kicked a bit and it didn't make her cry, but she seemed so much more confident today. The weather is really getting to me now. Hubby keeps saying we could go abroad, but I can't face the stress of a baby in the heat. Let's face it, I was a wreck during the hot spell a few weeks ago, it'd be a nightmare abroad! We'd spend half the day in the room and the rest under an umbrella out of the sun...I just hope we get a bit of sunshine soon to cheer us up and let us get out a bit more. I didn't envisage spending my maternity leave stuck indoors! I was just about to take M for a walk earlier and it started thundering. It's JULY!!! Sorry, I'm ranting about something we can't do anything about! We're pretty busy in August, so just let me know when and where the meet is and we'll hopefully be able to make it.

Hi Katy,

11 th or 12 th is looking like a favorite at the minute, is either day better for you?

Not had Alice on anything else yet as I'm taking it slow but I just made pear puree so she will be trying that tomorrow.

Was the weather bad there today? We went to the zoo on a trip with the children's centre today and it was lovely weather. Looks like its supposed to get better from the weekend Smile

I think I'm free on both, just waiting on hubby to work out when we're coming back from our holiday. If you guys go ahead and arrange date, place etc, we'll be there if we can!

Your zoo trip sounds lovely! I can't wait to take M to the zoo one day! It's been rain and storms down here! I'm sick of it! We managed to get out for a walk to see the horses near us when the cloud broke for half hour. It's just sooooo depressing!

I have been to skeggy with Steve and Alice it was lovely and he's off for the rest of the week so we're enjoying some family time Very Happy

it's my birthday today so were just off out for dinner. Were having a bbq later and invited all our families including my biological and adopted families so I'ma lil nervous about how that will go down but I thought we should test drive it ready for Alice's first birthday.
The weather has been so enjoyable. Hope you and your babies are well. I'll let you know oncei know if the next meet up gets planned any further. And let me know if there are any locations to want to suggest x

We're so enjoying the nice weather, it's so lovely to get out and about with the pram, though the rain cover worries are replaced with parasol stress...don't know how many cars we've bumped into with ours! Wink

looks like its gonna be 11th or 12th for def. maybe chatsworfth farm and picnic but all depends on weather. to be honest im not really sure we have agreed on place but something like.

are your littleuns being good, noah has got through his 4month terrors. they say its one of the worst, hmm it wasnt easy. but he is back to his lovely smiley self. got a packed week next week. every day all day. good i know but a bit daunting sometimes . would like a quiet day. still wearther meant to be crap next week so at least im doing something. He is 5mths old today.

Hiya all

Happy belated b'day Hannah, hope it all went well Smile

we're in a dilemma about D's 1st b'day 2 as DH's parents r divorced and can't stand 2 b in the same room as each other!! Fun and games!!

Katy, hope u and Maia r well Smile

Well, we went 2 stay with my parents last Sunday and came back on Friday (just me and D) and had a brilliant time Smile

weather was gorgeous so we were out and about every day which has done D the world of good as he's usually just stuck indoors with me! He had his 16 week jabs yesterday also and had a fever through the night, feels much better now.

Best get some sleep then guys, take care all Smile

Obi - I'll have a look at those shades, though I think the rain cover will be coming out again soon! Sad

I hadn't heard of the 4 month terrors, but we're back to waking for night feeds again so maybe that's what it's down to, plus M's been a bit grizzly with new people. I just put it down to the heat, but it's freezing here tonight and she's back in her sleeping bag, so maybe it's her age! Has Noah got any teeth through yet? We can swap nos when I see you next. Chatsworth sounds lovely. We'be got a family party on the 12th all day so we wouldn't be able to make it if it's then.

Tazzy - Glad to hear you had a good time with your folks. Is D feeding better now? I can't believe you're thinking about D's first birthday party - we haven't finished planning Christmas yet! Wink

(Though dh has most of it sorted - he's such a big kid!) I'm sorry to hear D had a fever after his jabs. M's been fine with all of hers so far. I still hate having to hold down her little legs for it! Poor kids!

Hannah - How did your BBQ go? Hope you had a lovely birthday!

Tare - Our little twins are four months old today! Where has the time gone? We'll have to have some cake to celebrate - as if we need an excuse for cake! Very Happy

M's latest trick is to try to shove both hands in her mouth at once (so ladylike) and she's getting a couple of spots round her mouth so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get a tooth soon! She's so funny - we're having so much fun and I love hearing her little giggle! She's learning what happens when we play little games and anticipates some of the actions. Tummy time barely exists now as every time I put her on her front she rolls straight onto her back! Any tips for keeping them on their front a bit longer? My friend had her baby yesterday, a gorgeous little boy. When they told us they were going in to be induced hubby and I both admitted to ourselves we were feeling a little jealous - we were so excited for them. Then I remembered what being induced was actually like!

Hi ladies, sorry I've not been on much, dh has been off all week so we have been making the most of the weather, had some lovely family time, the BBQ went well though my dad did sulk most the way through. Tazzy I say invite them both they are grown ups and if they want to see their grandson they will get over it.

It's been agreed on the 12 th. Clare that sounds lovely, hope you have a really great time, happy 4 months maia and Teo. I think obi means the 4 month growth spurt. They all seam to have stopped sleeping through at around 4 months.

Katy could you try put a mirror in front of maia at tummy time? I read that's supposed to help

Hi everyone!

It's a year today since I found out I was pregnant and now I'm sitting watching my gorgeous little girl rolling about, squealing and grinning as she plays with her toys - I am so unbelievably happy! It still feels unreal at times (that may be the sleep deprivation now we're back on night feeds!) and I'm so glad to have made some lovely friends over the past year and a bit.

I hope you're all well and that your babies are all bouncy and happy!
