Hi Melski - try not to panic lots of ladies have spotting and af pains in early pregnancy and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Have you spoken to Care? It could be the pessaries, especially since you had bits of spotting pre OTD. Maybe you should try them up the back passage? Hope you ok big hug your way xx
LTJ - thats fantastic news about your scan glad everything has gone so well, it must be lovely to have seen your baby bean! x
I'm still doing well no problems so far, just very tired and sore boobs. They seem to be expanding rapidly I'm a 30G anyway so knew they would be likely to swell somewhat! DH is enjoying this aspect anyway |

| Hey guys, worse today, strong AF cramps all night and all day with no let up on resting. Brown spotting has turned pink and got a bit heavier. Care are ringing me in the morning to book the earliest possible scan (probably Wed as 6 weeks then), but I may not make it to Wed. They said I should be realistic as cramping with bleeding is not a good sign and if it is miscarriage, it will turn to red with clots soon... Some weekend. We're devastated. x |

Hi Melski - so sorry to hear about the spotting. I've had the same. It started last Tuesday but up to now hasn't got any worse. Strange how the advice differs depending on which CARE hospital you are having your treatment. At Manchester they advise you to use the pessaries rectally and they don't seem too concerned if the bleeding is brown. Fingers crossed it stops soon and all is well when you have your scan

| Morning guys, scan and bloods at 11am. Fully expecting confirmation it's all over as spotting turned to full blown red AF with clots last night. We're devastated. I hope everyone else goes onto have healthy pregnancies. Thanks for your support guys. The shortest lived dream come true in history! xxx |

| Hi guys, it's officially over for us this time. No sac and lining too thin, so scan confirmed I am miscarrying. Just gotta wait for blood results tomorrow to see hormone levels and then may need further bloods later this week to check they're falling as they should. Good luck to everyone else and thanks for your support xxx |

Melski, I'm so sorry for you and DH. Its devestaing and very unfair to loose a baby when you've had a positive like that. I know I've been there many times. Take time to grieve as thats needed, lots of tears can help it releases that pain you have in your heart(been told that many times over the years) and it actually does help.
You should also both spoil yourself whethers its a night away a quiet meal or a lot of booze! it helps too.
Sending a (((hug)))
Hi to everyone else.
I've been trying to stay positive now, we were so gutted when we found out we'd lost another baby and I've had an awful week petrified soemthing will happen to our other baby. But now we are trying to smile and be happy that we have one, its over 13 weeks now so fingers tightly crossed...they will be until the end!
I was so looking forward to being a twin Mummy but a Mummy full stop is far more satisfiying after many years of heart ache.
Thank you for your lovely messages.

Melski I am so so so so so sorry to hear your devastating news.
I really hope this is not the end of your journey and you get good news soon.

Ladies,
Bunny - it must be a very anxious time for you I hope you are ok. Have you bought a heart rate monitor? Now you are at 13 weeks you should be able to hear babies heart beat on one and this may help put your mind at rest? You do need some training as it can be difficult to pick out, but I'm sure your midwife will be able to help with this x
LTJ - it must be feeling very surreal! I know I still don't feel like I can possibly be pregnant. x
Me - I was hoping for some advice about when to go for my first scan. It is booked for w/c 17 Oct at present. However DH is away all of that week and really wants to come with me, so has asked that we postpone it to w/c 24 Oct. I however am desperate to find out what is happening and don't really want to postpone! But conversely really want DH to share the day! x |

Sam - I have spoken to Care this morning and we have now moved it to w/c 24 Oct.
I won't even be 6 weeks by the 14 October and the nurse said there would be very little chance of seeing a h/b so it would be a waste of time - I would spend the next week panicing anyway!
My scan date is now in week 7 which is consistent with some other ladies rather than week 6, so its not that much longer to wait!
Plus scan is now on my birthday - OTD was DH birthday so hoping this is a good sign! xx |

Best to wait to see the heartbeat, glad you got it sorted. That is definitely a good sign! Enjoy the wait \ It is driving me c.r.azy! Only 6 more days for us......
I think it better to have DH there, they feel left out of it enough, DH loved being there for collection and implant, he said he felt part of it for the first time. Although I am sure he wouldn't want all the poking and prodding that we have had though! LOL

