Hi Everyone

Just popped on to welcome Somedaysoon. Congrats on sticking with it chuck crumbs 16 attempts your obviously a fighter too. Thanks for your comments that is very kind. I have had a few wobbles over the weekend doubting myself but I know that I can do this and an ex work colleague brought her 22 month old into work today and I was just so natural with her playing and talking its amazing how long a sheet of stickers could amuse her we both looked like we had measles when she had finished LOL Laughing

Jo Jo - I am so pleased all is going so well for you and everything is behaving. Hows the decorating going? What colours have you chosen? I was talking about having to do a bit of painting here and there in my house today. I have a bright pink bathroom and when I say bright i mean it its the only room with colour the rest of the house is cream!!!! I love the pnk but it is in desparate need of a clean up. Not sure what colour to re do it though? Any suggestions?? Bathroom suite is white and tiles are white.

Em - I have this vision of this little girl going up and down stairs time after time after time LOL. You just wait till she is walking and she is all over the place LOL.

I hope everyone else is ok and doing well. i sent my adoption paperwork off yesterday so fingers crossed they pull their fingers out now and allocate me a new social worker soon.

Have a great evening everyone and once again welcome Somedaysoon.

xxxx

Hello to all!!
Hope everyone is well!!

Hi to Somedaysoon ... welcome to the thread!! The ladies on here are amazing!! Been a great support having them to chat to over the months!
I am doing well, very tired and very swollen feet! Liked the sunshine, as could wear my flip flops, no idea what to put on my feet today with rain/sleet!!
I'm very much looking forward to meeting my baby after all these months but a little nervous about the actual labour! I don't have a very high pain threshold but I will go with the flow and try to focus on that end result!
Congratulations to you on your baby daughter ... hope you are enjoying every moment with her!
You were a real fighter to go through so much to get her, she must be very precious! What is her name?

Sar, sorry to hear you have had a few wobbles, hope you are now over these and looking onwards. You will make an amazing Mum to a much deserved little one! Keep smiling!
How did the sessions go last week??
Sounds like you had fun with your colleagues little one ... you do sound a natural!

I can't believe that I have less than three weeks to go (or maybe a little longer if baby is late!) Vince thinks it will be here on the 4th May, so almost 2 weeks late!!!
I am now all moved in with Vince and keeping my fingers crossed that someone comes along soon to buy my house and save us some money!

Love to everyone

Sarah x x

Gosh Sarah I cant believe you only have 3 weeks left. Bluming heck where has that time gone? So nice to hear that you are all moved in with Vince and that it is going all ok. Have you got the babies room sorted?
Cant wait to get a message saying you have had it. Do you know what it is I cant remember if you have asked. I am going with a boy for you! Very Happy

Try and take these next few weeks at a slow pace because boy your going to pick up speed when LO arrives. LOL

The course by the way was excellent very thought provoking and I had to use my brain LOL not used to doing that very often LOL. I am fine now and thanks for the kind words. Onwards and upwards I fight!!!!

Take care love to everyone. xx

Hi Everyone,

Welcome Somedaysoon – WOW 16 attempts, well done girl you certainly stuck at it Smile No doubt your daughter is all the more precious given all you have gone through. Enjoy every moment‼

Jo – Glad things are going well for you; the little man will be here before you know it. I hope the decorating (of the backroom Smile) has gone well. I’m superstitious too and can see me not wanting to do anything or buy anything until the last minute‼

Sar – Reading your post about it being a year since you lost your little one had me in tears. I lit a candle for you that night too. It sounds like the training was challenging but good for you nonetheless. Fingers crossed they sort your paperwork out soon and you’ll be onto the next step.

Sarah – only three weeks left, your little family will be complete before your know it. You sound so happy and settled with Vince you’ll be fantastic parents.

Sam – how’s things, I hope you’re ok and you got good news relating to your gall bladder problems and it won’t delay your treatment too much?

Em – I hope you and Lola and doing great?

Hello to everyone else and I hope you are all doing well.

Well I’m struggling to concentrate at work today; so I’m posting on here, on count down until it’s time to go home LOL

I’m doing pretty well, although I’m getting quite nervous about the scan next Friday. By Friday I’ll be 7 weeks and 3 days……Fingers crossed all will be ok. I’m not as tired as I was and I’ve got back into exercising albeit gently, I’ve been swimming twice this week and will look to get back in the gym after I’ve had my scan. I still don’t know why they told me I couldn’t do anything at all after the IUI when I normally work out 3-4 times a week, it’s not like I had the most invasive of treatments Very Happy
I’m looking forward to Easter Sunday, for no other reason than I can eat chocolate again. Don’t ask me why but I gave it up for lent (I’m not even religious‼), but I’ve certainly missed munching on Mini Eggs Very Happy

Right I guess I had better finish up my work before I leave‼‼

I hope you all have a fantastic long weekend and have a great Easter, hopefully the sun will come back out to play and the snow will do one Laughing

Love to everyone
Nicky

No baby yet!! 10 days to ODD!!
Saw the midwife yesterday and all is good ... just waiting for baby to decide when he/she is ready!