Hi,
Phoenix, Thank you it is difficult I found the last week stressful worrying something would happen to this baby to? But Marta our Surrogate has a doppler and like you say its picked up the heartbeat a couple of times! She sent me a recording of it and it was so emotional listening to it!
Good luck with your scan 7 weeks is a better time to 6 weeks you'll see that heartbeat pumping away!
Melski, How are doing, I hope you are both ok. (((hugs))) xx
LTJ, Best of luck with the midwife app, it doesn't feel real so early on its funny! Enjoy!
Hi to everyone else.
We are in a dilema wether or not to wait until 20 weeks for a scan or to have an extra one at 17 weeks? Marta our lovely Surrogate can't do the week of 16 weeks which is a shame but it obviously needs to fit in around her!
Also after 20 weeks do we get a 3d/4d scan done as well? We don't want to know what the baby is I want a surprise! So I'm not sure if I want to see what the baby looks like? Or does it not really show that much? I may not get another chance to do one so don't want to regret not having one either!
Decissions decissions!

Bunny you have been through so much. I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like to find out that you had lost another baby, but this one sounds strong. You have reached a milestone and it sounds like your wonderful surrogate is keeping a close eye on things for you. I can totally understand why you would want to have another scan before 20 weeks
Phoenix - glad you have sorted your scan date so that your DH can be there. Hope it comes round soon for you
Sam and Babydoo - I think we have all got our scans next week. Counting the days down
Hope everyone else is doing ok

hi all,
have been off work today as totally exhausted, I fell asleep after my breakfast and only woke up when I heard the bin men pull up. Went to see my GP as feeling so tired all the time and need about 11 hours sleep every night. He is sending me for blood tests for anaemia, diabetes and thyroid probs. Hoping its nothing and will pass soon. fingers crossed.
back to work tomorrow as feel ok after 4 hour nap this morning and not at work til 10am so can have a little lie in.
Only working 3 days next week then I have 2 weeks annual leave..... can't wait.
Hope everyone else is fine.

Hi Ladies,
Bunny - I think you should go for the 3d scan can completely understand why you want another one! Sure I'll end up having one between 12w and 20w seems a long time!
3w - not long till your scan now I hope everything goes perfectly!
LTJ - sorry to hear you're feeling so tired but you did the right thing taking the day off and visiting your GP. I know tiredness is normal in early pregnancy but if its really affecting you best to get it checked out.
Well I've had a bit of nausea now have been wretching past two mornings, so trying to get some sugar in my first thing, going to eat a banana as soon as I get up see if that helps!
Hope everyone else ok

hi all,
i was through the 2ww with some of you.
melski - so sorry about your loss, i fully understand what you are going through, i had a mc at 5.5 wks too through fet and it was really the shortest lived dream ever. please hang in there.
as for me - my otd was friday 7, however care advised i test on monday and continue with all medication, on my own accord i stopped half of what i was taking as i knew there was no pregnancy (or what there was had ended altogether). On monday i tested and it was negative. I have only started bleeding this thursday which makes it 22 days post transfer. I had a lot of cramps (little contractions) and i passed a piece in the toilet which i beleive was definately not a blood cloth. sorry tmi, i picked it up and took it to the hospital to have it screened. They have done a lot of screening on me and told me that what i was getting was not a period but only due my cervix being opened up just to 'reject' what was inside, only to become closed again. Anyway, i have now got what i am assuming is my period. What i have passed is very similar to what i had passed in the mc at 5.5 wks but obviously it is slightly smaller. I am gutted as this is the third pregnancy which i have lost so early. I am going to be screened through the hospital to see what is going on with. It is so strange as i did have a full term pregnancy ( which i keep thanking God for). It is so sad that my precious embryo transfers had to be lost like this as I have been thinking about each potential one as a precious baby. will have to wait for lab results of the material which i have passed.
best wishes to all of you lovely ladies with babies along the way.