Had a rough week ... we lost my Grandpa suddenly on saturday night! But is a blessing for him as he had alzheimer's and had been living in a home since October and wasn't happy!! But hard to lose him!
Funeral is not until 25th April (2days after ODD!), so really hoping I can make it x

Hope everyone is OK.

Good Luck today Nicky, look forward to hearing about your scan.

Sar, how's the hand??

Hope everyone else is well

Love Sarah x x

Sar - have you got your hand back? Smile Hope it all went well at the hospital and your hand has healed well?

Someday - how you doing? How's your little one?

Sarah - not long now, I'm excited for you Very Happy I bet you can't wait to meet your precious little one. Sorry to hear about your Grandpa - stay strong and remember the good times.

Lily - how's your treatment progressing, I hope it's all going as you hoped.

Nannysam - have you started your treatment or did you have to wait until next month?

Em, Jo, Wendy and Stella.... I hope you ladies are ok? Sorry if I've missed anyone but I hope your are doing great too.

AFM - Well today was my first scan, it was amazing to see the heartbeat and see the little bean wriggle around. It all seems real now I'm 7W4D and the due date they gave was 26 November, I thought it would be the 28th but what's a couple of days at the end of 9 months lol.

They spotted a big(ish) subserosal fibroid while doing the scan which wasn't showing on any of the pretreatment scans so they think it's growing now due to the increased hormone levels, and it will have to be monitored on the routine scans.

I've now been discharged back to my Doctor, I'm quite looking forward to telling him I'm pregnant as he has been so supportive during this process!!

I feel so lucky and blessed that things worked out first time, especially doing natural-IUI given that they said my AMH and AFC results were poor!!

Take care everyone and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!

Love & hugs

Nicky

Nicky, Isn't seeing that little heartbeat amazing??!!
So glad that it went well and that you are now on your way to motherhood!! And what a great little gift you will get for christmas this year!

I can't wait to see what our little bundle looks like now!! It does seem a long wait when you get towards the end!! But will be here soon enough and then there will be no rest for us!!
We are just having a lazy one today, making the most of it whilst we can!!

Hello to everyone else.

Hi everyone

Sarah - So sorry to hear about your Grandpa thats a terrible shame and for the funeral to be so close to your due date. Hopefully everything will go ok and you will be able to be there.

Nicky - So pleased the scan went well its wonderful isnt it to see everything on the screen. hope the fibroid behaves itself and doesnt cause you too much concern.

AFM - I have my hand back YEAH!!!! I started back at the pub this weekend which has been tiring but good too. Thankfully off work from school so it has eased me in gently at least no going to bed at 1 and up at 6 that can wait for next week. LOL. Funny thing happened when I was at the hospital though I had a bit of time to spare as I went in for my appointment really quickly so I decided to pop to the chapel as it is such a lovely room. I sat on the back row and in front of me was a hymn book and prayer book and under that I could see a folder with some writing in it and my surname. I had to have a look so i picked up the hymn book and on the date I was in hospital last year having my D & C the vicar had writen in the book 5th April 2012 prayer for Baby (then my surname) and for its family. Well how spooky is that that I should decide on a whim to go there and to also see that. I took it as a lovely sign and it made me cry but also feel fulll of love. How kind of the vicar to remember.

Right I do hope everyone else is ok. Sonmeday soon have you been keeping up the baby massage?

Wendy i hope your ok.

Off to get a cup of coffee now and wait for my fence panels to arrive!!!!

take care

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing OK.

Just thought I'd check in and say i am still waiting for my little bundle to arrive!
3days until ODD!!
Been having lots of Braxton hicks and feeling very uncomfortable now but plodding along! Was out shopping yesterday, people kept asking how long I had to go and then were shocked that I was out on my own!! I have a feeling that I will be home alone when the time comes and will probably panic but have all the numbers I need in my phone, so sure I will get it all sorted!
Look forward to sharing the news with you all soon

SAR, Glad you finally have your hand back! How strange that you should pop into the chapel whilst at hospital and see your name! Nice to know your little one is still being remembered and they always will be.

Take Care

Sarah - I got all excited last night when I saw you'd posted, I though it would have been baby news!!! So as the little one isn't ready for the big wide world just yet I'll echo Sar's GOOD LUCK!!! Here's hoping for a smooth, swift and safe arrival Smile

Sar - glad you've got your hand back!!! I hope work and the pub isn't too tiring for you. WOW that was lovely of the vicar and quite apt that you decided on a whim to go, I'm sure it's got to be a sign that someones looking down and good things will happen and you will be a mummy one day soon..... And a GREAT one too!

AFM last Saturday morning sickness hit me like a ton of bricks. I couldn't move at all Saturday or Sunday without feeling like I would throw up everywhere. Good job I was back to 'normal' for work on Monday although a little drained. Now this weekend when I plan to swim and do a gentle workout for the first time, I come down with a stinking cold and my nose is like a tap. One brilliant thing today though (after scraping myself off the sofa) I went to tell my sister and brother in law that I was pregnant. If you remember my sister wasn't all that supportive when I told her what my plans were, but she was so happy and really pleased everything had worked out well, even had the brother in law in tears - it was more than I could have ever expected.

Hi to everyone else - I hope you're all ok?

xXx

Ah Nicnac so pleased you family were so pleased for you. That made me smile loads. Morning sickness is a pig isnt it. I hated every bit of it. Take it easy and eat a little and often. Friend told me to have palin biscuits by the bed and eat one before you got up! Supposed to help but you will find what works for you.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Sarah Hope the funeral goes ok for you and that your holding on to that little one till its all over

AFM - managed to break my ceramic hob the other day. Honest I think someone really hates me up there you know! More flipping money to find now but at least I am back at the pub. Saying that though feel shattered today first day back at school and doing pub too cant wait for the weekend LOL Laughing
Take care

Hi All,

Had my sweep yesterday but still baby isn't here!!
He/she is fully engaged but obviously likes being where it is!! I must be too good of a hostess!!
We are booked in on Sunday to be induced if nothing happens before then!!!
V's parents are not happy about that as they go on holiday for two weeks on Sunday morning!

Busy washing, ironing and cleaning today, making sure the house is straight before we do bring baby home!! And may make baby move!! hehe!!

Hope everyone is well. Be in touch again soon.

Hello All!!!

I am a Mummy!!! And still can't believe it!!!
Baby Theo David John Mason was born on Sunday 6th May 2012 at 10:58pm weighing 7lbs 5.5ozs!
He is perfect!! Was a little fast coming out and caused me some damage - had to be whisked off to theatre - so very sore but OK.
We are now home and getting settled into family life!

Will upload a pic soon.

Love Sarah & Theo x x x

Hi to everyone that I have chatted to before and to all that have joined since I last visited.

Can I ask you all if you dont mind what peoples BMI was when they began IUI. I had a consulation in February and I was told that my BMI was too high at 40 and it needed to be 35 and my blood pressure needed to come down. My doctor has no problem at all with my blood pressure and says he cant see Care's concerns with my blood pressure. I have googled my blood pressure and it is coming up as in the higher side or normal but well within the normal range, and lower than when it was last taken at care. My BMI is now 36 and Care is now saying that it needs to me lower than 30 and i need to ask my GP for blood pressure medication!!!

Im so annoyed, i saw a care nurse on Friday and she said she cant see why my treatment cant start very soon and i have seen others having IUI at BMI's higher than my current BMI.

I feel so ignored, as if my consultant just doesnt want to treat me. Im thinking of going elsewhere but I have already paid out hundreds to get this far and Im just feekling really frustrated!!

Sarah
MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS on the safe and healthy arrival of baby Theo.
I hope you are recovering well and both settling at home. Enjoy every minute.
Can't wait to see a picture Smile

Readyforbetternews
Sorry you are having a difficult time with your blood pressure and BMI, my BMI prior to my IUI was 23 so I'm not really of any help to you on that score, but I'm sure I have read on here that some clinics will treat you with a BMI of 35 as you were initially informed, so it's very unfair that they appear to have changed the goal posts on you now. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you can get started with your IUI very very soon.

Sar
Hope you're doing ok and I hope you're not working too hard. Smile

AFM - absolutly shattered, been working for the past 16 days none stop with two big sports finals events completed (not competing I will add, running and managing the events) thats the season over now, so it's time to take it easy now for a few!!! I've got my scan next week which I'm excited about, but nervous all the same. Then it'll be time to tell the boss and people at work I'm pregnant - I can't wait to see their faces LOL

I hope everyone else is okay, is gone rather quiet on here!!

Right time for bed!! Night night xx

Whoop Whoop ITS A BOY YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SARAH CONGRATS. I am soooooooooooooooo pleased for you well done and hello baby Theo (what a lovely name). I wish I had had a bet on him being a boy LOL.

Nic Nac - so glad to hear that your doing well I hope the scan goes well its so lovely to see baby on the screen. You make sure you rest though that baby is precious.

Ready for - I cant tell you re IUI as I had IVF but they treated me and my BMI was over 40! Are you paying private or have you been referred? Which clinic? I was at Manchester and paid private. Just wondered if it was a stipulation if its on the NHS.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

I am fine just flipping busy this time of year goes mad a school for me I practically end up bald by the end of July Laughing

Sorry I cant pop on too much but I try to get on when I can and read when I can.

Again Congrats Sarah and cant wait to see a pic of Theo.
